Meredith Erobern☨ Titles:
The Sleeping Giant☨ Age:
c.300 (19)☨ Gender:
Erobern Original Family
Emotionally Augmented/Controlled - As an extremely emotional person, most of Meredith's actions are heavily influenced by impulse and feeling. Despite capable of rational thinking, this trait may directly affect not only her actions, but even her abilities. While typically keeping herself well under control, Meredith's elegance, precise process of movement, and even her combat style can suddenly shift into a wild, animistic onslaught of messy wide swings of full power and relentless strikes. For example, after being freed from her "mental cage" by a brother she never knew she had, Meredith acted out offensively in an aggressive attempt at self-defense. Of course, this sort of thing happens only after Meredith is pushed past a certain point; otherwise, she exhibits self-control.
- Silver Tongue - Meredith has quite the way with words, explained by her impressive intelligence and understanding of the psyche. She can carry heavy influence in her words, controlling them through tone of voice and selective diction. In diplomatic scenarios she has a noticeable advantage, proven by an attempt to gain favour with the Demon God through reverent wording and reference to her family's loyalty (though ineffective in the end). On the other hand, her talent has prompted others to scrutinise Meredith for "serpent-speak". Even trusted allies find caution in her dialogue. In typically negative connotation, at times Meredith impulsively speaks her thoughts aloud. This fact has forced Meredith to be extremely careful with her mouth, and--while in control--stay as quiet as possible. Given the simultaneous advantages and disadvantages, Meredith's "Silver-Tongue" is appropriately dubbed a "double-edged sword".
- Intellect - Also a double-edged sword--later to be explained--Meredith's intelligence is but one of her many assets. It isn't a stretch to say she's a genius in multiple ways, including the capacity to process complex scenarios with ease, and quickly grasp concepts on a mental/physical level. A clear representation is her calculated movements mid-combat and adaptability to a situation. In a mental sense, if she were taught a portion of physics, it won't be too difficult for her to find some other relative details and eventually find more complex theorems as a result. While most find intellect a cherished trait, Meredith isn't as optimistic. A part of being smart is having a hard time being ignorant. If someone was lying to her, it's usually easy to see past the lie--especially white lies. At other times, she might be learning how to, say, do a certain sport; if she were to learn at the same time as a friend, chances are she will progress at a faster rate. To her, a sense of accomplishment is easily replaced by a sense of isolation.
- Quiet/Inexpressive - Mentioned before, Meredith is a quiet girl. Her true feelings are definitely loud, but her emphasis on self-control prevents their reveal in most scenarios. Her mouth runs off on its own, and her emotions deep within control her actions. So what's the best way to prevent her subconscious from dictating her expressiveness? Lack any sort of expressiveness at all. But while Meredith keeps her feelings and words at bay, those close to her will constantly notice this sense of sorrow from her. Praised a genius with inexplicable talent in all sorts of fields, Meredith still finds herself limited in different aspects, and above all else she is still a young girl. The contrast of praise she receives from her talents to the shortcomings she constantly tries to cover up is, to an extent, emotionally deprecating. Despite that, Meredith is well aware that there are those who have gone through immensibly more suffering, leading her to avoid accepting her sadness, thus creating more sadness.
- Optimistic - Do not be mistaken, Meredith is frequently sad. But Meredith also disallows this sadness to grasp ahold of her, alongside her other emotions and speech. In fact, her inherit sorrow is the reason for her optimism. Knowing fully well that there are people who have gone through worse and ended up better, Meredith aspires to be similar in that aspect. That, in the very least if her shortcomings are not conquered, she can learn to accept them. This has caused her to assume the role of an uplifter to family and friends. When things become complicated and the odds are not in favour, Meredith is certain to be there and comfort them.

____________________________________________________☨ Natural Abilities:Human Body:
In mind and spirit Meredith is a demon; physically, she is human. That is to say, while she is a demon by soul, that soul has retained a human body. Under normal circumstances, over time her human body will have died and been shed, only to reveal her demonic soul eventually manifest a physical body. Her stasis has created very complicated circumstances. This stasis has kept her cells from aging while the centuries passed by. With the exception of a few characteristics, her body is wholly human and can possess the physical talents of any other human body--including abilities solely owned by humans.Strength/Frailty
While her body had been effectively "frozen in time" during her physical stasis, the icker which infected Meredith did not cease in activity. Throughout the centuries up to her release, Meredith's icker transformed her human body to extremities. As a result, the structural make-up of her muscles vastly differ from the typical human. In terms of power, Meredith's strength is akin to a fully grown male war elephant. This is accomplished through an intense condensing of her muscles and the further addition of muscle fibers, all cramped into her body. Her weight is approximately 2400 pounds as a result. Of course, such mammoth strength is not without repercussions. While Meredith's muscles have been massively developed, her bones retained their average density and structure. That in mind, while Meredith is capable of dishing out insane amounts of physical power she is widely held back by a lack of bone structure to support her full strength. Without caution, it's all too easy for Meredith to break her bones.Agility/Forced
Meredith is very much in control of her body. Essentially every movement she makes is quickly thought out before she makes them, and the level of cautiousness in even the slightest centimetre of movement has inherently generated a higher sense of agility. The primary factor that has caused her to develop this level of caution is the extreme strength within her body. The slightest wrong movement can fracture or break a bone.Pain Toleration
The pressure on her body is constant and unbearable by normal standards. The weight of her muscles alone should be enough to utterly crush her body. Through unexplained variables, her body stays upright. The cost? The constant weight all over her body, demanding her to fall to the floor. Meredith's body was in stasis, but not her mind. Over the centuries, she has felt every single moment of pain coursing through her body. During muscular development, bone breaking and crushing was not uncommon, so on top of the enormous pressure she experienced, there was also legitimate damage to her body. Exposure has led her to achieve a phenomenal tolerance to pain, to the point of lack of a sense of touch, even. It's dandy and all to resist pain in most circumstance, but it's also incredibly disheartening to never again feel the warm embrace of a loved one.Regeneration/Shortened Life
The regenerative qualities of the Erobern Icker have effectively transformed the rate of cellular production in Meredith's body. While her body produces cells at an extremely high rate, that also means her body decays at an extremely high rate. The human bodies possesses a limited amount of cells produced in its lifetime under normal circumstances. Meredith's regeneration has altered those circumstances, so while her body can repair itself at a rate enough to heal entire limbs within moments, her physical body is expected to fully decay in less than a year after release from her time stasis.Self-Sufficiency/Atmospheric Dependency
The icker has transformed Meredith's body to the extent of a different diet and respiratory system. A brand new organ in her body has formed directly below the diaphragm--which has decreased in size to make room, resulting in a higher pitched voice than normal. This organ is small initself, and allows for molecular conversion of carbon and silicon intake to form other essential nutrients in hte body. With this organ, Meredith is capable of sustaining herself without any other form of consumption besides breathing in carbon, with silicon as another possible element of consumption. The loss of this organ will instantly kill off Meredith's body, but with it she needs not eat. Unfortunately, this also forces Meredith to be dependent on an atmosphere. The uzuur can only process carbon/silicon intake immediately, and does not have the capacity to store carbon and silicon for later conversion. A constant supply of carbon/silicon is necessary, and without it Meredith's body is prone to dying within a post.Hardened Skin
As a result of the Icker, Meredith's body has also changed in terms of the skin. Her body's durability has increased through a denser layer of skin around her body. Hardened through a carbon-focus of her body as a result of her "new organ", Meredith's skin is akin to the hardness of carbon-fiber. While not impervious, it takes quite a lot to pierce through her first layer of physical defense.Overdeveloped Processing Speed/Elongated Temporal Sense:
The importance of a silicon intake is stressed due to the transformation of a few organs in Meredith's body and the nervous system. Some tissue within her body is made up with a silicon base, including the entirety of her nervous system. As a semi-conductive metalloid, a silicon nervous system has enabled Meredith's body to send messages from the body to the mind and vice versa at a faster rate than normal humans. The electrical signals sent within her brain are strengthened through a silicon base of tissue as well, granting her a higher processing speed than most. Information can be siphoned through nigh instantaneously depending on how large the amount of data. On the other hand, Meredith is also subject to experiencing events for "longer" than most. That is to say, she has inherently developed and elongated sense of time, processing the world and by extension sensing reality at a different "rate of time" than the average.Multi-Lingual:
Erobern woman are taught multiple languages at a young age so that they are able to quickly adapt to the world around them. These languages include Japanese, German, English, Russian, Italian and Greek. Considering Meredith is of the original Erobern family, and has reunited with her kin only recently, as opposed to the usual standard Meredith was instead taught multiple languages at an older
age. Her talent at quickly grasping concepts has aided her in quickly gaining fluency in all the aformentioned.☨ Unique Abilities:Za Koa Skill:Demon Magic:Shadow Movement:Akuma Kyodo:Psionics:
Before her demonification, Meredith had the uncanny talent of influencing the world with her mind. Delving into the matter further it was quickly revealed to be psionics: the ability to use psychic powers. In other terms, one could plainly call her a psychic. Or perhaps an esper. After demonification it was expected that her psychic powers would be lost, considering their origins were in the mind. Once her human body were to be shed and a demon body was to manifest in its place, psionics as an ability would be lost forever. Things went, by far, different to the assumed route. Meredith's body was partially lost in a time stasis. Overtime, the core of the ability shifted from being held in her mind to her soul, becoming an inherit talent she could use regardless of her human body.
-Senses- Meredith has extraordinary sense, but not in the traditional form. Neither of her five senses are developed beyond average. Instead, her sixth sense, for lack of a better term, is what's extraordinary. Meredith's psionic sense is potent enough to be able to replace her sight and hearing. Using "sense" to discern the surroundings and vibrations, Meredith's mind automatically translates the received information into mental visualisations of sounds and space. That in mind, mentally Meredith may perceive things in three dimensions up to a 80 metre radius around her. This wide range is only fully applicable in open spaces. If Meredith was placed in a hallway? She would only be able to sense what was in the hallway and any rooms with their doors open. Her "sixth sense" cannot go through walls, or any tangible solid construct for that matter. It can, however, go around these objects to the open space behind them.
-Empathy- Meredith's most powerful talent. She is capable of a higher level of understanding when it comes to the emotions of another. While unable to clearly depict and visualise what they're feeling, Meredith can accomplish a sort of innate understanding within, while not fully knowing their emotions consciously.
-Telepathy- Slightly more developed than her senses, Meredith is capable of communicating telepathically with those in a range of 30 metres. The few exceptions include family members and close friends, despised enemies, and Iramasha and Angels. When it comes to family members and close friends, Meredith can potentially communicate with them telepathically at any distance, including interdimensionally. This is only allowed due to the strong bonds and connections she has formed with these people. In terms of despised enemies, her negative emotions for them are powerful enough to cloud and intercept any attempt at mental communication with them. Meredith cannot telepathically communicate with Iramasha and Angels primarily due to their opposing existence. Animals can be communicated with as well.
-Rift-Opening- Likely her weakest of talents, Rift-Opening is severely limited in Meredith's present state. It takes at least a single post for her to prepare a rift in space, done through linking two points of space together and tearing through the figurative "fabric". The opening can only be held for a single post before it collapses, and the size is barely enough to fit an elephant through. If she takes two posts to link the two points in space, while the opening can still only be held open for a single post, the size is enough to fit two large giraffes perpendicular to each other.
-Energy-Sight- Meredith's psychic powers allow for her to "see" supernatural energies without their condensation and physical manifestation, as other abilities might allow. Instead, she can passively see them with even the slightest emmanation. To Meredith they appear somewhat transparent, but in denser levels she can not see through them. To that effect, being able to see spiritual energies do not actually cloud her sight unless condensed to an appropriate level.Icker:
Those females who have this trait are carriers of the Icker curse and thus are individuals which can use its power. Of course the draw back of this feature is that the Icker itself is slowly eating away the humanity of the being and replacing it with the embodiment of corruption which they can be. For the time being, the Hostess is a mere vessel and will remain such for many years. But with this, they will trade their humanity for the power of the icker. Due to her time spent in stasis, although her mind was unaffected and continued to operate, function, and process information gathered by the senses, it still served to slow down the process of mental corruption that comes with the Icker curse.
____________________________________________________Adjustable Demon State
☨ Potential Unleashed:☨ Adjustable State Benefits:
Potential Unleashed isn't so much as a state of being as it is a state of mind. Meredith's power is widely controlled by her emotions, enough so that her potential is actually barred by feelings. Potential Unleashed--as the name implies--is actually the release of the cage around her potential. Technically speaking, Meredith passively carries this much power, but her heart and mind supresses her abilities. That in mind, Potential Unleashed can only be used when her heart and mind collectively release the "cage". This is typically done through anger. With her mind and heart in agreement over emotions such as wrath, rage, vengeance and the sort, at high enough levels "Potential Unleashed" may be unlocked. These dark feelings must be at the utmost high level, however. Few things will ever be able to lead her into such a berserking rage that she unleashed her potential, including but not limited to the death of a family member, a broken mental state, and the utmost highest level of fear she can experience. This method is extremely permanent and is bound to leave massive repercussions, such as a tattered body and scarred mentality. A safer but by far rarer method is a sort of enlightenment. If one can guide Meredith to a state of serenity and understanding, Meredith will be able to unlock her potential and control it, unlike the former method. Potential Unleashed is not the same as Lady Savage, a Female Erobern's "berserk" state, but Potential Unleashed must be attained before Meredith may assume this state.Hand-to-Hand Combat
Meredith is not actively aware of the innate talents she possesses in terms of Hand to Hand Combat. She has neither formal training nor expansive experience in this, but her potential as a phenomenal martial artist is boundless. Through pure intuitive movement and intellectual tactics, in a higher state such as "Potential Unleashed" Meredith becomes a formidable opponent in close quarters. Her strikes take advantage of the already forged agility she possesses and intensive strength. While in rage, she ignores bodily harm and strikes in quick succession with full-power in every swing. Enlightened, her attacks and defenses flow in a manner akin to aikido, in that she redirects that which is thrown at her back towards her enemies, capitalising on her agility as opposed to strength.Movement Enhancement
Through the use of telekinesis and senses, Meredith takes into account her surroundings and appropriate amounts of force to maximise efficiency in her movements for combative purposes. The smallest pulses of force are used in even squared centimetres of space on her body, adjusting for utmost precision. Despite her already adept capability of control, during Potential Unleashed she takes things a step further. While not necessarily faster or stronger, her movements are enhanced with the cooperation of her other talents so as to truly use all her potential in every manner necessary.Attack Extensions
Once more through the use of telekinesis Meredith extends her attacks through a pulse of force. For example, if she threw a punch? Meredith might extend the range of that punch by carrying the kinetic energy forward with a thrust of telekinetic force, the same surface area and force of her punch. While in a rage or fearful state her attacks are blatantly extended, but difficult to predict due to forced speed and power. In an enlightened state, her extensions become more creative and versatile.Rift-Opening
Likely the most frighteningly improved talent, whereas her docile state allows for a very limited use of Rift-Opening considering preparations take an entire post, during Potential Unleashed freedom of use is considerably increased. When prompted into this state of mind, Meredith may utilise multiple rift-openings en masse (100 at most) in a 100 metre radius. The sizes may all vary and lengths of time they are open. Each individual rift is manually controlled by Meredith through her multi-talented intellect. Distractions may prove detrimental to multiple rift-openings. If her focus is so much as barely shifted, the majority of the open rifts may collapse instantly. The maximum amount of rifts opened is actually achieveable only through an enlightened state of mind; on the other hand, through negative emotions such as rage or fear Meredith can use Rift-Openings far faster in exchange for a fewer amount. These rifts may be opened nearly instantaneously, and can be held open for as long as Meredith holds it open. A loss of consciousness, focus, or otherwise will cause the rifts to close without exception.Blindness
During Potential Unleashed, Meredith is actually blinded. The reason being her Energy Sight ability. During Potential Unleashed Meredith's energy levels are unrestricted as well, and in an explosively high amounts. The amount of energy released is enough to entirely cover her vision. Oddly enough, this energy derives from her demonic soul, so as opposed to being released into the world around her its instead condensed within her body in utterly massive amounts. Put simply, the density of energy within her body is enough to disintegrate most earthly objects that pierce into her.Empowered Telekinesis
The level of control Meredith possesses over her Telekinetic talents does not change. Instead, the power of her telekinesis increases, enough that her range extends to nearly half a kilometre around her, and the generated power is enough to crush entire buildings into the ground. Of course, the likelihood of that sort of usage depends on Meredith's state of mind. In a rage, more barbaric means are not above her.
-Force Wall- Similar to the example mentioned beforehand, Force Wall is but a telekinetic force spread out to encompass a surface area similar to a wall. From there, Meredith may move it back and forth in a gust of force. While it best serves as a defensive technique to block an incoming attack, it's just as effective as an offensive attack, pushing whatever is before her out of the way or crushing something into another surface.
-Repulse- Repulse works with the same mechanics as Force Wall. Telekinetic force is generated and actively spread from Meredith's body outward, pushing objects around her outward. At max power, this generated force is enough to disintegrate some objects upon coming into contact with the force.
-Vacuum Space- Taking a post to prepare, the effects of Vacuum Space are powerful but double edged. Taking control of the air within a designated space (no more than 300 metres around her), Meredith sends all the air in the vicinity outward, effectively making the designated space a vacuum. Objects being sucked into the designated space to fill it up can be held out through a telekinetic wall, preventing objects from coming into the space; or, Meredith can allow the objects and air to come in, creating a crushing pressure for anyone inside. While a potent power, it also serves to damage Meredith. The crushing pressure caused by the objects coming in will effect Meredith as well, and if she chooses to prevent objects--and by extension, air--from coming in, due to the bodily changes caused by icker Meredith will promptly die within moments.
-Vacuum Ball- Working in the same manner as Vacuum Space, Vacuum ball pushes out all objects in a smaller, spherical designated space. This ability does not use a force wall to prevent objects and air from returning to the space, and is instead designed to let exactly that occur. Vacuum Ball is a technique used with offensive purposes, used to cause destructive damage to a specific point. Vacuum Ball can not be generated inside organic/sentient beings.
-Simulated Gravity- Simulated Gravity utilises telekinetic force in a pulling fashion as opposed to the usual "push". Meredith pulls objects to the ground, simulating the effect of increased gravity. The maximum range of this technique extends to 400 metres with Meredith as the epicentre. Through similuated gravity, a localised earthquake can be formed with intensive destructive power.
-Rend- Truly embracing her demonic self, Rend is a telekinetic technique that actually requires two forces that pull in two different directions. This technique is intended to tear things apart--namely, opponents. Naturally, this ability can not be used on organic/sentient beings directly, but it can be used on a point in space nearby, pulling the entity into the space and tearing them apart from there. This technique can be used even on an entire building.
-Compact- The polar opposite to Rend, as opposed to pulling things apart Compact pushes things together. Malleable objects can be crunched into a denser form, and creatures can be crushed by the pressure. Just like Rend, this ability can not be used directly on sentient/organic entities, but can be used nearby to suck the entity into the space and crush them from thereon.
-Storming Force- One of the most taxing telekinetic techniques in Meredith's aresnal is "Storming Force". Meredith literally generates a tornado purely through rotating telekinetic force, but the Tornado covers an entire half-kilometre in ground-distance. There is no eye to this storm, and the entire vicinty is subject to the destructive torrents of wind. This ability can be held for only five posts, after which Meredith exhibits exhaustion.
-Flood- Pressurising the air in the local vicinity (200 square metres max) to the point of condensation, a massive amount of water pours down from the air onto the ground. At higher elevation Meredith can simulate rain, but typically this is done low enough to immediately result in a massive flood that offers massive potential destruction of the terrain below.Icker:Za Koa Skill:Shadow Movement:
