THE GOLDEN SUN

HARU
スターの少年

A wave of confusion and despair washed over the boy, Haru's body shaking with anger as he slowly walked his way through a singular hallway. The golden child arrived on the Moon's surface only relatively recently, his birth being mere hours before his arrival. It was odd to the kid, entering an unknown world only to focus on a single energy source that emitted from the rock's surface. Confusion is what brought Haru forward, his feet slugglishly following in suit as he attempted to make his throughout the base.

There... was quite a problem at hand, however. With all the fighting and hatred going on, a hole in one of the sectors allowed Haru to enter without fail. Now that he attempted to follow the paths of the Vanguard Base. he seemed to have... become lost. Well, lost was an understatement when it came to the perdicament that Haru found himself in. Not only did he not understand the things that surrounded him, whenever the boy came upon a door he simply could not continue forward. Of course, doors were things that were explained at a young age for everyone, but given Haru was the embodiment of Star after Star... he didn't know much. Knowing is relative, though. Being coherent for only hours posed a challenge for the Golden Boy, something he didn't consider when he sensed the energy on the moon.

"Hhhh..." A simple sigh escaped Haru's lips, his crimson eyes once again focusing on a door that he happened to stumble upon. The boy pressed his forehead against the cold steel, his inner heat causing the metal to creak and moan as he stretched. It was just a wall. A long, cold wall that kept Haru from finding out what he wished to find. It was so frustrating, the boy's anger only continuing to rise as the men and women that fought on the moon spiked in strength. All the energy had him on edge, his ability to search for that familar spark being diluted to almost nothing.

With that being the case, the child turned away from the door and groaned. Slugging his way forward once more, Haru attempted to find another open path that would allow him to further his investigation within the Vanguard Base. Upon finding a small hallway adjacent to the most recent path he walked, Haru squeezed his way through the tight walls before emerging past its reaches. Reaching the otherside proved helpful, a large bay area now stood before Haru and progression.

Within the bay existed quite a few vehicles of varying use, things that Haru had no knowledge of whatsoever. Running his hands along the cold metal of the vehicles, he made his way to the large metal doors that shut off the base from the Moon's surface. A puzzled look emerged on Haru's face as he poked at the dense metal. Before he could respond, a sharp shock flew from his fingertips to his toes, circulating around his body within a moments notice. Being flung backward into a nearby vehicle, Haru's head hung low as he groaned.

"Lucky me. Man that hurt..." Whining to himself, Haru looked ahead to the extremely large door. It seemed, once again, he was at a stand still. The Vanguard base was beyond annoying, something that continued to aggitate the boy. Was he really going to have to turn back around, again? Sigh. Hanging his head in defeat, Haru took a deep breath before yelling. Upon yelling, the boy bolted from his sitting position towards the door once more. Slamming his entire body into the electrical field, Haru was sent flying backwards before coming to an aburpt stop against the wall.

"Ow..."

Moon - Yokko Kanno / Origa (Clicky!)

It was natural that Luna would have to get used to everything, having been given a body just hours before, although she was adapting quite quickly to the whole experience. Her movements had felt stiff, constricting even due to the mass that she now held, but by now that was no longer the case. Now she hopped across the surface of the moon, creating faint dust clouds whenever she touched back down to her mother’s surface. While she would have loved nothing more than to test her new body out she was unfortunately in a hurry.

I’ve got to save mom! But how do I stop them? Maybe I could just ask them nicely! Yeah! If they know that they are hurting her then they will certainly stop! They couldn’t be that bad, right? Earth’s children always seemed very nice.

With a nod of approval she continued forth. Before long she’d reached the Earth children’s home, which she’d visited on numerous occasions. Leaping forward with the intention of entering through the wall, Luna immediately slammed right into the side of the massive metal structure! Slowly she fell back to the ground, landing on her posterior as her hands moved to rub her face.

“O-owie…”

Oh wait. I have a body now! I’ll have to find one of those openings! A door, right?

Hopping to her feet Luna took a brief moment to dust herself off, fluffy tail wiggling behind her, before she set out once more, this time in search of a door! While she failed to find one she did manage to discover a hole, which was strange because Earth’s children were always so concerned with them. Figuring that she’d bring it up to them when she found them, Luna hopped right on inside!

Everything was much darker than it usually was. Red lights blinked on and off, providing the only light in the area. Thankfully it was just enough for Luna to find her way to a door. After some brief searching she managed to locate the little square object that was used to open it. As soon as she pressed her finger to it the door opened up, followed immediately by a great burst of air, which sent her flying back across the darkened hallway, tumbling right into some stacked metal boxes, which were filled with something heavy. The door closed again on its own as the petite bunny sat up, wobbling somewhat while her dizziness settled down.

“Okay! Um! Let’s try that again!”

Again she approached the door, and again she pushed the button, only this time she kept herself out of the door’s way while it opened up. More air was ejected out, having been mostly refilled already by the massive base; however the force was a slight bit weaker. Gripping upon the door’s frame, Luna dragged herself inside, although it was quite a struggle. Just as she made it in the heavy doors slid shut behind her, causing her to jump slightly as they grazed against the very edge of her poofy tail and one of her unusually large ponytails!

“That was close!” she exclaimed, glancing back towards the door briefly. However she had no time to worry about such things, and so she turned and started to hurriedly move through the hallways, searching for the sources of the massive energy spikes she was feeling. It wasn’t two minutes before she got herself lost within the labyrinth maze of metal. She didn’t even know how to get back to the exit she’d used! But that wasn’t really a concern of hers at the moment, as she didn’t even know that she was lost.

Where are all of Earth’s children? Usually they are everywhere!

Through quiet lonely halls she wandered for what seemed like hours, searching for anybody else. Eventually she managed to find a much smaller, thinner hallway. It was as if it were made just for her! So, feeling confident that it might lead her somewhere important, Luna ventured on through. As she did she heard someone yelling in the room past the hallway, which gave her reason to pause for just a second.

What if they’re hurt?!

Worried she picked up the pace, sprinting through the tight corridor, until finally she exited into a massive room, which was filled with all sorts of interesting metal things! Of course she was more excited that she’d actually found someone, and so without hesitation she hurried over towards the source of where the yelling had been. Upon noticing the boy she froze.

The first person I’ve met! He’s going to be able to see me! Okay, you can do this! Oh wait, how do Earth’s children do greetings again? Um, I think…

“Hi! Hello! I’m Luna! Sorry for intruding in your home! It is nice to meet you! What’s up? Um, uh, thank you for seeing me!” she stated with a nervous smile, lowering her body forward in a bow while holding up a hand, waving it from side to side.

I’ll just do all of the greetings that I remembered! One of them has to be right!

THE GOLDEN SUN

HARU
スターの少年

The boy was distraught, his anger slowly fading away as he rubbed at his skull. The jolts of electricity that were sent flying through him had him dazed and confused, his surroundings blurring in and out as he tried his best to stand. Haru had made the mistake of thinking he could brute force his way through the large door before him. Of course, that spelled disaster for the golden child. Not only had he been dazed but the bright white shirt he wore now was stained with black scorch marks. "Tch. Like that's gonna stop me."

Yet again the boy jolted to life, his body flung forward as he attempted to reach the large door once more. This time, however, a sense of calm washed over the child. Before long, he came to a screeching halt. That odd feeling once again reached the boy, his body slowly turning 180 degrees, his crimson eyes watching the thin hallway that led him to this vast area. There was nothing visible in the distance, but the very same energy that he felt in himself pushed forward through the small crack in the wall. Haru began unknowingly stepping towards the hallway, his mind entirely taken over by the need to find the source.

Quickly, the energy found its way from the start of the hallway to the end, a small figure popping out of the tiny corridor. Once again halting in his tracks, the Golden Sun's eyes cast an odd gaze on what seemed to be a small girl. She wasn't very tall, but Haru wasn't very tall when it came to boys either. Bringing his hands upward, he feverishly rubbed at his crimson eyes before he blinked quietly. Oh. She's real. Haru didn't understand what she was, or who she was. He didn't know much when it came to this world, but there was something about her that seemed so...

"Gentle..." Speaking aloud, the Iramasha Boy quickly straigtened. The red flush of his cheeks growing bright as she began speaking aloud. Luna. She was called Luna from wherever she came. Haru didn't understand what was going on, he barely had the ability to understand where he came from in the first place. Where in the hell did this little girl come from that made her so.. so special? So... weird. Without hesitation, the boy's lips opened before gasping for a large breath of air.

"That's a pretty name." Right. I don't even know what I'm doing here, go ahead and speak your mind. Idiot. Raising his arms instantly as if to defend himself, Haru jumped back and sighed. The red of his pale cheeks only continued to grow as he looked to his side. "What... Who are you?"

Glancing in the girl's direction, he dropped his arms and flopped to the cold ground. First there was a large door keeping him held in, now the source that he felt so attuned to was some random girl? What was Haru even doing? He had barely been sentient for hours and he was already finding the universe to be a scary and weird place. Foreign, compared to the stars that filled Haru's mind.

Alright. Take a breather, idiot. You felt it for a reason, why act like this now? That's right. Nothing is going to make you back down. Stop being so stupid. Despite the constant berating, Haru's words filled him with determination. Jumping up in excitement, the pale iramasha bounded towards the tiny figure. Coming within inches of her position, he skidded to a stop before he flashed a cheeky smile towards her.

"Haru. I'm Haru. You're weird, and I don't really understand why. You know it's really weird that I felt you all the way from outside. Was that really you? Your energy is so weird. It's like mine. A lot like it, actually. I didn't think anyone else was like me. Kinda scary, ya'know?" His smile shined bright against his pale skin and gold hair, the bangle on his wrist shaking violently as he rubbed the back of his head. He found what he was looking for, but was it really what he expected?

Who knows.

Gentle? What's gentle?

Confused the little bunny glanced around, searching for what the boy might have been talking about. Ultimately she did not find the source, but then perhaps she'd simply interrupted a thought? That had to be it. By the time she'd redirected her gaze back to him however his face had turned a red color! It caused her to smile, as it looked kind of funny, and even her poofy tail wiggled with amusement.

Do people normally look like that? Can I look like that?! Why does he look like that?

At the mention of her name being pretty Luna couldn't help but to nod in agreement, her thoughts instantly switched to a new subject. "Mom has many beautiful names! But she let me keep this one because it is my favorite. She is so nice!" she exclaimed proudly, resting her hands firmly upon her hips as if she'd achieved some great accomplishment. Of course she was just being proud of her mother, who rightfully deserved every praise imaginable.

Oh. I thought I already said my name. I guess he just didn't hear me. My bad!

"I am Luna! I am a child of Mother Moon! She is my mom. Mommy. Mother? I think those are the same. I'm pretty certain they are. Why are your cheeks so red? Are you okay?"

Curious, the young Iramasha leaned up on her tippy-toes, eager to get a closer look, however as the boy flopped to the ground she jumped slightly in place, surprised by the unusual reaction! Maybe he was hurt, like she'd thought before! Could she even do anything to help fix him? Moments passed as she grew ever more curious and ever more concerned for the stranger. Then, suddenly, he leaped to his feet and closed the distance between them!

"Eep!"

Again she jumped, nearly falling back onto her butt due to her awkwardly unstable stance, however thankfully she managed to plant her feet enough to avoid such a catastrophe! The smile that the boy wore was quite infectious, and her own smile instantly appeared upon her face.

Haru. He sounds strong! Probably!

Her smile faded a slight bit as she was called weird, worried now that she might not be able to make a friend. After all, weird was bad, right? It had to be. Then again, she didn't completely know. Maybe there was a chance that it could be used to mean something was good! She'd need to investigate this further in the future, but for now she simply took it to mean that she was, in fact, good. Or rather, something was good about her.

Wait, he felt me? How did he feel me? We just met! Also wouldn't that be rude? It is rude, right? Or maybe it is just something Earth's children do normally. That could be it. Yeah! Wait, yes, I think I've seen it before! Maybe it happened and I just didn't realize it!

Without thinking she leaned in, wrapping her arms tightly around the boy's body, clinging with her face to his chest. This greeting was one she'd witnessed a few times between Earth's children during her ethereal phase. Obviously this is what he was talking about, right? Instantly she could understand why it was used. It was really warm, really comfortable, and it just felt really good!

I love this! What did they call it? I can't remember. Well, whatever it is, it is nice.

Of course the boy then spoke about energy, and about feeling her energy. Suddenly everything was so clear. He'd just felt her energy! Her essence!

Woops. Well, this is still nice. Maybe he won't mind!

With a big cheerful smile she glanced up towards the boy, causing her ears to flop back against her hat. "It was me? Um, wait..."

Now that he mentions it, yeah, he does feel familiar. Not like one of Earth's children. Though maybe that is because I have the new body? I don’t know. It would be nice though if we were like each other!

"So we are alike? That is cool! I mean, it is really good! Um..."

A faint pink tinge appeared over her cheeks, unknown to her as she tried to build up her courage. She was about to ask him to be her first. It was very important! If she failed now, then she didn't know what she'd do! But then came the sudden rush of confidence and with it her question!

"Do you want to be my friend?! I mean you don't have to if you don't want to. But I don't have any friends. And you seem really cool and nice and warm and I think maybe we can get along! That is what friends do right?"

Please say yes! Please say yes!

With growing anticipation she locked gazes with the boy, eyes actually sparkling somewhat while she waited for his answer. Not only was she holding her breath, but even her tail had stopped moving! If she were a Human then she might've passed out given time. Thankfully breathing was not an issue for her!

THE GOLDEN SUN

HARU
スターの少年

"Mother Moon...?" Right... That makes sense now I guess. No wonder I was feeling so weird around her... Haru chuckled to himself as he stood tall, his arms stretching above him. She sure was an odd little girl, but it wasn't as if Haru wasn't odd. Being born so recently, he barely knew what he was saying to the girl. Customs, reasoning, these things were the last thoughts filling the golden boy's mind. Before long, Haru's crimson eyes linger along the girls figure. She was interesting, just like him.

Her blonde hair was quite a bit lighter than his own, her clothing being.. far from what he thought was normal. Normal as in what he wore. Which... wasn't much, as it stood. The red tints continued to swarm along the girl's pale figure, his eyes becoming fixated as he made contact with her own. The Green was bright and inviting, but her left was far more interesting. The Orchid like color that radiated from her Iris left the boy speechless. It didn't help that swirling through the Universe for such a long time, never seeing anything but the beauty of stars.

"It's kinda like the stars I always saw. I didn't know there were prettier things around the universe..." Tapping his chin, Haru began to contemplate what the point of this meeting was. Of course, he was truly looking for this girl but... he didn't actually have anything he wanted from her. He was just... there. The energy that spiked all around them seemed to grow and dissipate at a whim, so focusing on it meant no real importance to the boy. He couldn't help being so confused though, it was hard not be anything but confused.

"Well, I sure am o-" Before any attempt at finishing his thought could come outward, Haru jumped in place. A jolt of electricity flew through him as Luna wrapped her arms tightly around his figure. The once red cheeks returned, burning with a greater fire than before. She was feeling all over him. His height didn't help the matter either, his face mere inches from her own as she buried her head into his chest. "U-Uh.." Instinctively, Haru attempted to wrap his left arm around her shoulders, his hand patting her head.

Maybe... Maybe this is how I'm supposed to act? I'm so confused right now.. I.. Ugh. Inner turmoil began to run rampant through Haru's mind, the red of his cheeks slowly beginning to return to the bright white of his skin tone. The warmth that he radiated slowly found its way to the cold he felt from her. It wasn't an intense chill, but a chill that felt comforting. It was weird to be so close to a person already. Terrifying, if Haru was being honest with himself.

Out of curiosity, the gold haired boy shifted his eyes towards the top of the girl's head, smiling without paying too much mind. As soon as his eyes caught wind of her glancing upward however, Haru froze like a cat in water. Her eyes fixated on him as she spoke, his very own cat like features flickering back and forth as she attempted to think. Why does she have to be attached to me? It feels so hot. As the nervousness continued to pool, Haru could only wait in anticipation.

"Good... Yeah. That must be a good thing that we're similar. That only makes sense..." Smiling, he gazed to his side as he continued to pat the girl. Turning back to her, the heat that he felt in his cheeks previously seemed to have found its way to her. She went on about asking him something but Haru couldn't really focus with the soft pinks that filled her pale cheeks. "Luna..."

Taking his right hand from her head, Haru squeezed Luna's cheeks without thinking much about it. "I'm warm? I don't know what a friend is either, but... I think you're the warm one." Haru showed genuine concern for the pink that filled Luna's cheeks, his gaze attached to her own as he continued to squeeze and squeeze.

"If we're friends does that mean I get to stay around you? I should probably help get the warmth out of you. Kinda worried I put it in you by accident, ya'know?" The innocent Iramasha smiled, continuing his journey of forcing the pink from Luna's cheeks.

What is it that he reminds me of? Something seems so familiar about him.

Indeed, something did feel very familiar. Was it just because his essence felt the same as her own? Or could it be something else? But then, what could it be? They didn’t have too much else in common. Sure, they were both super nice, and maybe weird, but then he was also much taller, and much warmer, and probably much more comfortable! Not that she could tell how comfortable she was. She’d have to make another one of herself, and then test that theory out! But that was impossible.

Wait! I got it! Cat! That’s what they were called! He is like a cat! And I am like a bunny rabbit! I wonder what cat story he likes.

When their eyes locked Luna found herself staring quietly, mouth left slightly agape with awe. His eyes were so red! Her least favorite color! It was almost scary, although she couldn’t place why. After all, he was super nice! Still, even though they were red they were also captivating. She couldn’t stop herself from gazing into them.

Maybe red isn’t such a bad color.

At the mention of pretty things within the universe Luna’s head tilted, ever so slightly, to the right. “What pretty things?” she asked aloud, not even noticing until it was too late, but then she didn’t really think about covering up the question. She was, after all, way too curious not to want to know! It also suggested that Haru had traveled everywhere, which made him only that much more interesting! He was perfect friend material! Regardless, so captivating were his eyes that she forgot entirely about the battle raging within the mighty labyrinthine base.

Latching onto Haru, Luna could feel him jumping somewhat, and for a moment she worried that she’d somehow injured him! Thankfully these thoughts were dispelled quickly, as Haru wrapped one arm around her body, granting more warmth to the child. One hand even started to pat against her head! It felt incredible.

What is this feeling?! It’s like I’ve done something right, and it feels warm, and nice, and it’s like a hug for my head! Everything is getting warmer!

The pink tinge upon her cheeks grew slightly stronger still. While her eyes remained open and staring up into Haru’s gaze they were also suddenly somewhat different. There was haziness about them, as if she were staring off into the depths of space itself. For the moment she simply could not bring herself to move as she enjoyed the head patting perhaps a bit too much. Thankfully her hat was mostly in the way. Who knew what sort of feelings a direct head patting may have incurred!

It wasn’t until her name was mentioned that Luna finally broke free from the entrancing patting against her head. “Huh?” At the same time the hand upon her head moved, now instead squishing against one of her cheeks! Wincing slightly Luna felt a rush of heat pouring into the region, further exacerbating her already slightly flustered state. Cheeks of pink were now tainted with signs of red. He was certainly right: she was now quite warm!

“I think friends stay together! I don’t know how to get warmth out though. Um, letting go of you would help. But I don’t want to” she stated, mumbling towards the end with eyes averted to her right. To further cement her desire not to release him Luna’s grip tightened slightly, although it wasn’t as if she was that strong, so escape would come easily should Haru desire it. “I think we should be friends! If you want. We can stay together! And we can be as close as we want! And, um, we can do whatever else it is that friends do together!”

Once more her bright smile appeared; eyes widened and sparkled, as she locked her gaze again with Haru’s. He would be her first friend! Today was a great first day for her! Though she’d need to speak with Earth’s children about friendship. They would surely know more than she did!

“Um. What should we do now though? I don’t mind this closeness.”

Why did I come here again?

Oh right! Mommy!

Suddenly her smile disappeared, face covered with worry and concern and even some hints of fear. The destruction! She had to stop it!

“I remember! We have to save Mother Moon! She is in trouble! They are hurting her!”

THE GOLDEN SUN

HARU
スターの少年

"Well see, stars are really pretty don't you think? I've only ever seen the stars and I thought they were the prettiest thing I've ever laid eyes on but it's kinda hard to contest with your eyes. They're just.. kinda sparkly and look really nice, ya'know?" The innocent child smiled, his fingers scratching his cheek in nervousness. As comfortable as it was to be so attached to someone that feel so close to the only thing you've ever known, it seemed to still instill a bit of worry in Haru. He didn't really get what was going on with Luna right now, but he felt nice. Really, really nice. Like as if it was something he'd want to do again and again.

Luna, you really shouldn't be staring at me so hard. I'm going to fall over from your eyes being burned into my skull. She doesn't even get that she's part of the reason I'm barely able to hold still at the moment. The flustered Haru couldn't help but fixate on all the tiny facial expressions the girl made as he continued his patting assault. It went from odd enjoyment to full grins, ranging from the soft pink that once filled her cheeks to what now seemed to be a rosy red. It only make Haru grow redder himself. He didn't give much thought to what they were doing, besides, neither of them knew anything about what they were doing in the first place.

"Uh, Luna." The confused boy continued to make eye contact with her as she went on and on about the friend situation they were soon to enter together. Being friends was something foreign to the both of them in reality, so being friends meant they'd have to figure out what it was friends did. Moving his hand from her cheek to her forehead, he hummed to himself as she continued to fill the silence with her soft voice. "Sorry, Luna. I didn't mean to make you so warm. I'm not really sure what's going on, but I like the idea of staying together."

The fiery cheeks of the Golden Boy puffed out as she continued to exclaim about their friend situation. Haru was as excited as she was, but he couldn't show it. Not the way she could at least. He was nervous about still being chest to chest with the girl, they were basically conjoined at this point! "Alright. I don't get it, to be honest. But if we're gonna be friends you're just gonna have to help me, ya'know? You're the first person I've ever laid eyes on anyways, so you're kinda special ya'know?"

The odd social tick continued to find its way towards the end of Haru's words as he to his right hand swung it around the girl's figure. Haru really, really liked Luna. A lot, actually. She's like the stars, but different. I don't know, I really don't want it to go away though. I'll only miss it if she's gone, so she can't leave. Pushing the bottom of his chin against her hat, the boy's cat ears twitched silently as he smiled.

"Huh... I did come here for some reason... I mean, I like this. But... this isn't what I was thinking of when I first came." Pulling back from the young girl, Haru's eyes scanned the room before his eyes came in contact with the large door that stood between him and the other sectors with large energy spikes. Of course! How could he forget that there were other people here trying to harm what he felt from Luna?

Luna only confirmed his worries as she exclaimed that others were in the process of attacking the moon. He had to help, not just for the Moon itself, but Luna. "A-Alright. I was trying to get through that... thing." Pointing behind him, Haru gestured towards the large door before half-releasing Luna so he could turn towards the large metal structure.

"I don't know what it is, but running into it... kinda hurts." The boy smiled awkwardly, the cheeks growing red as he pointed towards the scorch marks on his shirt. "You sure did distract me from running into it again, though." With those final words, the same cheeky smile emerged once more as Haru pressed his free hand against Luna's adjacent hand, brushing their fingers together.

"Don't go anywhere."

Moon - Yokko Kanno / Origa (Clicky!)

He thinks my eyes are pretty? Now I want to see them too!

If the hands which groped her face hadn’t already then that comment alone would have sent red throughout the entirety of her cheeks! Of course she didn’t know why this sort of thing happened. It just did. But perhaps Earth’s children would have the answers. They seemed really smart, after all! Maybe they would even know of a way for her to see her own eyes! Wouldn’t that be great?

“Oh, don’t worry! I like being warm. It is really nice. Really comfortable. You can make me as warm as you want to!” she declared with a playful grin, squeezing her body against his again. This sort of warm feeling was very new to her, and she just wanted even more of it. It just felt right, that’s all, but then perhaps all of this was just normal for two friends? Yet another thing to ask Earth’s children. At this point it might have been smart to start a list!

I’m special?

Still her flustered state remained, only now she grew even more excited! Bouncing on her toes Luna started to speak, rather quickly in fact. “I can help! I love to help! Helping friends is good! I think! I’ll do whatever you need me to do!” she exclaimed, nearly hopping with every sentence that escaped her lips. Of course she didn’t understand what he was talking about when he spoke of his reason for coming to this place, but that didn’t stop her from nodding in agreement. As Haru’s arm slid around her body and his chin rested upon her hat Luna halted her bouncing, as she did not wish to hurt him, nor did she wish for him to think that she wanted him to release her.

Upon speaking of her mission and her desire to save her mother Haru pointed out their first enemy! Thankfully it was only a door. She knew how to operate those! Well, many of them. Some of them wouldn’t open very easily. But then she’d just have to hope this was one of the types that did! Still, she was a bit sad to know that he’d hurt himself trying to fight against it. At least now he would learn how it worked!

As her hand was brushed against the petite bunny shifted her fingers, slipping her palm to match up with his fingers, before embracing them. While holding her hand she squeezed gently against it, turning briefly to smile up towards her new friend. “I won’t leave you. But trust me! I know how to get us past this”.

With confident strides she approached the side of the door, glancing around very carefully for a set of buttons. Her approach was cautious, so Haru could take it at his own pace, although she made certain to keep herself between it and her friend. Still, she led the way, gently pulling him behind herself, and when she reached the side of the great door she discovered many different square things to push! Unfortunately she couldn’t read at all, nor did she actually know what any of them might do.

Which one did they always use? Oh! Right! I should tell Haru! Maybe he will know!

“So these things here, if you find one of these closed openings, they are called doors. And these things on the side make them open! I don’t know which one is supposed to make this one open, so…”

In a flurry of movement her fingers poked upwards, pressing upon as many of the buttons that she could reach! Perhaps one of them might do the trick! No matter what happened though she was excited and curious to see what the result would be!

THE GOLDEN SUN

HARU
スターの少年

The feelings from before continued to stay forever gone, the frustration and angst that came with dealing with the Vanguard base. Meeting Luna was something that he had no idea would have happened outside of a miracle, his own happiness coming from the stars he inhabited in the near past. It was relaxing to feel so welcomed from something so... Warm. The girl sure brought out Haru's feelings without much effort, her genuine thoughts slowly flowing just as his did.

Haru smiled, his feelings being shown as his sleeve as he continued to interact with the tiny girl. He didn't understand this thing that gripped at him so easily, but the happiness that filled the once lonely boy only continued to grow as the two of them spoke one after the other. It took him quite some time before he gazed away from the giant door back to the girl, her dual colored irises staring back at his. The warmth that generated from the two wasn't like the Sun's warmth, it was different. Haru loved it all the same, his smile only continuing to beam.

"I'm glad you'll help, I don't really want any help from anyone else ya'know?" He turned towards the door once more, his cheeks burning hot as he attempted to figure out a solution. Alright. Running at it isn't a very smart idea I guess. I don't really know what it is anyway. Maybe if I just punch it really hard i- Mid thought, Haru's body froze in place. His hand that previously grazed the girl's fingers was now clung to, her own entwining with his. The stiff feeling that flung its way throughout Haru slowly began to fade as she spoke.

Reassuring the boy that she wouldn't be going anywhere, she slowly led the way toward's the large structure that continued to block his and her ways. Step after step, the duo made their way forward without much thought. Haru had enough experience with the door to not want to go near the thing for the rest of his time here, but with Luna dragging him quietly along, he felt keen on getting past it. Not just for his sake, but Luna's own. Someone had to help her here on the Moon's surface, why couldn't he be that person?

"Alright. I do trust you. Just don't do anything crazy." Haru nodded as they finally reached the doorway's side, a panel with many different little things filled his view as Luna seemed to be rather focused on it. A... Door? I wonder if that one before was also a door... the annoying one that wouldn't open. He seemed to be understanding the gist of what Luna exclaimed, his eyes turning towards the large metallic structure. "You should probably check them if we want to open this... door. Right?" As Haru finished his sentence, it seemed Luna was obviously one step ahead of him.

In an intense session of prods, Luna pressed button after button in attempting to open the large door. Haru's eyes drooped as he looked relatively confused, a majority of the buttons doing absolutely nothing. In genuine curiosity, he brought his free hand towards the door to see if it'd shock him again. Surprisingly enough, it didn't. A bright smile filled Haru's face as he grew excited. Finally, something was done about that pesky shocking feeling! Turning to the panel once more, he pressed a single button that Luna seemed to miss in her crusade of prods.

"Maybe this one...?" The orange button pressed inward as Haru fingered it, his crimson eyes turning towards the door as bright lights and loud beeps filled the huge room. Once again, confusion filled the boy's mind as the large door creaked and cracked. The metal began to close in on itself, dragging from both the left and right as it revealed another large room on the other-side. This room seemed like another sector meant for training using the large vehicles behind the duo, of course, neither actually knew that however.

Looking at Luna in excitement, Haru brought his other arm towards her waist as he picked her up. "Holy crap, that was so cool!!! I thought it was just going to hurt me again, you were awesome in helping! So awesome, so cool. Good job Luna." Beaming at the girl. Haru giggled before noticing he lifted the girl inches from the ground to level their eyes. Cheeks beginning to melt in embarrassment, Haru slowly placed the girl back on the ground before turning to his side, squeezing their entwined hands as he coughed.

"Sorry..."

Moon - Yokko Kanno / Origa (Clicky!)

Entrenched within her own excitement, Luna hadn’t even noticed the many nuanced changes escaping from Haru while they were together. The extra time he took to gaze upon her, the sudden fluctuations in warmth, even the occasional tenseness of his body that appeared from time to time. Even if she had then she would not have known exactly why they had occurred, or what they had met. In this case her ignorance was for the best, as was Haru’s, as it allowed them both to escape the awkwardness of their situation.

As Luna pressed nearly every button on the massive door’s control panel her eyes widened further with anticipation. Which one was the correct one? Would any of them be? Could she be messing it up even more?! It was all simply so exciting! Of course when nothing actually happened her excitement nearly evaporated, replaced instead by a slight bit of disappointment.

Nothing?! Awww! But! But I wanted something to happen! Anything! What are these even used for then? Maybe I did it wrong? Oh! I guess it could maybe not work for some reason? Or, or maybe only one of Earth’s children can do it! Or I guess it could be not a door.

While she pondered upon the failure of her strategy Luna didn’t even notice that she had, in fact, accidentally done something! However Haru did notice and he also noticed that she’d failed to press at least one button. As he reached to press upon it Luna glanced up, watching at first with confusion and then with sudden excitement as noises signaled movement within the massive door! Instantly her ears shot up, sticking up straight, tail wiggling with glee while she bounced on her toes.

Oooh. The one I missed! Of course!

“Oh! You did it! Great job! Its open! Its open!”

With a wide smile she turned towards Haru, only to be suddenly lifted into the air! For the briefest moment she froze and tensed up completely, not used to being picked up by, well, anyone! This was the first time actually. But, just like the strange patting upon her head earlier, she discovered that she quite enjoyed it! Giggling excitedly the young girl lifted her fists overhead in victory!

Good job me? Good job Haru!

“It was incredible! I couldn’t have done it without you though! You got it right on your first try!”

For a moment she lingered in the air, held up by her friend, beaming her own excited smile towards him. His face had once again gained the silly red tint, which caused her to giggle slightly. Slowly she was lowered, settled upon her feet once more before Haru gripped one of her hands, squeezing it. After Haru’s apology she squeezed his hand in return and hopped up, poking him once upon the nose.

“Boop! It’s okay! I liked it!” she stated reassuringly before turning. Without delay she started to venture forth out into the new massive room, leading Haru along towards who knew where!

I feel more of that energy this way. And I can hear a lot of stuff. So maybe this is the right way!

“Okay! So! Um, this way! Maybe? Probably! Unless you think we should go another way? I’m not very good at finding things. Except you! But that was an accident. A very, very, very lucky and very, very, very good one! But I don’t think I’d be able to get that lucky again.”

While they traveled forth Luna nearly skipped in excitement, only holding herself back so that she could continue to hold hands with her new best friend! Whatever they ran into she was certain they would be fine. After all, they were friends, and friends could do anything, especially when they were doing the right thing!

Don’t worry Mother Moon! I have a friend! We’ll find Earth’s children, and then we will stop this fighting, and then we will make even more friends, and more people will visit you! Everything will be fine!
