THE INVISIBLE CRACKS

Artist: Tokyo Ghoul - Song: Glassy Sky

Koyo's face was still wrapped in bandages letting a single eye through. If this were a costume party, he would look like a Mummy. Bandages around his arms up to his elbows, with some around his chest and legs. He was covered in them from a match with Elyss. He wanted to become better with his Zanpakuto, to learn from someone. Records were the Kuchiki clan's specialty, of the few people left. Magnolia Everfrost was one master.

He had mint-colored eyes, and the tips of his hair were also that color. A tradition among the Higurashi Clan, they practiced Kido using paints and inks that glowed with spiritual energy. Koyo felt his lips dry, his palms were sweating, and his heart racing. If his mother were to find out, he'd gone here. The consequences would be severe for him as he swallowed. He felt trembling through his body as he finally got the courage and knocked on her door.

The Vice-Captain of Squad One, Magnolia Everfrost. He wanted to find a teacher so he could grow and improve. Koyo didn't know what to do to get stronger. The feeling of when he lost to Elyss hurt. It was beyond physical just laying in the bed was torture. He couldn't protect anything or measure up for his friends. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but he failed Asashio and his father. His mother didn't tolerate failure, so it was a fear for her. But disappointed in himself for failing Asashio his Zanpakuto.

"Vice-Captain Everfrost, may I please come in?" He'd practiced saying it a thousand times. In front of a mirror, hoping to say the right things. Koyo wasn't socially gifted or sure how to convey feelings. These things eluded him and left him confused more often than not. He could only swallow and hope she was willing to hear him out. He'd been raised proper and prim by his mother, taught the rules and nature of nobility. But he would bow before Magnolia and beg not to have that feeling happen again.
