Follow the pineapple (Izumi)

"Definitely."

Andrew had a very cheerful expression on his face. It was clear on his expression that he had a pretty fun time when it came to preparing the fruits and vegetables. If anything, he had wanted to do more with the fish. But then again he remembered that freshness is always a factor, especially when dealing with raw fish. Ideally the fish should have no smell and above all else it should not be squishy. Ideally sushi can be prepared immediately since raw food won't be too hard to create. The only thing they would need to deal with would be the rice and any other vegetables that would need to worry about. But his cooking ideas were going to have to wait. Andrew followed behind Zero with a curious expression on his face. When he saw him take out his zanpaktou, he nodded his head as he took his zanpaktou out as well.

"Cook, Tetsu Itamae."

Steam came out of his zanpaktou, making the blade one color and the edge scalloped as he smiled. "Just as a heads up, my fire is not what you would call normal fire." But as he spoke it was clear he was trying to figure things out with Zero. At the very least he knew his element: water. He had been trying to figure out how to turn the water against him. If anything the logical thing to do is use Kidō like byakurai. But abilities like that always has a double edge to it. When applied the electricity can run both ways and either do what he intended or it would backfire and he would receive all of the electricity. Not to mention he had a random thought going through his head that he could probably slice through the copies he could make but never be able to completely defeat them. The end result: having to fight off against an entire army of tiny water soldiers and Andrew would be the giant.

Alright, let's do this then...

When he listened to Izumi's suggestion about using his mask, he took a deep breath and relaxed. As he breathed out slowly, his right hand was near his face while his palm seemed to smoke. He watched Izumi's zanpaktou, his flame like reiatsu coming out of his body and taking the form of lava that started to cover his head. As the lava cooled down, it was clear that his mask wasn't bone white but instead looked dull and gray. Lines began to form in his mask, showing nothing but a light color of red as he then came to life from the Kidō. Andrew had not been known to be the fastest of shinigami. But he was bigger so his stability was a little bit better, though not much since he knew Izumi's Kidō was much better than his. As he turned to face the water, he started to inhale deeply. At first it would have looked like Andrew had been charging up for a cero, but this was no cero. He tapped into the hollow's volcano like abilities and as the mouth of the mask opened, he released a roar from deep inside his body and what came out of his mouth was a stream of super heated air to serve two purposes: evaporate as much water as he could against Izumi, and to blow himself back onto his feet.

All the while this was happening, his zanpaktou began to accumulate a rust colored spice into the grooves his blade. As he seemed to be hovering a little to bring himself back up, he shifted the stream of air to turn him quickly and swing for Izumi. Though he was not close to him, it was not his intent to use his sword to cut Izumi. He wanted to release his spice attack to help keep him distracted by his own kind of flame and produce the heat necessary to keep Izumi off balance if only for a little bit. If there was one thing he did learn, seconds could mean the difference to whether or not he would return from the field in one piece. So if he could run the clock and keep Izumi's mind distracted by the heat of the spice, it could make the difference and give him the ground needed to show what he could do.

Uh oh...

Andrew what's wrong?

I think I just realized what he meant.

At first glance it would have been seen Andrew was panicking. When Izumi told him about it, he immediately went to the logical conclusion (at least in his mind): blood. He knows that he is two-thirds water and blood is just as viable a liquid as anything. But he knew now to be careful, especially around the copies of water. Water could take on any container and form, and anything that can change their limbs into weapons would be the most logical thing to do. But first things first... Andrew saw the Kidō shot at Andrew and immediately raised his hands. "Bakudou number 39, Enkosen!" He created the barrier, which immediately shattered from Izumi's shakkaho. Andrew was not truly surprised that his Kidō was much better than his own. That only meant that he needed to be a little more creative. His mind began to go through possible ideas, but above all else he needed to distract the copies to close the gap between himself and Izumi.

He wasn't concerned with the firey water copy since as a chef he was told to do one thing: never fear being burned. As he built up spice once again, he pointed his hand to the copy as he began to build up spice again. As he put some of the rust colored spice between his gum and cheek, he began to wonder things about this copy: how fast could he be able to reassemble his copy? Even though it could change, but what if Andrew forced him to focus on reconstruction instead of changing? Andrew knew he couldn't stop the copies, but he could give Izumi something else to focus on. The reiatsu seemed to be building up around his blade and more notably around his head. However, this was not like when he released the heated air. He first put his eyes on the copy, immediately casting another Kidō at the ground. "Hadō number 17, pulse blast!" He aimed the sphere at the ground at the feet of the copy as he made his move to Izumi. Andrew knew his opponent was not going to be solid, but not being solid had disadvantages. His plan was knock the copy off balance to reduce it into a puddle. As he made his move to Izumi, he took a deep breath and exhaled a stream of flame as he sparked his blade to change the basic edge into a heated one. He knew that there was always that chance the copy would come back, but he was going to be ready to fight the heated copy with his own fire without fear even if he got burnt.

At first it didn't seem that Andrew was paying attention, but his mind had continued to keep going. His eyes were focused on the whip of lava and already he started to think of the worst possible scenario. It was something he needed to factor in, especially when he had been by himself. And right now he had to focus primarily on the lava that was going straight down for him. Though he knew that his mask could take a lot of punishment, he personally did not want to test out the limitations of lava whip versus the granite like mask that he wore. He took his zanpaktou out but instead of blocking the lava Andrew slammed his weapon into the ground to serve as an emergency brake to have him stop dead and hoped for the best that he wouldn't get burned. He as started to skid, he got ready to perform enkosen, but watched in surprise that the lava had immediately started to change back into harmless water again.

Andrew sighed in relief, the red energy emitting from his mask slowly starting to die down as he then thought about what Izumi said. If anything Andrew was practical. Something told him that if he had continued this fight there was going to be a good chance that he was going to have to eat whatever he helped create for Izumi into a flavorless paste that needed to be consumed through a straw. He exhaled softly he then placed his hand over his mask, the red energy dying down and his mask vanished. As soon as Andrew went into battle mode. he had a big smile on his face as he spoke. "Let's go to the feast," he said happily.
