Sayuri smiled, staring up at the clear blue sky, her hands folded behind her head as she rested on one of the branches in one of the myriad of trees sprouting here and there around the Seireitei proper.
She'd been assigned - after she'd finally resigned her tenure as a teacher's aide within the Academy - to Division 13. At the moment, she hadn't had anything serious that seemed to need her attention, so she'd gone for a walk, and had found a place to relax where she could still be aware of the goings on. Glancing to her right, she could clearly see Division 13's barracks, and would know if something came up, and would be able to get back rather quickly.
Letting out a contented sigh, she shook her head. "Yeah, it's quiet," she muttered, one hand coming free and lifting above, shading her eyes from the sun. "But... it can't last. Not with everything going on in the world. Between the demons and the Hollows, and everything else, this peace can't last. I just hope we have enough time to enjoy this while it does last."
Shaking her head again, she laughed, rolling off the branch and landing lightly on her feet some twenty feet below. "Ah, look at me. I've been still too long. I'm getting morbid again!"

Steven was wondering through the seireitei on what was a pretty relaxing day. The sun was out and shining and there wasn't a lot going on today. He hadn't received any assignments that day so he took the opportunity to stroll around for a bit. Even when he had some down time he usually spent it doing something. Training for future missions or thinking about past fights and figuring out what went wrong or what he did right. He was always trying to figure out some kind of perceived problem. Sometimes he would simply sit around and stare off into the distance thinking about stuff and sometimes when he was walking he was so deep in thought that he didn't pay much attention to the things going on around him.
Some people have thought that he was absent minded or lazy because of these thing but neither was true in the least. He was about as far from absent minded as somebody could get. He didn't zone out because he wasn't thinking about anything but because he was actually thinking to much. And while sometimes he may look to be doing nothing he was usually doing something even if it was just thinking through his latest problem.
Today was one of those days were he was walking around thinking about some of his old fights. He knew that some of them had gone bad but others were pretty good. He was analyzing them in his head figuring out what things helped to do well so he could focus on improving those aspects of his fighting. At the same time he was figuring out his own weak areas so he could be sure to cover them next time. It was a lot to think about and certainly not as easy as it sounded. He was so lost in thought that he wasn't really paying attention to where he was going. He didn't even realize when he was getting close to the squad 13 barracks pretty far from where he started at the squad 7 barracks where he was stationed.

Cringe. Damned heat. His eyes popped wide open when the heat was rising steadily within the barracks of the 8th Squad, and it was unpleasant. While the damage from the assumed Demonic Incursion was still there, he was never present during the events of that shitstorm but hell, the heat was the one that woke him up wihout any hesitations at all. Gotei 13, a home to all shinigamis, and a place for him to make sure that his abilities are somewhat the level where he can use it much more properly tuned to his own liking. Though, this isn't the issue here, that the only thing that's scratching the wells of this was whether if sanity ever exists in this part of the world, because to him, this world was twisted and corrupted, that kindness was just a disguise of that darkness that lurks in Soul Society, very much when there was a kid, a boy, reborn within the streets of the Rukongai before bringing him into a lab, splitting his skull into two and literally shoved a prototype cyberbrain, something that advances over the majority of existent-cyberbrains since it was modified to fit both his mind's wavelength and his soul altogether.
His appearance was pretty much differs out of most shinigamis that resides within the Gotei 13 and the depths of Seireitei. Instead of wearing robes, he had an oblivious characteristics, a thick white hair brushed within his own style, seemingly messy on its own, though he refers it as a 'style' that he designed on his own in order to create something uniquely for himself wihout copying anyone else around him. A pair of violet-colored eyes, with only one eye on the left was glowing constantly, leaving a smoke-like effect or fire-like effect that leaves traces of a violet light, whether he is idling or even moving, it would always leave a long trace of a violet light from his eye, before it dissapears. There was never any definite reasoning for it, but most likely under the influence of his cyberbrain that created such effects. It took a few minutes to take a breath before covering his head with a hoodie under such a heat, dropping a sweat before walking out of the barracks.
When the sun made its presentation to his so-called 'life', it would surely make him dry to death by such a weather. Shadowed his face with the hoodie that stands with a pair of cat ears, only his glowing left eye and his mouth can be seen even close-up, making his appearance rather shady when met. No Zanpakutō to be seen anywhere to his entire stature, not even a hint or the existence of it, which wihout the presence of the Zanpakutō, he can be mistaken as a human at times because of his appearance, since his style of dressing is much more 'human-like' in his own terms, though that leaves it to that. Wearing a white hoodie jacket with two pockets which he could coveniently slide his hands into, inside of that unbuttoned jacket is a black t-shirt, with a rather unique design that potrays the 'designs' of these clothes, purple-colored symbols that resembles a power button, broken crescent with a slit in the center. The reason of this symbol being made is unknown, but there is a possibility that it may have a connection or two with his past and against his foster parents, but this is a type of a trademark to take note of him when met, since these symbols are uniquely designed on his clothes, the areas it was placed in is easy to spot from a distance. Otherwise, a pair of white-colored pants matches the traits of his jacket as well, supported by a belt across his waist.
What really stands out amongst them all was his pair of white gloves, and the six floating mechanized weapons behind his back, wherever he goes, it follows like a knight following its king. Since he was never great at physical combat, he can be depicted as a 'monster' when it comes to ranged combat, as long as there's a distance between himself and his enemies, making a point-blank shot to wipe his enemies out is possible as well. They are made with a simple design but complex mechanics, not to get too deep with the details, they are simply weapons that supports his combat abilities in ranged fights, since his electromagnetism abilities is still within the range of a basic level and cannot stretch too far from his area of manipulation, it makes his tasks difficult in combat, thus these Nasods are the 'supporters' of this lack of ability in ranged combat.
Standing ontop of the Nasods, two of them under his feet, before hovering him over the sky and propelling him under high speed across the areas of Seireitei, in search of anyone or anything he could spend his time freely as he wants to in order to make up for the lack of sleep he got from the heat. He was silent, looking quietly to the sky with his mind running with thoughts to keep himself occupied wihout hovering over the sky at high speeds while having empty thoughts. Gritting his teeth, he was absolutely bored in such a situation, very much like a torturing situation, but what can he do about it? It was always like this either way, always keeping himself out of the social circle and break that formation in silence. That was how life works, that if you don't communicate, you're officially out of that circle, but a perfect situation to those who are not the type who prefers to get socialized with other people. Fear, regret, all of those negative emotions are just an obstacle, that inducing them to those are afraid of these factors are more likely to be a weapon than an enemy when someone figures out the true meaning behind these 'obstacles'. It was a lesson to be taught in his childhood, to get read of these emotions and instill them against someone else, anyone who are prone to these negativity, as a weapon, as a way to not kill someone.
Floating rather far from the barracks, he stood above his Nasods with his hands in his pockets, taking a breeze from the wind with his eyes, staring off to the barracks, from the 1st to the 13th where they are visible in his field of vision, empty and emotionless eyes, his teeth gritting with an unpleasant look on his face, his mind was thinking of something else, a challenge, something that he needs to drive his abilities further, more powerful, to expand his mind and know more of his abilities. Keeping in silence, it seems that.. the story would still be the same for him, but even a little change to his 'story', would always be the greatest thing possible to affect his reality around him and the perception that he gives to the world.
