She lunged, but not quite fast enough, as the Hollow caught her trailing foot and whirled her around, slamming her into the side of the building she'd leaped from to try and get the drop on it. Somehow - she probably hadn't hidden her pressure well enough - it had known she was there just before she'd attacked.

And so now here she was, getting her ass kicked by a Hollow. Pushing herself clear of the debris, she staggered, wincing as pain pistoned up her leg like a million volts shot into her foot. Her gaze darted down, and she swore at the blood already further darkening the ragged edge of her hakama. She cast about, spotting the Hollow, clutching the rest of the fabric in its hand with that rictus grin mocking her.

Her eyes blinked open, and she sat bolt upright, nearly toppling off the tree branch where she'd settled to relax after the last run. Even though the Kido Corp had seen to her lower leg after the Hollow had nearly snapped it clean off, it still throbbed painfully. It was less severe today, but it was still there, a niggling sensation that distracted her even from her sparring. After she'd resettled herself on the branch and ensured she wasn't going to fall, she rubbed at her face, letting out a long groan.

"This makes no sense," she said quietly, pulling up the hem of her hakama and staring at the spot where her skin had been laid open by the Hollow. Long since healed, she would swear she was imagining it, but it looked like there was a red mark on her skin the exact shape and size of the wound she'd endured. But Kido could heal anything... couldn't it? Well, aside from dead.
