I. Basic Information

» Name: Hans Reimann
» Titles: Bishop of the Lion
» Age: 678
» Gender/Sex: Male
» Kingdom: West
» Affiliation/Rank: Priest

» Appearance Description: Hans, even in the rare occasion he is out of his priestly garb, simply looks to be a priest. His closed eyes smile wider than his mouth. When he opens them, they pierce. It's not like a blade, but the morning sun finally breaking over distant mountains. It is the light of a new dawn, far from anything particularly deadly. So even with them open, there is nothing about him that beguiles the observer. No malicious intent falls around Hans. It almost seems to even bounce off of him, giving him a purity unlike most others—the Sugiura of Purity, of course, would have him beat in that sense.

To be truthful, Hans does put most people off by the way he looks. A priest, clad in black, is an omen for death usually. Not with Hans. With his timid, short steps that seem to be him making sure he does not trip on his own pants, it's hard to associate the end of a life with him. Instead, he gives the appearance of a priest who performs baptisms and other tame, but important, events. Nothing big comes his way. One would be welcome into his chapel, but there is always a foreboding feeling when entering. A horror movie is about to start, and the priest has no idea what is going on. "Everything will be fine if we Pray," he would say. His hands stay steepled together, like he wants to ask for a donation—but of course, such a thing isn't proper.

II. Personality Traits

» Personality:
  • Quiet: Hans is a rather quiet individual. It's not like he doesn't speak much however. He's quiet in the sense that rarely does a conversation go on beyond what is most necessary. At no point is there an awkward silence nor is there a pregnant silence as someone waits for him to finish. Hans speaks clearly and concisely when he does speak. There may be the occasional "hmm" as he thinks on his wording, but never does he stutter mid-sentence, backpedaling as fast as he was once speaking.

  • Calm Reactionary: Hans does react to most things around him. He may even let out a startled yelp when something pops out of a bush. Yet, it is never overwhelming. His reactions never border on lingering. They happen and are over with as soon as possible. When he cries, it is never long enough for someone to pat him on the back, consoling him with "there, there"-s. Hans will show the emotion long enough for people to recognize it, but no further.

  • Open-Minded: One of the strangest parts of Hans's personality is that he has an extremely open mind compared to most Sugiura. Why bother with other races? Well, we could learn from them, and they from us. Aren't they inferior to a Sugiura? Is the smith inferior to the farmer at harvesting? They are perhaps only inferior when applied to what we can do. He does not outright defend other races, but he does give other Sugiura something to think about. However, other races have proven themselves to be more inept than Sugiura in many aspects, and he does point that out. Facts are facts after all.

  • Mediator: Hans dislikes violence in all forms. This is to the point that he is a vegan and refuses to eat meat. He does not make it his life goal to stop and prevent it, but he does preach about how the blood of one man is truly the blood of two. The one who is killed will shed blood, but revenge will take the blood of the killer. When he can, Hans does offer himself to be a messenger and mediator between two feuding individuals or factions. His priestly demeanor gives people the ability to trust he is neutral.

III. Abilities & Equipment

» Natural Abilities
Small Aura: It is hard to tell that Hans is really there. It's not like he's masking his energy signature. Anyone who is good at detecting, and especially those that can detect energy in other ways than a simple "pressure" (e.g. seeing, smelling, tasting, etc.), can see that Hans does have more energy than he lets on. It is just spread over a much wider area to make it diluted. In the areas where the concentration is higher, it is possible to see an odd, golden spark floating around before fading out. But even without his aura, Hans keeps to himself so well that it is hard to make him out from even an empty room. He is sometimes the embodiment of "heard, but not seen."
» Equipment Hans keeps a book written in almost illegible writing inside one of the many pockets of his robes. This book is what he uses to preach from. If one were to try to decypher it, it would end up being mostly gibberish and not from any known religion. He also carries numerous other small nicknacks throughout his robe. These are mundane things, such as needle and thread, matches, a flask of water, packets of various common spices (sugar, salt, pepper, etc.), a small screwdriver with multiple heads tucked within its handle, etc. He can effectively pull out anything small that would be useful in a normal, everyday situation out from his robe.

Johan von Volkhardt [APPROVED 1-4] MtmEJZy

Johan von Volkhardt [APPROVED 1-4] YZMO4Ec

I. Basic Information

» Name: Johan von Volkhardt
» Titles: Goldenes Tier/Jīn shòu(金獸)/Zolotoye zver' (Золотое зверь)/Golden Beast
» Age: 678
» Gender/Sex: Male
» Origin: Glory
» Kingdom: West
» Affiliation/Rank: King of the West

» True Appearance Description: Much like his outer shell, Johan puts people off. However, it is almost the opposite effect. Whereas people distance themselves from Hans because he seems odd and weird, Johan is more brilliant than most. It is like averting one's eyes from a flame because it burns too bright. His eyes, open more often than most would think possible, are that of the final noon's sun--when the star begins engulf the world in the apocalypse. They pierce through what they gaze upon whilst seeing all. Benevolence and malevolence dance around his very essence like a chaotic tango. Malicious intent swirls around him while he remains engulfed in goodwill. And yet, he still has the same purity his shell had. He does not wish to lie or cheat.

Johan is much the embodiment of a true regent. Whether this is a king, emperor, or even a god, it does not matter. He walks with short, measured strides. The world waits upon him, not the other way around. More than that, Johan has a commanding presence. His uniform, pressed and worn constantly, is a reminder that he is more than a simple regent. Fancy robes and cloaks do not suit him as they would a king. Yet, he decorates himself with a stole that is worth more than some castles--woven in golden fiber with darker, burnt ivory inlays of runes and other arcane symbols. It acts as his crown, showing those who care that he has the wealth to wear such a fine thing around--such wealth only belonging to a regent, not a simple noble.

II. Personality Traits

» Personality:
Johan is one who aims for beyond the stars. A star is a simple point, reachable with some effort. But what lies beyond those stars? He strives for those heights, where one can only imagine what it is like there. Johan wishes this not just for himself, but for any Sugiura. Any who carry the blood of the Sugiura are worthy of ascending even past him. So long as he makes a mark on history so deep that his name becomes somewhat holy, he does not care if someone outdoes him. In fact, that is one of the things he musess on more often than not. It would be a challenge for him to become even more glorious than the one who outdid him. Such a rush is beyond exhilirating for him.

Johan believes in an absolute control. Without that kind of control, it's hard to say that the Sugiura will survive. The West went into chaos because the Leonhardts all but disappeared. No one took the throne—no one held the power. Thus, he had to take it. Johan will not tolerate the Sugiura being weak. He'll show them the power that Sugiura are meant to hold—and how to use it to keep their control as the top of food chain. Johan likes to be a little flashy. His entrances are grand, and he never appears unannounced. Going through the shadows is disgusting. Johan doesn't care if others skulk about. That might be their origin. The Sugiura of Skulking is probably not someone he would get along with however. He has to show up in a fanfare of sparks and (potentially destruction).

Johan thinks very highly of himself. This isn't because he's just better than most. He knows of many that could out-fight, out-politick, out-lead, etc. him. But he doesn't see any of them doing anything. He's better because he acts for the "betterment" of the Sugiura. Power comes with responsibility, so those who use it must follow through with their responsibility. But his ego also comes from something else—pride of being a Sugiura. To him, the Sugiura were the pinnacle of pinnacles. They're not now, but what they were in the past (from what he has read) was something far greater than he could have imagined. He wants to bring them back to that state so everyone can have that same pride he feels for his own race.

Johan is perhaps one of the most outspoken members of society when he speaks of culture, espcially that of the Sugiura themselves. The Sugiura have, effectively, stagnated when it comes to the arts and other expressions of creativity. Architecture is uniform. Paintings are stale and without innovation. Music has no life to it. It is all drab and over-performed. That is one of the many things he blames the downfall of the Sugiura on, and one of the few things he can praise the other races on. Humans especially have caught his eye when it comes to arts. Their temporal nature makes them exceptionally clever and daring.

Family means everything to Johan. Of course, his family is the entire Western Kingdom (if not more). He does not care about the bonds of blood and genetics (so long as you're a Sugiura, of course). Who your parents were does not dictate family. It is who you choose that becomes family. So, Johan has decided to effectively adopt the entire West, or at least those who will follow his rule. This is only a symbolic gesture, as there is no way in any of the hells that Johan could legally adopt even a fraction of the population. Despite that it may come off as cult-esque, he truly does not mean it to be like that. Johan wants to treat these people like family, protecting them and guiding them to the great heights they deserve.

III. Background

In the beginning, there was screaming. Lots and lots of it. Not from panic, fires, or other horrible things. No, Hans Reimann was born surrounded by the screams of drunken happiness—and the occasional scream of seeing a bloody newborn. Hans was born in what could best be described as a tavern. It had a couple of rooms for rent, but most of its income came from supporting the local population's laborers. Otto and Gretchen Reimann were a pair of lovable proprietors who seemed to be a picture-perfect marriage. They didn't fight, yell, or have a feud with anyone about something inane. The closest they came was a day-long argument about whether a fence was on their property or their neighbors. It was determined that it was placed so close to the line that neither had a claim to it and it was soon forgotten.

Behind closed doors, however, they were the among worst types of parent to little Hans. They weren't abusive or neglectful. They were just ignorant. Hans was the only child they had and would have. They, quite frankly, had no idea what to do with a small bundle of life, crap, and love. It was a common occurance to see either of them smile and briskly run to a back room they forgot the little one in. This did not change even as he grew older. And yet, he never was a problem child. He was distant to his parents, but only in the manner of them being his parents. As people, he was as friendly to them as he was to any of the other patrons of their tavern.

There wasn't much for Hans back in their small town. He didn't seem to care at first. He was happy being the talk of the town as one of the most polite children around. He would volunteer to assist the elderly and crippled. He'd help with community projects too. As there was no proper school in their town, he was taught at home how to read, write, and do simple mathematics. He was his parents' pride and joy. He was the town's poster boy—handsome, kind, and always with a smile on his face. No matter how much praise he recieved, however, it never felt like it was enough.

The only reason Hans had done any of that was for the praise and recognition. He'd do whatever he could for it. He outpaced himself and the rest of the village on how much he could do. As the village ran out of things for him to earn recognition from, Hans grew bored of it. It quickly became another dainty village in the middle of nowhere. It was his kingdom, but why would he want to be king of something he was not proud of—and of something he had no control over? Hans's attitude change sparked controversy in the village. Why did their poster boy no longer wish to help? What good was someone like him? Hans, too, began asking himself those questions. Only when he heard a passing story about some gallant war hero that a spark flew into his eyes. Hans smiled as he left the tavern. He didn't give a single farewell. He just vanished from their lives—joining up with the Western Knights instead.

Hans was not some prodigy with the sword, magic, or anything of that nature. He wasn't particularly orderly either. He didn't have the mind for tactics on a battlefield. Hans was, however, a paragon of logistics and strategy. Hans knew that no successful engagement, no matter how brief, had no chances of success if the supply chain was disrupted. That was basic knowledge. What made him stand apart was his willingness to divert more troops from a main force to ensure his supply lines would be intact. It was a bold, defensive strategy. Because of his excellence in logistics, Hans was awarded the luxurious job of quartermaster at a fort. Again, in the middle of nowhere.

Hans did not have a particularly happy time there. He was good at his job, but there was still more he could do. Year after yer, the fort was showered with commendations about its quartermaster. There were no skimmed purses, no books with odd numbers, and everything was accounted for that could be accounted for. It was scary how tight of a ship he ran, but it was the only way to recieve praise. No conflicts arose. No one tried to really harm one another. More importantly, none of the kingdoms really tried to war with one another during his brief time as a quartermaster. After about ten years of drudgery, Hans left without a word. He needed something else. He needed something more grand—something more glorious.

As he left, Hans noticed something in the distance. It was the first signs of a riot in the distant city of Seinburn—clouds of black smoke. Hans neared the city to see what started the blazes. It was simple to tell. The city had no law against indentured servitude. Groups of these "servants" who were nothing more than slaves with a different name had finally rebelled against their masters. Hans sat on a wall, thinking. Should I intervene? After an hour of rioting, he decided he should. After another, he decided on which side he should intervene on.

Hans made a young, foolish decision to join on the side of the rebelling slaves. He thought that if he were seen as a knight who helped the oppressed, it would send him to great heights. He thought that would bring him the glory he so desired. It, in fact, did not. The nearby fort mobilized. Within two hours of arriving, the rebellion was quashed. All of the surviving members of it, Johan included, were tried. Hans was the only one to recieve a fair trial thanks to a military tribunal. Instead of death, Hans was sentenced to something less permenant but just as damaging. Two-hundred years of "Reculturization." This was a fancy way of saying they would banish him to one of the other worlds, where he was to observe the lesser races and see that the Sugiura were better than this. This particular punishment was deemed cruel and unusual only a decade after he was sent away.

Hans was sent to the World of the Living in the year 1760. Hans did not actively participate in anything—it was forbidden to act while being Reculturized. One could only observe. So, Hans watched. He watched as the British Empire grew to its swelling point. Hans was impressed by the magnificentness they had. And then, the American colonies revolted. They cited oppressive taxes and a desire for true freedom from an overseas empire. Hans looked back at his actions and realized that although he did not win, it was the right choice to side with those indentured servants.

Hans watched as the world burned. It wasn't just the aforementioned American revolution that he saw. No, he saw more than just that. He was forbidden from staying in one 1000-mile area for more than a year. Johan watched as Kabardia and Crimea became part of the Russian Empire. He fled Moscow as it rioted due to an outbreak of disease. He smelled the fires and blood from the French Revolution. And all he saw was that humans tried to do so much. They tried to change so much in such short amounts of time that it was no surprise that they were a bloody race.

Hans saw many people go about being famous. He saw stars rise and fall—from kings and queens to philosophers and revolutionaries. The only people that remained truly famous were the artists. Humans were, frankly, inconsequential. They may do a lot in a short timeframe, but they were still temporary. Grduges and hatreds would die within only a couple of generations. It was quite funny how feuds would start and continue only because their fathers had feuded, as had their fathers' father, etc. But the things humans created seemed eternal. Not the cities, as he had seen too many burn. No, the art they made. From statues to paintings to stained glass—it was magnificent how they withstood time. And the subjects and styles changed just as much as human culture overall did. It was an everlasting but changing record of history. Hans knew at that moment what he would bring back to the Sugiura. He would bring back art.

Or so he wanted.

Hans saw the power of the one controlling the people. He saw the rise of the people who could rally with only words and gain the support of their country. He saw why they failed too. He saw them stand at podiums, spouting nonsense and truly doing nothing to achieve their goals. It was passed on to someone else. They didn't have the true sayso in the matter. Advisors told them what should be said and what should not. Hans finally realized what must be done near the end of his Reculturization. He needed to be in a position of power. What he would bring back would not be art. No, it would be revolution.

Hans returned and underwent the final stages of the punishment, which was only reacclimization to normal life. After that was completed, Hans knew what must be done. He bgean to read and study on his race's past. He learned much of what they were after spending two hundred years perfecting his mind and body. He studied the ways the originators moved around and spoke. He became a paragon of what a Sugiura should be—proud of his race and willing to prove it. Hans emerged from his 200-year hermitage as Johan von Volkhardt. Johan was proud of what he had become. He was not perfect, no. He was going to get there though. That was his dream.

Johan heard complaints abou tthe current rulers of the West many a time during his trek back into society. It was amazing how reliant they were on the Leonhardt family's support. If the family were to disappear, the whole kingdom would go into chaos. He had no idea that would be a prediction that came true. Johan did not spend much time praising himself. He had no desire for that. No, he attained prestige by lauding over the old ones. He didn't care this was not about himself. This was, to Johan, about the race as a whole. They needed to return to the prosperity of the old ways. They needed that glory again.

Johan never gave out his name during his sermons. He'd just be known as "that blond guy." His description evoked images of a lion, and so he became known as "the Lion Priest." Johan didn't understand why this praise meant so much more than before. He had recieved nearly equal praise in his village. The recognition was national, but it wasn't any different from one village to another. Johan thought long and hard about it. He took two years off from touring just to try to figure it out.

Johan, frustrated with not figuring out this answer, began readign again. Maybe one of the old ones would have a way of telling him through their story. In fact, they did. It was nearing the end of his second year off that he re-read a tale of someone who ended up attaining high praise for saving someplace. It clicked as Johan analyzed the story. The reason the praise and recognition felt so good to that hero was that it was for a cause greater than himself. It was for something larger, not a singular person. Johan, at that moment, understood what he was meant to do from the start. He understood that he was to bring the Sugiura pure glory. Not for himself, but for the entire race.

Johan awakened his Origin at that moment. Perhaps because he had no idea what it was he was meant to be doing, but Johan had never materialized a Sacred. But in the dark room which he was holed up in, Johan's Sacred came into being. It took the form of a blade of golden steel—more of a decorative piece than anything. Johan tried to utilize it as a weapon, but it was not in its ideal form apparently. He would have to find that ideal form, but more than that he would have to find out what he could do with his new power.

Johan did not return to the public eye for nearly 200 more years. There was no reason for him to return. He had not amassed the power he needed to bring the Sugiura to their full potential. This power was both a physical power and a political one. The former was the hardest to gain. Johan would have to truly buckle down and learn how to use such power if he were to wield it to any noticable effect. There was much to do, and he had as much time as he needed to do it all.

Johan almost innately knew how to use his powers. He wasn't good at it, but he knew how it worked. That was something at least. Johan did more than train his abilities while hidden away—he further trained his mind. He read books on speeches, politics, gambling, and law. If he were not going to be someone of high political power, he would make a great lawyer/casino owner/motivational speaker. But power is what he wanted and he would have it. He just knew he'd have to wait. That, as it turned out, became incorrect. Johan emerged from his prolonged hiatus from the public eye just in time for the Leonhardt family to abruptly disappear. He awoke from his slumber to see that the world had not changed much outside of the rioting. The West was fractured and collapsing upon itself. He knew this was going to be his only chance. So just like before, he took a risk. This time it paid off.

Johan began to approach rioters, claiming he had a solution—himself. This was met with pitchforks and fire every single time. Johan sat back and thought for a moment. Donning his old name and a dead priest's robes, Johan became Hans Reimann once more. He did not bolster the story of Hans Reimann, but that of Johan von Volkhardt. He did not claim to be the man, but someone who had heard of his exploits. He was someone who had met this mysterious hero. Hans did not spread a single lie about Johan—everything was the truth. It was knowledge most would not care about searching out, let alone know if it were true or not.

In time, Hans had spread the story of Johan to many different cities. There were people cheering for him. Johan became the most popular name for boys during that year even. As the rumors and craze made its way from the outer fringes to the capital city, Johan appeared in person. Many people didn't recognize him at first, but as the stories spread, it was obvious that this man was the one the people wanted. It was rather simple for Johan to take the Western throne. It was a simple threat to the regent (an advisor to the advisor of the previous King): "Give me the throne or our people will make me a throne out of your bones." There was a longer speech, but that was the ultimatum he gave.

Johan has not been King of the West for long. He has been focused on rebuilding what was destroyed and damaged during the "troubles" as it is most commonly referred to now. He restructured the hierarchy to make it more appropriate. In fact, Johan has been a rather good leader. Except for one thing. Johan has brought art from the World of the Living back with expeditions he has sent out there. His most prized piece of art is the statue of Atlas, originally from the Rockefeller Center in New York City. The art he has brought back has started a bit of a rennaisance of Sugiuran artists trying to one-up their human counterparts. This has started the term "deculture," which refers to anything not of Sugiuran make.

IV. Abilities & Equipment

» Natural Abilities
Voice of One: Johan's voice is rather demanding. It is not one that orders one to listen to its commands. That type of ability is useless to him. No, his voice is Understood. It has a special, almost magical quality to it. It's capable of penetrating the very heart of all those who hear it. The best comparison is to the cries of dragons from the age of legends. It is a juggernaut of a voice that is incapable of failing to ensnare its audience. While Johan speaks in one language, his voice will carry over to others. When someone hears his voice, they Understand what he is saying. It is not translating the words for them. Words can lack a translation. No, it is the meaning behind what he is saying that is truly Understood. The barrier of languages means nothing to him. Of course, with a high enough willpower, this can be overridden. However, it is not something that harms in any way—it only helps to break down the most common barrier between peoples now.

Overwhelming Presence: If Hans was a thin morning mist, then Johan is the bright bolt of lightning ripping from the heavens. This makes him hard to ignore, but potentially easy to miss when searching for him. What was once scattered in the air around him is now congealed around and inside him.

Hans: Hans must be something that is on the reader's mind by now. Hans is not at all a separate character. He is closer to being a vessel for Johan to mill about the masses with. Hans is a construction of Johan's energy around himself, creating a shell that does nothing but spread out his aura. When Johan wishes to emerge and be away from Hans, it takes one post to do so. When this happens, Hans will crack and break away like an eggshell as the beast inside takes center stage. Hans can not be re-applied during combat. The process usually takes about five minutes.

» Sacred Weapon: Johan's Sacred takes the form of a spear that is just as brilliant as himself. However, truth be told, it is hard to really classify it as a spear. It is more like someone took a broadsword and stuck a long handle on it. This is because that is what happened. The actual blade itself is the Sacred with the rest being more ornamental than anything. It serves as his scepter moreso than it does as a weapon.

»Mystic Eyes of Regent's Sight: Johan's mystic eyes are perhaps weak compared to others. For him, however, it is the perfect set. They are best described in short as "seeing all which gazes upon Him." If you see Johan, he can, in turn, see you. This does not mean that he can immediately pierce through illusions or see the invisible. Nor does this mean he can see someone who is two dimensions away, scrying on him. If you simply turn your back or close your eyes--just avert your gaze to where you cannot see him at all, his Mystic Eyes are useless. But in all cases, he knows at least he is being seen--and a general direction of where it is coming from. Thus, if you are standing behind an illusion, he will still sense that the illusion is the one casting the gaze. If one is invisible, it still just shows him the general direction. But if you are visible, he can focus his gaze as if he were standing right next in front of you, mere inches away. That is not the main effect of his eyes however. When his Mystic Eyes activate, it returns a "feeling" to the one who saw him that they have been seen by him. Thus, in a crowd, his power is at its peak. It gives him an omnipresent feeling to the enamoured masses even though he is no such thing.

» Equipment Johan, as King of the West, has access to, well, a lot. However, his only notable piece of personal equipment is a silver-bladed dagger he keeps at his waist. It is not made of actual silver, but it does have a silver-like sheen to it. It is not really special outside of sentimental value. He also owns the statue of Atlas which was once located in the Rockefeller Center.

V. Joushou (Grundgesetz)

» Joushou Appearance No Change

» Joushou Abilities The main ability of Johan's Joushou is Vorherrschaft (Domination). Vorherrschaft is a sphere around 20 feet in diameter that can be moved around. The sphere is mostly invisible. Only a small shimmer of golden energy where it intersects an object is capable of being seen. Johan has total control over the inanimate objects inside the sphere. This can be everything from a rock to a car. He can bend it, move it, melt it, etc. He can not completely make something disappear, but he can rip it into tiny pieces. If a person is inside of the sphere, then Johan can not manipulate the person or anything on the person. Thus, he can't pickpocket or undress someone with Seiha. Johan can move the sphere around with his mind. At that point it follows his general speed -1 rank. If he wishes for it to move faster, Johan can direct it with his spear. At that point, it moves at his general speed.

VI. Zenou (Weltallgesetz)

» Zenou Appearance When Johan releases his Zenou, he holds his spear horizontal and then releases it. As it releases, the world ripples once for 400 yards in either direction. This is visible from above and below. It doesn't make people ripple. When the ripple passes through someone, they do feel a momentary sense of nausea. It is like if someone is on a boat and a large wave moves the boat up and then it comes crashing down—without the actual movement. At the end of the ripple, a large golden wall phases into existence. This wall is made of energy, but can not be seen through. Johan's spear also undergoes a small change. Wisps of reiryoku dance along the edge. It's like putting something hot outside on a cold day.

» Zenou Abilities In Zenou, Vorherrschaft is changed to Völlig Vorherrschaft(Complete Domination). There is no longer a movable sphere. Instead, the point of the release works as the center for a 400-yard circle. The perimeter of the circle is walled off by fluctuating golden energy. At the top, it looks like an aurora with how it moves. The walls extend 600 yards high before cutting off. However, the full height isn't seen until someone tries to go over it. As someone goes higher, the wall appears to be just above what they can get to. If someone passes through the wall, they will take damage. It is like passing through a mid-level Kidou. The same rules as before apply. Johan can manipulate inanimate objects, so long as they are not on a person.

If someone is between two and one full tier beneath him (if he were a 1-1, this would apply to anyone between 3-1+ and 2-1, but not a 2-1+) and they too create a zone—such as a pocket dimension, arena, etc.—Johan can take control of that zone as well with some difficulty. If they match or the opponent has a higher Willpower score, then Johan cannot take control of it at all. If they are two tiers or below (using the same example, 3-1 and below, but not 3-1+), then Johan can do this without much effort (they have to have a higher Willpower stat than he does in order to fully resist it). The more of a difference in tier, the easier it becomes. If they are between one tier of his tier or higher than his tier, this does not work at all (same example, anyone 2-1+ or higher). This will not remove any buffs they give to the owner of the power, but Johan will not receive any negative debuffs from the zone itself. He can also manipulate it as if it were his own territory, allowing him to shape the zone to his will.

VII. Kyuu Kyou (Selbstgesetz)

» Kyuu Kyou Appearance If Johan's Zenou is control over part of the world and glorifying that part, then his Kyuu Kyou is doing that to himself. While in Kyuu Kyou, Johan's spear loses its physical form and becomes compressed energy. It glows the same bright gold as mentioned in previous abilities. Also while in Kyuu Kyou, Johan himself has a radiant glow. He lights any room he's in like a torch. Almost as noticable, Johan's hair begins to float upwards as if guided by a gentle breeze.

» Kyuu Kyou Abilities Johan only has a single notable ability in his Kyuu Kyou. In fact, it is the only ability in his Kyuu Kyou. However, it could be broken down into smaller bits, but each one would end up tied to the first.

Self-Rule: Self-Rule is a unique passive ability. Johan, while in Selbstgesetz, becomes his own "world" in a sense. To put it into RPG terms, the spell Banish would have to be cast twice on Johan to move him from a realm. The first cast would tear away Self-Rule, while the second would be the actual banishment. Self-Rule gives Johan the capabilities of being a realm unto himself. He becomes the bane and ultimate target for Anti-World abilities. This is really nothing other than a way for him to survive an attack that would normally destroy an entire realm. As he is effectively separate from the realm he is currently occupying, things that affect a realm directly would be useless against Johan unless they specifically target him for it. If Self-Rule is ripped away from Johan, it takes 3 rounds before it returns.

The second part of Self-Rule is where the ability gets its name. To compare it to an existing ability, it is like a Quincy's Ransotengai perfected. Johan is effectively immune to crowd control. He cannot be stunned, paralyzed, etc. for more than one round of posting. If the effect comes from someone two full tiers beneath him (if he were a 1-1, this would apply to anyone 3-1 and below, but not a 3-1+), it does not work at all. If something were to physically bind him, that would not be ignored. It only applies to things such as Sai, poisons & toxins, and other similar restictors. However, during the remaining duration of the crowd control, Johan cannot engage in anything offensive. He doesn't have the utter control that allows him to fight back—just to move around.

[adm]The only issue I currently have is this:

If someone is at least one full tier beneath him (if he were a 1-1, this would apply to anyone 2-1 and below, but not a 2-1+) and they too create a zone—such as a pocket dimension, arena, etc.—Johan can take control of that zone as well.

I would prefer this to be changed to say that it is easier to control a zone if someone were two tiers below him, while it would be harder if someone was one full tier below him, and if someone would be the same tier, it would make it extremely difficult. If you've got questions, or would like to talk about this, feel free to PM me and we can come to a compromise.[/adm]
