Jefferson City 3: Alpha - The Sentinal

Jenkins
With a fist to her mouth, Helle coughed. The next second, Commander Jenkins stepped forward and raised his hand to catch the attention of the mass before him, everyone in attention stopping all action to focus forward. Helle would then step forward, her presence demanding the respect of everyone before her as her emerald eyes glowed underneath the rising sun. Hands behind her back, she opened her mouth and began her introduction and detailing of the events soon to unfold.
"Men! Today we find ourselves in yet another possible catastrophe. Before us lies an unknown entity, created by a sudden influx of untamed Reishi that has now formed a dome around Jefferson City. As some of you know, prior to this event, there was an incident following The Vandenreich's reclaiming of North America that involved the last remnants of the Demonic invasion. We have reason to believe that this is related, so we must stress that all proceed with caution and be prepare for combat. As it stands, there will be three teams, each given a third of the city to survey. Our duty is to find what is causing this anomaly and to detain it. Each and every one of you have been given a post and a commander to follow. Meet with your leading commander for further instruction. Dismiss!"
Helle finished her words and took a step back to allow Commander Jenkins to step forward and begin directing everyone.
"Members under my command remain here. Everyone else head to your proper area."

She expected a few things. At least one thing she'd actually been looking forward to had occurred. Seeing the team distribution, she couldn't help but smile a bit to herself, though that smile did falter as she realized which of the Commanders she would be operating under. Jenkins? She actually wasn't all that familiar with him, but there was something to the cold stare he gave the room that caught her attention. Professional, she liked that in a guy.
And then her attention shifted to the others that were remaining in the room, whilst the others moved to their designated team leaders, and her eyes fell on a familiar face. That smile of hers never moved, but inside, her lip was curling, and the friendly greeting that had been rising in her throat towards Jenkins promptly died on her tongue. She was in the vandenreich?! No less, this bovine was in her squad. She may as well have been standing next to Helle.
"Few more familiar faces than I expected." She turned her attention to Beeps, who floated in next to Stella before chirping twice. Her last name was Bauer.... hm. She kept her thoughts to herself, however, and simply turned her attention to Jenkins for the time being. Repressing the number of ...remarks that came to mind. This was a briefing, not a social gathering. She'd have ample time to .....chat when the mission was over. And once she had this mysterious force in her custody in the Steingruft.

Ah, that woman who didn't like her. Unfortunately instead of getting Natasha she had gotten someone she knows isn't fond of her. Sighing internally she realized she needed to try to make it work atleast. The cutting board may not like her, but maybe they could get along long enough to make it through this mission.
Atleast she knew one person on the team and she'd give a small smile to Akira as she looked down a but nervously. She wasn't sure what she did wrong but she would give a greeting to the woman.
"Heya, good to see you again."

AKIRA TAIRITSU
Ow.
The Vizard had yet fully recovered from something transpiring that his memory still remained foggy about, though decided it best to save such contemplations for a later date. It was his first operation under the Vandenreich afterall. A hand grasping at tablet of some form, eyes darting across any report of this former incident that befall America. It was a curious thing. So much Reishi would only benefit the Quincy, right??
Though as many diverted into teams, gold iris fell unto Ehefra first and foremost whilst an exhale left him. Joyous. The one woman who without a doubt would see him have issues going forward, offering her the benefit of the doubt may be the better play. Try and look at people as if they won’t fuck you over? Sure. Let us try it. Then did they drift to Stella, a smile still ever present across his lips whilst a hand wave followed to her, though was content on merely listening for now.

Jenkins
"Everyone is aware of our situation, yes? Team Alpha, as they put it. We are the forefront of this operation. Diverse and the biggest of the three, our duty is to pull the the main attention of any antagonistic entity within Jefferson City."
His hands behind his back, Jenkins stared out at the crowd before him, seemingly giving off a very chilling authoritative air. He did not even take notice of the large jeeps that pulled up behind him.
"I will do everything in my power to assure you all make it home safely, but it will require due diligence from all of us. Get familiar with those around you, men. They could be the last faces you see today. Be each other's brother, sister, and family, for we will only make it through this together, as The Vandenreich."
He turned and signaled for everyone to move into the jeeps. The forces, despite the silence that had overtook them as Jenkins spoke, broke into small murmuring as they began filtering into the vehicles. Obviously, people are nervous. Some have never been on a mission such as this, and others are weary after what had happened in Africa. However, they all know that now's the time for them to prove why they joined this organization.

The delivery of their mission statement was absorbed with a brief glance to the side. Hm. She was being put on the Vanguard Squad? Rather than Liltotto or Natasha? That was a rather interesting choice. She vaguely wondered if it was Jenkins himself of Helle that had decided the deployment teams. She supposed it didn't matter. She wasn't aware of the details of the other teams. What could they be doing? Retreival? Infiltration? Both of which would be objectives suited to her own talents. Or perhaps there was something else in mind for the other squads. Ah well, she decided not to ruminate too much on the matter. It could be as simple as her being designated to keep an eye on Akira. Her attention shifted towards the young man in question. There was a whisper of movement beneath her labcoat. That pincered tail that was her tertiary bow shifting beneath her labcoat as she promptly headed to the forwardmost jeep. Meanwhile, beeps floated into her coat pocket, swiveling slightly here and there. A small projection popping up above beeps as she began to callibrate an AI program that would suit this operation.
Ah, right.
She turned to look over the Soldat that would be in the Jeep with her. Beeps's chassis peeling open to reveal a few small circles.
"Those of you who will be sticking close to me, you'll be carrying these. This will collect information as well as allow me to keep track of you. If you can't kill an enemy, try your best to hold it down and the rest of the squad will coordinate to provide support. If your bracelet Picks up something you can't handle, there is a small button on these bands. Push it, and ordinance will be deployed to take out the target. You'll be fighting under the Steingruft Administrator's watch today. Consider yourselves lucky." She instructed, a light smile offered to the soldat before she promptly slipped into the Jeep and resumed working on the AI script in question. A slight modification to the simple script she usually used. Repurposed to be applied to Beeps' Crusher Arrows.

Stella would listen to the woman as she would watch the Soldat move. After which she would also take one as she knows she isnt as strong as her other team members. She'd give them a reassuring smile as she would follow the woman into the Jeep. She would get into the back seat as she would lean back and wait for Akira to join them. Not wanting to annoy the black and red head she'd simply set quietly to herself. She knew their last interaction didn't go as well, so she wanted to rectify that if possible.
She'd worry slightly about the mission ahead of them, but she just pushed the worry into the back of her mind. There was three of them, and she had been training her ass off for something like this. She wanted to prove that she was a worthy member of the Vandenreich, so she would wait patiently for her instructions.

AKIRA TAIRITSU
There was a swelling sensation of authority delivered by this Jenkins, reminding him a little of Captains or Lieutenants back in the Gotei. It was a curious affair that this energy has constantly cropped up, clearly it was not a natural phenomena? There had to be something using it as a testing ground. Why? So much Reishi certainly could be used for too many things, maybe the Vandnereich could harness it for another reason. It was not his place to think about it, as of this moment. His objective? Simple: Attract danger, eliminate the threats and make sure Ehefra did not crush his cranium in the process.
."Ma’am..”
He offered to Ehefra, though finally saw himself in the confines of the jeep as they began to roll out. A smile moving to be offered to Stella, though an odd bunch to throw together in the midst of it all…It was not ineffective.
."I can take the forefront of this if necessary, my Kido is strong enough to withstand punishment whilst you both focus on exploiting such opportunities. Not that I intend to stand there, should a hostile meet us.”

Jenkins
His eye did not turn or focus on Ehefra's query for everyone around her to rely on her abilities. Jenkins knows what she is capable of, and even if she'd find success other areas, if one portion is too focused on doing one thing, they will lack in another. He could gather all the strongest fighters he could, but they'd be nothing without a proper specialist that could provide support as Ehefra could. He kept silent though, as everyone rode towards their destination.
In only a few moments, they'd stop, the door to the jeeps opening and letting everyone out. Before them, the massive dome of Reishi rose to the Heavens, it's shape a looming dread. However, Jenkins wasted no time stepping to the front to confront everyone.
"Alright, men. Here we are. Once we enter, communication with the outside will become impossible. However, we will be able to communicate with the other teams."
He turned and then proceeded through the Reishi's barrier, ending up on the other side. Before them would be a street in a modern suburban part of the Jefferson. The road before them seemed like a backway into the city that diverts from a highway further down. Much like reports have reported, there seems to be a lack of life around them, the constant Reishi around them thick.

Ehefra's brows perked slightly as she noticed the barrier that was before them. Hopping out of the Jeep, she promptly had Beeps float over to the thing and see about scanning it. Checking to see if it's composition or structure could be broken down as Jenkins provided his explanation of the situation. Ah, interesting. So no opportunity of backup. And recalling their function, they were to get in there and cause a ruckus to give the other teams less to worry about in terms of security. Make noise then. Well the best way to do that would be to pressure the enemy. She cast a glance over toward Akira for a moment and noticed he hadn't taken one of the bracelets. "Sure you don't want one of these? If I recall you're something of a glass canon." She offered as she held out one of the bracelets. Not that she was going to push the issue. Not like she was his boss. Nor in charge of this operation. Ah well.
All the same, she gently cracked her knuckles and licked her teeth before stepping into the barrier after Jenkins, perking slightly as she made note of the sudden density of spiritual energy on the inside. Ooh, now wasn't that auspicious?
Promptly, Ehefra opened her palm, and created a ring of collected reishi, the hiss and crackle of arrows being generated sounding as a number of Claw-like arrows filled the space above her palm, fusing together into a single twisted spike as Beeps floated up into the air where it could receive information. It would be the source of ordinance for those that had their bracelets. ONce a target was identified, Beeps would assess the threat, and fire modified Crusher Missiles to take the target out with small-radius concentration explosive missiles. Either as triggered by a bracelet, or at Ehefra's instruction. Thankfully, due to it's design, Beeps didn't need to be on Ehefra to operate, all she had to do was give it instructions to follow. Normally it only accepted commands from her, but the Bracelets were added to the administrator list for this mission. Thus giving them all somewhat limited access to her Primary Bow.
Still, she'd hardly just be sitting around while Beeps did that. Raising her arms as if pulling back a bowstrring. The claws from her gauntlet slowlt spread out, string of reishi lashed between them as those claws were turned into a multi-armed bow. Pulling back that concentrated arrow and focusing her Reikaku through the city, feeling about for any sources of spiritual pressure. She'd naturally search for the strongest one she could feel. But well, if she couldn't feel one? She could always just aim for the tops of buildings. Try and flush out enemy forces.
With that arrow drawn all the way back, she vanished, blistzing up to the top of one of the adjacent buildings. Last thing she needed was a bunch of return fire centered on their forces while everyone was still together.
PANG!
The sound of the arrow being let loose cracked the glass of the nearby windows as that arrow plowed clean through the buildings and chunks of city in it's path with enough force to plow through a bunker. A shot aimed to stir the hornet's nest and draw aggro to herself. Give the weaker members of the team the opportunity to potentially get their pick of targets for any that started making their way toward the Administrator.
