Unfortunately Law had been standing in the area that was impacted with the most force when the dragon broke through from beneath them. Within moments he found himself launched through the air with a surprising amount of force. It didn't take him long to assess what had happened, but that didn't mean he was any less taken off guard by it. Why in the hell was there a dragon just waiting to ambush them from under the ground. It was like nothing he'd ever seen before. Of course he'd read about dragons, and he had suspected that they did actually exist at one point, but he never thought he'd actually run into one, especially not now. Oh well, it certainly made things more interesting. Within moments of being sent flying Law had corrected his body and made sure he was going to land on his feet. He came down hard, but he was able to absorb most of the impact simply by bending his knees during his landing. Still, it was a bit of a jarring landing, and it took him a second to be completely sure of himself.
At the same time there was something else going on. Law still hadn't stood fully, remaining in a semi crouched position. For a moment he thought the landing had hit him harder than he'd initially realized, but then he began to feel something else. His entire body was tense, and he felt dazed, out of it. A blinding pain began to radiate outwards from his temples until he could barely think straight. Worse than anything else he felt himself beginning to lose control of his body. His legs were straightening on their own, and his left hand, usually left free, began to plant itself firmly on the hilt of his blade. His eyes changed as well, although he had no way of knowing that. They were a deep gold at the moment.
Furious that his body would betray him in such a way, Law wouldn't accept that he had no control over his own movements. He shook his head violently, wresting control of his body back from whatever was taking control of it. He rapidly went over anything he could think of that would cause his body to react this way. A few drugs came to mind, but due to various factors it couldn't have been any of them. He continued to wonder over a plethora of natural and supernatural causes, drifting closer and closer to the truth before a voice interrupted his thought process, confirming what he'd started to suspect."Why fight it. Just give in."
The voice was smooth. So smooth you could almost call it slippery. Law knew instantly that it had originated from inside of his head. An inner hollow, just fucking perfect. Well it could rot in hell for all he was concerned, there was no way it was taking over his body. He voiced this in the best possible way he knew how, not bothering to keep his thoughts between the hollow and himself, but uttering his words aloud.
With that he shut out any thoughts of the hollow that he now knew he'd have to deal with sooner or later, and set his mind back on his task, his eyes, however, retained their new golden hue. K-world could take care of the dragon, he had an elderly Asian man to deal with, and as much as he hated to admit it, it was going to be no walk in the park. Luckily, he'd been able to maintain his concentration while being sent flying through the air, so he still had a trick up his sleeve. With that in mind he made an effort to blitz Jiao-Long, who'd handled the dragon's appearance incredibly gracefully, and who now stood about twenty feet from him. Using his shunpo he was able to close the distance almost instantly, bringing his sword down upon his foe in a crossing motion.
