February 14. It was not a particularly wondrous day in the eyes of Iori Tokugawa. It wasn't as if she hated it or reviled it, but she could definitely admit that it was not a day that she found all that exciting.

Suffice it to say, Valentine's day was the same as any other day in her eyes. The crimson-haired woman had experienced a relationship or two in the past but even then, it was not as if this day was one that roused her excitement.

Her raven-haired sister was likely enjoying this holiday with her husband and Iori's brother-in-law. Iori, on the other hand, was quietly playing on a guitar she had brought from a shop, sitting somewhere within a secluded spot by a small playground.

Her ears were outfitted with headphones playing the tune of "Miss Me Blind" by Culture Club. As one who adored every part of the eighties - its music especially - such tunes always seemed to bring her peace of mind.

Humming softly, she tapped at the guitar, staring into the noon sky, losing herself in the rhythm of the sound and the warm embrace of Minatumi.

"I know you'll miss me bliiiiiiiind~"

There was a grump in her city. This, would not do. Ulv would not stand for this today, and so she would make plans to give Iori - said grump - a good day. So that she wasn't so much of a grump next year when this day rolled around again.

Kicking off and arriving behind Iori, she would speak to her. And with Ulv's powerful will-based capabilities, Iori would have the words throb in her head rather than have to compete with the headphones that she was wearing.
"I do, actually, yes. Which is why I have decided to take you out on a date this Valentines"

The firm yet gentle voice of Ulv Auber had startled Iori as she turned to face the voice, even with her headphones on. Blinking somewhat as if she had seen a ghost, Iori stood up with her guitar and scratched the back of her head. Moving the headphones from her ears, she took the time to recognize what Ulv had said to her during her state of musical bliss. Iori blushed as she scratched her head and registered how she was able to seemingly read her mood and emotion. Empathic abilities were a pain in the ass when you could be read like a book. Turning her head to the side, she said;

"I know If I say no, you'd keep asking until I break down and give in. Fine. I'll humor you on this silly holiday. What did you have in mind? And please, let it be normal and not anything moderately close to romantic, got it?"

"If you refused with conviction I would leave you along. It's my principles, after all. I only hound those who refuse without heart behind it. Those who refuse, without refusing" Ulv told Iori. Stepping up to her and patting her head gently, it was a warm and strange act. Most might feel demeaned by it, but Ulv somehow managed to make it feel entirely serious and forthright.

"Why would a date on Valentines Day, the most romantic day of the year, not be anything moderately close to romantic? That seems a very daft oxymoron. Doubly so considering I might want to romance you so you can have good memories of the day?"

As Ulv walked over and patted her head, Iori could not help but get the sense that Ulv had no intention of following Iori's rule. Even though Iori had no particular disdain towards - oh screw it, she did.

She thought the entire holiday was a concept that was every bit of asinine as it was stupid. To celebrate a day of love when you should celebrate every day with a loved one and intimate relationships - what a foolish concept!

Even as such thoughts surfaced through her mind, Ulv seemed deadset on making sure her valentine's day was as close to the best thing it could be. Sighing as she crossed her arms, she turned away and simply gave in. There was no use in fighting this. In fact, she was quite curious to see what Ulv had in mind and figured it would be more eventful than learning guitar in the middle of the city.

"Ugh, fine. I'm sure whatever you do won't work on me in the slightest, anyway. I'm curious as to what you have in mind, so, if you're so intent on showing me the beauty of such a stupid holiday, then humor me."

Iori was really set on the hate of this day. Though, it wasn't totally unsurprising given that she hadn't had a lover in a long time. Ehh, Ulv could fill that gap in if she needed to. Though, the trouble of her words needed to be addressed before they went any further.

"You say it won't work on you, which means it won't. Once you set your mind to a conclusion, it matters not what the story is, the end has already been written. I need you to remove prenotions from your head and see this day as it is. Not as you think it is"

Remove premonitions from her head, huh? Iori was not particularly excited about this day and it was no question how much she abhorred it. It was one of those days she would always be approached by men and even a few women who thought they could woo her with roses or chocolates or speak in some sort of suave and romantic fashion that would make her fall to her knees. To be fair, Ulv had a very good point. To assume that something was poor before it can even begin was somewhat foolhardy. It was a good thought to ponder on. Never knock it until you try it, huh? Iori ruminated on her thoughts before she settled down into her mood and nodded.

"Very well. I won't deny that you didn't make a good point, just then. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to spend the day with you. And thus, that brings me back to my question from before. What do ya' got in mind, Mayor?"

Therefore I had to make sure you wouldn't hate the idea before the idea was born" Ulv would then gesture towards the Manorm where if Iori was willing, they would both head up there. From here, Ulv would direct her to the wardrobe wing, with a gentle smile. here it was evident Ulv was a massive clothing fetishist, as the wardrobe they walked into was massive and had thousands of outfits.

"First step. Dress pretty, look pretty, feel pretty. You must have the right mindset before going into something like this or the rest of the day shall be soured. Not that I am saying you have a perfect dress sense for this stuff, but ask for help if you need it"

Walking into Ulv's expansive wardrobe had left Iori speechless. As a woman who only went off of her surface-level opinion of Ulv Auber, she was clearly astonished to know that the woman had such a massive array of clothing sitting in her wardrobe. Somewhat intrigued by the idea of dressing up, Iori went through Ulv's wardrobe as she searched for "suitable clothing" for the occasion.

Even though she never considered herself a fashion expert, she always enjoyed choosing her own clothing and the way she presented herself. One thing she always took from the eighties was the expressive way in which everyone dressed.

Flamboyant and full of life. Moving towards a black dress that didn't seem to reveal much still seemed elegant enough for Iori's tastes, she quickly grabbed it and went inside the dressing room before she used her own form of telekinetic skill to place the dress around her body and a good pair of shoes on her feet. Once she did so, she exited the wardrobe and bowed in a fashion that not was very feminine at all. Baby steps, baby steps.

"How do I look?"

Ulv was less, shy. As Iori was searching, she just dropped her clothes and picked out a dress. Butt-naked, there dress was then slid into. A beautiful red thing with a very long split up the side, showing off basically her entire left leg. With no shoulder straps and plenty of chest space, it ws a sultry and enticing dress. And the silk gloves pulled on just added to the piece.

When Iori came out in a nice black dress, Ulv smiled and nodded to her appreciatively.
"It's nice. Fits you to boot. Not to flashy or aggressive. Though, if you are going to wear a dress, learn to curtsy" Ulv would then shift, moving past Iori to behind her and stroking her hands down the woman's arms.

"Take the helm of your skirt, keep your back straight and bob your knees. It's something good to know for the future if you ever find yourself needing to curtsy to Hayden or whoever"
