Mother, O' Mother! [ Iota x Inami ]

She nodded, showing that she understands the words that her mother said. Magic was definitely a weird subject, but from the looks of things, it had a huge potential to become one of her most versatile skill sets. The main probably was how much time it was going to take to train it and if her ideal world was really something that could work with magic because tweaking her ideal world and powerset was going to be a much larger pain in the ass than just pursuing a different avenue of expertise.

"Yes mother, I think I get what you're saying. If I'm being frank, my skills are only in their infant stage, and as you said, I could live so there's plenty of time to work on them. Whether or not I want to keep running into a wall until breaks is another matter though..." A sigh of mental exhaustion escaped her lips as Iota slumped into her chair. Just the thought of training to reach her mother's level of mastery over magic seemed like a daunting task, though that on its own wasn't what bothered her. "I'll see if I can make time for it. I've been quite busy lately, maybe you've heard of what's transpired. Since it was my idea, a lot of the responsibility has landed on me. It's not the best situation but it is what it is."

There was a moment of silence as Iota tried to figure out where to bring the conversation, how much she wanted to open up to her mother. Ultimately, she decided to bring it somewhere emotional.

"...Which is why I'm here I guess. I love talking to you about whatever. It helps take my mind off of stuff." Iota would avoid eye contact with her mother as to not show weakness, which was weird since Inami raised her at a point in time.
