Re: Girls' Night In [Abalia, Makoto, Elyss]

MAKOTO ARIMA
Team name? How ridiculous. Special Squad 17 was fine, Makoto saw no reason why that wasn't okay. Maybe they shouldn't keep the seventeen, people might ask too many questions about the number and the other special squads. The good diligent girl she was meant that she didn't even need to inquire about those other special groups, if she needed to know then Abalia would tell her. Curiousity killed cat.
What begrudged her more was the knowledge that she had to wait until the end of medical leave. What a bore, medical leave was so boring. It could be worse, at least she had her lessons with Shishiyuki to fill some evenings.
"I don't particularly care too much about naming the team. It seems pointless."
Makoto followed along after she said it, allowing for Abalia to lead them to eat and continue with the night. It'd been a long time since she was in a social concept like this, dinner with others in a home rather than some social outing she dragged herself to in a public place. How uncomfortable to think about.

“The fact that it’s pointless is why we make one. Some things don’t need any ulterior reason for existing.”
She doesn’t have a name idea, so she’s not going to push it. Besides, it wouldn’t be fun if she’s the only one who even puts in the effort for one. What a buzzkill. Even Abalia thought it wouldn’t hurt. Imagine being as heartless as the woman who can’t understand hers. Special Squad 17 is kind of cool anyway, bar the 17 part. That means there are 16 others, yeah? Interesting. However, that’s not important now. Makoto being on medical leave is. Technically, Elyss is sort of being watched a bit. It’s been a while now though, so that situation is probably all cleared up. Actually, when will her support roommate move out? Ah. That’s also not important right now.
“Food? Well, if you insist.”
As if she’s turning down something to eat. What more are they to discuss? Doesn’t seem like they can do anything else besides speculate. Well, she’ll let them do all the extra talking. She just follows along.

ABALIA KYORAKU-HAYDEN
"Well, whether or not you choose to name the team matters little. If you do decide on one, however, do remember to inform me of it. I would be rather interested to hear what it is that you have thought of."
Leading the way off toward the dining hall, Abalia seemed, for once, as if she were almost a normal woman. There was still the profoundly clinical air to her, the generally cold demeanor that seemed as if she would study even a kiss on the lips with all the dry analysis of an expenditure report. Yet, at the same time, she was almost relaxed. This was, after all, her home, and these were her friends. It would be strange if she did not allow her guard to be lowered.
"I hope that the two of you do enjoy dinner. If there is anything which you would prefer which is not prepared, please do feel free to request whatever you might wish."
She was a rather good hostess, in no small part from the amount of formal events that she had been a part of in Vastime. However, that was ultimately rather inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Ultimately, it was simply in Abalia's nature to assist those she considered worth her attention.

The fact it's pointless is why they should make one? What dumb idea was that? Makoto just shook her head while she followed behind Abalia. She was a little hungry but she didn't like people cooking for her, eventually she'd have to get over that at some time. There was not a picky bone in her body though, whatever she got given Makoto would diligently eat. It was hard to really unwind though with a strange way it stood out to her that Abalia seemed more at ease than she did. Well, it was her house and she had a will that could kill anyone in the room. How did it seem at all surprising that she was confident or relaxed?
"I will be sure to keep it in mind."
Makoto said she'd consider it but that was a lie, it was unlikely that she'd even ask for seconds let alone something specific. She had mixed feelings about this whole thing, she was uncomfortable despite the environment and the fact she thought it wasn't bad.

“Hey. Abalia said she wants us to report to her about our name, so we have to make one: Captain’s orders.”
She’d smirk a bit but leaves it at that as they neared the dining room. Everything’s calm. It’s a bit weird to think about how things will change when they’re finished with all of this. It’s kind of unimaginable. Then, with that in mind, there’s no point trying to perceive that future. One can only move forward until that possibility is their present. So, why ponder that when there’s food. Elyss is a tiny woman, but she has the appetite of a giant. Seconds, thirds, fourths? Ah. She shouldn’t eat Abalia out of her home, but with such an opportunity right before her…
“I’m hungry. Let’s get with it already, yeah?”
Lacking any courtesy, the redheaded brute couldn’t keep herself from spouting out whatever came into her head. How much she’s changed from her quiet antisocial ways. It’s pretty bizarre, but that’s just how it is at times. Besides, with both women proving unable to liven things up, someone has to be the ‘pow’, right?
