Frozen Night (Rei/Akira)

ZATHRUSTA

Drip…Drip….Drip….

There was a Shinigami which seemed bound to the thick oak of a nearby tree, dirtied yellow binding of some form of spellwork though their otherwise black kamino stunk of iron as blood had seeming seeped into the very thread work of their clothing. A few mutterings barely escaped the shaggy brown haired male, though standing not five feat away from a crimson coated individual, a theatrical tophat and feather sporting outward. A white mask that held small splatters of crimson droplets caressing the curves.

."Tsk. Are your vocal chords already all broken? I can’t believe such a disappointing creature didn’t longer. Come now, I can’t evolve if you’re going to be a crumpled mess so easily.”

A soft chuckle emanates from behind it, a razor sharp knife resting in the right gloved palm. Zathrusta had been practicing pumping the pollutant energy that was his corruption within Akira’s Kido, learning basic refinement of it but as of this moment it hadn’t gone too well. Such a tragic little ant. Maybe the conflict necessary for his ascension would rest in the hands of larger prey?

."Well…I guess I should have a bit of fun before we venture onwards! So many little liars out there in this fucking insufferable world of righteoeus bullsh-! Ehm. Lost myself for a moment, I get ever so annoyed. Ah. Yes. You. Goodnight little thing.”

He claimed with little regard as Rei might be able to save the mans life! The finger of Zathrusta sizzlinig to life with an intended Byakurai, a harsher hue of blue coalecing into reality as it shot forth with the intent to pierce the mans cranium like a lance!

."B-yak-ur-ai.”

ZATHRUSTA (Inner Hollow)

Zathrusta blinked a few times as the figure he had been using as a test dummy for combining his energy with Akira’s had been plucked. Who was the little creature that interfered?! The voice bringing his attention to Rei, a scoff of raw distaste echoing out behind the white mask and moving the folded steel blade up against the mask, an Iris of midnight blue glowing ever so lightly through the slits.

."Tsk. You actually think I’m one of those deluded little ants that swathe mindlessly in their nest? Truly?! Uhm. That little miss isn’t a species I’d even humor, sad fools that secrete lies. So much power and they use it for….Nothing…Oh! Wait! You’re one of them, excellent….”

The latter of his statement dripping with malice, a crack of the neck coming to echo throughout the forest as the Inner Hollow was incredibly eager to sink his skills into a combatant worth more than an idle flick of the wrist. A leg stood backward, an open palm wriggling fingers as a hand suddenly shift across the blades surface, a roaring amount of energy following through.

."Hadō 11: Tzuzuri Raiden!”

A burst of lightning ran down the length of the knife, turning it more into a refined blade of energy as a Shunpo followed shortly after, an eager laugh radiating from his throat as an attempt to swipe at Rei’s left arm came true! Yet the lightning didn’t hold, it faltered as Zathrusta tried to force his energy to merge with it, making it mainly a meager knife strike..

."Dammit!”

AKIRA TAIRITSU

There was an instinctive growl as Rei’s shoulder touched his overcoat, the audacity of such a being was utterly revolting! He was cast back, causing a few steps as the incoming blade cut through the air, managing to erect a small membrane across the upper forearm to impact the edged weapon. It would though still slide through slightly, cutting through clothing and allowing a viscous black liquid to drip onto the ground.

."Oho? You are an optimistic little thing aren’t you? Okay girl….”

Zathrusta cracked his neck, a rotational movement and brought two fingers to the left. The sudden surge of energy would indicate a modification of a Hadō, though often Shu was perceived as a basic shunt. For a creature like his host? Easily malleable. The incoming energy burst out, as the swipe motion indicated a level of cleaving, as a pair of vertical telekinetic blades cascaded out! It was evident by his position that he was aiming to slash at her body, maybe the upper left shoulder!

."Hadō 1: Shu!”

Bakudo? Ahahahaha! This one truly was a little sprite wasn't she? Tsk. These shinigami held little value for their spellcraft and had the audacity to refer to them as the Demonic arts, yet played the roles of Angels. Shepherds. The most blatant lie of that whole society. Disgusting. Filth. Yes. This was a lost soul that was required to acknowledge a future where all such lies did not exist, revel within their new life!

The incoming torrent of energy shifted like a serpent, moving to constrict his body as he wriggled a little though as this finally made contact, a malicious and humored cackle followed. Rei would easily be able to see the almost distorted, static like formation of a crimson orb within the left palm that was pointed below at the feet, aiming to lull her close.

."Hadō 31: Shakkaho!”

She could see it launch into the ground though erupt in a violent wave of crimson energy outward, aiming to break the Bakudo from the form of the Vizard but also cause severe burns across Rei’s body if she came too close. The fiery energy licking and consuming all in its path for a few moments, leaving behind charred ground and steaming plumes of note.

ZATHRUSTA (Inner Hollow)

Eh? Ohoho! Interesting!

The sudden burst of air began to taint the surrounding area, creating a lower temperature as Zathrusta glanced at the clear cut flash freezing of objects within Rei’s vicinity. Curious indeed. Maybe he should take her a little seriously? An idle slump of the left side followed suit, letting out an ecstatic cackle that Rei would notice his neck rotating as if warming up. Ice was very dangerous to deal with for most, lucky this one couldn’t feel the true essence of cold.

No matter.

."You are quite a persistent little thing aren’t you? My applause! Usually they…Break…After so long. Your amplified strength has finally brought you to my level, if not exceeding it! A little atleast! You actually have a chance! This heart pumps with excitement!”

Zathrusta brought both hands out, heated exhales coming from behind the white mask as his eyes darted about the area. It did not spread beyond a certain circumference? Stay out of the range, whittle her down and victory would be assured. Easy. Boring. No! The gathering of energy within his left palm began to be noticeable, a distorted, glitchy version of Kido manifesting only for his body to disappear! Above!

The flash step allowing him for a brief moment of aerial vantage, twisting his body and letting out a hearty laughter of excitement!

."Do not let me down! Hadō 33: Sokatsui-ka!”

From above, left hand flaring did the burst of darker hue’d flame erupt in a vast area yet during the casting, Rei may have noticed a rise of elements of dirt, earth. The element had imbued itself alongside the flame, creating instead a blanket of thick, weighted, magma that rained down from above! Aiming not only to cause serious wound to her but even the Shingiami she assisted! Which would she shield? Who could she save?
