Rei would flash step down in front of the shinigami that she had saved earlier. She would look up with hate filled eyes as she couldn't believe this coward would attack someone who was already down like that. Rei would look up as she would see the energy coming down at her as she would attempt to make some ice come from the tree directly to her left to block it as she would move to pick the shinigami up and get him away so she can fight.

ZATHRUSTA (Inner Hollow)

Zathrusta let out a sharp “tsk” of the teeth as the girl decided to use her zanpakuto as a way to defend herself, each boot landing upon areas around the forestry that weren’t being ignited by the sizzling magma. It was clear that such a release made her stronger, alot like that insufferable purity that attacked him before. The thick smoke began to form, creating a shocking fog that spread as the slow thick liquid began to consume the area, leaving a pair of flashing eyes behind the mask.

."Well done, little thing….You elected to keep your comrade safe at the risk of your own flesh, truly….Riveting…Hehe… ”

There was a break, a sudden burst of amused louder as the annoyance of a creature who stuck to their morality, those infernal constraints, such weakness! It was there! Began to surface into a feral snarl, each hand raising out to either side as if embracing the current situation with open arms.

."Run! Ahahaha! Flee! It will not be long until your break is up, then I shall come!”

Rei would pick up her comrade as she didn't want to risk his life. She had to save who she could as she would flash step out from her ice taking advantage of the situation to get away. However, she would have some parting words for the masked man as she would make sure to get her point across. She wasn't able to fight for the kill because she had people to protect, but next time the masked figure wouldn't be so lucky in her mind.

"Next time, I won't have someone to protect. So, be careful I will be the one to send you back into the soul cycle."

As Rei would continue along with her comrade. She would try to freeze the worst wound shut as to keep him from losing anymore blood as they wouldn continue going through the woods.
