So Many Amusing People[Kaito and Koneko] - Page 3 Koneko3
Tsukiko Yun, the Survivor Koneko
Sending confusion all over, I burnt with the questions inside
It seemed like he wouldn't fight; and Koneko had a wandering thought. Surprising to her, as she usually didn't think much; but she noted that, he had seemed almost content, if not alright with the fact that she had not done violence any longer. Just whom was this male? The girl was perhaps surprised, as there was that emotion in her eyes, his soft kiss back almost startling, even as she was well-aware of his touch on her hip. It wasn't intrusive, but it felt more like he was trying to keep her from falling; at least, that's the explanation she had conjured. She might have knowledge on how to use her body as a weapon, but she had never been told why; the clan had been rudely interrupted before that part of the curriculum, along with the emotional faking, the psychology, and a brace of useful tools that would have helped her otherwise. She understood that humans would do only what brought them pleasure; but yet he had done just about everything to help her as well. Even she was not as dumb as to be unable to recognize someone that was doing such things. The girl's gaze flickered over him, as she tilted her head almost curiously, the cat's yellow in them making her seem almost unusual. But she was curious to see what he would answer to her question. That emotion played across her face, oddly enough; Koneko did not hide it, as if she had let a bit of a flower bloom.

That or he had become better at reading her subtle hints, as in fact, the emotions were there all along, despite her repressing them immensely. His answer was the same as before; and she understood that. But yet.. she knew that a part of himself was hidden; it wasn't that she hadn't been observant; she had known this was a fight she would lose. But she figured she could at least escape; and the shame brought it back to the need of executing herself, as the clan had been reclusive in nature. Thus being exposed.. was their shame. And yet, she was the only of them to still remain; what pride was there left to carry? The girl felt her eyes follow his movements, as he brought them down. He had released her wrist, and then the touch on her hip lingered, before leaving, his steps exiting the door. The girl stayed a moment and knew that the Yuudeshi network had seen the entire scene; with a soft sigh, she simply walked out the door, following him. She would trust that this network would notify the Gotei of the girl's absence; the tresses of her black hair bounce behind her. Her steps were quiet, and she was a bit further from the male, but her yellow eyes were fixated on him. The pitter patter of her steps followed him like noises, as she didn't even think about the basic things; where was she to live, where was she to earn such things for what he offered her?

Koneko had not thought of any of these, and simply followed, having next to no self-thought. In fact, the little thinking for herself she had done today, was perhaps the limit of what she had done in a long time. So would this male break such a habit? Or would he reinforce it? Admittedly.. a thought in the subconscious of her mind was intrigued but such things.

Sagumi did not turn around when he heard her soft steps land behind him and follow him as he moved, as if she were a cat begrudgingly following around her human owner. Not that Sagumi felt he particularly owned her or any such nonsense, but the analogy was rather appropriate given that the color of her eyes even fit the part. No, instead he kept walking, making good time toward his, no, their new home. Koneko and soon, Kaito, would be living with him now and it would be so, so nice to actually have people with him in the dojo he had recently built. It was getting quite lonely in the massive complex with only himself . There was something of great importance that he needed to impress upon her however, as the man continued his quick gait toward his home, a bemused smile painted across his face as his glance shifted over his shoulder for a moment, staring in to her golden eyes as he did so. She had already changed much in his disposition toward Sagumi since the two first met. Before she was an emotionless mask, there was nothing there, a blank slate but now, she had shown sadness, fear, curiosity. She was looking like she was a human being. She wasn't of course, he knew that, but emotionally Shinigami were not supposed to be that different than an actual person and it was nice to see that the first Shinigami he crossed with in a long time was not going to be completely emotionally dead inside.

"If you come with me, you are, under no circumstances, allowed to take your own life. By following me you acknowledge and accept those terms. Now, let's go home."

Sagumi turned his head back forward and did just that. Perhaps the manner in which he did was short, not especially padded or reaching an arbitrary semi-millenial number, but he felt it did the job well enough considering they were going to be having more to work with later. Koneko had a long, long life ahead of her now and she'd quickly find that Sagumi was not going to be an easy master to study under, in a multitude of ways.
