To Protect Those You Care For [Private: Kimitsuki/Hiroi]

The thoughts that still tore through the Danava of Fire's vulnerable mind, and mess of emotions, were still far too much to bear. To think that Desmond Hayden, her friend and a man she had cared for could be.... gone. It was painful, it was dreadful, it threatened to turn Kimitsuki into the natural disaster that all people knew fire to be. However, she kept herself held together by thinking of her objective. Even if he was lost, even if he was now gone and never to be seen again; she was not going to lose anyone else. She refused it. Such a reason was why Kimitsuki left the War Room at a limp; her torrent of emotion causing her head, and powers, to spin uncontrollably. However, she eventually had found her own legs after walking along the wall for more than long enough.

She wasn't going to let this pull her down. She may have lost, at least so it seemed, but she would not lose anymore. Even as sparks still quietly jumped from the Danava's exposed skin, she pushed her way through the crowds; using gouts of her liberation flame to briefly liberate the citizens of panic. It would not do them well to run from the city in panic. After all, they were the civilians of Vastime; and they needed to be orderly like their king once was. Which was why Kimi helped how she could while she made her way home. She may be extremely frightened of what could happen; but she refused to let that color her this day. She needed to return home; return to the demon she had grown so fond of despite her oddities.

It took considerably more time to get home than when she left it. Helping people instead of rushing through crowds certainly had that effect. However, she eventually arrived inside her humble abode and looked around for her small companion; Hiroi Kiga. A charming, if not odd, demon who Kimi had taken in; and found herself caring for her more and more each day. It was odd, really. However, she did not consider the reasons as the demon stole to her own room, pulling out some things. They would need to pack quickly, and then Kimitsuki would take herself and Hiroi away; maybe to America or Japan... She knew Japan must have good food. Kimitsuki... Kimitsuki would return later. Right now... Right now she would be useless to her Queen; to her now departed King. How could she properly fight with her emotions so torn? If she had to encounter a man with the visage of Desmond Hayden, but none of the man himself, it was hard to say how useful Kimi would be...

As Kimitsuki packed, she stopped long enough to resume her search for Hiroi; calling out to her briefly.

"Hiroiii! Hiroii~? Are you here...? We need to pack up and get going. I'm afraid Vastime isn't as safe as I thought it would be; especially now that, well... I'll tell you later... We can go as soon as we're both ready."

It was strange, heartbreaking, for Kimitsuki to have to leave her King right now; as he was being taken over by Death. However, she had no choice. Death had taken Hayden; and she refused to let anything take Hiroi from her. She would sooner burn everything down than lose someone else she cared for deeply; so she would flee for now, regain herself. She would protect herself and Hiroi. And, one day, she would return... Return to lay her King to rest.
