Man, she didn't even try to incentivise this stupid contest with a bit of fun. How boring and dull, the redhead looked a little bored as he kicked back the drink without any kind of hint that it even burned going down. Considering his whole inhereted family power involved heating his body to very high temperatures, this little bit of fire down his throat barely compared with how painful that could get for him.

"Was that it? I thought you were going to get something that burned on the way down?"

Now that was unnecessary of a flex but she had started this little dickwaving contest and he wasn't going to pretend like he would be humble about her little game. If anything he should thoroughly destroy her in this game so she knew how much of an idiot she was to start it in the first place.

“Ooh, Alastor. Keep acting all macho, and you’ll scare the ladies off.”

Her shit eating grin is paired with her throwing back another glass. Oh? So this is going to be an actual contest, eh? She would have been disappointed if her companion proved a sorry excuse for a man. He’s nothing like Takehiko who couldn’t even drink piss water before falling into a drunken depression. She’s going to enjoy herself.

“Ah. It’s been a while since I’ve let loose like this. Hah. Give me that.”

She’d snatch the bottle off the counter and begin downing the drink without a care for manners. The next second, she’d place it back down, emptied and left to be thrown in some pile. Her cheeks red from not breathing and from the alcohol coursing through her blood, she threw her, now red, eyes his way and raised a brow. She’s expecting him to follow suit. It’s the only way he can tie up their little contest. Huh… Is the world spinning a bit. She blinked, feeling the alcohol settle inside her.

"Hey! Settle down you stupid idiot."

Her rash decision to suddenly try and down the whole bottle even left the bartender at a loss for words. The woman was truly a monster, Alastor was proven right. Ain't no lady stupid enough to do something like that except this shortstacked redhead.

"Are you okay?"

He looked at her warily. It would not surprise him if she looked ready to fall out of her chair right now with how she had gone through that. Was he going to need to drag her off to the medical units and explain how she had tried to destroy her liver and kill herself? Hopefully not. This girl really made more work for everyone around her.

"How many fingers am I holding up?"

He was holding up three.

Her blazing gaze faltered for a bit. Huh? What’s the noise all about? Fingers? Jeez. What an idiot. Obviously, he’s holding up five. Wait, no. Three? She squints, her eyes constantly cycling between red and black as if something’s trying to do something with her body but failing. Then, her cheeks would bloom, matching her hair in color as she hiccuped. Whoops. She did it now, huh?

“Oi. Alastor? Ya know... I like you. All the other weaklings -hic- they’re too scared to ever talk shit, but you. Man. You’s alright. Knows just hows to treat a gal.”

She laughs, loudly, showing off a side of herself that’s way more fun-loving than any other version of herself. She couldn’t help but pat Alastor on the back, her actions proving stronger than what they were meant to be due to her growing lack of self-control. Man. The room just won’t stop spinning, but she’s loving it. It’s like a wild rollercoaster. Reminds her when Arkin had thrown her through all those trees. That was fun, real fun. Hey! Maybe they should have invited the big lug. He would have enjoyed a drinking contest.

With another hic, she waves down the bartender.

“Aye. Yo. Woohooo! Another glass. Come on now. We trying to enjoy the night. -hic-”

Yep. Everything about Elyss screamed super hot babe and then you interacted with her once and you realised that she was basically a man underneath the hot visage she had which was really annoying when they first met but he'd gotten used to it. It didn't matter though, something about this girl and wanting to attract trouble but really.

"Hey, you've already drank a whole bottle, Elyss. You need to cool it down, yeah? What are you trying to do? Wake up tomorrow in a shit state? If you go hard at the start of the night you're just wasting it stupid, you gotta learn to pace yourself."

And then, she paused. Huh? Hottie? Her? Her brain malfunctioned for a second as blurred memories of the few times she’s ever attempted to be feminine ran through her head. Each time was with some girly girl too, like Murasaki or Himiko. Ulv never tried to get her to act like a woman, but that damn brute barely acted like a woman either. Ah, shit. Her head is hurting thinking about it.

“Alasto? -hic- Ya think I ain’t a woman, huh? Everyone else thinks the same too, don’tcha think?”

Her expression faltered, her lips twitching downward as it looked as if her good mood was spoiled just like that. Losing any swagger, she slumped in her seat, looking at her scarred hands. Man. What a mess of a person she is, huh? Why did she down that bottle? Just to win some lousy game? Maybe she just wanted to quickly forget something. Alastor called her a gorilla. His insult wasn’t bad, but people are probably calling her worse stuff behind her back. Huh... Her hands are starting to multiple. The Hell?

"Man, why are you complicating it like that. Are you having a sexual crisis now? Jeez. You've got a more womanly figure than most women and twice as hot so why are you getting your panties in a bunch over it? Yeah, you act with more macho than most guys but you're still a woman unless you're actually packing in those pants and in that case, leave me out."

Guh, no way could he leave her in this place now. Last thing he needed was to ruin everyone else's atmosphere or have her lose the plot and break something. Murasaki would kill him if he needed to explain why division funding might need to go into fixing a bar.

"Right, c'mon. You need some air, shortstack. This is what you get for stupidly drowning that whole bottle."

He got up and tried to get her to come with, a sum of money on the counter to pay for the short drinking session which was not cheap with how much that bottle was.

"Anyway, why do you even care what everyone else thinks? You can beat those idiots up if they try and start shit, on the other hand it ain't fair if you're complaining about not being treated like a woman when you try and exude more testosterone than the guys."

“I am hot, but… I’m just a gorilla, Alastor!”

Falling over him like dead weight, she let herself get dragged out. She doesn't feel like drinking or fighting. She can’t think straight. Her head’s filled with melodrama. At least someone is here to support her a bit, even if he sucks at it. The air outside did help a bit though. It doesn’t magically clean up her blood system, but the cool air is nice. It brushed aside some junk clogging her brain, but it also made some of her thoughts more clear.

“Beating them up won’t fix anything. It’ll just make things worst. I’m not as cutesy as Himiko or as cool as the Captain. I’m just… a socially retarded gorilla.”

Her expression is soft, a bit shaken. She couldn’t help but stare up into the night sky, wondering about life. This was supposed to be a fun outing, but she’s here having a crisis about silly crap. Alastor probably regrets bringing her anywhere.

He cocked his head to the side while dragging her drunk little self back to the division barracks, slowly but surely and easing her whole drunken induced drama that had boiled up. On one hand, it was whatever. It was nice not dealing with her annoying bravado all the time and being reminded that she wasn't dimwitted. On the other hand, man did he hate when people dropped their issues on him. He always felt his answers really boiled down to who cares and screw what they think, just do whatever.

"If you don't wanna be a socially retarded gorilla, then change it. You telling me you can muster the will to deal with all the stupid shit people do but you can't scrap enough up to want to change and improve yourself?"

She’d mutter as she leaned more against him. Just ignore people? She’s been doing that her whole life. When did she get so off track from her original goal? How did things get so complicated? People always give her such simple advice without knowing the full picture, and it’s not like she’s not trying to grow as a person. There’s just a lot of things in her way, barriers that have to be broken. Maybe it isn’t that complicated though. Some people like her. Maybe she should just stop being confrontational or something. That won’t help that one issue she has, but maybe it’ll make those around her less worried about getting too close.

“You guys make things sound so simple. Ignore the talk, change yaself, blah blah blah. Tch… Have you ever had to change yourself, Alastor?”

Her question seems to be annoyed rambling, but it’s rather genuine. His advice was to ignore everyone, but he’s also telling her to change herself. She is drunk. It’s not safe to say she’s going to feel the same way when she’s sober. It’s not safe to say she’ll even remember this conversation. Does she really feel this bothered by everything, or is she just experiencing some emotional turmoil from drinking too much? It’s hard to say.
