One two. Three four. Repeat. One two. Three four. Her jabs are fast, each punch aimed identically to the last. All in all, this is boring. A training dummy can’t punch back, and it doesn’t allow for her to go all out. The last time she put her back into a punch, she sent the thing through a wall. That was another report she had to hear about. What sucks is the lack of combatants too. No one wants to train with her. None of them can keep up with her, and they don’t like her bluntness when it comes to fighting.

It’s whatever, honestly. It’s not like she’s a bad sparring partner. People just can’t keep up with her when she starts to get a bit excited. So what if she broke a guy’s arm one time by accident or if she broke one of the training areas during a spar?! She didn’t mean it. Maybe she should work on controlling herself more. However, she’s not going to get far by just hitting a block of wood over and over. She needs something a bit more impactful to get herself under control in a fashion that’s more effective.

Well! Now or never. Now was the time to get stronger! Hono had been hard training herself! After all, she needed to make her Captain proud after all! She was practicing her swordsmanship. She twirled her blade around a bit before she focused on her target. Swinging her Zanpakutō, at the dummy in front of her. Making some slight gashes on the surface. It definitely cut deep, though there was always one big issue, a dummy couldn't dodge or counterattack, so it was far from the best training, the pink-haired girl was laser-focused on her target! Not paying any mind to anyone else who might have been training nearby!

Hono would first slash with her blade, it struck the neck of the dummy before she followed it up with a knee! She would then kick the dummy's leg! Er... stand? Before spinning and following up with another slash at the neck of the target! Before stepping back, looking at the dummy once again, it had some slashes visible. Hono just wasn't sure what to do next. There was only so much she could do to a dummy. Annoying really! She'd never get stronger hitting some straw over and over... she needed someone strong to fight her!

“Crack!”

Whistling as it flew, the wooden blocked bounced off the ground before rolling away from its original position. Boredom really is a dangerous thing. Well, anyway, that means she can take her leave, if not for sending the block rolling a great distance, right into Hono’s dummy. Knowing that she’d get in trouble if she didn’t get the block back, Elyss left her area after it. Who’d have guessed she’d get in the way of a familiar annoying little gal flinging her sword around?

“Oh. Well, look at this. It’s… Hono.”

She almost forgot Hono’s name, but it came back to her quick enough. She hasn’t seen this gal in forever. What a coincidence that they run into each here of all places? Uh… Guess she should apologize for ruining Hono’s training session. It’s not everyday someone sends a giant block rolling at you. Keeping herself from smirking, she moved and picked up the block like it was nothing, standing the thing upright.

“You good? Sorry for the block. I’ll get it.”

Hono was quite surprised to notice. The block smash into her dummy. The Shinigami gaze quickly snapped over to Elyss, she seemed to be training up as well! Hono sighed looking at her. "Took you a bit to learn my name huh?" She rolled her eyes. Before eying Elyss up and down. "You're training as well?" However, she went silent looking as she almost effortlessly picked up the giant block. The pink-haired woman gulped before looking at her.

"You're uh... training it seems?" Slipping her blade back into its sheath. "I didn't know you were THAT strong!" She let out a chuckle. "How about you and me fight it out~" She acted confident, however, no way in hell she could beat Elyss in a fight! But that didn't stop Hono, she would give it her all regardless.

Well, it’s been a while. Expecting the name to come to her immediately isn’t fair. There’s a lot to consider with this stuff, like, did Hono change up her hairstyle or been through some changes somewhere. Well, it’s not like Hono did change anything. It’s not like Elyss even forgot the woman’s name. She just had to take a second. Anyway, besides that, it’s obvious to tell that her redheaded friend is, somewhat, enthralled with her strength. Most people just get annoyed when Elyss does stuff like this. However, Elyss is unsure if Hono knows what exactly she’s getting into.

“Uh… Well, if you want. What are you… practicing? Sword training?”

A quick look at the dummy is all she really needs to guess. Those are cuts on the poor thing. Hey. That’s good, yeah? Elyss isn’t the best at wielding her Zanpakuto. That’d even things up as long as she controls her strength. They should be able to get away with a quick spar.

Hono pulled out her Zanpacto, flourishing the blade, holding the purple hilt. Before pointing it at Elyss for a couple of seconds before slipping it back again into her sheath. Nodding her head. "Mhm, I'm gonna be the best! I gotta make my captain proud~" She smirked. Looking into Elyss' eyes. "You wanna fight!?" Her eyes glistened. "You're pretty strong sooo, I know you can be good training~ Wacking a dummy isn't gonna do anything for the both of us~" She let out a little chuckle.

"What are you training anyway Elyss?" She raised an eyebrow folding her arms curious. Why did someone as strong as her need to train?

“How are you going to be the best if I’m the best?”

A declaration of war? Maybe. Elyss isn’t about to let Hono live her fantasies that easily. Besides, a challenge is what everyone needs for that extra push. Why not be a wall that the other will have to topple eventually? It’ll only help Hono grow.

Brandishing her Zanpakuto, the blade in her hand, Elyss shrugged and took some steps back. Seeing how Hono was using her own, it’d be unfair to challenge the woman to a fist fight. It’s best to level the playing field, even by a bit.

“I’ll beat you at your own game, Hono. It’s been a while since I’ve used my Zanpakuto.”

Hono rolled her eyes. She pointed directly at Elyss cracking a smirk. "Well, I guess I'll have to knock you down a peg!" she looked up at the slightly taller woman. It seemed that Hono was ready to fight~ Hono would step backward. "Oh yeah~"

She placed her hand on the hilt of her blade, quickly drawing her blade. Rushing Elyss rather quickly! It seemed Hono was already off to fighting! She rushed towards Elyss who was only a couple of feet away. Hono would quickly go in for a slash at her abdomen. She was a bit quick, of course, she held back, not wanting to cut deep into Elyss.

Hono knew Elyss was way stronger than her... but she wasn't sure JUST how much stronger she was... It would likely be a very one-sided fight!

Hmm? From talking to attacking? Hono isn’t wasting any time. Elyss is excited to see how she’ll be taken down a peg. First, though, she shouldn’t let herself get cut so easily. With a step back, she moved out of Hono’s range, letting the sword graze her clothing rather than flesh. A perfect opportunity for a counter, Elyss reached for the handle of her own Zanpakuto and unsheathed it, using the momentum to bring it into contact with Hono’s blade and knock it aside. Nigh instantly, the redhead is dangerously close to her sparring partner, a right knee rising to greet Hono’s abdomen, and that would be that. Instead of following up further, Elyss would back away to the side after her knee landed or missed, gauging Hono’s actions and future actions afterwards.

Damn Elyss was fast, she managed to dodge Hono's attack. After missing, Hono would shift into a defensive posture! Getting ready to counterattack! However, she was quickly attacked! Her sword was knocked to the side rather quickly. Feeling Elyss' knee dig into her gut, Hono coughed before falling to her knees. "Fuck... that hurt..." she grumbled before looking up cracking a smile. "Oh~ I knew you were strong!" She rose to her feet, she wasn't nearly as strong as Elyss, but she wasn't gonna fall so easily! She gripped onto her Zanpakuto, before rushing forward once again, she wasn't as fast as last time due to being hit. She raised her sword above her head before bringing it downwards slashing at Elyss.
