Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia] - Page 3 Empty Re: Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia]

Ace took on his mask again and quickly flash stepped out of the 10 balas that were flying towards him. A very strong and powerful attack indeed. The speed is incredible too. Surely if that attack had hit without my mask on I would have perished. Ace thought has he examined the balas flying away.

He turned back only to see that the hollow had jumped into the air. That's when he felt the immense spike in spiritual pressure. He saw as the hollow began to transform into their resereccion. Her form is very menacing, to say the least. He thought and then he felt another spike in spiritual pressure. This time it rivaled that of the hollows. He turned to see the shinigami had a different look and felt much stronger. This must be his bankai. Ace thought. Better stay out of this fight. Two titans fighting each other is something that I would not want to get in between. "I see you have this under control so have fun old man. Don't go dying on us." With that said, Ace flash stepped behind a building near his shinigami friend who was still hiding. He took off his mask and began to spectate the fight from afar.

Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia] - Page 3 Empty Re: Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia]

The Arrancar was doing well to withstand Roderich's relentless attacks and a sneak attack from the newcomer, Ace. All in all it was a worthwhile spectacle, which Yogenhoshi was content to continue observing from his nook, where it was highly unlikely any other newcomers would spot him among the rubble unless they were particularly keen at sussing out spiritual presences. Ace's actions made it abundantly clear that sneak attacks were perfectly acceptable under the circumstances, and he didn't want any part of it happening to him.

As the ten Bala were released to fly errant, soaring off to impact whatever bits of building and landscape were left in Ballarat, leaving Ace unscathed but wary for the first time since arriving, Yogenhoshi decided he had better be ready to implement his growing knowledge of Kido in case worse comes to worst. Idly tapping the chipped pavement with his fingertips, his pale blue eyes shifted toward Ace... That mask didn't avail him. Is it really a worthwhile endeavor to acquire one..?

Looks like he finally figured out that running headlong into a duel, even with surprise on his side, isn't the best way to go about warfare, he thought while assessing the new turn of events; all that reiatsu surging out from their opponent was dense enough to cause some atmospheric distortion, and radiate discomfort to anyone perceptive enough to gauge the sensation trapped within, a reflection of its soul. This spiritual energy felt distinctly devoid of empathy, true to the Hollow heritage which spawned it. Small wonder Shinigami eradicated them whenever and wherever possible. The balance must be kept.

Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia] - Page 3 Empty Re: Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia]

She watched as the shinigami released his sword. He was clearly ready to go all out against her now that she had revealed her ressurecion. This was going to be an interesting fight. He had armor over his arms and he now had an interesting looking shield. Most people that had a sword and shield style of fighting found some way to incorporate their shields as part of their attacks as well so she couldn't assume it was just for defense. She looked around at the field as it was. She was focused on the shinigami as he was clearly the greater threat right now so she didn't yet notice the other shinigami hiding off to the side.

She watched him he used flashed step to her side. If he thought something like that would still touch her so easily he would be disappointed. She used her now faster sonido disappearing from inside his attacks appearing away from him above his head level. She looked around for a little bit considering her options. The shinigami was clearly the big threat but should she focus her attacks on him? She searched out the vizard and saw his hiding place. He was trying to hide off to the side. Even if she could over power the shinigami he could decide to reenter the fight then and save him. Numbers weren't on her side right now but she might be able to use it.

"You wish to defeat me but you don't think you can do it on your own? Or else why call in your help. You do not know what it takes to defeat me right now. You want me to know the power of a smile. I will show you that no such power exists."

She changed her pheromone from love to despair. It seemed appropriate since he wanted to be so joyful about the battle. She would destroy him bit by bit. She would wipe his smile off his face and replace it with pain and sadness. The first step would be to shake his confidence. When fighting many opponents taking out one of them would often cause the others to resolve to break. Besides just that she needed to make sure that the vizard would not reenter the battle when it would endanger her. He would come back into the battle how she wanted him to.

She used her sonido appearing to his right (based on my right so your left). Not the side of the shinigami as he probably expected but the side of the vizard. She doubted that he would expect her to target him so he would probably be caught off guard. Her left arm was already swinging towards his body the spikes on the back of it about to dig into his back. Once her arm connected she would launch him back into the field. The strike wouldn't kill the vizard but would definitely hurt. The shinigami would have to make a choice. Allow her to kill his vizard ally or spend some of his time and energy to try and defend him. Either way it help set him up for the despair she planned to drag him into.

When she sonidoed above him she did the absolute one thing she should not have done. Ignored him. Roderich found this curious, because through out this entire fight while they were fighting he never once pegged her as someone to choose death over life. He had not resolved to do anything more than kill her, but because she had done this it had made it easier for him to end her. Whether he liked the fact that it was easier was a different story. He liked a challenge, but in this situation he wasn't allowed the time to do so.

As she was above him he rose his Zanpakutō into the air making a sky blue aura appear around it that projected and grew, and when she appeared in front of the young Vizard she just made it worse for herself. Something that not only strengthened the resolve of his Zanpakutō's spirit, but his resolve as well is those whom targeted those who were weaker. Though he still had the same smile on his face as he always did his mission was not only to protect those who were weaker than him, but also destroy those who wished to commit evil because they had power. He now found joy in not only the fact that he would be allowed to use his full force, but that he was doing it for the reason that he would always prefer to do it for.

With a quick downward slash while she was attacking the Vizard Roderich brought down the huge sword like projection of energy upon her with a massive cutting and smashing force destroying the ground between the two. He followed this by Shunpoing behind the Vizard and lifting him up to his feet*

"Whether you like it or not you are in this fight now, so we need to work together. Unfortunately she has become a lot stronger then you so we have two choices. The first is I have a way to protect you for a long enough amount of time to where I wont have to worry about you being hurt and the second is we both go at her with a full force and end her. It is your choice, but my decision will be made within the next minute so you better decide fast."

Roderich kept an caution about him so that he would not be caught by surprise as he waited for the Vizards answer

»Ace Marx«
»Vizard[4-3]«

Right as she sonidoed her fist came flying at him. He knew that if this attack struck, he would be feeling a great amount of pain. As the punch came towards him, he began to lean away from it giving him some time to put his hand on his face. He was about to put on his mask and say a small kido to soften the blow  as a giant sword like projection came crashing down. This startled Ace as he fell to the floor due to his motion of falling backwards. Before Ace knew what had happened, he was picked up and brought to his feet by the shinigami in armor. The shinigami told him what the plan was and asked for Ace to decide of which of the plans he would want to follow through with. Ace thought for a moment and then said, " Lets go take down this bitch together." And with that he readied his Zanpakutō and awaited for whatever came next to his partner and to himself.

Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia] - Page 3 Empty Re: Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia]

The Arrancar's release, called a "resurrection" according to everything on the race he had gleaned in the Shino Academy from both history and focused training to be effective against any known threats, was impressive. Yogenhoshi had absolutely no idea what abilities it granted but he hadn't known much about her "sealed" state abilities and capability either, as he hadn't been there long.

Looks like I'll get my chance to figure out the difference, he thought, observing her evasion and charge toward the Vaizard, flickering into visibility at Ace's side with an energy-enhanced backhand. Those spikes made it a wicked thing, capable of dealing potentially fatal wounds as long as the target was a critical point of the anatomy, and it probably didn't need to land with any real power.

His hand began to rise by instinct, quickly, prepared to cast a barrier between the two. It may give away his presence, if the Arrancar was able to deduce that the spell's origin wasn't Roderich or Ace, but he wasn't about to sit by and watch an ally die to no good purpose; even if they did have a bit of Hollow in their soul. Ace's tactics thus far seemed brash and ill-conceived, but Yogenhoshi was sure he had the potential to become an ally Seireitei could rely upon in times of crisis.

As the ground split and erupted, broken apart by a huge energy blade, it became apparent that his assistance wasn't yet necessary as Roderich flash stepped to Ace's side and swept him away from the point of impact. Instead of lowering his hand, Yogenhoshi decided to cast a different sort of spell under the concealment of roiling dust clouds and flying debris caused by the tremendous impact. This would most likely leave the Arrancar on the other side, giving the two time to determine a new course of action, one that was hopefully based on ability compatibility between the two. If not, well... Yogenhoshi would participate.

Bakudo 21 - Sekienton, he thought to himself, as this spell didn't require any sort of incantation. The Red Smoke Escape was aptly named, and the blast struck the ground where Ace and Roderich had been standing a mere second after it was vacated for another, causing a swirling burst of crimson smoke which suffused the very air; lowering visibility in the immediate vicinity to absolute zero. Coordinating a screen like that should buy his allies enough time to figure things out, and it just might confuse their opponent as well... All to the good.

Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia] - Page 3 Empty Re: Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia]

She was about to make contact with the vizard when she saw that familiar blue glow of to the side. That shinigami certainly was annoying with his sword and clearly wasn't about to let her take out his ally before finishing him off. At first she didn't think she had much to worry about because before he had released his sword he would have had to get close to her to attack so she thought she could finish her strike before he made his. Then she noticed the blade coming down at an impossible length. She jumped backwards to avoid a direct blow from his glowing sword but the force of the impact still sent her flying away from them. She thought again about how it had seemed like an ability close to her own before. An increase striking force for sure but nothing like what she did. Or maybe it still wasn't that different. Perhaps there was potential for her arm charge that she hadn't thought off before. She would have to investigate that further later. First she needed to win or at least survive this fight.

She looked back at the shinigami and noticed he had moved. She looked back at the vizard expecting to see them both there but instead there was a strange red smoke. She knew that it wasn't from the dust knocked up from that sword strike because of the color. It must have been one of the fighters. The shinigami seemed to rely on his sword and hadn't shown much use of kido besides when he scared the city people so she doubted it was him. The vizard she didn't know much about so it was possible that he had created the smoke but it would have taken pretty fast reaction time from him to create it and he probably would have used something to try and soften her strike rather then a smoke screen. Another possibility was that there was yet another party to their fight. Someone else on the sidelines that hadn't made themselves known to her. She made a quick look around and didn't notice anybody obvious. They were hiding on the sidelines if they existed at all. She didn't have time to worry about them but she needed to keep her guard up regardless.

She needed a way to attack them without being able to see exactly where they were because of that smoke. She knew there general location though. The smoke might actually play out to her favor because it may keep them from defending themselves when she did attack if they didn't see it coming. She looked at her wings. One of her finest features in this form. Hundreds upon hundreds of jet black feathers each filled with a small bit of her reiatsu that could act like a small bomb. She beat her wings towards the red smoke beginning to launch a shower of feathers at it carpeting a small area. She would not have to target a specific area to hit them like this. She also began to charge her arms both of them glowing black increasing her damage and defense they gave her. They would either stay and take the attack or they would flee the smoke in which case she would use her sonido to move in and strike. She thought about it for a small bit and decided they would expect her to attack if they fleed her attack so they might use it to get her to focus on the vizard while the shinigami attacked. She would wait till the shinigami showed himself and hit him with a surprise strike and plant her claws in his chest when he showed himself, if they left the smoke.

Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia] - Page 3 Empty Re: Killing field [Ballarat] [War for Australia]

In the aftermath of his attack he realized that the smoke was thicker and more difficult to see through than it should have been. He then realized that this wasn't just dust but a kido which he had learned in the academy. Unfortunately for them all that this did was blind them to the situation outside. Though whoever cast this had good intentions they hadn't realized that this would effect them more than their enemy. It had made it so he could no longer react with his site so he had to rely on his other senses specifically his sensing energy and sound. Roderich was able to get where she was, but could not sense her attack.

As Roderich and the Vizard sat in the smoke all he could do is listen because if he did leave this smoke he would be wide open to an attack. When he heard Miraya's wings shoot off projectiles he didn't realize what was actually happening until the first few feathers hit him. He then immediately reacted by putting his shield up and sword behind it fighting through the pain of the explosions his energy projected into a barrier surrounding him and The Vizard protecting them from the remaining projectiles. Because of the explosions the smoke cleared giving a clear view between Miraya and them.

"Well that was unpleasant. Alright kid if you are ready once this barrier drops we need to go on the offensive. You cannot get too close to her now. Those arms are going to be extremely destructive and with her speed being faster than it was from what I just saw the only way we are going to win is closing the gap with being smarter than her. This is gonna be a blast"

With that same smile upon his face his barrier dropped. He positioned his shield out in front of him with his sword horizontally pointed forward with the edge faced down and the blade over the shield by about a quarter the length of the blade

"One more thing. Don't die on me."

He quickly analyzed the women's features now that she had brought out her true power. She obviously was adept at close range with the spikes on her arms and claws now sharp looking on her hands. She had the ability to fly with her wings and it seemed they did more than just make her fly they were used as a weapon as well. He had noticed earlier that her black charged arm seemed stronger so now that she has two they must both have an increased strength. The weaknesses he is going to have to exploit were going to have to be within her fighting style, choices and turning her strengths into her weaknesses. He had the means to cause severe damage to her, but his timing had to be perfect and his strategy had to be something that she could not predict. Because he could stand in air it wasn't something hard to do to fight her so he decided to give it a shot.

Roderich Flash stepped in front of Miraya with his shield and Zanpakutō glowing brightly with blue energy and started with a left backhanded bash with it's shielded side at her face using the bright light to not only increase the strength of the blow, but also impair her vision while simultaneously stabbing at her right wing shooting a inch thick and two foot long blast at the wing's base

The spikes were a surprise to Ace indeed. Luckily the shinigami had put a barrier which protected both of them. The shinigami told him what the plan was and so Ace drew his Zanpakutō and put his mask on, ready to attack. Except he didn't know what the shinigami would do. He knew that they were gonna be offensive but there really was no plan on how they were gonna be offensive. He decided that he would wait for the shinigami first. He heard what the shinigami said and was about to say something when he saw that the shinigami was studying the hollow. That's when he saw the shinigami do a shunpo and perform a combo. Ace followed the shinigami, one hand with his Zanpakutō and the other behind his back with a surprise in it. If she managed to dodge the combo, Ace would launch the surprise from his hand. The surprise was a cero and if it hit some part of her body, it would be frozen in ice. Ace was a few feet from the shinigami when he stopped and waited for the hollow to make their move.
