Stranger At The Door [Operation Demonic Incursion] Empty Stranger At The Door [Operation Demonic Incursion]

Artist: Digitalism - Song: The Pulse

The Northern Rukongai, making up one quarter of the outskirts of the Soul Society with precisely 80 districts out of the total 320, was second only to the Western Rukongai for possessing the most prosperous and wealthy population beyond the wall. Or, at least it used to the day prior to this. Now, with skies blackened and the roads stained with blood, a nightmare reigned over the Rukongai as far as the eyes could see. An army of demons rampaged through each and every district with bloodlust in their eyes. They held no mercy for the weak and defenseless inhabitants of these poor places, eager to rip into every body and shred them to pieces, leaving only a wretched mess of gore behind. There were just so many of these monsters that one of them was lucky to get more than a single kill, as the Rukongai's population simply ran out too fast. The body count was horrifyingly high already, before the Soul Society could properly react, and the outer defenses defeated. In this Northern section, the Gatekeeper was easily overwhelmed and taken hostage, as he would not cooperate and open the way into the city. That left the kill-hungry demons stuck at this door trying to smash their way through in futility. It was strange how there was no one more competent from the inside come out here to help, while still the demons only continued to kill the remaining survivors who still resisted. Perhaps it had surpassed a threshold beyond saving in their eyes; a shame. Perhaps they were hindered on their way over here. Or perhaps they were simply incompetent. Irregardless, they were late, and they paid the price in bodies.

Among the chaos, a ripple of space would tear open to unveil a break blackness beyond. It was a portal between two dimensions through which crossed a leg, and another. With glowing scarlet eyes, the First Quincy had arrived, clad in black. One look around at the desolation that was, and a dark smile spread across her face to show her perfectly white teeth. The sight was positively stimulating, causing a wild shift in the woman's aura. Onikagahi, as her dark energy was titled, surged out of her into the atmosphere like wildfire. Already her spiritual presence was booming, staggering the nearby imps that were going about their rampage. They would fall to their knees, before completely losing their strength and falling flat on the ground. It was like an intense gravity beyond what they were capable of overcoming, and it reduced them to scrabbling in the dirt. In only a matter of moments, the density of Nozomi's energy would become so great that it would begin to burn the demons and set them alight. Her mere presence would disintegrate them, rendering them into nothingness, and among it all she would merely inhale deeply as she took in their raw components. She closed her eyes and shuddered in pleasure, simply enjoying the experience that marked her arrival. But, to business—she was here on behalf of the demons; on behalf of Mana Asthavon. With one quick survey of the progress of the invasion using her Omnidou, she already knew what her plan would be. Now that the Rukongai was all but completely leveled, the next order of action was breaking down the gates. With Nozomi here, the way would be unlocked in brief time, provided there were no distractions.

As the Quincy would calm herself, her form would vanish from her original spot. Hirenkyaku would take her to the forefront of the operation, startling a pack of demons with her sudden arrival. Her clothes and her hair rippled from the rapid movement before quickly settling down in stillness. She would greet a rather staunch and powerful looking male among them by eye contact, before any of them had a chance to react. These were the leaders of the invading forces, talking among themselves angrily while their subordinates razed what was left of the various districts or mindlessly beat upon the sturdy walls of Seireitei. One among them all—he whom Nozomi would address—was superior to all others currently present. He had the final say, and speaking to anyone else would prove pointless. However, it would seem seeing an unknown human would not fancy to their tastes, as they would all suddenly react in hostility towards her. Those who had weapons drew them, while the rest either charged or began charging their powers up. Nozomi had time for no such nonsense, and with a wave of her arm she quieted all motion. Onikagahi exploded outward from her position and completely consumed them all, holding them frozen in place and disrupting their internal flow of energy. Not even their voice was granted to them, and it was as if they had suddenly been frozen in time. Nozomi clearly held all the cards here, and thus deservedly smirked. Only after it sunk in what these fools were dealing with did she release one of them. The superior general, freed from her invisible grip, tripped and clumsily fell face first onto the ground before Nozomi.

''Do not fret, demon. I am on your side,'' Her voice was playful and yet also sinister. At any moment she could break this man, and something about the way she spoke conveyed this to the once powerful-seeming being and shook him to his core. ''On the behalf of Mana Asthavon, I am here to assist you in your quest. Yet, I must ask why you are still sitting out here on your asses instead of trying to find a way into the city. That is your goal, is it not?'' After a moment, with this man still only just getting to his hands and knees on the ground, a response came through in a breathless voice, as though he could not breathe. Nozomi would kneel to get closer to him, before speaking in a softer voice. ''I'm sorry, what was that?'' Despite the question being rhetorical, and already knowing what the poor demon was going to say, she wanted to hear him answer to her. She wanted him to tell her how incompetent he was, and he did. Failing to look her in the eye, he spoke up with his useless response. ''We can't open the gate.''

She chuckled to herself and stood back up, shaking her head in disappointment. ''For all your numbers, you can't break through a simple wall. Pathetic. I'm in charge now, so if you have an issue you answer to me. If you have an idea you report it to me. You don't order your men around anymore, I do, is that understood?'' She thrust her foot onto the shoulder of the grovelling demon, conveniently pressing into a shatterpoint and causing him to crash back down to the ground. She waited for quite a long time for him to nod in submission. It brought a great degree of pleasure to the Quincy to make those once high suffer the woes of a lowly grunt. It certainly satisfied her to step all over this unfortunate being. But now as she took the reigns, it was time to move forward. She took her eyes off the pitiful whelp and looked off into the distance a bit. Among the many demonkind was one who did not belong: the Northern Rukongai's Gatekeeper. He was restrained and gagged, silently watching the proceedings in the leaders' circle. ''You're holding the Gate Guardian hostage? What is the point of that? If he isn't opening the gate for us, then he's nothing more than dead weight.'' And without hesitation she pointed her finger at him, and unleased a bolt of searing light from it into his heart. As soon as the holy arrow perforated him it would burn away at the rest of his body with an unquenchable flame until he was nothing but ash, screaming all the while. The quincy's fire would render him no more, destroying his soul for eternity as was its nature.

Not even seeming concerned with the loss, the woman would spin around on her heels and walk off towards the looming gates ahead, while finally releasing the generals from their stasis. They were left to come to terms with the sudden coup, silent and motionless, and Nozomi would allow it. If she was the only one capable of breaking into the Seireitei then so be it. Once she came to gargantuan opening she would place her hand upon the cold stone, sensing the powerful barrier that was between her and the city beyond. It was no wonder the demons' effort had proved fruitless to them, as this was an impressive defense. Still, it was nothing that could hold back Nozomi's machinations. A pulse of Onikagahi would emit from her palm and bite into the barrier. She entered a state of focus as she used her Omnidou, analyzing and deducing the various properties of the barricade. It would not take long before she'd attain full knowledge of it. And when she did, the walls would fall before her.

If nothing stepped in to stop Nozomi, hell would unleash upon Seireitei.

Ryushin Chaozu

The destruction and carnage strewn across the entirety of Soul Society was sickening. Shattered buildings, beaten and torn innocent spirits that didn't deserve this fate littered the debris of their homes spread among the streets. Why was all of this happening? What purpose did it serve? These questions never met the mind of the 4th Division captain as his presence had yet to be known. He wasn't here. The esteemed preserver had decided to head to the living world for a short break from work. Oh how his actions have served to aid the forces of evil that now plague the once beautiful Soul Society. Wouldn't he have received some kind of signal? An alert to return to the Sereitei at once to form a battle plan and counter attack the invading forces? Sadly, no. He received no such messages. In fact, he had spent the past 5 hours asleep in a shack by the beach. His purple bandanna had been pulled down from his blonde wavy hair, over his eyes and ears to block out interruptions. Any communications that had attempted to reach him either couldn't pinpoint his location precisely, or he had actually managed to sleep right on through it. Unaware of the chaos, he decided to return home of his own accord after tipping a helpful waitress.

The Captain stepped through a Senkai gate he had created to his division barracks. There, he could relax once more and hopefully run into some of his friends. The people he bashed friendly shoulders and joked around a table in the night with. They were all his family, and what he saw upon returning home sickened the man to his core. His feet stepped into dirt, rubble and blood. He turned around himself as his eyes shot towards the broken windows to see buildings scattered and bodies chewed away from their torso by demonic fangs. The sky was dead, the sun was nowhere to be seen and the ambience had been replaced by screams, roars and explosions. Hell had come to Soul Society and he had no clue he had missed it. His fist slammed into an already cracked wall, his captains haori torn to shreds on the floor across the eerie room. The building was in tact but clearly damaged. In fact, the door to his room had been blown open, his desk hurled into the far wall and a lot of blood dripping from the hallway. Without uttering a word or even giving himself enough time to think, the man vanished from the building. He darted from his barracks and shot into the courtyard. he needed to see what had attacked and why. The first thing he saw when he left though were Demons and Hollows. What a surprise. Of course it would be them causing this. They were rushing around, attacking whatever came near and since everything else had already been chewed apart, they instantly locked onto the mans presence and charged him. He however, was not one to simply let this slide. They were on his territory. His barracks. Every demon and hollow will pay for this rampage. Those that had died would be redeemed through his sword.

The first group of monsters leapt towards him, his blade already yanked from his scabbard and thrust through their skulls in the blink of an eye. His feet tapped the ground gently as his body twisted through the small crowd. His swordsmanship and movement was something to be admired as it sliced through each creature in turn like a hot knife through butter. Every swung claw or bite that would chomp down was abruptly interrupted by a blade. Blood shot into the sky, hollows disintegrated as their masks shattered from his blows but at the end of this he did not stop. Smashing his feet into the ground beneath him, he launched himself skyward and instantly relocated himself to a higher vantage point. His destination? The Northern District Gate. The gate was gigantic and could give him a decent view of his surroundings. using Shunpo, he moved himself through the air with hoho allowing his feet to breeze gently across invisible platforms. Landing gently atop the gate, hoping to not attract the attention of those nearby, he looked to the left then the right. His fears had become reality as he took everything in. This world was going to fall apart. Entire districts had been obliterated. There were monsters everywhere and not many people. In the far distance there were definitely great powers colliding. Even behind him he could feel forces struggling. From this view, he was convinced that they could not win this fight and he could only blame himself. Maybe if he was here at the start he could have done something. His abilities were needed. So many would still be alive if he had just stayed here instead of leaving to frolic on some stupid beach. Clutching his sword in his hand, he was half tempted to thrust his own blade through his chest as punishment, but refrained from doing so as he jerked himself away from the thought. People still need him out there. The Rukongai must be saved, even if the Sereitei will fall. If too many spirits die, then the balance of the worlds will be disrupted. The Hollows and Demons numbers would be way too high in comparison to the spirits here. There must be some in hiding. They must have been evacuated. There must be someone that needed to be saved!

With this second wind, he looked down towards the bottom of the gate where another group of demons had began to converge on this location. They wanted to break this gate down and invade just like those that had been transported inside the walls thanks to demonic powers. You would have expected the Sereitei to have at least stopped that from happening, but apparently they had not. The chaos and disruptions would have made moving about the Sereitei possible for even the demons. If they got in through the gate however, the number of monsters within the walls would increase dramatically. They wouldn't need any fancy tricks or portals and he could not let this happen. He didn't care about who was down below or what they were doing, he just knew he had to stop them. Swirling his sword in his hand, he yelled out to all of those nearby that could hear him.

"SO LONG AS I, RYUSHIN CHAOZU STILL STAND, SO SHALL THIS GATE!" There was a pause for just a moment before the following word was yelled out. "BAN-KAI!" His Zanpakutō was lowered to the gate, the tip of it gently stroking the structure. Then, in one swift turn, Ryushin span his body around to draw a circle beneath him. The circle would then glow abruptly, a bright purple that shone upwards to envelope him in a fabulous light. After a few moment the glow would dissipate and in it's place, Ryushin would remain but with a few alterations. His sword had become a spear with a Katana blade at the tip. Between the blade and pole was a purple scarf similar to the one he was already wearing, but the difference was that the two purple velvet ribbons around his neck and weapon were now floating independently as though they were a living entity of their own. Pulling on his weapon, he threw it above his head so that it span aggressively above his head horizontally. Reaching up, he grabbed it and stopped the weapon in it's rotation. Following this, he would slam the blade end down into the top of the gate with both hands.

"I will protect this gate. I cannot let it fall! I can't let anybody else die!" The Zanpakutō being stabbed into the wall was starting to take effect. People from all around would behind to notice that a large, bright purple square was enveloping the gate. Eventually, most of the gate would have been engulfed in this weird zone. Once Ryushin was content, he yanked his Spear from the wall and looked down over the edge. This ability was why he was so valuable and why he himself was an incredible threat. You wouldn't feel a thing from within the zone by standing in it. In fact, nothing at all would be happening. Things would just look purple. Any form of destruction on the gate would go ahead as normal. Ryushin was happy that he could at least put this down before any more harm could come to the wall. Hopefully nobody would understand what this zone actually did. Sadly, as he looked down he started to feel incredibly uneasy and it certainly wasn't vertigo getting to him. Somebody down there felt much...much more powerful than anything else nearby. Because of this, he would not drop his guard. They might have the power to break through alone. But whoever they were, would they ignore the zone or would they go right for him? He could only wait and see. Ryushin had already declared his intentions. It was quite deliberate to attract attention away from the gate and more so to him. He wasn't the type of guy to make the first move after all. if they choose to approach though, he will fight. Otherwise he will happily remain where he stands and preserve his home.

"I hope this is enough to keep them from entering."

There weren't many survivors of the Rukongai left nearby, and those who hid were swiftly being rooted out as if the demons knew exactly where to look. Disregarding of the precognition that these creatures seemed to have gained, the district was nearly devoid of souls by this point. Any arrival would be announced with fanfare by the mere contrast of their spiritual energy among the dense concentration of demons. They'd stick out like a sore thumb whether they wished it or not, and the Captain-level Shinigami that was approaching from within the walls was no exception. Nozomi did not yet deign to act against him, focusing on her more important task. She had made great progress, already almost through the hundreds of safeguards that the Seireitei had put in place. This was an impressive barrier, but Nozomi could break anything. Her crimson eyes were dead set on the defiant gate, looking beyond it with a hundred-mile stare. Her body was still, with no wind to even disturb her clothing. She appeared like a statue making no action, but all the action was taking place where the eye could not see. Someone was battling her attempts somewhere far off; no doubt the security that oversaw the Shakonmaku. However, the Quincy could only smirk as her dark energy kept gaining ground inch by inch, piercing into the essence of the barrier and searching for its heart. When found, Nozomi would shatter it and unmake the walls, paving the way into the Shinigami's grand city. It was only a matter of time.

The Captain had finally arrived, just as the woman was on the verge of wrecking the Seireitei's precious security system. He was brown-haired with oxidized paste clinging to the unkempt strands of his hair, only lazily kept together by a violet headband. Various hues of purple were a dominant theme to his visage, such as the eyes that were colored both daring and horrified, or the modest cotton outfit that barely managed to fit his unnaturally meager body. Overall, he looked incompetent for the job he was about to overtake, but appearances were deceiving as Nozomi probably looked worse off. From the get-go he announced himself, and unleashed his ultimate power. No foreplay; how interesting. He lacked the hubris his kind tended to possess. The sudden pressure that generally proceeded the unveiling of a Shinigami's Bankai was enough to pull the woman's attention halfway away from her work, albeit she was still able to progress with only half of her mind irregardless. It didn't mean she was going to lunge at the Captain because he brought out his Bankai; she was not yet given a reason to change her plans. It would take more than dramatic flourish to accomplish anything here. Sure enough though, Ryushin Chaozu—as he announced himself as—would swathe the gate in lavender light of unknown purpose. One glance at the sheen of it was enough for the Omnidou to tell her of its basic capabilities, and she pulled her hand away in frustration. While she would continue to study this unique power, she would come to realize that he had quite the convenient power for this scenario. His Zanpakutō was a sword of time, that would record a space in time and be able to restore it to that instance at will. He could not undo Nozomi's progress, but he had effectively halted it. Aggravating, since she had bigger fish to fry than this guy.

Fine. Ryushin had her attention; now he would regret that fact.

As the Shinigami overlooked the Rukongai from his elevated position on the wall, the image in front of him would begin to warp and distort, as though light was being bent by an invisible force. This was followed by a splash of color that spawned of thin air, quickly taking form. Moments later, a colossal replicate of the First Quincy was standing before him, easily towering over the wall and casting a shadow over the puny Captain. It would take little more than a few milliseconds before her crimson eyes locked onto him and she flung her massive arm out to backhand him with crippling power. She did not maintain the typical slowness of a giant, meaning her hand rocketed towards him at blurring speeds. As it swiped through the space he was in, indirect collateral forces would shatter the nearby part of the wall, just to show how weak of a state it was in right now, as well as the deadly strength this giant version of the Quincy now had. It was quite clear that this was no illusion, as her new form was just as real as everything around her. If he didn't immediately fall before Nozomi, he surely would be musing curiously about how exactly such an entity had spawned from thin air. Granted he did make it out alive, then perhaps the two could finally be acquainted. The blue-haired giant would lock her eyes down on the diminutive man give a wild smile from cheek to cheek, her pearly whites showing. Her spiritual pressure surged; overwhelming, suffocating, almost physical. The Captain didn't even hold a match to the woman's raw masses of energy. The part of the wall that had been fractured would crumble down the side like a small avalanche, just from the effects of her presence. Chaozu, given his stature, would likely not fall before her like the demons had, but he would be hard-pressed to move. Simple actions that were once automatic such as breathing and shifting the eyes, became manual efforts. Every muscle in his thin body would pay scores more than usual to so much as twitch. The gravity of the area was amplified to make movement agonizingly difficult... yet Nozomi did not seem affected in the least.

''Well look at that, somebody decided to be the hero.'' Her voice was melodic and chime-like, and yet it somehow managed to leave a sickening imprint onto those who heard it. She seemed happy among the chaos around her, enjoying greatly what he was horrified by. She may have looked like a young woman, but there was nothing innocent about her. She let out a bout of light laughter that echoed throughout the bloodied Rukongai, magnified by her giantess form. ''Noble, but pointless. If you're going to get in my way, I'm going to swat you like a fly and go back about my business. Or, you could just leave and let it be. You know... and I know... you're not going win this fight.'' She would then kneel down, impacting the ground with her knee and creating a small crater, as she leaned in close to Ryushin with her face. Her voice lowered to a whisper, and she spoke: ''In a war like this, hero is just another word for fool. Your life will be worth five minutes. As in, you'll have died to buy the Seireitei five more minutes. If that's what you want, then by all means, hold your ground. But a smart individual would flee, and fight for another day. Choose wisely, Ryushin Chaozu.''

Ryushin Chaozu

The captain of the fourth division stood firmly on his perch atop the North District gate, waiting for the enemy to make their move. His grip on his Zanpakutō was tight as any minute now he would have to enter combat. He knew that his attempts to save the gate were futile, but he had managed to contain the part of the wall that was being damaged and could save that part from crumbling entirely so long as he remained standing. However, that was the issue. Ryushins abilities created a sort of Psuedo-attention leech. When people understand what his abilities do, they target him instantly and this was no exception. The girl down below had changed her target from the wall to him, meaning she must have already managed to figure him out. Usually it takes his opponent a little while to think about it, let alone begin to attack. This girl was clearly different from your usual opponent. She was intelligent and that could become problematic. In fact, she didn't seem at all threatened by the man whatsoever. This could only send more chills down his spine as the girl suddenly changed size. The once small, distant threat was now gigantic and pretty damn close. Too close for comfort.

Ryushin looked up towards her like some kind of RPG hero trying to take on that end game boss. He couldn't help but feel weak and vulnerable as she towered over him. Her crimson eyes glowed menacingly down at him and then within an instant, she swung her arm at him with incredible force. He didn't have a great deal of time to think about what to do other than jump, and jump high. However he could feel that all around him, the forces were working to keep him in place. Jumping was not going to happen, thinking about it was wasting time and Shunpo was out of the question. The best thing he could do, was try and fight this force which certainly wasn't going to end well since she was already mid swing. She had pinned him down perfectly. With as much might as he could muster, his heavy hands yanked his Zanpakutō up in an all or nothing defence. He hoped that as he shouted he could at least try and keep himself alive. "BAKUDO 99! KIN!!!". This attempt to summon the kido however was not going to stop the swing in it's entirety as it was already in full motion. However this kido was not something to be shunned. Suddenly from out of nothingness, Black ribbons latched around Nozomi's arm and as her gigantic hand came hurtling closer, he closed his eyes, gritted his teeth and brought his blade right into the hand.

What Nozomi may notice here, is how her hand would be brought to an absolute halt followed by a short sonic boom. If she tried to move her hand any more in that direction to continue the swipe, she would be unable to do so, so long as Ryushin held his blade against the hand. Even if she tried to move it the other way, she would need to apply huge force as the Kido was continuing to wrap around the arm and keep it firmly in place. This was literally the only thing Ryushin could think of doing and it was more than likely to work, but not for long. However, his defence did not come free. He had to take the forceful impact of the attack and he certainly felt it. The ribbons he tried to place may have slowed the approach, but it was not going to stop his body from feeling a huge whiplash. Nevertheless, through this Ryushin did not move. He just stared downwards, clutching his Zanpakutō. He didn't shake, he didn't even make a sound. Not for a moment. Slowly, a smile cracked across his face which was quickly interrupted by a coughing fit, even a few splatters of blood from the shaken up organs. He then threw his head backwards and shouted again.

"AGH! DAMNIT! THAT BLOODY HURT!" He couldn't help but laugh at it however. His chuckles kept him from sinking into despair here as he knew fully well he couldn't win this fight without help. So what was the best thing he could do beyond this? "I need you to... stop moving for a bit... Bakudo 99, Kin!" Once more, another series of ribbons rapidly sprung from out of nowhere, this time to latch onto her other unused arm. The kido worked its magic rapidly, doing what it could to pin Nozomis behind her back. She probably has the strength to shatter the binding given the opportunity, but Ryushin was not going to move. He concentrated the full attention of a Captain into these bonds and she would have to break that concentration to weaken the kido.

The situation looked somewhat like a funny game of twister gone wrong. The two were in a hilarious bind. Nozomi then began to talk. She didn't exactly have much else to do at this point. She called him a hero. he couldn't help but chuckle internally as she called him that. He responded without taking any attention away from his bindings. "I wouldn't call myself a hero. I'm just a guy that has a world to protect. if I leave now, what does that make me? Would I ever be able to look at myself and be content with the fact that i ran away and let everyone that depends on me die? I am no hero. You are right. I am just a fool and nothing more. A complete idiot standing between you and the entire Sereitei. You flatter me to say I could last even five minutes. I'm shocked any of this is even working. I should probably already be dead." Ryushin looked up, right into those crimson eyes of hers. his face was stern, with no intention to back down.

"I may be a fool, but I am no coward. Even if I can hold you off for five minutes, that is five more minutes that the Gotei has to try to win. if I die just to give them that, if people manage to live their lives beyond today and the universe remains away from evils reach, then I will know I went down aiding my cause. I don't know what you are here for, or what you yourself aim to achieve but my resolve will not let me turn my back on everyone."

Ryushin would make no further moves until Nozomi reacted.

The giantess, who possessed such strength that the Spirit Reducing Stone of the great wall would fall to pieces before her might, would find her vicious strike brought to a complete halt just before it made contact with the petite Shinigami. The abbreviated incantation for Bakudo 99 was shouted in a desperate voice, launching black ribbons around the incoming limb. As the pressure of the many stone slabs attempted to curb the attack, none would succeed completely, only softening the overall damage that would be dealt. Nozomi followed through, seemingly unstoppable until it would collide with what appeared to be Ryushin's weapon. The air around her hand vibrated violently, shattering the top surface of the wall and kicking up a plume of dust and debris that momentarily concealed him from sight. Immediately, Nozomi noticed the disjuncture between the impact and her senses. She felt almost nothing from the nerves on the back of her hand, yet she could see through the smoke exactly what had happened. With her curiosity peaked, the Omnidou would pierce through the veil of falsity. To counteract the force of her strike, Ryushin had only kissed the tip of his halberd against her flesh, and all momentum disappeared. Well, no, that was not completely true. When her attack froze, she witnessed as all the kinetic energy was transferred through the Zanpakutō and into his body. It did not budge him an inch, but it did cause chaotic damage throughout his inner body. Several veins popped while a handful of organs ruptured. Despite the unacceptable cost it had taken to finally block her attack, it had occurred. With momentum gone, the Bakudo he had summoned would be able to suppress her arm, with a combined invisible pressure that was emanating from his Zanpakutō. It was obvious; Nozomi already figured out the second trick of Onzon to counter kinetic force. He continued to hold it against her skin, which seemed to be the trick to his ability. Anything his sword made contact with he could hold in place. As Nozomi's eyes continued to analyze the halberd, she could already tell that its capabilities did not hold much depth. Already it was losing its element of surprise and secrecy.

The Quincy seemed unfazed, judging by the expression on her face. She was just having a good time while Ryushin choked on his own blood, spitting blood through his teeth before he seemed to come back to himself. He would again use Bakudo 99, and Nozomi did not even react as her arms were taped behind her back alongside each other, being handcuffed. The mystical ebon ribbons constricted like a snake around her wrists, with the hundreds of tapered stones weighing them down. She just stared down at him, one eyebrow risen and a look of amusement about her. He was clearly straining already, even now. He was focusing intently on the bindings to make sure they were as uncompromising as possible, yet she would offer no resistance. He was really trying hard, outplaying himself before she would have a chance to; It really was a humorous situation. Same deal with his decision to try and block her attack when a simple Flash Step would have brought him out of the way fast enough. At this rate, it was doubtful that he would even last the five minutes she assumed a Captain could... Apparently they let anybody hold that title these days. Oh, how far the Gotei had fallen. At this point, she would lean in close and try to persuade the weakling to move out of the way. She offered him the freedom to flee while he could, to live and fight another day. It was not like his preservation technique would last that much longer against her Onikagahi anyways. The dark energy was already tampering with the field, slowly corrupting it as Nozomi continually fed it information as it came to her, finding out the machinations of it and the shatterpoints lining it. He would lose—his own inefficiency had already swung the fight out of his reach—so anyone with an adequate amount of intelligence would run. And yet... he still wanted to be the white knight.

It was so stupid.

It was such an idiotic decision that it brought her smile to falter into a frown. It was definitely in line with the other poor choices he had made thus far, but not even the people who he was trying to save would want to put their hopes in this guy. He wanted to be known as the Captain who gave the world five minutes. That is what he wanted to go down as in history. He spoke of optimistic situations in 'if's as though his actions would be the factor behind them. He truly believed by some misguided notion or moral that what he was doing was right. But... this would not supercede her primary goal. It was not of her concern to right a certain misfortune individual, especially when he opposed her. The frown vanished in a millisecond's time, probably leading Ryushin to believe it was never there to begin with, if he even noticed it in his injured state. A wry grin returned to her face and she shook her head. There was a sickening crunch of massive bones being broken, followed by flesh ripping apart. Her arms would suddenly fall right out of their sockets, hitting the ground with a loud thud and a small quake, before crumpling into a useless pile of flesh and bone and blood. The powerful Bakudo was now rendered completely useless as it secured no more than a lifeless pair of arms. The giant stood there for a moment bleeding from the empty sockets, before space began to distort around her again, just like before. The bleeding stopped, and foot by foot, new limbs would materialize in place of the old ones. They were fresh and just as real as those before them, and again there was little explanation behind how they were created. Matter just seemed to come to fruition at her will. As she imagined, it became.

''Fine, then I will carry out your death wish, Ryushin,'' she announced happily, wiggling her new fingers around as if trying on a new pair of gloves. She would bring her right hand up close and curl her fingers into a cup, imagining holding an invisible sword's grip. When satisfied, she would bring that hand back, aim for the small target, and thrust forward. Then, the weapon she surmised would appear in the middle of her attack. A perfectly straight blade, the dull edge black as night, the razor sharp edge white as day. It soared through the air without a noise and without warning, despite its enlarged size due to Nozomi's altered form. With the weapon spawning from nothingness, there was even less time for reflex in this instance. It was aimed for his stomach, but the blade was wide enough to sever his body into two halves, before continuing onward through the surface of the stone wall at an angle, almost far enough to hit the ground on the other side of it. Then, she immediately recoiled and freed the sword from its obstructions. As with her other movements, there was incredible collateral force around her moving body parts that destroyed the terrain nearby and would definitely send Ryushin (or the various pieces of Ryushin) flying away with a blast of concussive winds. Irregardless of what happened to him, the section of the wall he had been standing on would have weakened to such a point that it would crumble down and fall. A fissure cracked down the entire height and split wide open into a crevice that could be passed through. He would need to repair it, costing him more energy that he needed in order to fight her, lest he allow the demons to enter. All of this, while Nozomi's spiritual pressure continued to weigh down on him with the gravity of Jupiter.

''Let's hurry this up,'' she called out into the air without even looking in his direction now. ''I have bigger fish to fry.''

Ryushin Chaozu

Alright. No more messing around. It was time for Ryushin to put his money where is mouth was. He could spout all day about how noble he was trying to defend the Sereitei wall by himself as much as Nozomi would like to listen, but he knew that she wasn't going to let him live if he simply continued acting the way he was. He was a damn captain after all and he let that slip his mind. He was missing things. He wasn't paying attention and had even managed to forget how to even fight. Is this what happens when a captain takes a vacation? They forget how to do their job? Well Ryushin certainly did. His attitude on the situation was dire, but even in troublesome times he thinks he can handle his opponents. he wasn't going to go all out just on one target, but she has forced him to change his mind.

He watched as his Bakudo bindings were shrugged off as Nozomi removed her limbs and rematerialised them, ready to fight once more. It was honestly quite scary. Ryushin just watched and chuckled as he saw her body parts tear, then reform. No point in holding onto this Kido anymore. Instead, Ryushin moved the power he was putting into those bindings into something else. A sudden purple glow began to emanate from the ribbons as they vanished into the air, and all of it was brought back towards Ryushin as he stood there. His body was pretty badly smashed and he was fully aware of it. Well, time to fix it. He didn't need to worry about the gravity working on him here as everything fluttered through the air to him. As all this was happening, he decided to talk whilst Nozomi was rebuilding herself.

"You know, you're not far wrong. I am quite the fool. Especially since I'm quite new to this, iv'e been trying to play things cool and dramatic. I think I need to start playing this game properly. I might not be on your level, but we did agree on at least five minutes didn't we?"

The purple glow suddenly became much more ferocious as Ryushin displayed the prominent reitsu capabilities of a captain. The entire wall began to glow a vibrant purple, creating flames of reitsu that didn't entirely engulf his figure, but certainly showed that he was up to something. His mood had changed and he needed to step things up.

"I honestly thought maybe you'd be a bit more tame than this. Most give up once my abilities are in play, but you didn't and I respect that. Iv'e not been taking you seriously at all, but iv'e seen what I'm up against and now I need to show you what I can do"

The reitsu around him had been engulfing parts of his body in turn, revitalising his limbs and organs. his jittering muscles relaxed and soothed. Within moments, the vast reitsu of the 4th division captain had not only revived his own body, but had also made a similar effect on the wall it was blazing upon. The place began to reform into how it once was. Such was the reitsu of a man holding the world on his shoulders. The only issue, would be the disruption Nozomi had made below regarding the gate. That wound was not going to heal quickly, but given time even that may begin to falter.

Onto Ryushins next move, he rushed the reitsu through his body to at least give himself the strength to move his arms through the force Nozomi had placed upon him. Then, he began to do something she probably wouldn't have expected. his arms moved freely, his leg sept round and he pulled his Zanpakutō close. he then brought an arm round and lifted to his side what seemed to be a purple book. Papers that had been strung together and crudely placed into an old looking and very thick hard back shell. He let the book drop open in his hands, and the pages fluttered along without his body doing anything to make this happen. What was really going on, was a trick that Nozomi would likely recognise. The quincy ability to string oneself up like a puppet had allowed Ryushin to force his repaired muscles to fight the gravity using sheer power. The pages of the book were also played with, giving him a sort of mystical 'all powerful wizard' appearance. This was then Nozomi had made her strike. Her arm thrust forwards and brought into reality a sword that struck his location with enough force to cripple the wall badly. Ryushin however, was ready to retaliate properly this time.

The strings aiding his movement and his entire body engulfed in his own healing flames of reitsu, Ryushin repeated the steps he took to block her previous attack. His Zanpakutō swung round and slammed tip-on-tip with her blade, creating a massive blast of energy. This time would be different than the last. Ryushins body was standing firm, and the impact was spread out among his entire body as you would expect. The difference, was that his muscles, organs and skeleton were all being pumped into overdrive to withstand that attack with minimal force getting through to him. This was what he did when he wasn't underestimating his foe. He was building the fortifications to become an immovable tank and Nozomi needed to take this into account since his bite can quite easily become too much to bear if this continued. Ryushin held his book to his side, strapped to his waist by purple ribbons. The pages were flickering like crazy as though they were trying to find a specific page. The captain kept his gaze firmly on the giant before him, with a grin now placed firmly on his face. She wasn't even looking towards him. That ticked him off.

"Might want to pay attention to the fish, because he's let out the sharks"

Artist: M2U - Song: Masquerade

Again the same trick occurred, as despite her titanic strength, a simple block from the itty bitty Captain was enough to completely suspend it in place. Not unexpected however; Nozomi learned fast and did not fall for something twice in a row. He had only to use it once for its effectiveness to be rendered null against her. And now, he was allowed to counter her attack because she had planned and allowed it. When the two blades met, Nozomi would chuckle lightly to herself as he'd fallen right for the bait; hook, line, and sinker. A loud metallic ring hung in the air as the blade vibrated from the clash, yet the ring was persisting for an unnaturally long time even as it was no longer moving. It intensified to a state where its outline blurred, warping outside of its form into something else. Its reality peeled away and was substituted by something new: Starting from the tip, a double-edged blade shredded through the shell of Ahmt Alles, black with a white sheen over the edges. Instead of a hilt, however, an entire pole-length replaced the grip and extended past Nozomi's hand. As if holding the two halves together, a purple garment was tied around the center, splashed with a yellow and red pattern. It was immediately recognizable as Ryushin's own weapon, enlarged hundreds of times to match the proportions of the giantess who now wielded it. Little flakes of the weapon's old form cascaded down from the great elevation, like the discarded leaves of a tree in the fall. After all, there was a moment of silent shock to be had for the Shinigami, as now his enemy wielded his own Zanpakutō against him. This surprise would be furthered as his muscles would tighten up, the pages of his book would flutter to a stop, and even his amethyst eyes would be locked in place and forced to watch his towering opponent. He felt the familiar essence of his own energy, darkened and corrupted, rendering him little more than a statue. His own power, twisted and amplified to achieve effects even he could not. While their two blades met, the spirit of Chaozi was forced to rendezvous with a counterfeit clone of herself, sinister blue eyes, equally dark blue hair, black shirt and white skirt. Her skin was gray and shadowy, wisps of darkness clinging to her like flames. And while Ryushin's Zanpakutō spirit possessed a personality and feelings, this perverse version seemed to hold none on her blank face. This was the power of Ahmt Alles, the Copy Sword. It replicated and subverted that for Nozomi's own purposes; a terrifying ability.

The colossal quincy would release her hand from Onzen Purotekuto and step away from the weapon, yet it would still float their in complete suspension, held by an invisible force. It did not lessen the stasis field that held Ryushin one bit, and he was forced to merely watch Nozomi. She would step up to the Northern Gate, where his field currently held dominion, just admiring it for a moment. She held it in a new light, now that she completely understood it. When Onzen Purotekuto had submitted to her Copy Sword, she learned of all the secrets that came with it. Now the preservation field that Ryushin was maintaining was lined with shatterpoints she couldn't see before. Now it just looked so... fragile. Not surprising considering the complexity of the technique. He was messing with space-time here, and one mistake and rupture the reality within. One small impurity could undo everything. ''You're not actually made to fight. Captain of the Fourth Division, are you?'' The question was rhetorical, and he could not answer irregardless due to the invisible forces that held his mouth shut. Yet still she left a pause as if an answer would come. Receiving none, she continued nonchalantly. ''The Fourth Division is the Medical Relief and Janitorial squad of the Seireitei, known for being picked on by every other division of the Gotei 13. When Shinigami were assigned to the Fourth, combative prowess was the least considered of all factors going into it. Generally when a Shinigami passed through with the lowest range of score, it was the Janitorial ward of the Fourth that they would be sent to without hesitation. It gave the other squads just reason to belittle the squad, even if it was frowned upon by... the kinder of souls. There has only been one Captain of the Fourth Division who had ever truly matched up to the rest of the Captains, and that is Retsu Unohana.'' This was information Nozomi had garnered through her lifetime, as she was one of the eldest of living beings in this realm. But there was a point she was trying to get to here, now...

''While the rule was largely unspoken, the Captain Commander has always maintained the role of the Fourth Division's Captain: Stay back, do not fight unless no other option presents itself. Save lives, do not end them. The Fourth Division supports the rest, and if they risk their lives in battle then there will be nobody to save them in their own stead. And yet... you, Ryushin Chaozu, have defied that. You've chosen to come all the way out here and risk protecting this gate by fighting against me. The demons behind me have only continued to slaughter the rest of this Rukongai's survivors and by this time I imagine they are all dead. This is quickly becoming the case for hundreds more districts, and in many places throughout the Seireitei. You are a support, and you tried to fight someone like me head on, which is why you have failed as a Captain.'' She said all this still without looking at him, as she was far too focused on the gate. With a deep breath she cocked her fist back and unleashed it forward into the barrier, smashing it down in one mighty blow, unleashing a loud cacophony of stone and wood shattering to pieces for miles around. The preservation field followed likewise, being obliterated by her attack and the power of Onikagahi simultaneously, until it dissipated into nothingness. As Nozomi pulled her fist back, what was left was a massive hole that unveiled the path to the Court of Pure Souls, bringing about a chorus of whoops and shouts from the demon army behind her. As they began to rush toward the newly-built entrance, Nozomi tread back toward Ryushin with a sad smile of disappointment on her face, before quickly shifting toward a sinister smirk; it was impossible to read her.

''I don't know what you were thinking. I don't know if you were thinking, to be honest. I admire that you buckled down and tried to prove you were better than this, but the moment you decided to fight me alone instead of doing your job, you condemned yourself. Now that your barrier is gone, there's only one thing left for me to take care of.'' A knowing look came upon her face; she closed her eyes, and her form began to ripple and fade. The giant, as though it had been nothing more than a figment of Ryushin's imagination, vanished into thin air. At first it seemed as though nothing would happen. But he'd sense the sudden dispersal of energy, something approximate to a flash step, as a presence appeared behind him. With the tap of her foot she announced herself to him, back to her normal size once more. She was a little more than an arm's length away from him, facing him with an arm outstretched in his direction. The gargantuan Onzon Purotekuto still remained in mid-air, captivating his body into a still state. Nozomi spoke, but compared to the voice of the giant, it was almost a whisper to him. ''Perhaps, next time, you'll learn that perhaps... fleeing is the right option. Or rather, something else you may have previously thought as dishonorable. Nonetheless, your choices have been made, and your fate decided. See you on the other side, Ryushin.'' Odd... considering she was about to shoot him, but nevermind that.

Without a second's more hesitation, a bright white bolt dispersed from her fingers, blasting straight through the back of his head and eradicating all thought of his. He would be consumed by darkness for an endless instant, briefly hearing a feminine scream somewhere nearby, before it all stopped.

And then, he awoke the next morning.

Ryushin Chaozu

"shit..."

Ryushin hadn't predicted this move. In fact, he fell for her trap so easily that it pained him to accept his fault. As his blade connected with hers, he could see that his trusty Zanpakutō was being copied. Nozomi had taken his form, and also the powers that accompanied it. However not only that, but she had also twisted everything about it. The force was no longer stopped from direction of the swing. His entire body was under the effects of her twisted magic that was making him immovable. He couldn't shift a single muscle. Even the strings he had used to move himself through the gravity were completely nullified by his own traits. What a predicament to fall into. He couldn't even talk. It gave her the perfect advantage that he had no hope of climbing out of. He could only think his responses to her statements.

No, he wasn't following orders. He was being insane. Selfish. He was trying to be the hero he wasn't and this was the outcome he was given. It was quite sad really. He was late because his own stupid laziness. Now, he was going to see the end of his own life because he chose not to run. Why did the man do such things? Was it really to protect his home? Was he really just still an immature child in over his head? You can't really blame him. When you have so much to prove, you'd want to jump at any opportunity you got. This was just a fight he shouldn't have gotten involved in.

Such a shameful waste.

Ryushin couldn't turn to see Nozomi appearing behind him. His eyes were locked forwards where he last placed them. The way she was talking to him didn't come across as your usual villainous type anymore. She was clearly disappointed but wanted to give him a chance. It was like she actually felt bad doing this. He wasn't the type of guy to let others look down on him like that though. He wanted to show he was capable. Though now he knew he wasn't. There are too many terrors in this world that he had bot been prepared to face. He almost wanted to just let this all slip by like a bad dream. In fact, he was convinced by it. He just accepted his fate, letting his thoughts trail into emptiness. Then as Nozomi finished speaking, she ended his short reign.

Boom.

The only thing Ryushin could make out as he came into contact with Nozomi's attack was the flashing image of a red haired girl, his Zanpakutō's spirit, laying face first in the dirt as he soon followed.

Ryushin will has been moved out of the area through nozomi's attack. He can no longer be influenced in this thread. His destination is unknown.

Stranger At The Door [Operation Demonic Incursion] Empty Re: Stranger At The Door [Operation Demonic Incursion]

Fri May 23, 2014 11:55 am

This day was much like any other, Kenpachi Zaraki, the revered and feared Ex-Captain of the 11th Division sat against a solid brick wall while hes Zanpakutō rested against his shoulder. To say he fought on daily bases after his sudden departure from the Gotei 13, he’s Captain Attire seemed rather pristine. The man had no idea where he was, the sun began rising from behind the horizon while Yachiru ¬lay against his chest, sleeping. Momentarily, Zaraki closed his eyes, only to dose off to sleep; he was resting and sat there out of sheer boredom. Every competent fighter this district offered lost against the feared man, his strength was unparalleled; he had heard a lot about the new Captain of the 11th Division, it was apparent that she would make for a suitable opponent for the previous Captain. Zaraki didn’t have much of an opinion on the girl, from what he had heard she hadn’t been tarnishing the name of the Kenpachi so he had no real reason to fight her, yet. The Captains of the Gotei grew weak, it was the primary reason to his departure; he never faced a suitable challenge in his respective organization and thus sought out something more blood pumping.

The sun slowly began to set on him as it peaked at mid-day. Zaraki slowly opened his eyes as he felt a tug against the left side of his Haori; as he opened his black, vicious eyes, he turned his head toward the general location. His eyes began to slowly adjust to the light from the sun, as a fairly lanky shadow towered into the alleyway, “Kenny… this scary puppy is following me… Its cute, but it won’t let me pull its cheeks without trying to bite me…” Zarakis attention turned to the new arrival who was promptly accompanied by two other rabid individuals. Initially the Kenpachis spiritual pressure was toned down, in order to accommodate the nearby individuals. Since he departed from the Seireitei, he has had to constantly adjust his spiritual presence as not everyone was capable of coping with the level of raw power that he naturally released.

Personally, Zaraki didn’t care for the weak, lazy and annoying demons; fighting with crap wasn’t really his style and so he decided to let the goons of the Gotei handle the ones that were too petrified to step to the Kenpachi. The demonic trio began to near, additional individuals began to follow; the foul aroma of rotten flesh began nearing while Yachiru subtly squeezed her nostrils whereas Zaraki rose to his feet. There was something about him that almost instantly instilled fear into his opponents; it may have been the appearance or the general ambience he created with his presence. With his staggering height, he almost instantly towered over the top of the foes that froze in their tracks. The shadow that cast down upon them was more demonic than their own; he was well aware that these pests were Demons but what so many of them were doing in Rukongai baffled him.

The sound of the bells that were strapped to his hair echoed into the alley way as the Kenpachi took one parallel swing toward the foes before him; the energy behind the swing shattered the neighboring houses while Yachiru hopped up and onto his shoulder. The duo were inseparable and regardless of the situation he wouldn’t allow for a harm to come to her; she was a competent shinigami but in his eyes she was his family and one person that truly understands the Kenpachis ideals. A sinister smirk began crawling across his face as his demonic power exploded into the region creating almost an earth quake in the surrounding area; he began walking toward the first few that dared to stand in his way, his blade from right to left on two different occasions, effortlessly butchering the fodder he was presented with. As he made his way out of the alleyway, he sprung forward, running his blade through roughly a hundred demons prior to coming to a prompt halt… his spiritual presence vanished. Shinigami were approaching from all corners of Rukongai in an attempt to fend off the attackers, not wanting to be dragged into the thought provoking work he decided to move on.

Yachiru, slowly tapped on Zarakis shoulder prior to pointing toward the Seireitei gates, “Someone strong, Kenny.” she insisted that someone strong was nearby, even though he couldn’t feel a thing he turned toward the gate and shot forward in a rapid linear trajectory. He enjoyed a good fight and as entertaining it was to see the weak demons being struck down like useless pests that they are, he wanted someone serious to toy with. Over the past year, the Kenpachi kept to his devices; beating the strongest that Rukongai had to offer while distancing himself from the Seireitei however the constant disappointment of weak opponents made him very irritable. He didn’t know what was happening but he sure as hell wasn’t going to miss the fun.

His psychotic smirk said it all, his eyes narrowed in two individual’s afar, surrounded by swarms of demons. Yachiru pointed toward the women who struck the wall of the Seireitei and demolished it in seconds; it didn’t bother him as much as these pests did. The first of the individuals afar appeared to be a female, but she must have had some raw power in order to effortlessly shatter the walls of the Seireitei almost as if it was nothing but plain concrete… As he neared, the demons cheered and began making their way toward the Seireitei while the women approached a man who appeared to be a Captain; his eyes narrowed on the man who seemed to just stand there like some moronic log. In that instant, his smirk grew bigger while Yachiru hopped off his shoulder in order to watch from a nearby building. The bond the duo shared allowed them to communicate without speech, it was almost blatant what Zaraki was going to do and so Yachiru moved without a question; he tensed while his blade shook vigorously out of excitement then in that instant, he released a small ‘Huh’ and performing a flash step toward the struck Captains right.

As the Kenpachi re-appeared, he moved his blade down at the womens shoulder; the right side to be specific. As he attacked, only the sound of his bells would establish his presence while he aimed to severe the whole arm from the shoulder joint. The sound of those bells made the fights ever so interesting; over the years the bells had become revered, almost every race was aware of the fear instilling bells of Kenpachi Zaraki. The power in the attack was catastrophic; it was no myth that the Kenpachi had untamed power, but he was simply warming up with his initial attack. His intentions were clear, if the woman was strong enough to end a pathetic Captain then she may have been an entertaining opponent; the jiggered edges of his Zanpakutō would rip through her flesh and bone with ease upon contact.

Stranger At The Door [Operation Demonic Incursion] Dafoietogi_zps72554cd1

The order was given, it was time to begin the counter offensive. The Head Captain had requested she begin the attack by going out to clear the those outside. The inside was under control as far as the Head Captain seemed concerned. Soi Fong ran her arms behind her before vanishing with an extremely fast Shunpo, striking one hundred people in a flash sending them flying every direction. She continued moving through the area, taking down the enemies who got in her way with little effort. She wore a serious expression on her face for now, sometimes letting a cat like grin come across her lips. She found a leader of one company drawing closer to the man Zaraki. She used her speed to land on the tip of his fist before kicking him square in the jaw. Performing a flip backwards taking out several others. Why that man never bothered to conceal himself and simply take out an enemy was beyond her, he had all the tools to simply eliminate the enemy and move on. What it came down to was the two were oil and water.

Zaraki didn't seem know every person with half a brain would head towards him. Soi Fong decided these people over extending needed a lesson. She moved her frame around once again doing a swift combination of hakuda moves going through the enemies. She used her incredible speed to move through these people, she'd yet to draw her lethal Zanpakutō. She would of rather worked with her hands, she felt herself drawing closer to the base of the soon clash, she finally came through to the area. Having taken out over half the enemy forces within this area that attempted to come in. She landed several feet away from the situation, well out of range she was behind Zaraki himself. She looked on now, her eyes focusing in on the person of interest. Her vision shifting to Zaraki, he had the chance to kill her and yet threw it away for a simple non fatal injury. Soi Fong scoffed somewhat at that choice, she believed in killing without mercy not giving a chance after all. What was the point in giving the enemy a chance to do such things. And those blasted bells, he wore things to practically say hey right here stupid.

"What a wasted chance." Zaraki knew what she meant, well if it had been her. She would of gone into Shikai and hidden her reiatsu to attack the female from behind. Taking advantage of the confusion of the previous Captain's ordeal and striking the same location with her Zanpakutō in two quick precise attacks. Soi Fong, was merely watching for openings and if Nozomi provided one she'd see that Soi Fong would still attack. Her eyes watching like a cats almost, their was something very focused about her. She was much like her mentor, but this situation called for a more serious nature. She'd go see Lady Yoruichi afterwards, such happy and blessed events were important. But for now it was best to focus on openings and provided weaknesses of the enemy. The Fourth Division Captain of the current group seemed to be missing now, her orbs looked over the scene slowly.

She felt similar to a quincy but something did feel slightly off with that. Her eyes scanned her, judging by the scene and how the woman's energy felt. She could conclude that this one was part Quincy to a degree, she was quite familiar with them. Due to the rarity of their kind, she was a rather impressively gifted one as well. Which was partly why she was frustrated with Zaraki for wasting a chance like that. If she knew this bone headed male he'd argue to have all his fights be one on one. She didn't have time for his way of thinking, besides she had her orders. But fighting Zaraki to accomplish the task of eliminating the enemies was not going to be the answer. Her focus was extremely set now find an opening on Nozomi and kill her, that was the goal all the enemies would die here today. She in some regards liked this newer Captain Commander as he followed the same ideals as she did. But would she show such things, no her orbs remained solidly placed on Nozomi for the battle to begin.
