His eyes remained focused even when they brought him in here. He disliked doctors offices especially when he was being wheeled in. Qiang had gotten strong sure, but now the new shroud or whatever you wanted to call it. That was a problem of its own as it seemed to consume things for later use. He learned so far from his silent time while they poked and prodded him. They weren't exactly forthcoming with the information of what they were doing. Glowing hands and rubber gloves among other things. Sure he had a nasty cut on his chest from that giant man's sword. But it didn't require all of this drama did it. And Yusuke said he'd not find his way here. He was sure karma decided to give him a break, his hands were damaged a bit also. This was indeed a problem he'd not thought about. The man's strength and raw power were exceptional in its own way. He'd thought progress and perhaps some sort of method to the madness had been made. But in the end, the only truth was that he'd begun to discover how helpless he was.

The trial of all leaders it seemed, destined to fail every time they tried to succeed. Warrior's who lost in some cultures had to commit suicide. This was close enough in his mind, being medically treated and tested on like a furry bunny. He thought his people were overly obsessed with magic and healing. But this place took it to a whole new level when they did it. They had people in beds and wounded lying there being taken care of. He deactivated the shroud, for now, this was easier to control from the other one. But he'd not be able to unlock it's full power anytime soon. His scythe was different also, instead of being big and noticeable. It was inside his body now or that shroud like thing. What all could he reap with his power. That was the main question that had to be asked. His head laid back on a pillow much too comfortable to sleep on. He'd had better luck resting on a pile of rocks. Not exactly how he thought he'd find his way to the Seireitei place.

Carted in like some prize hunt waiting for them to do something. They put strange cuffs on him of some kind. They claimed him to be some manner of being known as a Ryoka. It was a strange word to use for a guest. The cuffs didn't really do much, but clash with his outfit and attire. Oh, and they itched a bit for him. But at the moment they didn't do much to him. Though his Shroud had done something without him knowing it. It had reaped the powers of the strange stone and cuffs. Making them ineffective against him and a bit useless in this case. He sensed that the scythe had been taking things on its own for a while. Trouble was Qiang didn't really have any idea how to work it or use it then or now. What he needed was someone sturdy and capable to test this on. After all, it wasn't like he'd not get a chance at this entire thing again. Circumstances being where they were he was currently behaving himself like a good guest. Though he wished they'd get his title right and stop calling him a ryoka.

He didn't wear the shiny crown at home because it looked pretty. Or because of a popularity contest of some sort. Or perhaps Ryoka was their way of saying King in this country. Mirja spoke a strange language perhaps they did as well.

4th division was boring. They were all flashy and zappy and ran around like headless chickens being chased by a small version of Godzilla. Probably Minorspiritzilla. Or something to that effect. They certainly didn't seem to have an idea where they were going until they had already gotten there. And despite numerous checkups by these people, they had no idea in the slightest how to help her. Which sucked. The only Captain Mirja had ever managed to be amazed about was Unohana. She was terrifying, and really good at healing, she made the best nurse. And was so friendly when Mirja offered her a cute nurse's uniform. It was just politely declined and that was that. Somewhere in her life, Unohana must have learned a great deal if she could just take Mirja's antics in her stride.

Still, there was something up right now, and it wasn't just the chicken people running around. She smelled something familiar, and so directed her wheelchair in that direction. It was a smell like something she had smelled previously and was pretty happy to do the smelly smell. If she had to put her finger on something and say it smelled like that, she'd say it smelled like....

"Qiang!" The Wolf exclaimed, beaming broadly as she saw her friend. And then stopped. Wait, why was Qiang in the 4th squad barracks? So she rolled over to him, and stared at him, with her tail swishing behind her, and the chair making little noise. "So, why are you here? This place is generally for people that got hurt, and or were an idiot. You, don't really strike me as the second kind of person, which must mean you are the first kind. So what kind of thing stuff gave you the hurting?"

His eyes blinked a couple times as he brought his cuffed hands upright. Waving at Mirja as he smiled almost innocently and absent-mindedly. The special stone cuffs on his wrists seemed like trinkets to him. "Ah, Mirja finally a familiar face. I got lost and ran into this guy with bells and kind of died. But he unlocked one of my power so I came back..And I guess it worried them..What's a Ryoka, is that like a King or something?" He said blinking at her as the term didn't really exist within the Sugiura World. In truth, it didn't really make much sense to him at all. He found the place a lot of bandages could be seen around his torso. He frowned at the mention of this being a place for wounded. He guessed these jewelry accessories weren't for a fashion statement. Around his hands were also bandages from where his first struck that man. His skin was like iron and something else entirely. It wasn't something he could define easily as he laid back into his pillow. The King of the East was certainly putting a reputation out.

Two defeats from the same place with little time to recover in between. Politics were a nightmare it seemed in their own ways. But one thing did strike him from this all. He needed to train not with all his weapons but one of them. He was currently little more than a fancy trick for his people. That needed to evolve and change with some form of speed. His first wasn't heavy enough this time to reach the man with the bells. But perhaps in the future, they would send him flying. He could feel it inside of him now moving around ready to emerge. He'd essentially became the blade now. The scythe he once wielded was able to emerge from his body. Not just one of them but several if desired. This was a strange thing to notice given his situation. He didn't feel dejected but more excited about the prospect of training. It was hard to train with no goal in sight. It wasn't like his Kingdom could just recover and eventually jump. They weren't ready to step into someone else's trouble.

But the air here was certainly tense for some reason. He could sense it, he sighed and looked at Mirja. "Mind if I remove these?" He said gesturing to the cuffs on his wrists. He waited for her to respond before doing anything. It was a strange wooden cuff, but it wasn't much really. With a motion, his hands slipped free entirely of them. He set them on the bed. Moving his wrists around as he smiled a bit. Some of his tricks did pay off a bit, magician's used to performing escapes from these sort of things. Though they just picked the lock and didn't do anything like he did. He was more mystical then it was that sort of deal. His eyes checked his tattoos noticing they remained undamaged. Well wasn't that guy just a regular Betty White, just letting him off with a fatal injury away from the tattoos. He'd need to do something he'd not done in a while. Locate a mentor and begin working on skills he lacked as of present. To be a Good King he needed to grow more so his nomadic people could become more.

Mirja realized that she was in a wheelchair, in a hospital. So there was nothing wierd about it. So Li wasn't going to comment on it. Which was good, maybe she should stay in the hospital forever, became part of the squad and then laugh at people who got injured fighting Kenpachi Zaraki. But why did he run into that guy? And as enthusiastic as Zaraki was for a fight, he wasn't one to just randomly attack Sugarians that appeared in the Seireitei. They were the Gotei Friends, after all and even Zaraki had a little bit of restraint about him. But Li did also get lost.

"How did you get lost? I drew you a magnificent map that would take you directly to the the Embassy so you could do say hi, how are you, I'm Li Qiang The King. Let me wander around. And then they would let you wander around. But no, you got lost, and ran into Zaraki. Who then killed you. And then you got arrested and put here. If there is one good point about it, it is that if you can hear Zaraki's bells, it means you are strong enough to actually beat him" Mirja gave him thumbs and a grin.

"Also no, Ryoka means intruder, or invader. Catchall term for everyone that comes here without going to the embassy to announce themselves. Which means you are making me do paperwork, Li! How can you be so cruel to a wolf? I thought we were friends" Mirja's exclaimation made it clear that she did not like doing anything remotely resembling paperwork. And so she turned from him to go off and do it. "Also, no. Best keep the handcuffs on. If they see you walking around, you'll get killed again. And I doubt your cheat death power words twice" luckily, she didn't see him just take them off without even waiting for her response. That would have been bad for him.

He sighed looking at the shackles as they were uncomfortable. But nothing he could do about this already blooming international incident. "I should have mentioned this, I am not familiar with the language you were speaking. Yusuke's better at things like this..But I thought it would be rude to send my brother in my steed. Also, my sense of direction is a bit..lacking. " He said softly commenting on what she said as he laid his head back on the pillow. This was a problem that he couldn't really define well. His eyes looked upward at the ceiling a couple things were bothering him. That sword style Zaraki fought with was interesting, maybe he could do something with it. He didn't wield a katana himself really. He was familiar with the weapon, he wasn't truly a swordsman. He used many weapons but blades like that. He felt a desire for the first time to do something. His people were behind the curve on this place. The Eastern Sugiura who prided themselves as warriors. He could now see they were the weakest of the three.

But this wasn't the time for sad eyes or sorrow. "Just so you know, I can't turn this off. I'm stuck in Death's Tarot phase." He said softly acknowledging he lacked control. As a black and green energy showed slightly around his hands. It seemed almost like a miasma flowing around his body."When they are first unlocked I can never control them. " So that was their term for an intruder of sorts. This was an interesting situation to run aground of really. Qiang's gaze left the female as she left. Mentioning paperwork, he'd make it up to her later. For now, he needed to find the Tarot which used that sword. One of them must have used a weapon like that. He glanced at his hands thinking calmly. Something like that one of these blasted Tarots had to use something. He wanted that sword in his tools, perhaps it wasn't to be so simple. Qiang needed an answer to this burning question. He could hear the bells and react to Zaraki if only barely. He couldn't damage that monster with anything he tried to do.

As for his Kingdom, he knew what they had to do, something that none in their Kingdom's had tried. To go and make peace with the Wild Lands of the South. Show them the might they held and make them join forces with them. Easier said than done at the moment. Kamui was by far the strongest among them presently. This wasn't nearly enough to make them join this world truly. It was a big place and the only way to truly grow and prosper among them. It was to fight and lose battles like he'd just done. Death's Scythe was different now, he could feel the changes to the weapon. Aside from it not being present here and residing inside his body. The Reaping function was also strange, he'd taken some form of spells they'd used to heal him. He wasn't exactly sure how they functioned or what they did. He didn't really understand this power all that well yet. It wasn't straightforward as Balmung was either.

Mirja shook her head dramatically. These royals were terrifying people. Li would rather storm in here with a terrible sense of direction and no ability to actually read the map than send someone to get him a clearer picture of the place and herald his coming before arriving. So instead he just threw himself head long into the Seireitei and got killed by Zaraki. Honestly....

"Well of course you can't control it. If everyone could control their powers right off, the entire Seireitei would be filled with people waving around their Bankai. Things to take a while to master, you know" She quipped off-handedly before leaving him in the hospital. Not that he had to stay there, he had escaped his cuffs, after all. Having been irritated by Li's lack of sense when it came to an entirely new realm of millitant people, Mirja let him stew there for a few hours, dragging out actually doing the paperwork until he had had sufficent time to think of what he did wrong and create the sufficent apology.

With everything worked out, she headed back to the hospital to get him released and to bask in his apology. Not that there was any need for him to be there, of course. Unknown to Mirja, he had slipped out of the cuffs and was entirely free to go where he wanted without those stopping him. So when she returned to the hospital and entered his room, there was no garantee that he would actually be there. Which would have annoyed Mirja, had she known about the possibility

Qiang had many things to consider about the situation at hand. Something needed to change but first, he needed to learn about the new one. Samael's Judgment was the name of the weapon. But the way it worked was entirely different from others. It rested inside his body and was able to emerge in different forms and types. It wasn't bound by a singular appearance or form. Then there was its power which he'd had time to stew on. He'd put the cuffs back on himself after Mirja asked him too. It wasn't too big a hassle. Besides, it gave him time to consider something. His normal attitude wouldn't work any further here. This situation required something he didn't have a large amount of. Tact and skilled approach among other things. So if you lacked them it was best to obtain them as quickly as possible. Qiang's expression lacked its normal carefree nature. The trouble of this matter still was on his mind from different angles. One couldn't simply acknowledge this as a mere passing chance. Kenpachi Zaraki, a terrifying man indeed.

He blinked as he thought about it, the answer was clear. Mastering the Tarots was a must in this situation. But something more was needed for this to begin. He needed to push past his limits and find a weapon similar to Zaraki's. He needed something to shatter the limitations that existed. Something beyond it all and felt like something within the Shroud existed. It was different from the other powers and held an ominous feeling. He closed his eyes sitting upright at the moment with his cuffs on still. He was meditating and working on controlling his inner strength. His fist couldn't reach him yet, even if it did. The weight wasn't there yet of what was needed. He was but a child running around playing at King. It was time to do what he needed to do. He controlled his breathing now as he maintained his focus. At present strength he could not be a King. He was more like a squire at the moment. What did it mean to rule a country and be a King? Did it mean regal meetings and being confident of everything?

What was the meaning of a leader and a ruler of a Country. Did they play a part in the large scheme and remain political? These questions were ones that couldn't be ignored without further investigation. He couldn't go out on strolls anymore without reason or continue down this road. It was time for him to grow up and accept what came. This was a natural selection of sorts. Something that came from experience and time as a ruler. Nomadic principal and honor aside, they weren't ready to even be called allies with a Country yet. Qiang would need to find his answer soon. They couldn't afford to be swallowed by the darkness of this world. The Kingdom's normally waited for some sign of agreement. But perhaps it was time for him to move as his will desired. move for the best outcome of the Eastern Kingdom. It was time for the Sugiura to begin joining the society. They couldn't step into battlefields or truly understand the circumstances.

But for now, he'd be a quiet representative and find the answer that could satisfy him and protect his people.
