The simplest way to put Calypso's emotions upon hearing 'Hot-Bitch' as a descriptor for her mother was... Her wanderlust quickly extinguishing, her previously sparkling, amazed expression, deadpanning in the reflection of the glass. It was just a... Very very odd way to refer to such a woman, Calypso had never thought of her in such a light, despite seeing Algos in a hot-under-the-collar kind of way, but it ws more out of intensive love than lust, but Mama? She couldn't see Mama like that, but... She still did love her, right? Even if their world was falling apart because of her..

"Y-yes.. Mama i-is my... Mama."

Her reply was dry and somewhat weak, like she had just puked and lost her appetite, not that she had one for food anyway. Thankfully the subject was veered off her mother, even if it wasn't spoken with animosity or hatred. She still didn't doubt that he didn't want a stab at her in some way or another, but at least he didn't have some burning anger towards the entirety of her race, or just the Asthavons... Good thing many didn't really jump to kill her because of her lineage.

Calmly walking back to Alex, she looked up at him, a questioning look in her innocent eyes, "Well, if this place doesn't excite you, what does, no matter how many times you go there? Has to be somewhere, right?"

She put a hand to her chin, her head tilting to the side as she stared probingly at him, "If you don't currently have one, maybe it just means you haven't found that special place yet."

Alex hadn't expected a relation that close, especially since, to his knowledge, demons were just getting' around like rabbits and shit. But still, that was sorta cool. Part of him did admittedly want to just beat Calypso up for even being that closely related to Mana, but there were a few reasons he didn't. Chief among them was that he just wasn't really in the mood, but he also didn't really feel like losing his in at this restaurant. Of course, his not being in the mood to beat someone up was odd in itself. Maybe he was getting sick.

Deciding that the kid seemed not to want to talk about all that, Alex did what he always did when he wanted to switch the topic of conversation; he just pretended the conversation was over now and moved right to the next topic. It rarely steered him wrong, probably because most people just didn't want to actually confront him about it.

“Not quite yet. Seen a few places I liked. Some waterfalls down in South America, I like the snacks over in Japan. But, I dunno. I've been all around the world by now. Somethin' tells me it's not about a place at this point.”

Calypso bit her lip as she sensed the man's emotions, some underlying desires to harm, however were overshadowed by.. Something else. She felt internal relief as it seemed he didn't seem interested in following through with such feelings, and such emotions weren't deeply personal.. Thank goodness. Though, the girl's face would noticeably sour from her passive reading of his emotions, but would quickly return to normal as she listened to him speak about not really having a special place,

"..Well it's impossible to have seen everything, even if you have, there's worlds upon worlds! For all we know that place might not even be on Earth! But.. Okay.. Okay."

The young demon simmered down, chuckling gently, "..So like, you wanna stick around here and actually sit, or go do something else, or.. What~?"
