ERCHANHARDT BURGSTALLER
"Yes, I should hope you would."
Being the slowest of the three by a fairly wide margin, Erchanhardt could not exactly rocket out to sea as quickly as his students. He could have made his own attempt to match them, but such things would, at most, just make him look foolish. Instead the Duke simply walked into the water, as anyone would, and began his own swim, a technically perfect freestyle. He would catch up, certainly, and while his speed on land might have been one thing, all typical rules of speed tended to fall by the wayside in the water.
Hopefully, anyway.

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
The group seemed to blatantly ignore Saisei. Micaiah's attempt at what was a joke seemed pretty terrible. While he found it pretty silly, both the little kitty and the Old Man seemed used to the antics. Raising a hand to object any real kind of 'learning' the girl had for him, the young boy was adamant in getting his point across.
"What kinda silly lil' joke w-"
Before he could even finish his words, Saisei crumpled almost immediately. The beach was quickly stretching away from him, his eyes now filling with blue waves and a bright sky. Not just that, the floatie that was secured around his waist was, in fact, no longer secure.
"What would ever make you think throwing someone with a floatie attached to them in to the ocean was a good i-"
Cut off again, Saisei's mouth quickly filled with water as he struggled to keep his head above water. Floaties were meant to keep you alive in this situation. He couldn't help think to himself, Where has my bad boy gone? Grasping at thin air, the young child expected his life to end in just mere moments.
What did the Karakura native do to drown to death in Europe, of all places?

MICAIAH KHSHESH
Micaiah swam faster per Yugiri's goading, though not quick enough to catch up to the speeding cat. Various curses flew through her mind before arriving to the boy, currently struggling to stay afloat. She went underneath and pushed him up for a few moments, enough hopefully for him to actually breath, before actually pulling him down underneath so that he could make eye contact with her.
Once there, Micaiah started making exaggerated movements to demonstrate some swimming technique before bringing her hand for a thumbs up, and a quick head-nod.

ERCHANHARDT BURGSTALLER
Well, thankfully, Erchanhardt managed to catch up to the two in no time, though that was presumably at least in part because of the fact that they were simply underwater at present. He was willing to trust Micaiah at least for now, though as he arrived at the spot in the water marked by the cat floating above it, the Duke poked his head under the water for a moment to see whether or not the young man had any grasp on what was occurring.
It was hard to tell for sure, but Micaiah seemed to be teaching him. If worst came to worst, he would swim down to save the young man from whatever fate he might have met. Taking a moment to speak with Yugiri without the other two able to hear, Erchanhardt looked up to her as he ran a single hand through his hair, sweeping it back and out of the way again.
"Do you intend to change back when we reach America? I imagine there might be some things better enjoyed on two legs."

Kitty Cat Yugirin
Hmm. This was inhumane by ethical standards but most nobility wouldn't consider their serfs health or wellbeing. In this case Yugiri was a little concerned, imagine drowning to death and the last thing you see is an obnoxious blonde just waving as you go.
Oh well, nothing the cat that wasn't able to swim could do about it.
"Probably. I'd like to grab some clothes before I swap again. Until then I'll just pretend to be a talking cat until it suits me to not be just a talking cat."
She looked around. This really was going to be a long one wasn't it? Couldn't they all just fly? Were all these people flightless shinigami? No wait. She was the only soul amongst all these humans. Were people just unable to fly nowadays?

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
This genuinely could not be going any worse now could it? No matter the effort he put in to trying to reach the surface, Saisei found himself falling further and further in to the water's depths. As if an angel from the sky reached towards him, Micaiah swiftly through him to the surface in an effort to fix his drowning.
"Have you ever considered some people can't swim?!!?!!?!?" Yelling at the top of his lungs, the salmon-haired boy came flying towards shades of blue once more. In a vain effort to keep himself from once again drowning, he reached out to Erchanhardt to cling to.
Smacking the water face first, Saisei immediately jerked his head up to glare towards the water's depths, almost shunning the blonde brute that threatened his life.
"Names. I asked for names. I can't swim. For the love of all that's good can y'all work with me?"

MICAIAH KHSHESH
Was he not competent? Could he not just adapt? Micaiah was even demonstrating the technique for him to see. That was always enough for her. Evidently that wasn't enough. Maybe this wasn't an issue of not understanding it physically, but mental communication wasn't her forte. Fortunately, she knew someone who was. Micaiah swam around back towards Erchanhardt.
Not because of the man--but because her sword she left on the beach came flying to her from his direction. The blade swept over the large man's head and dived underneath the water surface and under Saisei, lifting him up and acting as his floatie. The blade's flat was wide enough to be comfortably lied upon without touching the edges.
Directly to his mind, provided there was no interference, a voice reached out to him with a grand timbre, despite the boyish voice.
"So, boy. I'm told you can't swim. What's the issue?"

ERCHANHARDT BURGSTALLER
"Ah, yes, I do always forget that your attire does not transform with you. That is a tad unfortunate, but I would naturally not expect you to change back in that state."
Only somewhat surprised as Saisei gripped onto his body, Erchanhardt was rather glad that he knew well enough how to swim that he could simply support the young man. Was his floatation device still around? If not, they would have to figure some sort of alternative.
"Apologies, young man. You can see that my student is prone to excitement and does often act rashly. Call it a blessing and a curse, in her case. I am Erchanhardt, of the Burgstaller family. The one who threw you is Micaiah, and the feline is Yugiri. A pleasure to have you with us."

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
Finally, we're gettin' somewhere here. Firmly clung to Erchanhardt's figure, Saisei finally caught his breath from the excitement. Just moments ago he was burying his toes in wet sand, gently floating on the water's surface with his floatie. Now, he found himself far from the shoreline. Far from his floatie. As if mourning a lost friend, he closed his eyes and gave a small prayer for his tiny, polka-dotted floatie.
"Rest in piece, Bad Boy." Moving on from his little personal funeral, the boy focused his attention once more on the group of three. A gentle woosh followed by a solid piece of metal pressing against his lower half. How could anyone think moving a sword around all willy nilly around someone's private parts was an uncomfortable situation? Letting it go almost immediately, Saisei let go of Erchanhardt and sat upright on the blade's edge.
"I'm Saisei. Y'all knew that already though. Thanks for givin' me the brute's name. And, if I'm to understand this correctly, that isn't just a normal cat, is it?"
Pointing toward Yugiri, it was pretty obvious that she wasn't just a regular cat. What has Saisei wrapped himself in this time around?

MICAIAH KHSHESH
"Correct, it is an abnormal cat. Now, while you guys are getting situated, and the sword instructs you on the ways of wonder beneath the sea, the rest of the party shall depart toowwwaaaards---?"
Micaiah looked towards the sea to gauge what direction they should set off for. It didn't actually matter what exact direction, since she didn't know what the most optimal route was precisely. They'd have to wait for nightfall to know precisely. For now, the goal was to just follow the sun westward. Not that she actually explained this lack of direction. She'd figure it out as she went along--that's how it always worked. Worst come to worst she could ask someone. Maybe a whale, if she came across one. Hopefully something that could actually talk, but who knows.
"Towards, that-a-way. Come along now, children. We should hope to reach the mountains before nightfall!"
As Micaiah swam forward at a fast pace, the sword beneath Saisei followed along, still floating on the water's surface awaiting an answer. Micaiah would only slow down or stop from either a distraction from her group, or something getting in the way of her freestyle. If the group was to continue following along at her speed, they'd lose sight of the coastline in around 30 minutes.
