Everything moved quickly, a bit too quickly for Elyss' tastes. Makoto and her returned with Roman and the girl, but they didn't really have much time for anything else. She only knew the man for a few hours, and then, he was gone. She couldn't help but feel a bit hollow about it all. The things he said about life, it sort of got to her. Though, in the end, she carried out her duties as she was supposed to do, even if it meant leaving things a bit sore with Makoto. The woman had never liked her much anyway for some reason, but after that, Elyss couldn't help but feel like the two shared something, at least when it came to the sadistic nature that Makoto displayed. That's probably why Elyss followed Makoto as the other woman left. She had kept her distance and simply committed to watching from afar, but doing such felt stupid. Being one to talk whenever she pleased, fearing calling out to Makoto felt kind of silly. Yet, she knows she going to be met with animosity. Still...

"Hey, Makoto!" She dared to utter as she took off in a bit of a sprint to catch the woman, hoping the other didn't simply run. Makoto would diss her to her face than just try to escape, right? That'd at least give Elyss a bit of time to try and get something said. Her mind is jumbled, and she just wants to get it all out. She only needs but a moment, and hopefully, that'll lead to more.

Saki was one thing but Elyss' persistence was a frustratingly consistent thing. It was not on and off, it was constant and Makoto had assumed that she would adhere to their prior agreement. She wasn't doing this mission to make friends with her but for the sake of Abalia and its resolution was the end of their need to interact. At least that's what she hoped and was proven wrong.

Another step before she came to a standstill and waited for the redhead to catch up.

"What do you want?"

Oh. Well. She had expected something else. That was rather tame for Makoto, wasn’t it? It caught her off guard a bit, leaving her stumbling through her thoughts for a second. She didn’t mean to pause for so long, and she’s sure Makoto’s already thin patience is probably almost gone. Eh… Think… Think… Ah…

“H-Hey. Let’s go get something to eat. It… was quite a mission, huh. I’m a little peckish, yeah? Aren’t you?”

Mmm… Well, that’s bad, really bad. She couldn’t help but let how bad it was show on her face. No way is Makoto going to accept that, but maybe… Ah. She should say something else, something more substantial. Erm… Yeah… That’s it. Her face cleared up a bit as she came up with something she would actually like to talk about.

“...We probably need to talk anyway, about back then, with Roman…”

"No. I'm not particularly hungry."

She said flatly, she couldn't even say it was a lie or attempt to wave off the offer. Her mind was too preoccupied to consider something like food now, she'd eat when she felt hungry and go from there but frankly, even if she was hungry it'd still no doubt lead to the same conclusion of her saying no.

"There's nothing to be discussed, any kind of debrief of that mission should include at minimum the vice-captain and perhaps Abalia. So I'll decline and see you when such a time is appropriate."

Makoto finished and turned to continue leaving, getting a few steps before abruptly stopping and turning around for a moment to question her.

"Have you informed Katya of how the events unfolded? We did give our word we would pass on the results to her."

It didn't bother her if Elyss said she hadn't. Makoto was happy to do it herself.
