"I'm me, and I'm not gonna let anyone tell me otherwise" This quote is one Doku holds close to himself. His driving factor is freedom, not being told what he is, and what he's going to do. He's the only one who can decide that. This extends to his sister, he works to provide for her, giving her the freedom to live her life comfortably despite her illnesses. This serves his main goal, wanting to live a free life, and extending his sister the same offer.

Despite distancing himself from the Fischer family, Doku still holds their family-first mentality, if his father or sister needed help he would drop everything to help. While he adores his sister, he craves attention since obviously, his parents focused more on Nanaly. This isn't something that eats away at him or anything, rather it's more subconsciously unaware of why he does that. Years of acting a fool as a kid for attention have imprinted onto him even today. This also loops around to the boy's surprising nerd factor. What does that mean? As a kid, he read a ton of comic books, played countless video games, and watched anime. Doku could sit down and explain the lore of the most complex anime to you, sometimes going into a ramble about things you've never heard of.

Speaking of growing up, a lot of the media he consumed when he was young was very American. Rock music, western movies, and video games. As such he leans heavily toward American values and traditions, really mixing up his cultural identity.

While providing for his sister, Doku had been working for as long as he can remember, doing chores for the neighbors, and selling his valuable trading cards, this has made Doku care about money, while he isn't a cheapskate he would prefer not to waste money on things if he can save money doing it another way, after all, dollars add up.




The Fischer family is one that sprung from the initial wave of Quincy, with a long past, they come from descendants of the groups of Quincy trained by Nozomi. They were essentially Quincy purists, trying to stick to their traditions. This did lead to the family not exactly spreading out their numbers, they stayed pretty concentrated in Germany. The family lived by the core principle, "Family Is Everything"

Though this ideology would change many generations later, soon a few members would branch out meeting Quincy from other parts of the world. This is where we get to Doku's parents. His father, Alwin moved to Japan in his twenties, as part of an arranged marriage deal, with a woman named Sayaka. Alwin was pretty book-smart, a history buff who knew quite a few languages. Sayaka was another pure-blooded Quincy from a struggling Quincy family, marrying off their only child to the first purebloods interested.

Alwin didn't object, after all, it was for the family, and the Qunicy bloodline. the arranged marriage went off perfectly, and the two of them formed a real bond which bloomed into a romance and eventually a love. Alwin worked as a German professor at a university, and Sayaka was a homemaker who worked from home, she was an author, selling off her short stories online for some extra money. They were nothing groundbreaking or overly popular, but a bit of extra cash helped.

Not long into their marriage Sayaka became pregnant. While she did work from home, she made sure to keep her duties as a Quincy going, hunting down hollows in the area. Sayaka wasn't an elite Quincy by any stretch of the imagination, but fodder hollow was just that, fodder. Eventually, she came across a far stronger hollow, it was a sneaky one, with invisibility and the ability to create almost mirror images of itself, it was pretty tough to land a good shot with her bow.

The flamingo-like creature managed a few well-placed attacks, but the battle was uphill for Sayaka. Though thankfully she (barely) managed to put down the creature. Sayaka was scalded by her husband, after a quick examination Sayaka and the baby inside of her were both completely fine after some treatment. This did make the relationship between Alwin and Sayaka better, as after that, Alwin tagged along on Sayaka's hunts.

Now, while physically both of them were okay, the child wasn't in a spiritual sense, the Hollow left behind some of its energy, and this made its way to the child. As the energy took root, it turned the boy into what he is today, a fullbringer. A battle inside of his soul began, his Quincy and Fullbringer abilities fought for dominance, the Fullbring won this struggle, and as such stunted the boy's growth as a Quincy. However, this wouldn't be known until years after he was born.

Other than that, it all went well, a smooth delivery would welcome Doku to the Fischer family. Sayaka stopped her writing to focus more on her new son, she was a very overly protective mother, not letting him out of her sight. This also meant she stopped fighting Hollow, leaving to Alwin who was a far stronger Quincy. Even as a baby, he was a momma's boy, when he was three he got a toy, one that would grow to be very important to him. A kaleidoscope his mother bought for him, the item was high quality, not a simple dollar store toy.

At first, he wasn't super interested in this toy, he was more into his trucks and superheroes. As he got older, around six or seven, he started playing with it more, and it grew into his favorite toy. As a child, Doku did your average kid things, toys, games, and school. Doku was completely average in school, he didn't slack or make stellar grades, but school is important to mention because this was where he met an important person in his life. Helen, a girl only a year older whose mother was a businesswoman moved around to pursue more international business opportunities. She grew to be his best friend (not counting family).


When Doku was four, his father told him some exciting news. He was expecting a sister! Though this kid wasn't nearly as smooth as Doku, she was considered a miracle baby, born with a small heart and immune deficiencies. Doku took the role of your textbook big brother, overly protective and watching over her. Now once Doku was seven his father decided to start teaching him the ways of a Quincy. However, he grew worried when his son wasn't able to demonstrate Steigen or manifest a spirit weapon. Though when trying to learn instead of Steigen he demonstrated a different power, Bringer Light. Alwin wasn't familiar with full bringers, so he reached out to his family back in Germany.

They informed him of what happened back when Sayaka was wounded by that hollow all those years ago. He was rather supportive of his son, at least for the time being, and while he couldn't teach him how to use these fullbring powers, he actively encouraged him to practice them.

The first thing he did was show off to Helen, being rather open with his power. The object on which his abilities were imprinted was that kaleidoscope gifted by his mother. What better way to learn than recreate those scenes you read about in comic books, now thankfully Doku didn't jump off a roof to see if he could fly or shoot webs, but he started small, slowly learning how these abilities work. Bringer light was the one he used the most often, flash steps were always hand, though Helen often scolded him for cheating in their games of tag.

While experimenting and playing with Helen and Nanaly at home, this was when Doku discovered his personal fullbring, Prismatic Rift. He could create small portals, he used this exactly how a kid would, swiping candy from vending machines and making more places for his cards to pass through.

Even into high school, he kept using his powers, bringer light to get to class faster of course he wasn't open about these abilities, he thought of it like a superpower! You couldn't reveal you had it, except to your best friends. Not sure why he thought like this, but no one in his class knew of these abilities, except Helen of course.

While he came to grip with his fullbring powers, his Quincy powers began to show, though they were weak, Blut was the first Quincy power he showed, though it was at a far lower level than his it should have been. This was due to the battle between his Fullbring and Quincy blood.

Year 2 was when Helen dropped a bombshell, she was returning to America with her family. Another business-related move. Of course, she promised to stay in touch but it wouldn't be the same, he wasn't gonna be able to go to her swimming competitions or go to eat at their favorite restaurant anymore. He turned more to hanging out with his family, gaming with Nanaly, watching movies with his mother, and going to sporting events with his dad. It was good, quality family time. Year 3 was good, his grades were better than before, but felt... different without Helen.

Once school was over, he made a rather sudden decision. He was moving to America, well moving in with Helen, at least for a few years, mainly wanting to experience the culture he enjoyed so much as a teenager. A nice change of pace. Helen had seen a lot of success as a restaurateur after she graduated, she opened a few small pubs and burger joints due to her family's connections, money, and experience.

Sayaka and Nanaly were supportive, they knew Helen well and trusted it would be a good experience for their son. Nanaly felt it the hardest, though, of course, she was texting her brother every chance she could get. America was good to Doku, he worked for Helen, helping her with the money side of her restaurants, helping her manage them and order shipments.

Though his adventure only lasted for about two years, when he was 19 he got some news, news that shook him. His mother died of a heart attack. It was unexpected, and this caused him to return to Japan, moving back in with his father and sister to comfort them. Helen understood his sudden leave, wishing her best friend well.

The kaleidoscope she gave him as a child was the best keepsake he could have asked for, this caused him to grow closer to it, evolving his fullbring further, the tiny portals from before grew, allowing him and others to enter. The object is something he holds close to him, one of the first gifts he received from her.

Now we move closer to Doku today, Helen gave her lifelong friend a big gift, Helens' mother had a failed bar in the heart of Tokyo, one she was willing to pass onto Doku, while it was a bar it also had an apartment on the floor above. She wanted to give Doku the chance to have his place to work and be his boss since she knew how much he valued freedom. Doku accepted, and after a visit from Helen, she and him reopened this small bar which they named Yatagurasu. Helen put Doku in touch with some of her supplies and helped him get this place off the ground.

The bar today isn't anything special, it keeps itself alive and gives Doku enough money to get buy and buy himself things he enjoys. Plus it's a job he enjoys, bartending lets him meet interesting characters and put on a little show with his portals. That being said, the bar is niche, it's in a rather bad party of Tokyo so not everyone comes in.






○Marksmen: Playing video games ever since he was a kid sparked an interest in guns for Doku. In Japan, he would play things like paintball and airsoft during his high school days. During his stay in America after high school this is where he would shoot the real deal. After purchasing his revolver Doku would visit gun ranges in America somewhat regularly.

○Nerd-o-pedia: When it comes to nerdy stuff, it's really hard to beat Doku in knowledge, comics, manga, and games are all his specialty. Years of playing, reading, and watching have taught him so many useless nerd facts.

○Fast Hands: Due to Doku’s many jobs his hand-eye coordination is very impressive. Magic Tricks, Bartending, Reloading, and Gaming are all a few of his hobbies that lead him to move his hands quickly.

○Connections: Running a small bar in Tokyo has its benefits, some rather shady folk become regulars, and are just a phone call away, and for a favor, could get him some illicit materials.


○Fullbring Name: Prismatic Rift

○Fullbring Appearance: Doku's fullbring manifests as a kaleidoscope, a black tube that when looked into simply appears as a normal kaleidoscope.

○Fullbring Abilities: Prismatic Rift has several abilities related to space.

○The primary ability of Priamstic Rift allows the user to create portals between two points in which they have sight. These portals appear as circles with a dim purple glow around the rim. The size varies, they can be as large or small as the user desires, however, the maximum size is equal to Doku's height, (likely with a few inches in variation), allowing him easy room to enter. At present his ability to create portals is limited to four. When these portals must be linked to one another at all times, this link is formed upon the creation of two, the two most recently created portals will automatically link with one another. As well, these links can be severed closing the portals on command of the user, though closing these requires a bit of energy from the user. Should the user expel all their energy or pass out all their portals are instantly shut. However, should they not be dismissed these portals only linger for two rounds of posting before automatically closing. A downside is that these portals are universal, they allow anyone to see them, as well as reach or pass through them. Should a portal happen to close while someone or something is entering they would instantly be pushed onto the side they entered from.

○Another ability of this fullbring is placing portals through nonliving materials, creating openings on solid objects. For example, a portal could be placed on a wall, creating a pathway to the other side. Another example would be using it on a safe, to look and reach inside without unlocking it.

○The final and newest ability of this fullbring is one only recently developed. The user can create one portal between far distances without needing sight, this requires a crystal clear mental image of the location, currently, Doku can do this to travel to his bedroom with little to no effort, however, other locations require a photo and an hour of studying the image without interruptions. These long distance portals however instantly close should the user lose concentration, making it near impossible to use in combat.


Fullbring Affinity: Doku's affinity is a kaleidoscope, given to him by his mother when he was young. After his bringer light, it's the ability he's had the second most time to use. When he was young he only could create small portals through walls and other objects, he used this for silly things, such as stealing gumballs out of a gumball machine and creating holes for his toy cars to roll through. During his teenage years, his ability grew with him, allowing him to create smaller portals where he could put objects. After the death of his mother, this ability evolved into what it is today. Due to working more and the loss of his mother he grew closer, viewing the kaleidoscope as a memento to her. This was when the size of his portals grew exponentially, allowing him to pass through them before they were only a few inches big, but now they were larger.

Full Manifestation: This is an ability Doku hasn't seen the need to train much, it's an ability he has used when he's bored, messing with water in his water bottle and such, but nothing much more than that.

Bringer Light: This was the first ability Doku figured out as a Fullbringer, thus making it an ability he's had the most time to train and hone. This ability first appeared to him when he was eight trying to learn Steigen from his father, but the ability seemed impossible for him. That was until his instincts took over when trying to use high-speed movement, finally revealing he was a Fullbringer. Ever since though, Doku has used this ability for his benefit, using it to quickly get to school, he'd even use it to throw the occasional faster punch once he learned the ability better in the odd chance he got into a fight.

Spiritual Attunement: This a rather simple ability that simply allows Doku to place spiritual pressure into weapons he wields, typically this involves coating his bullets in his Reishi allowing them to hit spiritual creatures.

Hollow Factor: Quincy blood has always been fighting Doku's hollow factor, eliminating it at a young age, as such it's unlike Doku will ever really show any hollow factor.

Quincybringer: While Doku was in the womb, his Fullbring and Quincy powers were battling for dominance. This severely stunted Doku's growth as a Quincy. This causes his Quincy-based abilities to grow at an incredibly slow rate, giving him little in the form of Quincy techniques.

Spirtual "Weapon": This ability is essentially the bastardized version of a proper Quincy's Spirit Weapon. While most Quincy create full-fledged weapons from the Reishi around them, Doku's stunted Quincy growth only allows him to create small projectiles, these can be created inside of his gun, allowing him to shoot bullets of Reishi from his weapon.

Blut: Blut is one of the other Quincy abilities Doku can manifest, it was an ability that naturally came as he got older, though much later than a regular Quincy would first learn it. Age 15 was when he first started showing blut, and he hasn't really been able to grow it since.


Revolver: During his time in America, Doku purchases his first real firearm. A revolver was always one of his favorite gun types growing up, so he decided to get himself a nice one. The gun is a standard six-shot revolver, with a black grip and black frame. Additionally, for some added flair, his fullbring allows him to summon and stow away this weapon on command.
