Joker's Wild (Doku/Sumana)

Doku couldn't even fathom why Helen would want to check out this resort. Doku knew a bit when it came to the Seven Flowers. Running a shady bar meant you met some shady people who have been around. Helen wasn't the shady type nor did she enjoy getting into criminal activities. Maybe it was just because Americans loved to gamble.

The sudden invite to Africa took a bit of thought, but any time spent with Helen was good in his eyes. The deciding factor was mainly because he didn't want Helen to go to a place like this alone, She wasn't a fighter nor did she possess any combat abilities. Just a normal human. Though on the other hand, she did have a lot of money, which seemed like it was a superpower in its own right.

They were planned for a week-long trip, Saturday to Saturday. Thankfully for our broke boy, Helen was going to be paying for their visit, all expensive. Though he wouldn't say it, he was a little bummed out they had two separate rooms... and he had to pay for his gambling. Not that his bank account would like that...

Taking a Helicopter was a weird experience, but that was how rich people traveled. As they made their way over, Helen informed Doku of her plan, she was going to use his fullbring to make him some cash. Put on a magic show and collect the tips from the rich folk and those who hit it big gambling. Doku couldn't say he was against the idea, but performing wasn't one of his strong suits...

He was given a few hours to think about how his show would go before they arrived.

As soon as they landed Helen was off, checking into their room and such. Doku would be on his own, in a massive resort... lovely.

The boy would look for a spot to put on his little street show. Right outside of the Casino entrance, it was crowded as people flowed in and out. With a snap of his fingers and clearing his throat, Doku would start his show, hoping a crowd would form by itself or he'd look like a total dumbass.

Thankfully a crowd did begin to manifest as the Fullbringer would create small portals, his show was a bit of a magic show mixed with some slapstick comedy. Purely improve, tripping through his portals and infinitely freefalling, juggling through them. Disappearing and returning to the stage. Snagging someone's wallet (and giving it back after he was threatened to be gutted). It wasn't overly rough, roughly fifteen minutes, he ran out of tricks rather quickly.

Seems Helen had a point, tips began piling up, bills, coins, and even... a check? Maybe he was onto something... though just as quickly as the crowd appeared, they faded going back to their activities.

As the crowd faded away from Doku's performance, one of the onlookers lingered a little while longer than the rest. Something was striking about her modest figure, sharp-cut features eyeing the magician with no small amount of intrigue as he seemed to be appreciating his profits. Clapping her hands together softly, she approached with a smile that spread perhaps just a little too wide.

"Quite the daring little show, I must say, but I take it you are not a regular?"

It seemed innocent enough, though she knew the truth quite well already and all that remained to be seen was if he would attempt to bluff against the house. It wasn't like she was opposed to the idea of people trying to turn a profit of their own in this little slice of paradise, but there was simply the matter of getting her cut and how easy to extract that it would be. Still, she offered out a hand for him to take if he wished, slender fingers sparkling slightly under the casino lights.

"Fancy buying a girl a drink now that you're a rich man?"

As Doku picked through his earnings trying to figure out the total. However, a sound would make him lose count, clapping followed by a voice approaching him. As he turned to face her, he was surprised to see... well a good-looking woman. Though most of those rich people presented themself well, they didn't have natural beauty.

"Regular? Nah. This is my first time. I came here with with my..." He stopped himself from thinking about it. What... WAS Helen's title? "Friend, Helen. She's a big foodie, her family owns a lot of worldwide locations and stuff like that. But she needed a gambling buddy so I tagged along"

He chuckled a little and took note of her hand extending. He would take it and shake it, softly before speaking out. "Oh ho~" Why did women always swoop in as soon as they caught the smell of money? This did raise several red flags for Doku, but he would entertain the woman, wanting to see what she was all about.

"Shit, you caught me out of my natural habitat. I run a bar~ So I would usually just make you one of my specialties." He would look around, before returning his gaze to the woman. "But sure, you seem to know this place better. Why not show me what place makes good drinks?"

Her grip was firm for a woman of her stature, the edges of her lips curling up into a toothy grin as Doku gave her all the information she needed and more. This Helen sounded like quite the character too, almost enough to make her wonder if she was speaking to the right person, but she wasn't the one here performing. Besides, Sumana might have her red flags but had other things to work with too.

"Well if you're a gambling man then you came to the right place~"

Taking the lead, she began to guide her new companion across the resort with a marked amount of purpose. It certainly might have seemed like there was an interest in following the money, but there were plenty of bigger fish in that sea than Doku if he chose to look outside the immediate vicinity. Still, her eyes kept wandering back in his direction as they travelled to make sure that he knew he was her focus.

"I think I can find us a place where you can use those little tricks to make me something special if you're still feeling slick with those hands~"

The bar she had in mind was one of the busier ones, where they could blend into the crowd and also have their pick of absent bottles if she understood what Doku was doing correctly. A chance for him to really show his skills, and get a little creative too.

The firm grip was noted. This was certainly a woman of power, though he already assumed that. As he walked with the woman he thought about what she just said. Truthfully Doku wasn't a gambling man, but of course, he wasn't going to tell her that, after all when a woman asked if you liked something, you said yes. As they walked through the resort, Doku made note of each of the areas, and their notable features. Clearly, there was some reason for showing him each area. After glancing at their surroundings, Sumana would get multiple looks, trying to focus on the woman to find her intentions. Subconsciously watching her hands and his own pockets, not wanting any of his belongings to be snatched.

"Oh? Sure why not? I wouldn't mind making something special. Honestly, this place probably has better booze than the stuff I have back home" A brief pause followed by a chuckle from the purple-haired man. "My hands are pretty quick. Back when I lived in America, I used to visit the firing range. I got quick with it." From looking at him, he was Asian and had a bit of an accent, so one wouldn't guess he lived in America.

"I didn't catch your name."

He was trying to figure out a bit more about this woman, her age, and her goal of course.
