Trolling the Brutes Empty Trolling the Brutes

Sun Aug 03, 2014 1:08 am
The warm weather was definitely interesting to say the least. It was supposedly supposed to be chilly but things change in time. Regardless of the matter, Shinryu found himself to be fairly bored. He had some time off but, found himself just doing his work during his off time. He needed some type of activity or hobby to allow him to actually be useful in some regard to the others or himself or to just keep him busy. He also knew that if he slacked on his own training he's get weak. It was a nuisance to keep up with it all as he walked around the Seireitei, trying to figure out what exactly would do the trick. He already ate and napped today. So he couldn't use those as go to's. And Shibo Aijin told him she wasn't doing anything today so there was no use in trying to train with her. He needed something to go off of.

Shinryu-kun, why don't we just cuddle?

A momentary pause occurred as Shinryu's left eyebrow twitched slightly. He had a one hour argument with the blasted woman about how today was her 'do nothing day' and how she needed her 'beauty rest' and now, she asks him for her time. Shinryu simply decided to ignore her. She was pining for attention again and Shinryu knew that.

Shiiiiiiinryu-kuuuuun, come here!

And again, Shinryu went to thinking about other things. He made special note in his mind that he'd need to take the Patrol Unit out for a stroll around the Rukongai to look for any shady or unusual folk within the region or potential talent. As a Rukongai recruit himself, Shinryu understood the value the region could have for finding potential shinigami for the 2nd Division and the Gotei 13 in general.

Baka, I know you can hear me dammit!

And?

WHAT DO YOU MEAN AND?!?! CUDDLE WITH ME! NOW!

I thought today was your do nothing day?

Baka, Cuddling is DOING NOTHING. Just doing nothing with someone else.

If cuddling where doing nothing, it would be called that and not cuddling. Besides, I wouldn't want to break your brittle bones, Shibo-obaachan.

BAKA STOP CALLING ME THAT!

It was then that Shinryu noticed in particular the area he had stopped in front of amidst his arguing with Shibo Aijin. The area was the barracks for the 11th Division. If he remembered correctly, they were the 'Combat specialist' division of the Gotei 13. Shinryu always figured the Onmitsukido where the combat specialists. After all, they were always sent to deal with the stronger and special enemies. What where those 11th kids sent to deal with? Probably just the really big things, mostly the super large Menos or something insignificant like that. It was then that he realized that this would be a great place to be a nuisance, learn something and get some training in as he walked to the open grounds. He noticed some of them were in clusters sparring in the open area, like a courtyard of sorts. It was at that moment that Shinryu had an idea as he simply stood there, with his tongue out at them. What better way to get under their skin than with some light taunting.

Alright, since I received confirmation that this guy is coming back to the site, I'm going to go ahead and produce a post for you. This post should be up in the next hour or so. Also, for timeline purposes, I'm going to advance this thread to have taken place in January of 2415. This is so I can use a more current version of Ibiki.

Trolling the Brutes Empty Re: Trolling the Brutes

Artist: maritumix - Song: Desire Chain - Word Count: 1501

Despite it being in the middle of winter, the barracks of the Division Eleven Company seemed to be as warm as a spring day. Why was this so? Simple: it was because the will of their Captain desired it to be so. Even in her passive and relaxed state, the high reserves of spiritual energy that lay within The Menacing Devil Girl could keep her entire squadron heated through the frigid season of winters hand. Therefore, many of her subordinates were seen wearing all kinds of shorts, tank tops and other adjustments to their uniforms so that they could breathe a bit better in this heat.

But, the real intensity would lay in the fist-to-face training that The Kenpachi was giving out today. As, by the time Shinryu would have arrived on the scene, the sparring sessions with The Menacing Devil would have began with a bang. There would be a group of four Shinigami whom were charging straight at the horned girl. All of them seemed to be muscular in nature and had a fair bit of spiritual pressure to make them quite the threat to deal with.

However, as Miss Ibiki stared them down with her ginger stare, it was easy to tell that this Captain had no doubts in her ability. Therefore, she moved with nimble and controlled speed. Twisting her ankles with the utmost of precision, the first target to deal with was one of the males coming to her from the plank. With a hard kneecap smash to their chest, she would have blown the mall square into a wall none too far from the wondering Vice Captain. That blow had enough pressure and force sealed within it to leave most Vice Captains winded, if not, knocked out. So it was far to say that the male suffered quite the damning blow to his health, but he still seemed intent on proving his worth to his superior. Hence, he stood once more and joined his frantic friends in charging The Menacing Devil Girl once again.

While he was set flying, The Oni Shinigami left off a giggle and charged a great deal of energy into her legs. Once this force was gathered, it would not be too difficult for her to unleash a wide spin-kick that left the males flying in various directions as a flash of plum light ignited in the area. They all let off grunts of pain as they were sent hurdling into trees, walls and the very earth itself. Yet, just like before, they got up once again and started charging at her once again.

So, to this, the amber haired Captain smirked with the utmost of glee and was delighted to see her harden bunch of men were quite durable. Hence, she'd motion for them to come at her again and they went into the next stage of their little sparring session. They all unleashed a series of punches and kicks at the Menacing Devil, but her speed seemed to be able to match them blow for blow. With each hit that landed across her fist or legs, rumbles of shock wave shook the Division Eleven Barracks and it was clear to see that these guys were getting a serious work-out in.

Sweat was scattering everywhere, blood was spewing over the pavement and ecstatic shouts of laughter from all of the combatants were booming across the Division Eleven Floor. This is how they got down and they got down with a devilish fright! However, as with all things, this little match of theirs had to come to an end. So, in an eruption of orchid energy, the limbs of The Menacing Devil were consumed by her reaitsu. In that moment, her speed and strength were taken to new heights and she was able to seal the deal in this combat.

A hard punch to one of the men's chin's left them knocked out clean, while a hard elbow strike to another gut left them unable to keep up the fight. Then, as she twisted her body and made these deceive blows, The Fearsome Kenpachi delivered a hard kick to the third male and threw herself towards the last man standing and took him out with a powerful headbutt.

By the time the dust had settled, The Little Oni Girl was sweating and bruised, but otherwise left standing. In spite of this, though, she still seemed to have a large grin smeared across her face. And, despite having the tar beaten out of them, so to did her fellow squad mates have smiles and snickers coming forth from their faces. It was all in good sport and The Zaraki Squad played their games as hard as they fought. After all, they wouldn't get better or become stronger by taking it easy. So, Ibiki was proud to see them last as long as they did in a head-to-head match against her.

Thus, in response to this, most of of the other spectators started cheering for this spectacle and Ibiki gave them all a thumbs up before helping her opponents back up. The air was filled with positive energy and the world seemed right in the mind of The Menacing Devil. It was a nice little reprieve of peace when compared with many of the gruesome fights that had occurred over the past year or so. Everything from the earth-shattering conclusion of Demonic Incursion, to the hellish aftermath of Operation Rampage. She had pushed herself quite a bit during these events, seen many of her friends and allies die and had been pushed to the brink of stress trying to manage the Gotei 13 with their limited resources. So, in this moment, she needed to soak up the enjoyment for as long as she can. As, in this world, there was always darkness at the end of every corner of happiness.

After mulling over those thoughts for a bit, there did seemed to be something that caught the attention of The Menacing Devil Girl. Through the crowds of cheering people, she seemed to take notice of someone who shouldn't be there. Ibiki Suika made it point to memorize the spiritual frequency of all those who were apart of her division. This was done in the effort so that she could help idenftify and assist them in wartime situations. So, baring those thoughts in mind, it disturbed her to notice a new energy signature approaching the area that wasn't apart of her squad.

Ergo, The Captain zoomed in on the spiritual presence of Shinryu and flash stepped directly to his location. Granted, when she arrived, there was a look of confusion on her face as she blinked at the sight of the male sticking his tongue out at her. As she put her right hand on her hip, a coy smirk emerged across the face of The Oni Shinigami as this male looked somewhat familiar. While digging through her memory, it eventually came to pass that this person must've been the new Vice Captain of Squad Two they recently recruited. At least, from the description they gave, this male had to be it. Especially given the amount of spiritual energy that The Zaraki could sense from him.

So, feeling relieved that they had a new ally in arms, Ibiki decided that it would be good to start this off with a firm handshake. Hence, she offered her right hand to Shinyru and nodded her head to acknowledge his presence:

"Greetings there, sport. I take it you are the new Vice Captain of Division Two, no? It's a pleasure to meet ya if you are. The name is Ibiki Suika and I'm happy to see we have some new blood in our home."

Voice soft and excited, The Menacing Devil Girl giggled somewhat and then had an idea pass through her head. To the left side of Shinryu? He'd notice that a small cluster of lavender light would be materializing. Eventually, after a few seconds, a red plate would materialize by him. And, in that plate, there would be a fair amount of sake placed in its contents for him to indulge in.

With a wink of her right eye, Ibiki motioned towards the plate and smiled:

"Oh, and the first drinks on me. You can't have a good conversation without some good booze, eh?"

Nodding her head at her own self-proclaimed knowledge, The Captain snickered once more and decided to add on to her speech:

"So, tell me, you probably didn't come to my squad just for drinks and silliness. What brought you her to begin with? Tell me a good story!"

And with much that said in quite the cheery tone, the metaphorical ball would be in The Vice Captain's court to do as he pleased. The Oni Shinigami would observe him carefully and see just what his response would be. Hopefully the male had an interesting tale for her hear. After all, one doesn't just walk into the division eleven barracks for nothing!

Trolling the Brutes Empty Re: Trolling the Brutes

Shin observed the fight very closely. However, she didn't reveal anything to particular during it aside from her extremely impressive hand to hand capacities. Shin pondered how they truly were in comparison to his but, it was likely she was holding back also to not harm her subordinates. Her enjoyment of combat was noted though. Battle frenzy or maybe just battlelust. He couldn't be completely certain just yet. And then, she approached him with gifts. And a welcome. He smiled, His Captain just threw a stack of papers at him. And Saki was definitely more favorable than paperwork. He reached out and shook her hand contently.

"Ohaiyo! It seems word gets around fairly swiftly, doesn't it? Yes, though I wish my Captain shared your enthusiasm. Chibi-taichou seems more interested in passing paperwork onto me and napping than actually doing anything."

Shin said as a sort of aside in regards to Atoshi. He wasn't sure how well she knew him but figured the light-hearted comment would gain some sort of response. It was then she wanted to hear a story. Shin could talk people's ears off for sure. Though in this circumstance, he had a particular interest for arriving here.

"Well, I heard that this squad is all fighters. With hand to hand skill whatnot. Some even say you specialize in it. Though I always thought the Onmitsukido was the prime hand to hand specialists. I was curious if you guys actually measured up to the hype."

Shin said as he looked over towards the group in question. Some of them were now trying to listen or were now noticing the conversation that was occurring. Shin figured that the Captain would be better than him in some ways but, didn't mean he couldn't learn. More importantly, did that trickle down to the others he wondered. Shin looked around for a moment as he surveyed the situation as he took a sip from the saki.

"They also say all your Zanpakutō do nothing. Just big ole weapons in all. That's kinda a shame. All this supposed skill but, no tool of equal ability to be paired with you. It's like being a legless karate master, if you catch my drift. Regardless, I figured this would be a good time to figure out if it's all true and such, or if they are all brute and no finesse. From what I saw from your sparring partners, they have no finesse when compared to you at least. Must suck not having real sparring partners around consistently."

Shin-kun, she could probably hammertime you with her pinky.

Probably.

Then what are you doing?

You can always learn something new, even from a beating. Especially from a beating. Besides, I'm hoping to get her to show something new off to take note of.

Shin chuckled as a few more of the squad paid attention to the things Shin was saying, some showing irritation and disapproval, others merely shaking their heads. All the same, Shin was definitely curious to see what would come of this and he pondered at this idea as he surveyed the area while here. The dust from the previous spar now beginning to completely settle as the area seemed more clear once more. Shin truly doubted if any of them here were going to actually do anything without their Captain telling them to anyway, though he kept his guard up should they be hasty anyway.

Trolling the Brutes Empty Re: Trolling the Brutes

[PLAY POSTING MUSIC]

Artist: dBu music - Song: Unhuman Variations - Word Count: 1501

Ah, so it seemed that the male didn't desire any of her sake, eh? Fair enough. Not all people were drinkers and The Menacing Devil Girl had no qualm with those who didn't drink. Therefore, with a snap of her fingers, the drink disappeared and reappeared back in her hand. Then, within a moments notice, she drunk the whole bowl, threw it away and let out a satisfied sigh as the Vice Captain started to beat around the bush for his intentions of being here.

However, during his first outburst of words, there was something interesting that The Oni Captain picked up on. To be more precise, it was the fact that his Captain gave him nothing but paperwork to do. To that? Ibiki could only let out a playful chuckle as she couldn't imagine just throwing work at her subordinates. There needed to be a certain balance between play and work in her division in order to maintain morale and efficiency. So, it was quite a shame that someone like him was stuck in such a horrid position.

Therefore, upon that thought, Ibiki figured she'd open her arms once again and allow him the chance to join up with her division:

"Hehehe. That sounds awful. I couldn't imagine putting my fellow comrades through that. Say, why don't you take this opportunity to join up with our division? It's obvious you've came here for a fight, and you'll find no shortage of them in my company."

As she placed on hand on her hip, a slight smirk eased on to the face of The Menacing Devil Girl as she started to hear him prattle on and on and never get to the true intention of why he was here: to prove the might of his Zanpukto! Most of the division members of her squadron seemed to be getting irritated, confused or outright doubted the prowess of the Vice Captain. Whereas, with Ibiki, she more or less saw it as an attempt to rile her up and get her to attack with the utmost of anger. And, from this understanding, she wasn't going to quite take the bait in the way that he had planned for her.

"Shinryu was it? Yeah. Shinryu, women aren't too fond of men who aren't direct. Just say that you want to fight me and I'll be more than happy to make that wish come true."

The voice of The Captain than seemed to be more teasing than anything else at this point. So, she let out another giggle and proceeded to crack each of her fist in order to give this boy the challenge he so desired. To this end? Each of the squadron members of the Zaraki Company started backing up and gaining their distance away from the Captain. Depending on how serious this got? This could turn ugly real fast, but The Menacing Devil Girl had no intentions of really changing the landscape for this opponent. So, she'd turn down the fury a few notches in order to better match her opponent and lower her energy to rival his.

Then, when that ritual of descending of power had passed, The Oni Shinigami would start her swift assault upon the new Vice Captain after he finished speaking his last words to her. In a matter of moments, he would soon be met with a few jabs to the face at break-neck speeds. Each of these hits were designed to strike him in his temple, move downward to his nose and then brought on home with two hard punches to the jaws and a final double punch to his chin.

In this way, her foe may very well begin to fall under immense pain and become disorientated from taking too many direct hits to the head. Dizziness could ensue, broken teeth may occur, internal bleeding was possible and the outright wind could have been taken out of the boy's lungs. For with every strike Ibiki made, the earth beneath them started to strike for many meters on end. To the point where the crowd watching them winced at the shock waves associated with each of these blows.

However, she was far from done with him. In another torrent of speed, she'd lower herself to his legs and begin tapping at his thighs, kneecaps and ankles. In this way, she directed the immense physical strength her body possessed to precise locations. Each of these taps were capable of splitting through the earth itself, so it stood to reason that the bones, muscle tissue and skin around those areas would be greatly stained. Blobs of blood could tear open, the cartilage may be cracked or broken and his overall speed may be crippled or neutralized due to this attack.

The male was dealing with a hakuda and speed master, so he should know that a nimble and lightweight girl like this could move all kinds of fast. So, that would then lead to her final assault: a hard and damning headbutt to the face! As she gained momentum from her thrust off the ground, The Menacing Devil Girl intended to rise herself back to his level and then slam her forehead against his in order to send him flying like a ragdoll in the best case scenario. The collision from this could send floods of pain coursing throughout every fiber of his being. This would then lead to the chance of her augmenting the damage she may have already done at this point and bring the male to a very critical and crippling point.

If he wasn't careful, there was a rather high chance he could be taken out of this fight entirely with these moves. And, it is because of this extreme probability that those in her squadrons already started calling for assistance from Squad Four. As, within a matter of moments, a stretcher was being called into the battlegrounds and two Squad Four healers were already on the scene. They were accustomed to wheeling out bruised, broken and beaten combatants from this squad, so this was just another day in the park for them as they witnessed The Zaraki go primal on the unsuspecting Vice Captain.

Thus, all eyes were on Ibki and she was about as happy as a kid in the candy store being able to get this extreme adrenaline rush out of her system. Therefore, she'd need to check to see if her opponent was sitll kicking after unleashing such a fury of assaults upon his very well being:

"Hehehehee, did you have fun with that? I know I did! Tell me if I went overboard or not. I'm dying to see what you are made of and if you have enough moxy to backup your bold actions!"

Shouted Ibiki with the utmost of excitement behind her face. Yeah, there was a bit of taunting behind it, but it was all in good sport, was it not? It was hard not to let words like that out when everything is moving at a million miles per second and The Oni Girl was no exception. Her heart was racing, sweat pouring and blood was about to boil over with anticipation. Would her foe live up to her assumptions, or would this just be another swift beat down? Only mother time knew the answer to that dying question!

Trolling the Brutes Empty Re: Trolling the Brutes

Mon Jun 29, 2015 11:37 pm
Her mannerisms were disarming. Shin could tell there was something peculiar about the way she approached things. But it didn't take Shin long to figure out that she was definitely fit to be Captain of the battlelust division as she started combat with him. Shin couldn't really fully react to her speed of action however. Shin was never a speed combat type. Accurate and swift, yes but overwhelming with sheer speed and velocity wasn't his true nature. Needless to say, Shin made his best defensive measure in the only way he could through head movements. Granted, he still got hit quite a bit but when the punches lowered, he also tucked in his chin and lowered his stance. He managed to sort of block though not really two of her blows as his hands gripped onto Shibo Aijin. Shin managed to put his forehead in the way of the blows to the jaw and nose in a slight sense and the tucked chin managed to make the chin strikes not jerk his head around. He wouldn't receive combat whiplash in the least though, his right orbital socket was broken from absorbing the impact. Before he could mount an offense, she was striking at his legs, aiming at jointed locations and important ones.Needless to say, he was certainly outclassed. He couldn't stop any of the damage, only prevent as much as he could as he pulled his blade out from it's sheath, causing it's Shikai form to materialize instantly as he tucked his right leg back while bending to a knee. His thighs were cut open on impact and severely bruised. He managed to move one leg to avoid breaking his kneecaps or ankles but, it didn't do much else.

And then she prepared a finishing blow. For most it wouldn't even be seen as preparation due to her movement speed. But Shin could note slight adjustments, albeit way too late to do anything about it. His face was bloodied and broken in his right eye and his nose, his thigh muscles couldn't take another sneeze from her let alone a hit, not to mention only one of his legs was at full function at this time as the left leg couldn't be saved that well from the onslaught as the right one. And this blow would end it but as the impact hit, he forced all his might into a Hanki and jumping backwards on his right leg and landing on it hard. As he jumped back, globs of his blood dropped to the ground, creating a line of blood as he did, wincing further as he landed.. He was tired however and exhausted from using Hanki. Probably wouldn't be able to use it again till tomorrow. If he was lucky. So using it to block her was truly a one and done type of situation. As he picked his head up and looked towards her, he grinned as he spat out some blood as the black gauntlet covered his arms. He'd have to figure out a way to defend himself with only one leg. And he only had one way to do it truthfully. And it was the longest of long shots.

"You can't just use some cheap trick with your Zan to win."

Came a random call from one of the squad members towards him, as others cheered for the beating he took. Likely case he called them all weak, they felt the need to cheer him on in this manner. It didn't really matter much. Shin wanted to learn more. And she wasn't giving him anything to learn.

"No thanks on the squad membership, Tiny-taichou. I appreciate it but, I plan to take over as the Captain for the Omnitsukido myself soon. Might as well seeing I do all of Chibi-taichou's work anyway. As far as what you showed me. You're holding back. Perhaps we should make this interesting, shall we? You show me yours and I'll show you mine. BANKAI!"

This isn't like you to show off.

I'm hoping to bait her to use hers, even if it means showing mine. It's the only card I have.

She can knock you out with a sneeze you know.

Shin said as suddenly, a wave of energy began to swirl around him. The faint black and green energy whirled around him, causing some of the other squad members to go from cheering to being purely silent. They could feel something but they weren't exactly sure what it was as Shin's shikai enveloped him, before the energy dispersed. And there as it were, stood Shin, now in a black haiori. Still battered and bruised but also different. As he stood there in front of her as black chain links slightly extended from both of Shin's legs, wrapping around them before coiling onto the ground. Shin had a plan of what to do. He doubted it would work but he figured with her personality type, maybe she'd show something if not her Bankai. Though he hoped Bankai. Soon enough, his entire body had the links extend from him in different directions, acting as a sort of armor around him. Touching a single one would cause necrosis on contact. He hoped it would act as a buffer to hinder her superior Hakuda and speed and force her to release her Zanpakutō.

"Zettai Shibo Aijin. And as far as my moxie is concerned, normally sucker punches are an Onmitsukido strategy. Not too shabby though odd for someone who is clearly superior to resort to them. It's a bad example to set to your subordinates. Do you want them all to go around bragging about how good they sucker punch someone when they aren't even ready? Though I have no room to complain."

Shin said as he let the chains bring him to a full standing position. He'd reduce his ranged attack capacity and assume this defensive formation. It was likely she could dodge any range attack he did anyway. But, if she was moving around at such levels and with such nimbleness, he could deduce two things. First, that any form of limb disabling would severely reduce her abilities and two, her own strength could be used against her. As while Shin was talking, the blood on the ground in front of him, on his body, and his sweat evaporated into a mist. This viral mist would be key but he'd have to see first how she chose to attack next. As the mist raised up, the other squad members began to back up further, trying to keep a safe distance.

When the first round was all said and done, it seemed that the Vice Captain was bruised, bloody and looked like he been put through the ringer. So, with a questionable raise of her brow, did The Menacing Devil Girl perhaps go a bit too hard? That was the first thought which slipped into her mind as she stared at her foe bleeding a line of blood on to the pavement.

She assumed, that with all his boastful talk, perhaps there would have been a bit more bark to back up that tongue. Oh well. The Oni Captain would soon let out a soft sigh and pop her knuckles as she observed her foe closer. That's when her mind started to tick and things started to piece themselves together. If he was from the assassin division, then perhaps there may be something more clever up his hand. So, from that moment on, she'd make a note to keep watch of the environment around her for any subtle changes.

For the meantime, she'd let her foe know what was up and explain her actions:

"Ahhhh~ That's fine. I wish you luck in becoming Captain, but you'll have to become a lot stronger to hold off the types of foes we are up against."

The voice was carefree, relaxed and all but at eased. Indeed, this Captain wasn't as serious or tense as some of her comrades. However, that didn't mean she lacked discipline. Even in this breezy state, every tendon and muscle was ready to strike at a moments notice. For, to live as a Captain, and serve the Gotei, one must be prepared for battle at a moments notice. And, for The Menacing Devil, this was no different. Hence, it is for these reasons she assumed that her opponent was as ready to attack as she was. Clearly -- she overestimated that much.

With a swing of motion from her chain, a purple gourd swung itself into the hands of Ibiki and she took a hard sip of some fine liquor. It made her further tranquil, at ease and ready to indulge further in this shinigami's determination to continue with the fight. It is why a giggle escaped her lips as he had keen enough senses to understand that she was holding back. However, before she could get to that, she'd glance towards her squadron members that were calling out insults and heckling her foe.

Just who were those outlines? Captain Ibiki did not raise such men. Thus, she'd pick up a rock, break it into multiple pieces and throw hard chunks of stone at those fools. To which -- each of the men let out a blood curdling yell as their foreheads started bleeding. Other members of the squad started snickering, while some condemned those men's actions. It served to irritate the Menacing Devil Girl, but she'd never outwardly show it given her jovial demeanor.

"Keep makin' wise cracks like that and you'll be cracked than this here fine pavement beneath my feet."

Despite the warning, her words were as giddy as ever as she twirled about in the air and let out a relaxing sigh of relief. Then, after another swig of liquor, she'd twirl her finger around and point back at the outlining jerks.

"We've got to stick together, don'tcha know? Everyone from the 13 divisions are welcomed in my doors and I won't have any boo'ing or heckling. =w="

With her face flushed, and voice chilled, The Menacing Devil felt she had disciplined her people enough and could focus back on her foe transforming into his Bankai.

"Ohohoho, bankai? Maybe you do have something up your sleeve~ Looks fun =w="

There was a mischievous raise of her eyebrow while making that statement. Following that, a grin eased over onto to The Menacing Devil Girl's face and she pondered what type of Bankai she would be up against today. While, at the same time, she mulled over if she'd grant him the sight of seeing her own release form or not. There was no way that she was releasing her Bankai here, but maybe she could at least show him her shikai as it was obvious enough the boy was curious to see something. The Little Oni Captain could tell because there had been many from the Soul Society who wanted to see the power of The Devil and he wouldn't be fast, and he most certainly wouldn't be the last.

As her plum eyes scanned each of the chains that appeared after the lights and flare were over, it was easy to discern that they more than likely had some sort of special ability to them. In fact, Ibiki could outright sense it from the foul aura each of those shackles radiated. However, she didn't seem too concerned by it. And it was for overconfidence, but rather, it was to be expected. If he wasn't on guard against a foe like her, given the damage he had just taken, The Menacing Devil Girl would have assumed he was just another deranged loony.

So, after having the determination to still stand after those assaults, there was nothing else she could do but at least honor him with an unveiling her Shikai. Granted, before that, she'd further explain her actions and chuckle a bit at the way her fighting style was being described. In that moment, The Oni Captain had assumed most of the life or death struggles she had been apart for the past few months were catching up to her. As, prior to this, she had faced an onslaught of threats and opponents ready to obliterate everything in the Soul Society without discrimination. Thus, it leaves the body strained and more vicious than normal. Something, that Ibiki herself, needed to let go.

"I apologize then if I took you by surprise then, Chainy Captain~ =w="

Although her face still seemed quite relaxed, the words in which she spoke were all but genuine. Henceforth, she'd open her right palm, pat her lift fist gently against it and bow to show her sincerity. Some of the other squad members were confused, but others in the know understood that it was an honest mistake. As, to members of division eleven, their Captain does not give their opponent more than they can withstand. And, by having the guts to approach their Captain, one would assume they'd have the equal reaction time to deal with anything swift and quick.

"I simply thought you were supah' fast, supah' flexible or had some supah' instincts. As I'm one of the fastest Captains around and I thought you did research into that, Chainy Captain. =w="

Giggling once more, The Captain rose up from her bowing position, took a quick swig of her gourd once again and let out a relaxed sigh.

"Besides, this isn't a battle to brag about for me. It has more to do with you, Chainy Captain. For my mistake, I'll show you my Shikaiiiiii~"

Then, a smile curled over Ibiki's face and her face became more dazed after that moment. However, her squad mates had the opposite reaction. If their Captain was going to release here, they knew they needed to take shelter and they started pooling in their energy together. After a few moments, there was a dense shield preventing the area around them from being smashed to bits.

But, alas, it wouldn't be needed. The Oni Captain figured she had more self-control than that.

"My body has just been on edge lately. Wouldn't yours to after facing lunk after lunk trying to destroy your home? Bah, let me just show you. I'm talking too much. =w="

With one final swig of her liquor, The Menacing Devil Girl let out a soft exhaling of breath and seemed to close her eyes. In that moment, the air around them became entirely still.Even with the release of Shinryu's Bankai, the effects were submerged and subdued as if a constricting snake was choking its life essence. Indeed, there was a rich wealth of energy brewing within The Captain -- and it was time to let it loose.

"Let's Smash 'Em Up, Oni-Kyosei...."

In those simple words, a hurricane of energy flooded the area and it sounded as if a tsunami wave was crushing against the lands around them. But, more than that, the sensation behind it seemed -- extraordinary. If his energy perception was as keen as Ibiki believed them to have been, then it could be assumed he'd sense that her body was radiating enough spiritual power to have blown over this entire landscape two, three or maybe four times over. It was if she was holding back the violent force of the sun's flare from scorching land with the amount of authority she had over her energy.

As Ibiki slowly opened her eyes, even they were consumed by a fiery white light that devoured all the color that was once within them. Muscles started to tighten and extend, her height expanded by two inches and an eruption of lavender energy with an outer golden flare surged around the The Menacing Devil's body like a savage flame ready to consume her, and anything else, whole.

And, at this point, most thought she had unleashed her Bankai with the surge of energy that overflowed into the Seireitei, but The Menacing Devil Girl refused to unveil that here. Her Shiaki qualified as a Bankai in its own right and she intended to satisfy her foe with just that. It is why many from the Research Squad had started to assemble around the are, even. With this absurd level of energy outpouring across the Seireitei, they felt as if a new threat had emerged and were ready to assist the Captain; but they soon could tell that this was just an exhibition match and stayed to watch the results of it for further analyzation of the up and coming Captain Shinryu.

"I hope I've honored you this much now that you know some of my potential. But, I can't afford to show my Bankai here. The abnormal strength of my Shikai should provide a worthy equal, however."

As the light faded, the face of the Menacing Devil Girl seemed more stern, but she was in complete control of The Oni within herself. For, at this points, all sorts of snarling and growling could be heard emitting from her aura, but Oni-Kyosei would obey her instincts for they fought as one and Ibiki did not desire to have her aura choke this area dry. But alas, there was no joy in her face as she understood that there was a high chance this fight could be ended in one-shot with how far her powers had developed.

"Prepare yourself. This'll be over soon."

Then, in milliseconds, only a flare of light would envelop the sight of Shinryu. And what came after would be a sensation as if two mountains came crushing down upon him at full force. The strength which Ibiki threw around was now equivalent to taking out a decent size chunk of a city, but her control and displine allowed her to direct the flow of damage across his entire body.

At this point, Ibiki would be surprised if his entire body hadn't shattered in that instant. As this was the level of fighting required to face off against Demonic Kings or Queens, Ex-Captains and top-ranking faction leaders of all their opposing enemies. It is what kept the Seireitei in tact, even despite their slump in numbers and defense. She was one of the pillars of The Soul Society that kept it functional and her strength did indeed match that reflection.

More importantly, there was a second swift chop to the neck aimed at the male in order to send him crushing back to base form. And, the key thing to notice was that -- her speed did not slow. In fact, the toxins from his chains seemed to have zero effect on her at this moment.

How could this be? Simple: Resolve Force.

One of the special traits that her Zanpukto shared, apart from bolstering her strength and durability to ludicrous heights, was the fact it's energy was capable of producing willpower into a tangible force. And, this force sought to always protect Ibiki while in Shikai. Henceforth, the burning embers around her body were not just for show. They served as a layer of defense and utilized her resolve in order to vaporize the poisons from entering into her body. That would then mean she would be able to throw around her strength as she saw fought, and, perhaps, even crack and shatter quite a few of the chains associated with his Zanpukto. As it would be odd if some amount of damage wasn't inflict on him from these two earth-shattering blows.

"...now, do you still doubt my motives, Chainy Captain?"

At this point, Ibiki would be positioned behind him and her voice would sound immensely more somber than before. Since for her to release her shikai meant this was when she started to take a fight with more earnest and gravity. As, the amount of potential The Menacing Devil Girl possessed in her Shikai warranted a Shinigami of 0 Division Caliber to be dispatched against if she were an enemy of the Soul Society. And, unleashing this level of power against someone so far out of her league wasn't an enjoyable thing. There was no honor in that. But, she'd hope he'd at least got what he was looking for.

"And are you not content having seen my power, Chainy Captain?"

Trolling the Brutes Empty Re: Trolling the Brutes

Something was up. She was listening to her talk to him and her squadlings but he could tell something was up. And Shin furrowed his brow at it as he did this analysis. He could pay attention to alot of things in dire situations and dissect them. But what he felt was something different entirely. Something was wrong here.

Something is protecting her.

My guess is it's her Zanpakutō. It's giving her a defense against the mist before it even tries to settle in it's effects. I can guess the same goes for my necrosis also. Unless I overwhelm her defense, which I can't, she will barrier against it.

So she's stronger than you by so much that she just ignores my power? What are you going to do?

Rely on the fact she also knows this and use it against her. Probably in vain but why not?

Shin thought to himself as she unveiled her Shikai to him and he examined it carefully, wondering what new thing's he'd be displayed. Who knows, maybe if he saw something interesting he'd be all set for now. And the blinding light presented didn't help as he tried to gain an analysis of the situation, only to notice she was the source of the light. Made sense given the absurd energy pushing down on him. Granted his Bankai kept him rigid in place. And much more so when it suddenly crushed into him. The force breaking most of the bones in his body in that moment though his Bankai still kept him upright. More importantly, a blow from behind would come and Shin himself barely sensed it but, didn't have the physical power to react and had one chance to dull it enough to stay conscious as the chain links gathered at the base of his neck along with the ten blades to soften the blow, though without much success. However, one of the blades breaking Shin depended on. Only true way to bypass a barrier was to get around it and, even if this was clearly over, Shin still had something to do as if the blade, even a sliver got into her, the parasitic nature would do it's job to make the reiatsu she was using hurt like a bitch and pressure on her heart if it actually succeeded as he listened to her while his vision was failing slightly and turned to her with his Bankai alone.

"I...didn't come here to...see what I already....knew....I came to learn something....new....even though I knew.....I would get my ass handed...to...me....Tiny-taichou...."

Shin said in between spurts of blood from his mouth as his vision faded. In the middle of his talking, his Bankai began to dissolve under the duress of staying conscious. And then as he said her name, it dissolved fully into it's sealed state. And without anything to hold him up, Shin's body would limply collapse as his consciousness faded, not even getting what he came for, he inwardly cursed at himself. It was the first time he hadn't learned something new in a situation.

Trolling the Brutes Empty Re: Trolling the Brutes

Artist: maritumix - Song: Rebirth - Word Count: 1210

The up and coming Vice Captain did well in order to come this far with The Oni Girl's Shikai. There was no way that he could have won this fight as it is, but that meant something more than what he could understood as he was now. To see that determination against all odds to keep fighting was important to becoming stronger. As one cannot give up, not even when the odds are stacked against them. So, to see that fiery spirit within him, and to ask her to fight in earnest, meant that this Vice Captain had the needed traits to indeed become a Captain.

So, to Ibiki, despite his power fading fast, he still won her own internal test of what it took to become a Captain. As, even in his passing breathes, the male still fought to win and did not give sight of his goal. Therefore, in that brief moment, his will managed to reach The Kenpachi's own. When the blade hit, due to the desire of Shinryu, it made contact for a second and made its mark on her right hand.

When the male fell down, The Menacing Devil Girl stared at the crimson fluid dripping from its hand. There was a wince of pain from her arm and she let out a small sucking of her teeth as this burning sensation rushed into her body. It was as if the toxins this male used was attempting to use Ibiki's own power against her.

How -- curious.

There was pain, no doubt about it, but she was not one to be defeated by something like this. By utilizing her Resolve Force, her own determination and will reached an apex point during her Shikai and Bankai states. She was the epitome of drive in these states and it was unfortunate that his poisons faced off against an opponent who was not only stronger than himself, but essentially his polar opposite in this one technique. Henceforth, as this virus attempted to utilize the powers and spiritual energy against Ibiki, The Menacing Devil Girl could only shake her head and break those shackles before they had chance to root deep through her hardened will.

It took a bit of concentration, and a little of energy, but the job was doable and she would seen wincing further in pain before it had been expunged to her body. Unfortunately for him, for the third factor in this defeat, Ibiki was well experianced with foes who attempted to poison her as well. Stemming from a battle against The Mad Demon Lord in the conflict for the Australian War dating back to 2413, Eric Zarathos managed to almost subdue The Oni Captain with such a method at a much higher level and potency than Shinryu. Having learned form her mistake, her body adapted and utilized it's Resolve Force in order to actively reject or attack all foreign matter from entering her body easily. And, if it did manage to enter, to assault it with no mercy.

So, with these metaphorical knives making his grave, the battle was over and the Menacing Devil Girl descended back to her base stage. With a hardened and melancholy sigh, the girl crouched down to Shinryu's level and took a long swig of her mystic gourd's infinite liquor. Once finished, she'd stare at her foe for awhile before coming to the conclusion that she would indeed give him a present for his brazen efforts.

"Something new: I love men with moxy and determination, Chainy Captain."

There was a beaming smile across her face as the waves of sternness dissipated from her face and a flush grin swiftly took its place.

After that moment, The Menacing Devil Girl placed her right hand on back of Shinryu and began utilizing the last dissipating resources of Resolve Force to transfer parts of her spiritual energy into his body. While these types of moves are often used with kido, the barrier which Resolve Force broke through undid that gap for the Captain and allowed her to pass on enriched particles of her spiritual energy into his being. In this way, his body would be able to grow and come back two times stronger than it is today.

"Seal of Resolve: Spiritual Transference~"

She giggled to herself, hoping that her little trick would be just what he needed to get back on his feet after this. As, his Bankai should evolve further, body become more rigid and attacks more potent than ever. But, despite all these great things, that wasn't the important thing to take from this. The purpose of this entire fight was to get him to be aware of his own willpower and what it took to face the monstrous nature of power with little to no fear.

Thus, these particles that were injected into him through this golden light of energy engulfing his body were meant to convey that message. They would be akin to a memory transference and these atoms were intended to transfer this knowledge into his mind. What managed to hit her today was not just sheer technique, but his resolution to continue fighting. And so, her gift to him would be awakening him to that knowledge and pushing him to move that aspect of his spirit further.

If this was his limit? Then the next phase of his training should be pushing to ascend past it and harden his resolve to last longer and better. For, in progression, they were still humans, but taken to the next pinnacle of being.Hence, they needed to take the determination and evolution they had to within their human life and apply to their afterlife. Only then would he see results and her power would seek to unlock that deep potential in him. Constantly jarring at his consciousness to push harder, fighter longer, endure more and seek to ascend beyond his limitations.

With that lesson engraved in his soul, she'd hope he'd take heed and learn from it. It is what allowed her to tap into this vast power within herself. Where others failed or gave up, Ibiki continued moving on despite the setbacks, odds and doubts made against her. Shinryu would have to be the same if he were to remain Captain and face off against the grim foes which were the Soul Society's enemy.

Ergo, with this settled, The Menacing Devil Girl would motion for the division four squadron to haul him away and begin healing him. However, with Ibiki's essence stabilizing him, they'd soon notice some of the more critical injuries within himself were already stabilized and all they needed to do was operate. For, her Resolve Force was holding him together and preventing fatal injuries from occurring. That was the least she could do for the male having faced her true potential.

"Buh-bye, Chainy Captain. I hope you learned something new~"

And with those parting words, The Oni Captain planted a playful kiss on his forehead, turned on her heels and started skipping back to her barracks to continue the daily schedule of The Division Eleven Squads training. Hopefully having departed something of worthwhile to The 2nd Division Captain.

"Because you've got the right nerve to be a Captain~ =w="
