"There is plenty of need to rub it in, kitten. There is need to rub it in for many many moons to come. I will be rubbing it - among other things - forever" Ulv's teasing tone was clear and reinforced by her sticking out her tongue. Still, there was a soft hiss of something escaping Ulv, and she was clearly considerably weaker than she was a moment ago. Whatever the cause of that was, was yet to be determined. But, she did let Midori go off and absorb the sun, before spinning on her heel and smirking a wide and Ulvish grin.

"There is one thing. You wanted a fight and didn't get one. Which sucks. So why don't you come get one? I promise to be mostly gentle" Ulv told Midori, her body in a relaxed and casual stance, just waiting without much worry. Those she did spawn a pair of amber-coloured manacles, the chains were broken so they were pretty useless, but a ferocious determination could be felt coming off them. "If you are worried about breaking something, we can always wear these. Specialized training gear, they drop your power by a rather considerable degree. At full power, I can fight an Unseated without worry, using these"

Midori could not help but sigh in exasperation as Ulv teased her humorously about her defeat. A playful roll of the eyes showed that she was not upset by the humor, but still somewhat salty. Oh well. No one was recording it. It would likely stay between them forever unless Ulv flaunted her victory around the world. She would get a rematch one day. The Remorseless Heroine would not allow such a blemish on her reputation!

Puffing out her chest valiantly as competitive nature was alight within her heart, she turned to Ulv and raised an eyebrow as she spoke. It would seem as though she had no intent to send her off with a goodbye. She had reminded her of how she wished to have a fight.

She knew she was somewhat exhausted from witnessing bear satan but the offer was too good to pass up. Turning to face her with a grin, she looked down at the manacles within Ulv's hands and smiled excitedly as she brought her hands forward.

"I did wish to see how it feels to land a good punch or two in that mouth of yours. I accept the challenge. "

It seems as though this day... would go on longer than she expected. Even so, little would be her complaints. She had a new friend and a rival to enjoy herself for as long as she would like.

Even though Midori originally found herself annoyed by Ulv, further interaction had served to strengthen a bond she felt forming between them. In truth, no matter how many harsh words she uttered, Midori would always have a connection with Ulv due to her past with Mirja.

Such memories would never easily be washed away and Midori felt that connecting with Ulv would posit potential for her to improve her strength of mind rather than her attributes as a warrior.

Ulv had only spoken the truth to her, however harsh it may have been, and even though she had no current desire to pursue anything else, the kiss they shared had somewhat eased the tension between them.

As Ulv fastened the chains to her wrists, Midori likewise did the same and felt a significant decrease in Sol, Prima Materia, Vima, and Aionios. It felt good, to restrict one's self in this state. Midori had always admired those who fought in combat without the use of weapons or magic. She relied on her weapon skill for so long, that battles with her fists were hard to come by.

In this form of battle, she would have to rely on her physical mechanics, her superhuman strength, and moderate boosts according to her nature as a soul-evolution human. Focusing upon Ulv, Midori held the mighty woman with her gaze as she assumed a martial arts stance.

Flashing forward in an instant, Ulv executed a palm strike, her hand rushing towards Midori's face with immense speed and godlike precision. Midori instinctively leaped backward to avoid a strike to the face - however, that hardly proved to be the end of Ulv's attack as her foot rose to meet Midori with a swift kick, where her first strike failed to land. Ulv's mobility was breathtaking, each strike and movement seemed as if her body was born for this type of movement. Her martial prowess was to be admired. Midori made a decision not to evade the second strike, however, as she brought her forearms forward, deflecting her kick as Midori felt her body moved a couple of meters backward.

She had no desire to waste time in securing the offensive advantage or period of the "initial strike" - Midori charged forward, executing an upward strike with her fist, with hoping it would connect to her jaw or chest. If that failed, she would drop towards the ground and execute a sweeping kick towards her legs.

Ulv was a mighty warrior who possessed vast martial prowess. Midori could confirm such a fact from analyzing her movements, however modest they were. She did not predict Ulv would launch an attack in the midst of her own, and a powerful fist crashed against Midori's arm, breaking a few bones throughout her arm in the process.

Truly devastating. Ulv's strikes contained such concussive force that she was certain even mountains would fall before her fists like mere rubble. Midori would have to be careful and plan her attack more carefully the next time.

Midori remained calmly composed, unflinchingly withstanding the blow even though it was painful. Midori possessed many attributes as a warrior and she took pride in physical endurance - mostly due to the lifeblood flowing through her veins.

Its regenerative properties would aid her in this battle, though not to the same extent it may be were these chains not fastened to her hands. Her supernatural attributes were still useful enough to utilize strategy in combat. As she held her martial focus and unleashed the sweeping kick.

It seemed to connect but Ulv was no novice, so there was nothing to celebrate as she recalibrated her body back into attack mode. The fierce woman landed upon her hands and executed a technique that seemed to be reminiscent of Capoeria. Midori was no supreme martial artist but she was advanced enough to hold her own.

That said, none of that mattered as she was unprepared for the kick, fluid and without wasted movement, it connected and hit the remorseless heroine's ribs. That one hurt. Turning to face her once more, Midori held herself in a defensive stance. Rather than strike again, she would analyze her movements and style before she made any rash decisions.

Confirming that Ulv was clearly a master of her craft - concerning martial prowess - Midori knew that the possibility of securing an advantage, let alone victory, was highly improbable.

It wasn't a difference in speed nor outmatched physical attributes - such differences were easily overcomeable.

When faced with someone who seemingly possessed immense skill with her fists, there was a greater obstacle to surmount than physical measurements or speed.

Midori was not bereft of martial prowess herself, yet she would be remiss not to admit that none of that ever centered around hand-to-hand combat. If Midori were holding a blade or two, she could easily match Ulv's movements and trace her movements much more accurately, using her blade to deflect the strike and counter in an instant. There was no sword, no bow, no spear, only her fists. There was a pronounced expression of blood-colored joy in her expression. Broken ribs served as a reminder of her misstep in countering a strike.

It was too fun! Warriors with an overly-inflated ego may have felt ashamed to lack the necessary tools to secure victory, and yet the remorseless heroine was thrilled beyond recognition. Her Aionios slowly began to heal the cracked bones within her rib. The healing was far from instantaneous, however.

Thus, if Ulv planted a kick there once more, the pain would likely return. Ulv settled into her martial stance once more and leaped forward, executing another series of unparalleled movements.

First, it was a kick which seemed to not really be anything spectacular as far as martial technique was concerned. Naturally, she retreated, yet once again her nature as a novice was on full display. For as soon as she had evaded Ulv's swift kick, her body would spin around and launch another kick, directed at her skull. Midori reflexively brought her arms up to protect her head, barely avoiding the prospect of a knockout kick to the skull.

Her arms took the brunt of the damage and Ulv would most likely hear the sound of cracked, broken muscles once again. Midori looked towards Ulv with confidence.

Even if she lacked the necessary prowess of a master, she would find a way to strike Ulv at least once. To indicate that intention, she uttered a familiar phrase, holding a defensive stance.

"I can do this all day..."

"Too much Captain America? Nonsense. There is no such thing as too much cap, Ulv. Those movies still hold a special place in my remorseless heart, " Midori quipped, smiling with humorous glee as she settled into her defensive stance. Though she may not possess much versatility in this form of hand-to-hand combat, stratagem would still prove to be a valuable weapon to her in this battle. Most would no doubt agree that skill would always overpower strategy - no matter how resilient the one bereft of skill was. The more dominant element would subdue all that stood before it.

Ulv curiously wondered why Midori had not yet decided to use a weapon, even though it would likely grant her a much-needed equalizer.

To an extent, one could say that this battle was to broaden her horizons; the raven-haired woman would certainly agree. There was no joy in undertaking the route that provided the most success.

A warrior's aim should always be to prepare for the unexpected, steeling oneself for battles that would test their mettle and improve their skill. Midori had felt this to be just such an opportunity. Perhaps she would grab Goujian and re-engage but... at this moment, her heart was filled with an uncontainable sense of excitement.

That said, she decided that suffering too many strikes from Ulv even with these manacles on her hand would still quickly end in her defeat. Midori's endurance was always a mixture of her own and the mystic lifeblood that flowed through her veins.

It was no longer time to remain in a defensive stance forever. When Ulv executed her next attack, Midori intended to execute a successful counterattack. Ulv had held herself in preparation, allowing the regenerative agent within her blood to heal the damage to her bones.

As Ulv did so, Midori swiftly weaved lines of Vima around her body, applying the energy in a way that she normally utilized whilst wielding a weapon. It allowed her body to always be in a continual state of motion, high-speed that defied the laws of physics.

The manacles likely subdued much of the greater effect it could achieve but that was not the end of her strategy. Before Ulv made her next move and granted her this time to heal, Midori gracefully weaved her body through the air as if it were a dance, tracing invisible lines of this metaphysical energy around her.

Thus, a twofold strategy was the intention. Each line was constructed with the thought of counters in mind. She would increase her own speed - even if it was suppressed - and simultaneously increase Ulv's depending on the route, movement, or aim she chose to enact.

It would only be a small, very slight increase, but the idea - in theory - was to increase her speed beyond her intent, impeding the accuracy of her strikes, an overshoot so to speak. It could backfire, but Midori hoped it would work. Ulv launched into her next attack, this time a blow to the sternum. Midori decided to execute her attack, as her ardent hope was that Ulv's attack would temporarily divert from its intended path - and if so, an opportunity would open to land a blow. Tapping into the lines traced around her body, her speed increased - albeit temporarily due to suppressed power - she shot forward in a whiplike motion, thrusting her palms outward underneath Ulv, towards her chest. Perhaps her strategy would work or it would fail entirely.

Just. One. Strike.
