The journey to return where his King once lingered was often a nostalgic one. He wore a Captain's Haori again, though he came dressed in casual clothing. Wearing a black uniform and some more old school Japanese clothing. He'd not adapted to the punk or different styles others had. He walked by the familiar places, sights seen a thousand times. Urahara's shop, the way to the old Vanguard base. Or the Vizard Corps Headquarters that was now vacant.

A mission was coming up, so wisdom was something he always wanted. He had a dango stick in his mouth, having eaten a green one, yet leaving a pink and white one. How long had it been since he looked at this place. His former home had been condemned and would soon be cleared out.

Most of the tenants who lived in it had since left the place. He pulled it from his mouth, thinking back to when Colin showed him it. Affordable he said, yeah it was. But the relationship he had with his peers had been good. His family had moved here, son, sister, brothers, and now the old man was sick. Seemed like he had either good luck or rotten luck.

"Man, it's sad to see it go. Wonder what they'll put there when the building is gone?" He said absentmindedly, thinking about how this building reflected his life and world. So much of the past was being torn down for something new. Changes were a part of life, especially a long one. Five hundred years, you saw things come and go. He felt the tension and even nerveness.

This was his first time taking his Squad out to the field. Going out somewhere and handling a situation. He'd been a crusader once upon a time. He often knew himself as a Knight. One who served the King Zin Yuudeshi, but the Knight lost his castle and his King. Now he served a different lord, not one who shared ideals.

This was the evolution and change he saw in the world, reflecting and just thinking about how many people lived here. How their world changed time and time again. That was what stuck out to him the most.

Saisei | The King's Reawakening

With a stretch, Saisei did his best to stand from what was the rubble of his nap. Karakura was a relatively busy city, bustling at each and every corner during the day. The alcove the boy occupied was silently off the side of your average, everyday neighborhood street. A sheepish smile filled the void that was his cheeks. The people of Karakura, when not egged on, were always willing to keep the peace it seemed.

The nap had come at the expense of an early morning mail order, something people rarely sought nowadays. With the ever growing technological front that came with Karakura, mail was a thing the past. Only the few and far between were interested in hand delivered goods these days. That was Saisei's job, Quincy business during the week, mail during the weekend. It was something he had grown accustomed to at this point, so why stop now?

Shrugging his tiredness off of his weary body, the boy gathered his overcoat from the ground and went about his business. A gentle stroll quickly turned into a spastic run, Saisei was already late for his next delivery. The small letter in his coat pocket was meant to be brought to a neighboring street to the one he occupied, his nap running for just a tad too long. The constant thinking his brain was trying to do had him entirely distracted to the world around him, causing him to come crashing down in front of the dark haired stranger. Tumbling to his knees with a surprised look as his face, Saisei checked the status of the letter and turned towards the man.

"Letter's fine it seems. Sorry about that, in a bit of a rush."

Saisei laughed the mistake off before dusting himself off and preparing to move on with his day.

He was distracted, of course, he could have avoided it. But as the male hit him, he hit the ground feeling his head bounce off the concrete. He felt a bit confused, as he blinked a few times before sitting up. He took stock and ran events back through his mind.

The guy came in and ran into him, he was a courier of some sort. Working to deliver a letter as expediently as possible. His head hurt, having obviously knocked the wind out of him. He slowly got himself up, dusting himself off. Not noticing blood beginning to trickle down his forehead.

He answered casually, unaware of the injury as he didn't know how hard he hit the ground. "Don't worry about it, are you alright?" He stood there as blood dripped through his hair. Each drop beginning to flow through the dark lengths.

It ran down his forehead and off his nose. Coming down ina straight line, he didn't say anything. But he did feel something making him a bit off balance. But he was fine far as he could tell, though he did finally notice. Bringing a hand up to the back of his head. When he brought it forward to examine it.

The crimson color stained his palm and digits. It didn't hurt too bad, though his body didn't care for it. Blood would be hard to explain to his Squad, an injury obtained outside of combat. From a person running and him being distracted. This would be best forgotten. But it required the silence of one person more than others.

The courier himself would need to be sworn to silence, never telling a soul of this. Certainly, some would try to bribe him or swear him to some blood ritual of the cat gods. He believed in faith in people but did ponder what the guy was thinking now.

Saisei | The Vandenreich Frontline

Saisei, despite his best efforts to continue with his hit and run, came to skidding stop. He was taught better. Anyone with a decent upbringing would know better than to leave someone stranded after an injury. Turning back and letting go of the letter, the boy walked back to the stranger. Reluctantly, as anyone could tell.

"I'm used to the falls, comes with my line of work. I think I should be asking you how you are, frankly."

Saisei looked concerned now, his fingers adjusting and pointing towards the streak of blood flowing from his head. The stranger didn't look any worse for wear but... Blood was blood. Saisei pulled what seemed like a small, makeshift pouch from his pocket. It wasn't much but when the boy went on his delivers you could never really tell what was going to happen. With that being the case, he always tried his best to keep a few bandages and antiseptic wipes on him at all times.

Handing the bandages to the man, Saisei did his best to start working on his forehead. Whether he allowed Saisei to wipe him down meant little, his mom taught him that it was always important to take care of those you put in harms way. If you're at fault, you're the only one that can solve the issue.

"Mom always told me to take care of others. Hope it isn't too awkward to help you out. What're you doin' here? Place is gettin' torn don't ain't it?"

Saisei shuffled his head towards the house. The boy has passed it more times than he could count, the fact it was finally out the door was surprising to be frank.

"Used to be yours or somethin'?"

His injuries began recovering almost instantly, perhaps why he'd not minded. But the blood did remain, his expression remained a bit blank. He'd been lost in his world that is why this happened. The fires and embers inside him did burn brightly. He'd been showing more and more determination as time went.

"Thank you, I apologize again for being in my own world. " He said letting the male do as he pleased, though his wounds had begun healing. It would take a bit of time for them to fully close. Recovery powers of his inner hollow were remarkable in his eyes.

"I used to live in one of the rooms, my family and I before they passed on. It's a nostalgic reminder of stranger days for me." He said considering all the outlandish things he'd come to witness over the years. The timeless moments spent adrift in the life he'd come to acknowledge.

"I think I spent more time here than any other place after the accident happened. It's strange you know, the things you miss when they are gone. I used to hate watching my family bicker, now it's just a strange silence." He said commenting on the oddity in reflection, looking at the ever-changing times.

He was an older Crusader in a modern world, that was what it felt like to him.

He couldn't help but feel for the man before him. Saisei didn't really come from anywhere but the Sugiura Realm. Better yet, the Sugiura were far from what one would call an ideal family. Arguing, bickering and politics always filled the halls of the Northern Royal Castle. Nevertheless, family is family. Saisei knew that all too well.

"No need to apologize. I get whatcha mean, I find myself in my own world every once in awhile."

As the stranger spoke, the boy stood idly by and tended to his bloodied skin. Noting the increased regeneration and rather quick stitching of his wound, Saisei could formulate that he was clearly something entirely different than him. It wasn't the first time he encountered and unknown being, it was rather often at this point actually.

"What happened to the home? Did you and the folks just move on or? Not trying to pry, I just know that every time I've passed the house it's always been rather empty. Most homes on this street seemed to have been a product of the past, actually."

Blunt, Saisei's words rang true. The street was filled with homes that were quickly being left in hopes of finding a nice little place in the center of the city. With the expansion of affordable housing and high end technology, Karakura was seeing a steep decline in old fashioned homes being purchased. This wasn't too surprising but it didn't keep people from holding onto their dearest possessions.

"Couldn't have been that bad, right?"

His eyes looked distantly at the clearing and what it would become. The future waited for no one, it strode over the broken and forgotten. His eyes stared for a moment before responding. A smile forming on his lips, it was a happy memory. Bickering and fighting, his adopted child and kin. The work put in an effort to survive in this world.

"Passed on, all of them have to be honest. It's sad in a way, that this vestige of our memories will be demolished soon. But it will be a place for new memories to be made. New people will enter here and live a fruitful life. "
He said acknowledging that he understood that it was going to pass on. This torch that was, would move forward. Like the Vizard Corps, the many people who lived in that world.

He smiled as he closed his eyes, thinking about it. "Hehe, it certainly was an adventure, one that I lived to see close its book on." Feeling the weaving threads of his scalp healing. It was a feeling, he inhaled as he looked on.

"There isn't a quick fix to anything, it is something I came to learn here. I remember when Karakura housed three organizations. The merger between the Vanguard, Yajyuu, and Vizard Corps didn't really solve what people thought it would. " He said looking at the building falling, his eyes looking at it closely.

Maybe he would begin seeking hybrids out as well as his fellow Vizards. Begin building a home for them, a place they could feel safe old and new. But again, was he the person to do that job?

He was recently made the Captain of the Gotei, that came first above all else. Making the Squad feel like a home for the people there, offering them training and development. A place they could feel safe, a home that was the word.

"Yayjuu and Vizard Corps were home for people, who struggled with what was a frightening prospect. Waking one day to having a hollow inside you or another being. I feel for those who have come to this place. Lux Orior doesn't offer as much care with it. They made little effort to recruit the officers or remnants of the Vizard Corps or Yayjuu. "

He felt that wishful thought in his heart, a place for people to feel safe. To build a life that didn't involve the constant shuffling and people there who understood. That fear and inner terror inside one. He'd become a master of his Hollow largely, baring some incidents.

"Ah well, I digress not as though I can change the world that much these days."

Saisei | The Vandenreich Frontline

"I see..."

Saisei couldn't help but feel like he understood all too well what the man spoke of. He felt like he hadn't really seen many vizards in his life. Even then, the last he had ever learned about The Yayjuu or the Vizard corps would have been in the memories that recently flooded back. Azure iramasha knew of the orgs only by association due to his leadership in The Vanguard, something Saisei was thoroughly clear of now. It seemed that Yoshitsune had ties to many of the old guard in this tiresome life.

Pulling away from the man, Saisei tucked away the wipes he had previously used on his bloodied skin. It was best to disposes of these sometime soon. If he were to be stuck around with the man, that'd be fine. After all, he seemed to be relatively nice company. Quiet, not timid but almost expecting of something. It was fascinating to interact with people like this, he was able to view into the past without real effort when people like this were concerned.

"I don't know much about Vizards, let alone the groups they inhabited. I've never met a Hybrid either I think... The Vanguard though, I've heard of them. Not... my personal experience, I guess. It's kinda hard to explain, maybe too long and too unbelievable. I'm willing but not entirely sure of how to tell you haha."

His infectious smile appeared, Saisei felt at ease talking to the man despite their immediate relationship. For a stranger, he felt far too homely to truly worry about. It was nice, he couldn't help but find himself feeling like he could spill his guts without hesitation.

"A home is never simply a place, I like to think. The people you keep around you and intend on partaking in life with are also a home, right? I like to believe I have a home here on earth, even though I can't return to my real home..."

It couldn't be helped, the boy's words spilled as he thought of the Sugiura Realm. He missed home, no matter the circumstances at hand he always felt like things weren't exactly the greatest here on earth. Everything was a struggle, after all. Back home, he was but a simple prince working for his royalty family. He learned, day in and day out.

It was a far, far simpler life than this...

He smiled a bit, as he felt a connection between them. The old guard what remained of it anymore. Shadin remained locked away somewhere. Zin had gone to some other place, Colin was in the Wasteland. Even the rival Monsuta were gone now, it was just him from those days. The real miracle was surviving and going forward, but more than that.

His place wasn't to be the savior or builder of a new world. He was a Swordsman, a warrior of the bygone age. His blade survived that era and went past Stefan Soan and other notable masters of it. People who'd fallen and died, the new age came and consumed them into it.

"Vizards are..well no different from you, we all struggle and have problems we face. Some peoples are inside in the spiritual realm. From the strongest person to the weakest. I don't think a difference exists, only in the role we take up." He said softly, explaining Vizards as normal people. No different from people you run into on the street.

Just as Saisei had run into him, it was an interesting prospect. "I'd be happy to hear your story, no matter how strange. The stranger the circumstance the more real it turns out to be." Yoshitsune's smile was calm and warm, akin to grandparents. He'd survived the world and lived through the chaos.

They're certainly were better fighters than him. Even better people, who could use resources and influence much more wisely. He was a fighter, someone who stepped on the sands to fight.

But he was older now and wiser for his time in the world. Lending an ear could be more effective than any blade at times. People walked a line without ever realizing how deeply it struck within. Inner turmoil and saving one's self was an entirely different venture.

But the man before him had an air of someone who had a tale he'd never heard about. So he sat his ears ready and willing to listen.

They may be strangers but Saisei and Yoshitsune seemed to be two peas in a pod in regards to their past. He turned away from the newly found friend and placed his hands against his neck. It was best to be clear and concise, he thought. For a story such as his it had to be simple otherwise, why would anyone believe him?

"Alright. Easier said than done but I can definitely try."

As a Human born within the Sugiura realm, it was far more complicated to make himself clear than he liked. Nevertheless, the stranger asked so he was going to oblige him. How hard was it to tell someone you think you're the reincarnation of a famed Organization leader? Couldn't be that hard, right? Definitely not.

"Well. To put it simply, I am what you'd call a reincarnation I guess. Azure Iramasha, some dead man, was the previous owner of my soul. I guess thats how you would elaborate on it. He died, I was plucked from the remnants and brought into this world. Not exactly the most wonderful upbringing but, it was better than not existing I guess."

His smiled dissipated, the boy's eyes grew dark as emotion faded from his face. Saisei couldn't help but feel a wave of somber acceptance approach him whenever he brought up his existence. It seemed so simply for most but to him, it was almost like experiencing a real life sense of imposter syndrome. Saisei was but a figment of a man. To him, he was the one left as a simple clone.

"It's a bit frustrating, really. Almost like being a little clown, something left to fend for itself. Laughed at by the world. N-Not that anyone actually laughs at me, it's more that I can't help but think if people were to know Saisei is actually Azure Iramasha, well..."

His words trailed off, the idea that the general public here in Karakura finding out scared him to near death. If ex-members of The Vanguard were to find out... He wouldn't get to exist as himself for much longer, now would he?
