Liltotto Lamperd

"It was not," Her tongue changed to one that Akira may be more familiar with little warning, losing no fluency as the split second decision was to express her thoughts in a language that wouldn't be immediately understandable to most around her, spoken with a manner of haste that only an active and immediate listener would understand what she was saying, "My... "difference", mattered a lot in the past, and not in a good way. "Difference" at all would not have bode well for outliers, in an older Vandenreich you would not have even been considered that - you'd be dead, or shunned."

She had the sense he was looking upon her, but she was looking closely at him herself, "You do not have to make me feel better with positivity shit, I do not have any push to live with my head down. I am lucky to have survived long enough to be in someplace more welcoming of what I am."

Her eyes narrowed near into slits, her tongue switching back into her typical language, "But hey, I guess you might get some points for bein' a Vizard. At least, if that inner hollow's in check. I wouldn't be shocked if the chuckleheads up on yonder looked you sideways."

AKIRA TAIRITSU

Akira watched Liltotto, her reiatsu, each little detail beyond the eye of a normal creature. It was an unnerving experience to stare into an abyss that somehow stared back, a lingering gaze that might be considered a bit too zoney. Japanese? Huh. It was then a brow came to rise at Liltotto’s response, a soft exhale following, her words claimed such yet her attitude didn’t give him the energy that she believed them. The former Vandenreich were known to be a little more, racially hostile so to speak. Ironic. The Gotei refuses anyone who isn’t Shinigami yet here they stand, atop us all.

."We all, I suppose, are a little different. You’re right regarding this being a rather welcome organisation.

He retorted in his home tongue, only for her to switch now. Wait?! She knew he was a Vizard? Joy. There was a brief response on this physically that saw him halt, a squint of each eye that told a thousand stories of mistrust, a glaze of anxiety surging out yet the coping mechanism of large exhales assisted. It was then a shrug occurred, returning to a usual, neutral state of warmth.

."So you figured that out? Impressive. I would aswell if I were them. I’m not a Shinigami by all accounts, there is no point in pretending to be anything other than an unpredictable anomaly of the natural balance. -We- outliers though, if you wish to put it do have a rather nice gift. To see outside the box, means we can assess things differently, believe in things that others can’t and by the end, by some miracle. Useful

It was then a pair of finger guns was offered to Liltotto.

."You’re one of the few women I have met that hasn’t been aggressively trying to take my life or run away. That’s rather unique I would say, did that occur often for you? People being scared that is.

Liltotto Lamperd

What was with this guy? It was like he had a hard time focusing just looking at her... Was this just another weird behavior she was overthinking, or was he seeing something he hadn't grasped before? Well, she'd definitely fit that bill, but apart from his strange eyes she had no immediate indication of what was causing him to look at her in such a funny way, not that she was offended; she'd been looked at in far worse lights.

Though, that look would change with her sudden unveiling of knowing what he was, those colors of mistrust and anxiety clear as day to her as her neutral gaze returned, the scent of stress growing apparent to her; must've touched a nerve. Of course she did - no Vizard in their right mind would feel safe and secure with a hollow at their core and wary peers all around, waiting for the day they snap and get an excuse to dispose of the monster they already see them as. A sense of instinctive pity and sympathy befell her gaze, only for her nose to scrunch a bit with his attempt at finding camaraderie in their aberrant state of being.

Her expressive put-offness only worsened with him pulling finger guns at her. Joy. She rolled her eyes, nowhere near in the state of mind to wonder about his apparently colorful experience with the female gender,

"I'm a freak that eats everything and has jaws that cleave through steel like soft butter. You'd be a fucking moron to not be scared of me," Her tone was tired and a little impatient with the Vizard as she continued leading him, but a little amused admittedly, "That's all freaks like me can be to make up for our freakishness - Be useful. If you aren't a help, a curiosity, or even a funny little thing to blame all evils unto, then you're just a hindrance. That's how it works, that's how people work, it's how the world works."

Akira’s eye visibly couldn’t arch higher at the commentary offered by Liltotto. Freak? She was on about this reiatsu that quite admittedly was rather interesting, a bit off putting though he wasn’t a specialist on what wasn’t and was normal. It’s a shame, to see those with gifts beyond all doubt natural to believe themselves ostracized by a world that frankly, required more of them. By the end of her tangent, Akira’s silence was all but deafening before that smile broke entirely into a warmth, a laughter that was genuine beyond belief.

."Listen, Kirby. I’m aware that reiatsu is quite odd though extraordinary and is most likely connected to this unfortunate perception you have about this unique skill set. You mistake it though, a freak is as subjective as ideology. I hate to become philosophical but unless you’re on some leash, not in the fun way mind you that others are into, or aren’t waging a war of self control to not commit egregious acts of violence. You can’t be a freak. Shinigami all have unique powers. So do Quincy. Thus my curiosity why this skill makes you any different.

The tirade though ended, once more terrible with any social engagement that was genuinely social and not him acting in accordance to an assignment. One could wonder if someone so self aware was also so deluded, yes, yes they could be. So much wisdom was easy to turn on others though on himself? Denied outright. Why should she feel like it was so monstrous?

."We all have a level of uniqueness that if weaponised becomes a strength that can’t falter. I can't stop you from feeling that way nor I suppose can I comfort anything, merely take it from an entity like myself and feel good regarding that..

That scrunched look of scrutiny loosened with the man's laughter, appearing a little confused by how true of a laugh it was. Not that she anticipated he was making fun of her, but the reaction wasn't one she expected... Then he hits her with that kind of opening; her confusion turned to dry amusement, eyes drooping and brows raising as she let him wind and wind on his little tangent of things she's heard and affirmed before. The intent was there, and it was nice, but she would put a hand on his shoulder,

"Bud, I don't need the speech. I'm fine with being a freak - how other people react to that is their own problem. I'm... Nothin' you've ever come across; that's the best way to put it, and that's just a fact. I'm not squirmin' in my skin over what I am, at least not anymore."

Hand dropping, she'd softly shrug her shoulders, "Don't.. Worry about it. It's not a big deal. We're getting close to an office by the way; but i'll make sure you're attended to properly about living arrangement shit. Not that I don't appreciate the reach for understanding, I just... You are.... I... It's complicated."

AKIRA TAIRITSU

The man blinked rapidly.

Liltotto seemed so aware of her existence in this self deprecating acceptance, an odd creature. She was correct, though a hand that moved to the shoulder caused a brutal tension within every muscle fibre on the lithe male, an instinctive reaction to strike. It took alot. The man eventually relaxed though as she brought her hand off the shoulder, smiling softly.

Upon her conclusion, Akira let out a thoughtful hum of the complicated element. It was. That unique aura was beyond anything he’d ever seen, accompanied by a clear distaste for it. Whatever it is, he wanted to study it though by extension, maybe befriend this individual. It was easy to call it complicated, he’d say the same thing about being a Vizard. Everyone held their complications. It was then they reached the office, to get things sorted.

."I appreciate your assistance, Liltotto. Consider me thoroughly sorted for my future in the Vandenreich. May your day be a little more entertaining, continue that confidence and self affirmation. Hm?

He smirked before twisting on his heel, moving a little away then abruptly halting and offering a brighter smile.

."Oh. Don’t be a stranger, us freaks need to stick together don’t we?

With a soft chuckle further, Akira then left within the confines of the City….
