Personality: Arrogance hangs around this Elite Rider as his voice dominates over the other elites. He acts and thinks as his answers are always right. Being extremely judgmental, he favors those who he sees as deserving of his blessing or his curse. He favors those who are able to stand against impossible odds with great bravery, but looks down upon those who are defeated in one of many ways. Deus is not the oldest nor Deus is the first, but with the ideal elemental of Absolution, Deus only sees the truth as either yes or no.

Brief History: Being one of nine elite riders in Vohlis’s army, Deus can be considered one of the Vasto Lordes of the Demon Maggots since there are only nine of them and they are powerful enough to stand up to two shinigami captains on their own. In comparison to support the claim, the Orcs are the lesser, Trolls are the Gillians, Riders are the Adjuchas and the Elite Riders are the Vasto Lorde in terms of Menos Hierarchy. Deus is known to the other cohorts as the most powerful as his powers can define the meaning between life and death by changing the fate of his targets either to benefit his cohort or to make the fight more worthwhile. Although he acts on his own, he still follows Vohlis as a god and his goal is to die favored by Vohlis than to die in shame.

Basic Powers:
Magical Absorption: Any spiritual/magical attack upon a rider or an elite rider is initially absorbed into the rider’s sword (if the rider was aware of the attack to begin with and was pointing at the attack.) When absorbed, the magical/spiritual energy is then used as an impenetrable barrier for other magical/spiritual attacks from any direction for a full round. It’s flaw is that any physical attack can bypass it.

Magical Counterattack: After being absorbed, the magical/spiritual energy can be used as a ranged attack from the rider to the targets within the wave’s reach. The wave’s conical angle is 120* (wide range spread.) However, there is no addition to the use, so what was absorbed is also released at same strength. Despite its name, the technique does not restrict to only the original attacker.

Blessing of Eden: Whenever his raises his sword to the sun and the light reflects upon the individual, the individual receives the blessing that allows the individual to cheat death by “divine intervention.” The benefit behind it is that the character survives when it would have been killed definitely, but the downside of it is that the affected will be teleported to Deus immediately with full recovery, so the chances of receiving the blessing after “death” would be less likely as Deus would see that blessing as a waste of will upon the defeated.

Curse of Eden: When struck by his sword, the individual’s powers dwindle to the point of useless for a while, but it can be dispelled by receiving the Blessing from Deus. Otherwise it will last 10 rounds at max.
