Out with the old & In with the new (Private - CPK) - Page 2 Empty Re: Out with the old & In with the new (Private - CPK)

Isn't that just great... the outcome of her actions was becoming exactly what she had feared. She would have never wished these outcomes to on the two captains, not for her sake. Whether it was because of her undying determination or her pretty face she didn't want to be the cause of such a battle. The two would definitely lose their positions as captain if things go to be physical. Eliah wouldn't let these actions stand, not due to her own emotions. That wouldn't fit Eliah's new lifestyle, not too long ago something such as this would slid with her. She'd simply shrug it off, but times were different for her. She didn't want to be the cause of conflict anymore, she wanted to be the cause of the solution. She wanted to be the reason their problems found salvation through her actions. She was tired of being the troubled duck and she'd refuse to continue her adolescent actions of rebellion and feeding to her anarchist behaviors of taking the easy way out.

She could recall being called lazy by that of her higher-ups within the second squad, but the very same people would come to her asking her to do the most minuet of tasks. Had she been given responsibility, she would have responded near accordingly. At least it would be better than what she was before, but no they refused to give her such opportunities due to her negligence in with completing her tasks earnestly. These were the consciences to her actions, and she had become grateful for what Captain Wolf had presented her. He even found qualities within her that she, herself, was able to realize. Just by knowing how the second squad operated he was able to depict where Eliah's future was headed with them and granted her permission to join him, but why was she hesitant that to say that was enough? She battled with herself laying in her new barracks wondering why she chose him, what made her different from the rest of the slums that were in the Gotei 13. She just couldn't find the answer, maybe it was just an opportunity and it was as simple as that. She'd refuse to accept it as so, though. She sought out power and that's what she would get, but she'd never think to find herself on all fours groveling for the approval of another Captain. Was it all just a cry for help or was she being true to her dreams and trying to accomplish them without fault. Her mind still battled with itself to search for the answers.

Lio questioned the seventh squad's captain about her tears and whether he was the influence to them, which was true in a sense. As if it weren't for the two crossing paths and exchanging such deep thoughts through eye contact she wouldn't have been dwindling for answers as she was now. However, she felt as though these tears were long needed as she hadn't expressed her feelings in so long to anyone, not to this extent. She need this emotional outburst it would be a key component to her future. She knew the three would look back on it once she made it to a captain's spot and laugh over the matter. As of right now though, the heat and tension between the two captains began to rise. Wolf began to speak words that would once again grab her heart from her chest and pulsate in sync with vibrations from his own speech. It was the exact reaction that she would expect from her humble, yet cold-hearted captain. She knew that the man cared even though they had only shared the same squad for such a minuet amount of time. However, since that time Eliah had put in a lot of work on her own laboring away at trying to become strong enough for her Zanpakutō's acceptance. However, she felt as though it just was never going to be enough. Thus, she consulted the new captain with the opportunity to let her grow as well. Though, she was a bit surprised that Wolf was pleased with her outreach toward another source. It most likely had something to do with him being the reason that he was where he was today.

Suddenly Eliah's pupils became pins as her captains reiatsu began to make the air denser, however he'd keep it to a suitable level for Eliah's sake. She knew that wasn't even near the extent of his power, but it was enough for the ground to say otherwise. Yet, for some reason or another the moment had just clicked. She all of a sudden dried her eyes up as Wolf began to speak to her once more. Ambition. This was the key component she was missing, she had goals and she had sought fill them, but she had never though of them much deeper than completing them and continuing on. She hadn't looked at the entire picture, she suddenly began to picture herself providing the same words of wisdom to some as pitiful as she was at these dire times. Her fists began to tremble as anger began to overtake her emotions. How foolish could she have been to let such vein thoughts of her superior fall into her mind thinking that he would scold her in her efforts to obtain her ambitions. If anything he would praise the efforts. She truly was grateful for the man, she'd have to prove to him that her efforts would not be stopped by such emotions as these.

The two exchanged banter toward one another while she had been contemplating her errors and as Zeda finished up he walked over to her and spoke words of his own wisdom to her. The words spoke as true as Wolf's did and set her heart ablaze ready to set fire to any obstacle that would pose a threat. Yet, she felt betrayed as he finished his sentence. The words caused her to flinch, they made her feel as though she was just a piece of meat. How could one sentence lead to such an astray one? Perhaps she just took it in the wrong way, but what did he intend on doing in his barracks with her? It was obvious that he too would seek power. What better way to portray such power than to take advantage of the petite woman?

"No!" She shouted as she began to regain her footing. It was now that she had come to realize that she would not require his help, his help would not be needed. His rivalry would, she would surpass him. She would do more than that, she would be his demise. She would take his spot as captain no matter what squad he was in and she would do so with her own ability and power. His strengths would mean nothing to her once she had unlocked her own. This was the drive she needed. "Thank you, Wolf... Your words have healed whatever the hell it was going through my head. I am forever grateful to such words. However... Her fists began to ball up at her sides as her teeth began to cling together as though they were magnetic opposites unable to separate one another. She snapped her head diagonally to the left and flinched as she thought of the words she was about to unleash unto her new rival. "Zeda...Yuudeshi... Captain of the Seventh Squad. I will surpass you. You are a flawed Captain in many aspects, you exist in the shadows of those before you...I will not fall to the same fate." Her speech was now perfectly clear, but sent in a very monotonous manner. She looked to Wolf still holding her palms in anger. "You've completed this task, I ask your guidance... but first I must know his power." She let out a demonic smirk as she finished her sentence. She knew that Wolf would be all for testing the limits of his prior Captain. "However, being that Captain Yuudeshi is a man of the book, we will take these to grounds that he approves of. With all due respect. Her head snapped back to the direction as the look that would send children into tears dredged deep into the eyes of Zeda Yuudeshi. She had heard rumors of the their family's power, but she wouldn't let rumors overtake her decision on who was the best Captain here. That would be tested through trial, though it was much to ask of her Captain he most likely would enjoy the action.

It wasn't every day these situations happened after all...

The drops of death, the radiating fall and the wish of one who was to strike at the dying embers. Wolf stared not moving, never speaking as these 2 made there cases both managing to stir the world around them. Neither would relent in there ways regardless of his challenge the man he had once seen as a protector of the gotei turned striding away. Wolf seemed almost saddened by this factor, he watched a man who once showed his strength when it mattered, always wiling to step up to a challenge and help others. But this man was a shell just a husk walking away after rambling on about pure shit.

The strike of butterfly wings , a simple way of saying it all could change. And right now the change that was bore had shown itself. Wolf could see the light in Elis eyes as she threw her words at the "ladies man" that was Zeda, it was almost funny to see someone else get all fired up over something like this, perhaps that was the reason Wolf had seen some potential in the girl. Or perhaps the man was just striving to give strength to one who needed it more than his frail ass. And right now the fatigue was striking him even more than usual, his chest was heavy a bead of sweat dripping down his face, his vision blurry ... this was not a good time for him to come here...

The mans signs were beginning to show, the medication he was using to hold back any symptoms of his disease had yet to be taken due to Wolfs outright desire to make his presence here known. Pulling a small box from his jacket the man rose it to his lips and opened the cap letting the small pills drop down and slide right down his throat. Within a second he would lower the box before having a sort of coughing fit, his smoke flying to the ground its embers bouncing as it hit the pavement. Wolf covered his mouth trying to hold it all back and not show his weakness, and slowly as he calmed the 2 in front of him still nearing the end of there speeches he'd rise the sickness he carried once again hidden to all those around him.

As all the talk had come to a close Wolf took in the words of these 2 brats his mind contemplating the raw actions of what could happen here, sure he could destroy and show his true defiance, even try and kill Zeda, but all Wolf could think was "is it truly worth it?" with a sigh he let his hand brush the back of his neck, all he could wish is that he hadn't dropped his smoke. the ideals that the others were fighting for was vague, the girl had already issued a challenge like no other to a man probably well above her, and Zeda had walked away from a challenge...

You are right, he is a man who obeys rules even if he is running. You may choose the time ans place "captain" it seems only fair, plus i'm already on probation for my last bit of ... renovation to the Seireitei. There is one thing though .... this isnt your fight now Eli, you will gain power eventually and soon you may even take both of us down, but right now .... this is a personal matter.

Wolf eyes were filled with ambition for once, even with all of the things within his life he was ready to fight and show just what he'd become. However as he said his words to Eli he would turn to look over at the man who took the mantel of the 7th divisions captain his head throbbing over all this damn useless talk... all of it just pointless. And this time he'd not back away from speaking the truth or refuse talk at all and just lash out at the man for this was something he wanted very much for Zeda to truly listen to and hear.

You wish to know jut how formidable an opponent that was bred under the force of what was it? a brutal death? your just a nonsensical brat spouting words to me, you were my captain but you abandoned hope. You are just as worthless as your father, there is only one Yuudeshi worth anything and hes a useless spoiled white haired brat who thinks the worlds his oyster or in other words bratty kid throwing a tantrum.

The mans words were not there for the light hearted he was intent on making it known just where he stood with his old captain, it was no thankful welcome back wolf would give. This man was not the friend Wolf had made, he saw no regret in his words for this man, ever since he had chosen to leave brought nothing but wolfs discontent. And now whilst he walked away his left hand retrieving another smoke and his right taking his lighter and setting it ablaze right now was not the time for this fight, Wolf needed to rest for now but soon the tide of death would face the fiery inferno.

Send word when you wish for this battle Zeda, for now i wil take my leave and rest. When you are ready i will end you and reveal to you the true path one must walk on.

He felt a sudden sensation in his throat as the girl began to spew some crap about Zeda being a flawed Captain. It was obvious the girl had no real comprehension of what being a Captain was. She spoke confidently about surpassing Zeda yet she simply insulted the man who generously hoped to help her. His attention was slowly directed to what she said to Wolf; if this was all a test of Zedas strength than it should have been kept concealed. He hadn’t been concealed in no one’s shadows, on the contrary he created the shadows that others lingered behind; a source of domain and sheer strength. He was born into the Yuudeshi family; his very own existence depicts him being a born leader. He had a few flawed qualities like his undying love for women but that’s no quality that he had inherited, it was the way of nature and he went with the flow!

One thing was clear, this was a sign of upmost disrespect and Zeda didn’t really care for it. He would understand if the girl was speaking from a place of power but she was simply speaking from a place of high potential, the two were different in anyway. Suddenly, the spark that Zeda felt about this girl began to fade, it seems that she shared the same diverse personality as Wolf, it was obvious not to judge a book by its cover, and he spun around while taking a note of Wolfs ever so pale face and took two steps away from the duo while Wolf began spewing his arrogant crap.

Zeda was long past listening to this duo. He had phased out, his ear drums only collecting words that were necessary. “Time” and “Place” the only two words that meant any real significance to his ears. At this point he was irritated, not because of the events that had unfolded but because of how quickly his relationship with Wolf plummeted and so did Wolf opinion of Zeda. It was hurtful but Zeda showed no signs of emotional strain, he gazed toward the distant gate of the 7th Divison until the Wolf hit a nerve.

“You are just as worthless as your father”

Those words trailed of his grotesque tongue and suddenly Zedas mood changed. It had a scorching, sinister feel to it but he held it together; his fists partially clenched while both layers of his teeth grinded against one another in frustration. He had imagined thirty different scenarios on what he would have done had this been a normal circumstance; he wasn’t one to really get tipped off so quickly but this ‘kid’ knew nothing about Zedas father. He was a mere ant compared to him, his spec of shit that his father wipes of his shoes, nothing more than a attention seeking shit excuse for a shinigami.

The next opinion seeped up was the following, “white haired brat” it was a clear reference to his Uncle Shadin who had not only been like a father figure to him throughout his years of training but had only been an inspiring role model, he wouldn’t allow him to continue with his insults. His eyes began to flare up as his breathing escalated but once again he managed to control his anger while the muscles around his neck began to tense.

“SHUT UP.” he shouted while maintaining his tone to a suitable level, he would have interrupted him the moment he said brat therefore the Wolfs little barrage of insults would be terminated at that point as Zeda would begin to follow up.

“You… want a time, THEN how about tomorrow, noon. The sooner, the better, right? Ill get special permission. The 11th Division are holding a special festival in order to discover a new Vice Captain. We shall use one of the free battle grounds. I suggest you hold your tongue before you dig yourself an even greater hole to rest in. However, I pity you. Having to lose to a Yuudeshi and out of irate resent you dare demean them? How weak…. ”

He looked over his own shoulder, his flaring, and crimson, demonic eyes took a small glance at what was left of the 8th Division pest while he spoke about pity. He didn’t await a response, he simply vanished knowing that the cub wouldn’t decline the fight that bordered on “personal matter”
