Yoshino Kagerou

The Good Samaritan
Reigan had done well to decrease the number of gang members Styn and herself would have to battle, Yoshino would give him that. Styn himself seemed to have taken down two of the thugs, squaring off against a third whom had managed to get a good hit in. She could be mistaken about the number of thugs Styn had managed to defeat, for her attention was stolen by Reigan who had begun to address her. Though there were three thugs on the board capable of fighting, she turned her eyes to Reigan, wondering what was so important for him to not have taken care of the presumed leader of the thugs.

Styn had one of the three in a deadly dance, while the one who was fortunate enough not to have squared off against a demon was staring at her. And Yoshino doubt that the thug wanted to have a nice talk, not with the malice in her eyes nor the twirling of her knife. She had expected the woman to charge her, but surprisingly the woman had some form of class to not charge her opponent whilst her attention was focused on somebody else. Perhaps the woman was confident enough in her ability to defeat a child and thus saw no need to play dirty. It would be a mistake on the thug's part, for Yoshino was no weak child nor was she one to allow herself to lose a fight. And with the thought of hitting Reigan across the head with her bat if she were to impress him hanging in the balance, well that would make her fight all the more harder.

It was indeed an enticing offer, one that would be hard for her to refuse and thus to impress she would need to not waste her time on childish games. She may have one person to defeat, but that one person seemed to be proficient when it came to wielding a knife and she had far more fighting experience than herself. It made Yoshino wish she had brought her knives along since they would be much more effective than her baseball bat, but even without the sharp blades she was confident that she could win the fight, as long as she played her cards right.

"I accept that offer of yours Reigan," Yoshino said, eyes drifting to the thug she would have to face. She spared Styn a glance, wondering how he was handling things with his smug opponent. She wasn't concerned about his safety, especially since he was a demon facing off against a human. More like she wanted to know if she was the only one who had not finished off their opponent, though Reigan hadn't actually finished off his since there was still the leader to take care of. But as stated, the glance was brief and her eyes immediately turned back to her opponent. Yoshino said, "shall we begin our own deadly dance?"

The woman smugly replied, "I have been waiting for you to finish your conversation princess."

"You know. I was just going to have a little fun with you before breaking both of your legs, but now…" Yoshino paused, a devilish grin spread across her face before she continued, "I'm going to land you in the hospital… No one shall be able to recognize you after I am done." Her mind was made up, she needed to destroy this woman. No, she wanted to destroy this woman. And such a plan called for her to become serious, even vicious. But that what made up her battle serious persona.

She place herself into a relaxed stance, her bat ready to strike her opponent down if the need arises. But she doubt that she would have to move, not with the many of things within her opponents possession that she could blow up. The knife would probably be the first thing to go, along with the jewelry and anything else she could cause to explode. She felt herself rather gleeful at the moment. She lost herself in that glee, having not heard the retort that had left the mouth of her opponent. But she returned herself to the situation at hand, the destruction of the woman.

The woman made the first move, dashing at her target whom had so foolishly closed her eyes, her knife ready to deal a devastating blow. It would be a mistake on the part of the woman, for Yoshino suddenly opened her eyes, and the knife within the woman's hand promptly exploded. It caught the woman by surprise, the explosion pushing her back a little and resulting in her hands being severely burnt. But Yoshino was not finished with the woman, not even close. Just because the woman's hands were burned, and she found herself in pain, it did not mean Yoshino had won. No. The only way she would actually win this fight was when the woman was laying on the ground unconscious or on the ground unable to move.

Thus Yoshino summoned the power she would need to speed up the air molecules surrounding her opponent, bent on causing great damage. And she succeeded in that aspect as the woman's figure was obscured by the smoke produce by the many explosions. She could hear the woman shriek, but it was immediately muffled by the sound the explosion gave off. After showering her opponent in thirty seconds worth of explosions, Yoshino stopped. It wasn't that she needed to, she would had love to continue the onslaught, but she was growing tired from using her power and believed that the woman had enough. And her assumption was correct, for the woman collapsed to the ground, unmoving.

She didn't go to see if the woman was still alive. "That was certainly fun, though tiring. I need to gain more control over this ability," Yoshino mumbled, looking up at the sky that loomed over her. She took a deep breath, before glancing to see if Styn had finished his fight, and to see if Reigan had taken care of the leader.

The Immoral dealer had found himself having more fun tonight than he thought he would. The thanks that he would give to the gangbangers corpse would be plenty, well if they had any ears and heads left once the demon was done with them. As the Demon made his way to the final boss of the 'Karakura Demons'... Honestly the name itself made him just laugh at the stupidity he couldn't help but note that not one of the enemies he fought could come close to his power expect the big guy...Even then it was a long shot... Reigen noted the girl take him up on the challenge given to her, a common enemy was something that made people all the more willing to let bygones be bygones but in most of Reigen's cases he felt that a little more was needed for people to follow his lead if that meant threats of violence on his person then so be it. As he saw the girl begin her attack on the other female he noted that Styn was getting into battle with three of the thugs, Reigen watched not keeping his eyes on the big guy as Styn recited out an incantation mentioning Touketsu and lost souls. "Hmmm quite a move, think Touketsu might be a bit busy to launch skull attacks but nice effort anyways"

A swing of a bulky fist cleared the air between the demon and his old location, riding on his chain Reigen placed himself gently down onto the ground away from the big guy meaty mitts. "Well that's not fair you have to play by the rules my good friend, can't let the final boss be beat before the minions if you go down here then how am I going to make a stellar spectacle out of your subsequent demise?" Seemingly disappointed at the lack of foresight the boss had on his own death the Demon's attention was caught by the injury of his fellow Demon as he looked down to Styn he simply tutted to himself as the other creature seemed to disappoint him, first by being injured in the first place and then by being forced to take his true form in front of humans allowing them to find out what he was, if only for a Reigen to set him straight. "Oh come now Styn, surely you can't be so in trouble from a few jobber thugs, even the 12 year old is facing less problems!" With that the Demon threw his chain at the other demon, though it pierced him for a moment no pain would be felt instead the pain felt from the wound would disappear, along with the wound itself. "Come now you may be Styn of Shadowfall but I hoped you also not be a braggart using a organization to cover for weakness!" The fact the wound had disappeared would most likely be a shock to the demon but Reigen didn't care he was more focused with the girl who now found herself in a field of explosions acting around her only opponent the well-dressed Demon looked to Styn as he point to Yoshino. "See she's not having any trouble but the fact that you've committed such damage seems to make your point to me a tad redundant no?" Reigen looked back to the girl with his last point making a witty remark to her clearly loud and wide destructive attack.

As he made the point the big guy finally made his way back to him the Demon now sitting on a bench looked up as the man flexed his muscles, the demonic marks on his body seemed to glow more granting him greater power, he was not one to take it easy clearly. "Wow first the roids then demonic sigils, you guys just can't stop it truly is an addiction..." The last part seem almost sentimental but for the bulky man the bench became nothing but wood underneath his massive fists however the man who he had hoped to crush was not to be seen. "Yoo Hoo! You missed!" The jaunty taunting was obviously Reigen but as the massive mountain of a man turned around roaring as he did Reigen felt the need to give a snake like grin to the enemy. "You're angry... Perfect I've got just the thing to work on you..." As the man rushed to his enemy the Chain would trip the bulky body only for it to start encircling the human as it did the build-up of what came from Reigen seemed to grow having the chain soon become a perfect sphere around the big boss. "Chain of Greed, Eternal Lock..." The Chain gave way to a few punches as the man seemed to look to break free, however as a part of the sphere gave away and he moved out of its area of control the thug would be returned to the center of the sphere confusing him as he was only a few moments ago out of it. "See this is a move not made to injure or to harm through my own hands, humankind's own idiocy leads them to this end..." Shouting out again and again the bulky man would continue to try and escape only to return to the center as the chain seemed to gather and grow smaller and smaller cramping up what little space the boss had.

The shouts soon became screams and cries as the man slowly started to be crushed from his own fear and foolishness. All Reigen could do was smile as he looked to the enclosing sphere of chains. "Your body, Your mind.... Even your despair will be locked..."The chains then slammed together shut, the sounds from before would end quickly and the utter silence would perhaps be as frightening as what had come before it... Reigen stood there smiling looking at those left the chain faded away leaving only a hollow yet large husk of meat as the Dealer turned his attention. "Well now who would like to be tester number two..."

Styn certainly could have lived without Reigen's running commentary. More so then being compared to a human girl child, he would have appreciated a heads up before being stabbed. Fortunately Styn wasn't the zealous type or The Immoral Dealer's blasphemy, in reference to the demon God Toketsu, might have sent him into a rage. Reigen certainly didn't play well with others. Which didn't make the older demon dumb, and it especially didn't make him weak.

Even as Styn barely dealt with his own wave of attackers, Regen was free to chat up his opponent, after crippling his support. The Immoral Dealer had little trouble baiting the larger human into reckless swings. Not only that but the older demon even found time to throw one of those body restructuring chains toward Styn. The nerve endings in the region were already paralyzed so the Knight didn't actually realize he'd been struck until he followed Lucky Strike's gaze. Seeing the chain piercing his body was a shock to be sure, a shock which only increased when the removal of the metallic links removed the wound in turn. The Immoral Dealer certainly had some fine tricks up his sleeve. "Who ever said that you were a rouge cannon who couldn't be relied on?" Styn said in way of thanks.

As he had been reminded, even Yoshino seemed to be fairing better then Styn. Once again the verbal barb missed its mark though. The only things the younger demon cared for were slacking off and accomplishing tasks quickly so that he could go back to loafing around. There had been a note of challenge in Reigen's taunting, as if he felt that being forced into ones true form was a weakness. Well Styn had given up on hiding as soon as things got violent. It was all well and good that the older demon didn't need to resort to increasing his strength to fight, but Styn wasn't so skilled that he could afford to battle with anything less then his full power. Especially against so many foes.

With only himself to worry about Styn glanced toward Lucky Strike's weapon of choice and noted the glimmer of a red gem in the bottom of the man's dagger. That must be one of the vaunted anima stones he had heard of. Most likely it had some sort of cutting or piercing attribute, which meant that Lucky Strike was an offensive oriented specialist. Styn doubted that the sadistic bastard had enough sense or experience to be more diversified. Not at his current tier of power anyway.

That left Rolling Pin to consider. Both human's had hesitated at seeing the demon seemingly attacked by his own ally, but now that it had become apparent that it was in fact a healing strike they rushed to recover their momentum. Rolling pin led the way with a barrage of strikes, spiked knuckles gleaming. Styn was slightly faster then the man and substantially stronger though. Instead of parrying blows, he went for an exchange. After a few slight blows and cuts changed sides, a snap punch to his jaw was met with a deep slash to Rolling Pin's side with the elbow blade of the demon's right arm.

No sooner then the human danced back out of range, Styn was forced to deal with Lucky Strike. The man was on his radar now though and would hardly find him such an easy target. Both demon and human fighters were at their maximum effective range in extreme close quarters. Once again Styn found that he was stronger and faster then his foe. Still the leading strike was enough to cut deeply into the upper part of his right bicep. The Knight wasn't quite fast enough to deal with two at the same time it would seem.

The next exchange began to look better for Styn. The air around Lucky Strike's blade began to swirl oddly as he thrust forward. The look of shock on the man's face when his attack failed to pierce Styn's upraised and bone white coated hand, would have been comical if the sadistic bastard wasn't trying to kill him. The demon took the chance to work some fancy footwork himself, shifting position and forcing Lucky Strike to move to keep him in sight. The entire flurry of strikes and counter strikes between Styn and the two humans had been mere seconds. At this point the gang leader was finding himself caught in Reigen's web of chains, but was not yet crushed.

"Zao Koa says: 'GET OVER HERE'", Styn exclaimed. The expenditure of energy was but a brief flare of will. At the same time however, he gathered Za Koa in a crimson wave in his left palm. The degree and concentration of force bled into the visual spectrum as a rapidly expanding point of dark red luminance. The demon jumped backward and flicked his right hand forward, discharging the previously incanted spell, as the black sphere double again in size. The materialization of an ethereal spear of energy hardly seemed to surprise Lucky Strike though. The human turned his body, actually taking a cocky moment to watch the spear shoot past him before giving Styn his full attention once more.

"What was that supposed to..." the man jeered before the breath exploded out of him in a wave. Styn's actual target had been Rolling Pin who he had maneuvered Lucky Strike in front of. After assessing the cut, the human had decided to reenter the fight. At just that moment, where flight and fight were playing games with the human's senses, he found himself pierced with the Sowpear. Immediately the human's limbs had locked up as the spell's secondary effect shot through Rolling Pin's physical structure.

However, the primary effect was most important to Lucky Strike's loss of verbal faculties. As soon as Rolling Pin was pierced, his body rocketed forward toward the spear's point of origin. A point that just happened to be occupied by his own allies body. Both human's were sent careening into Styn's raised left hand, which discharged his Black Inferno Blast at point blank range. The complete expulsion of force was pointed straight ahead, the blast did not explode in a sphere but rather a line. The two human's were sent skidding across the park and didn't look to be getting up any time soon if Styn was any judge.

As Yoshino took a moment to collect her thoughts and mutter something to herself, Not Quite was acquiring his next target. He was one of the few thugs who didn't seem to be armed and it was about to be obvious why. After he had taken a glancing blow from Styn's Psycho Skull, the human had needed a moment to shake off the shock. A reassessment of the battle field made him redirect his attention toward the young girl. It then took him several seconds to bring his own specialization into being. Time his ally had not been able to stand strong for.

The body of Yoshino's opponent had barely fell face first into the ground before an arc of lighting shot out to strike at the child. Styn barely caught the motion himself, since he was facing in a better direction to see the young man. Not Quite had cleverly moved into Yoshino's blind spot, before lashing out with his electric strike. "Watch out Batgirl!" Would be all the warning the girl was likely to get, mere moments before the attack was launched.

While taking heavy casualties, the gang was far from defeated. Although the body of their leader lay broken and bleeding from the crushing and pulverizing nature of Reigen's net, they hardly seemed demoralized. In fact those with broken bones were trying to get to their feet to reenter the brawl. Whatever strange high the human's were riding seemed to supersede mere fear. It would also seem that the whole gang wasn't even here yet. As Face Check and Grunter ran back into the park, they both brought extra bodies to the fight.

Face Check seeing the battered body of his close friend, howled in rage, leading the charge of the five new gang members. However a small average looking young man, with a buzz cut, in the back would be supporting this strike. Like before the bulk of forces were mid tier fours, but Buzz Cut was a defensive oriented tier three, almost as strong as Akihiro, and far more clever. His ability allowed him to shield his allies with spheres of dense wind, which he could then disperse, allowing the gang members to enjoy an additional level of protection.

Grunter was back with two others and seemed bent on making Styn their target. The younger demon could only sigh. "How many of you rats are going to scurry out of the burrow?"

Yoshino Kagerou

The Good Samaritan
Yoshino took in a deep breath, closing her eyes as she formulated a retort to Reigan's question, though these eyes were promptly reopened as Styn shouted something. She couldn't process what he had said quick enough, but she got the basic gist as she whirled around to see an arc of lightning heading start towards her. Her eyes widen for she had failed to see the one who had launched the attack, but she guessed the owner of the lightning had witness his female companion going down for the count. As she watched the arc, come closer to her at a fast rate, her body finally decided to react on it's own. Her mind was in bewilderment, but her body knew it was in danger, and had her roll.

She immediately sprang back onto her feet, mumbling a thanks to Styn, having successfully dodged the dangerous attack, but not without it having nicked her shoulder. Her mind caught up with her body, as she reflexively placed her right hand on her bleeding shoulder, eyes scanning for the one who had decided he would fight dirty though she shouldn't had expected anything less. Thugs weren't known for playing fair, and when they did, it was because they were over confident in their abilities.

Her shoulder stung a bit and she probably winced a couple of times, but it wasn't a life-threatening wound. It could had been another story if she hadn't moved, so she wasn't going to complain. But there was now a problem. More thugs had decided to enter the park, and those who had been thrown from the park had returned from more. It was like they thought numbers truly mattered in this situation. Reigan had effortlessly taken down half of the original members. Rather or not they were dead, she couldn't really tell from her position. But she wouldn't put it beneath Reigan to kill off his opponents. Which begged the question, why would humans keep pouring in if there was a demon that had no problem with ending human life? Were they stupid? Believed they were strong enough to defeat Reigan? Could overwhelm him? Or that by attacking Styn and herself that Reigan would come to their rescue and leave himself opened?

What ever the reason was, they were bad ones. Reigan for one was not affiliated with herself, and barely so with Styn. Thus the chances of him coming to save their lives if they got themselves into a pickle was low. Healing? Of course, especially when he had healed Styn. But if a thug was hovering over them about to deliver the final blow… Yoshino doubt he would even bat an eyelash.

She snapped out of her musing as another arc of lightning was launched at her. But this time she was more than ready to move out of the way. She rolled once again, and sprung back onto her feet. Yoshino couldn't keep doing this, especially since there was more than one to worry about. And thus she needed to come up with a course of action. Though she had exhausted herself with the first wave of explosions she had caused, she had more than enough to finish this fight, as long as she used it wisely. And she still had her bat, though that had been accidentally discarded when she had did her first roll, but it wasn't that far from her current position.

Her eyes flickered around the battle field, taking note of everyone's position before she went with her plan. Most seemed bent on taking their revenge on Styn and Reigan, especially since the latter had disposed of their leader. Not many was paying attention to the little girl who had just earned her first injury, especially since said little girl was facing off against a lightning user. But another had decided he would help out his lightning friend, which Yoshino thought was adorable.

Adorable that the two would stand together in order to defeat her. Or that Mr. Helper decided that Mr. Lightning needed help. It clearly agitated Mr. Lightning, since Mr. Helper had given his position away, cute he thought he was hidden still, and thought he needed help. She believed the two were about to begin their marital spat with one another. And instead of taking the chance to beat them both across the head, she watched. Maybe if she was quiet and made herself unnoticeable, than the two would brawl with each other.

But… that would still leave two thugs unattended, and she doubt they would go on with their petty argument. And on top of that, there was an opening, one she could exploit, one she will exploit. Yoshino made a dash to her bat, picking it up and holding it firmly in both hands before she headed towards Mr. Helper and Mr. Lightning. Though she didn't know the skill set of Mr. Helper, if she played her cards right she wouldn't have to worry about that.

Her eyes focused on the space in-between the two thugs, quickly speeding up the molecules so that an explosion would be caused. The explosion wasn't meant to harm them, at least not as badly as it had the female thug. She was only using the smoke that would come from the explosion as a cover for her actual attack. Taking down one thug with her baseball bat would be enough for her, two would be pushing her luck and the amount of time she had before the smoke dissipated would not allow for-

"Crap."

- Yoshino dove to the left. Mr. Lightning wasn't happy with her plan neither was his friend Mr. Helper. Her eyes narrowed as the smoke dissipated. Her plan would have to be rethought, especially since that wouldn't work twice. And she had clearly angered the two thugs. Not a good thing for her, but nothing she couldn't handle.

"Ants, trickling into the garden, believing they can win. How sad that these ants can easily be burned by the sun, or stomped on by humans. You ants should had stayed home," Yoshino said, holding her bat out in front of her. She would take them out this time.

The Demon sat at the precipice of having just the best day ever... With so much death and destruction around he couldn't help have a Cheshire grin on his face being covered by his hat's long cover. The two of his 'compatriots' seemed to be in no way ready for the upsurge of battle as the thugs seemed to regain their composure from the battle already lost. Reigen's enjoyment was seemingly noted by both of those near him, they seemed to be having a troubling time with all the enemies they were facing and it didn't get any better as more of the troublesome gang seemed to appear from the shadows with those that Reigen had broken rising again with more vigor than before. It was all just too fun to pass up, to think that the enemy he have so much fun fighting today would be a bunch of brats with Demonic sigils acting the fools. "All this is just too much fun, if I was willing to let any of you go then I'd say to do it again sometime....~" Teasing the aggressors those he had injured beforehand they began to raise there hands against him as he heard the gratitude from Styn. "Hmmm Well all of those demons I killed probably wouldn't think I'm so reliable, unless you know they were talking about the death if so then yeah I can't say I'm not a reliable gentleman."

The next seemingly important fact that came to the Demon's attention as he dodged around the weaponry and attacks of the broken men was the lightning crash that seemed directed at the girl, Styn shouted out in warning only for Reigen to have a cheeky smile on his face as he looked on at the girl rolling out of serious harm's way. "Holy nicknaming Styn!" The reference would be ancient by now but the Demon couldn't help but be foolish as the men surrounding him were no trouble moving around, they were too hyper and much to damaged to make any sort of calculated attack. But the one who threw the lightning now he was a different story Reigen wanted to see what he could do. As the two others in his company asked how many more would appear Reigen simply smiled at the idea as he brought his chain around him covering from the attacks of the enemies that surrounded him. "Well I guess it is a bit of a troublesome time for those with little time on their hands so I think I'll show off a little..." As he said this the Chain of Greed became taunt holding it position even with the bashing of the humans. "Forest Of Chains..."

With those three words the Chain exploded outwards, the pieces of the chain began to diversify as it followed on the ground each and everyone of Reigen's enemies all barring the lightning lad. The gruesome view that occurred with each stab and tear that the chain went through was too much to describe, bodies hung like foliage on a tree of chains within the middle of the horrifying garden was a smiling well-dressed monster, the light of a lamppost shading his face all could be seen would be a silhouette of yellow eyes and a grin so menacing the strongest of men would be chilled to their core from it. "Ahhhhh that takes care of all but you mister electricity..." Still smiling Reigen let the chain dissipate dropping death and corpses all along the park even in the vicinity of his allies as he walked towards the new interesting thing in the park with his only interest being whether or not this creature was anything or interest or worth. Looking at the girl who made the challenge he simply chuckled at her declaration of war. "That's cute but if you can't even dodge lightning easily then how could you possibly beat me?" Reigen's throwing out more insults made him expect that the girl was going to react poorly but he didn't care at the moment. "Well now that I've dealt with some of the rejects how about I deal with the lesser reject..." Insulting even the only viable threat left Reigen did not think much of what he saw in front of him... What would be left when he was done would be even less impressive...

Satoru Ito wasn't a bad kid, but when you grew up poor in the slums of Karakura, that definition of bad tended to get twisted. When he was three, his older sister died right in front of his eyes, victim of a hollow attack. Such attacks were common in the slums. Despite how close the domed structure of Karakura proper was, there were just too many people hoping to seize a piece of that greatness. Too many extended hands and open mouths for even the greatest city on the Earth to accommodate.

When you grew up in danger, you grew up hard. Satoru was no exception. It wasn't long before the boy fell in with the wrong sort of people, but for the first time in his life he wasn't afraid all the time. For the first time in his life, he had family. He belonged in a way that his single mother, who was always working, could never let him feel. This new social structure had its own rules though. Power dictated and strength was respected. Fortunately Satoru found himself innately gifted. The death of his sister had planted the seeds of his eventual awakening.

It was during a particularly bad brawl that he first materialized his anima stone. The anima of wind was an answer to a life long regret he had carried since that day his whole world changed all those years ago. No longer would he have to sit back and watch as those close to him were taken before their time. He quickly became the leader of a small group. Their nickname was the immortals, as in any conflict with a rival gang, Satoru would wrap his allies in a cushion of wind.

Eventually the gang grew larger, incorporating rival leaders into a sort of council. They took the name Karakura Demons, because they were done with what humanity had shown them. Better to be demons in truth, then weak prey for the hungers of a world gone mad. Still, he was known and respected, considered one of the four demon kings of the Karakura Demons. His oversight in many conflicts extended to more then just shielding allies though. He had a keen mind and served as the gang's strategist.

Satoru Ito wasn't a bad kid, he didn't deserve the cards that fate had dealt him. He didn't deserve a nameless death in a stupid conflict on the outskirts of Karakura. As chains erupted from the ground, rushing to skewer his family, the young man just did what came naturally. He protected. The first chain to pierce him went through his left foot, he barely noticed it as his hands wove the air in front of him, wrapping brother after brother in cushions of air. Even as the Forest of Chains found mark after mark in his own body he deflected blow after blow from his allies.

To an outside eye it really did appear as if every gang member was skewered by the attack. The air was thick and almost gel like as it took the strikes and redirected them slightly to less vital regions, where they were not able to protect entirely. A shower of blood truly did rain down, but of mostly superficial injuries. Reigen might find himself honestly surprised when he was able to take no more then three steps toward the lightning user, before the mass of bodies once more made an attack on him.

In actuality only one man paid the full price in blood for that attack. Without thought for himself Satoru Ito was struck again and again by chains. Arms, legs, chest, stomach, very few stretches of skin went without some sort of puncture. He died poorly, he died hard, filled with pain, and yet not an iota of regret. There would be no lost plus soul waiting for shinigami burial. Satoru was gone from the world as if he had never lived in it at all, mission complete.

Styn of course was completely oblivious to this noble and grand sacrifice. His spirit senses were hardly a keen edged blade of reason even in the best of times. These were hardly such times. The chaos did finally give him a moment to enact one of his favorite demon combinations however. It was time to change the balance of man power in his little section of the battle.

An instant of will triggered every sigil on his body to flood his core with power. The Za Koa he held was pushed into overdrive as each symbol on the demon's body began to glow into the visible spectrum. Even the bone white gauntlets and suit pant covered leggins that appeared in his true form had a spattering of infernal red tattoos. The glow was hardly steady. Instead, it was the wild fluctuation of Shadow Burst, symbols pulsing rapidly. Styn suddenly seemed twice his strength.

The surge of energy was not directed at increasing his physical attributes though, Styn was not actually any faster or stronger then before. Something that was not readily detectable by the massed humans. Instead, every ounce of the gathered energy was channeled into his next incantation. Styn's mind calmly he sought out a familiar shape. His favored go to summoning was that of a modified soldier demon. It was a structure he saw and dealt with on a regular basis. It would just need a few modifications that life had not provided. "Awaken the shadow within me, mend them new flesh and unleash them upon the world, Za Koa!" Styn shouted. Power spiked and then left the clawed demon in a rush. Shadows began to form between him and suspended humans, the new vessels for the flood of Za Koa. Where once there was nothing, there was suddenly an undeniable set of solidity.

The creatures were squat and ugly beasts, barely four feet tall, with pale yellow hide. They were hairy things, with black coarse bristles poking out of their heads, across their naked chests, and on their arms. A loincloth was their only concession to modesty, although these scraps of cloth didn't actually cover any sort of reproductive organs. Long pointed ears sloped backward against their wrinkled faces. The minions had sharp teeth and their noses were little more then reptile slits. Their eyes were likewise short gashes, and shone with infernal red glimmers. Instead of forearms and hands, the creatures' arms ended in curved blades.

The summons had more then enough time to form as confused human's made their way shakily to their feet. Even as Grunter and his two friends shared a shocked glance between them the beasts charged. Now it was Styn's turn to laugh as one verses three became four verses five. The Knight though, would take a moment to catch his breath and enjoy the show for once. That much Za Koa was always heady. The shadow burst wasn't a perfect method for summoning, he did lose the bulk of his minions. However, in exchange he was able to create one fourth of his total number as actual combat beasts, at the bottom of tier four. More then a match for the gang bangers late to the brawl.

Yoshino Kagerou

The Good Samaritan
Her head turned to Reigan, eyes locking onto his if only for a brief second before her head shifted back to its original position. She really had not the time nor the energy to get pissed with the demon anymore. It wasn't worth it anymore, especially since there still plenty of things that could go wrong with Mr. Lightning standing before them. But she wasn't really concerned with the defeat of one measly ant, especially since Reigan was the one doing that and he looked overqualified to take care of the last ant. Nor was she going to complain, for the faster Reigan or Styn finished off the last ant, the faster she could return home.

"Unless you see yourself as part of this group of morons, than such a comment was not meant for you," she spoke smoothly, "and to answer your question, with practice. And I don't have to worry about small scratches." Her eyes took a glance at Reigan before drifting over to Styn, an eyebrow was raised as she stared at the creatures he had summoned. And like any normal human who had never seen creatures so ugly, she couldn't help the words that flew out of her mouth. "What the hell are those?"

Her nose wrinkled up as her eyes inspected the grotesque creatures, not getting far as attention was stolen by the grunts of many thugs getting up after Reigan's brutal attack. She stared for a moment, deciding rather or not they were truly stupid or seriously thought they were avenging the death of their friend. For if it was the latter, than they had failed thus far and would continue to fail until they either got the message and retreat or join their friend in whatever realm he landed himself in. Maybe it was a combination of both stupidity and false sense of vengeance, stupidity for they couldn't see by staying they had placed their lives into the hands of another and vengeance for they seemed to desperately fight to avenge their fallen brethren.

Whatever their reason were, justifiable or not, the gang had not only failed at the goal they sought after, but had also lost quite a few men. What they had managed in doing was injuring both Styn and herself, but failed to have come close to harming their primary target. And that was something Yoshino found to be sad. Even sadder, they were getting up once again, some for round two while others for round three. How had they survived, she didn't know, but Reigan attack had failed to do its job. She felt the most childish urge to point such a thing out, but Reigan and her were not allies, and going from his earlier comment saying something would probably result in her immediate removal from the human realm. And thus she kept her mouth shut.

Instead she prepared herself for the next wave of irrational, zombie, brats to come. Seriously, they looked like zombies, groaned like zombies, stumbled around like zombies to the point if she had not known better, she would had thought that she landed herself in a zombie movie. A zombie movie that would be sure to make plenty of money for their amazing CGI effects and gory content that some parents may find to be too graphic. But she was not in a zombie movie, and thus everything happening around her was very much real.

As the zomb- she meant humans, got themselves together, she could only shake her head. There was nothing for them to successfully fight for. The brethren that they had brought along and had been slaughtered would had died in vain, and these fools would share the same death. No matter, Yoshino was pass caring about rather the gang members lived or not. She wouldn't normally condone killing, but now… now she saw this as cleansing the outskirts of a rather unneeded group of troublemakers. Perhaps they would do much better in their next life, but they had forfeited their lives as humans for she doubt any would survive whatever attack Styn and Reigan had in store for them.

But she wouldn't let Styn and Reigan be the only ones to deliver the final verdict on the pesky ants. Her eyes swept over the battlefield, taking note of the weapons that littered the grounds and those standing next to it. She smiled as she briefly closed her eyes, shifting back into the mindset that allowed her to mercilessly attack her first victim with an onslaught of explosions. It was the mindset she would need from this point onward, and one she would maintain until she was sure none of the thugs would be able to get back up. Rather or not she ended up killing them in her conquest to make all unable to move so they couldn't possibly disturb her as she made the trek home was not a detail she cared much for.

With her resolve harden, she launched herself at the nearest pesky thug, who was having quite the time staying on his feet. She graded him as a B+ when it came to his role as zombie, and than immediately swung her bat at his legs. She didn't miss, there was no possible way for her to do so when one could hardly move nonetheless stand on their own two feet. B+ thug collapsed onto his feet, and was than met with a bat to the back of his head, effectively planting him face first into the ground. She didn't stay for long though, she had only attacked the young man because he was standing right next to a very sharp pointy weapon known as a knife.

A knife that she would gladly use against his friends than later keep as a souvenir. She discarded her bat, not having thought of an effective way to utilize both the bat and the knife, and the bat was hindering her movements just a little bit. Yoshino would return to collect it upon the fight being finished, but for now it would lay discarded on the ground. She engaged herself in a couple fights, being sure to take notes of where everyone was so that she didn't get hit by an enemy or by 'friends'. Her method of defeating the enemy? Bringing them down to her level by cutting their hamstrings, than slicing the back of their neck. There was no stabbing involved, since that would require her to retrieve the knife from her victims which took more time out of her day. Time she was unwilling to give them since they had already wasted so much of.

Really, Yoshino was out of cares to give.

Even with all the time Reigen had gone to in giving the little gang a quick death they just seemed to want to keep on living! Such a clearly selfish way of thinking made the Demon almost respect the morons flowing in droves even after two of their big guns were eliminated by none other than the well dressed Demon. One of the guys seemed to have some power in the elements allowing some protection in against the chain of greed, Reigen was willing to let the man die for his comrades but not before showing him what he could have done. As each stab hit the thug a vision that Reigen had 'taken' from his own mind would flow into the wind bag, the vision showed the wind of his allies failing the air currents being taken by the chain of greed and leaving little for the brute to do other than watch as his friends died in the alternate scenario. "See this is the true meaning of despair, first you give hope then you crush it..." As the enemy wasted away under the stabbing of the chains until he was nothing more than a bad pin cushion Reigen looked at all his injured comrades, even with his protection not many seemed to escape unharmed.

This amused the Demon immensely as the enemies closed in on him seemingly preparing for a second wave of brutality. "Hmmmm... You can't beat me at full strength.." The chain whipped around the smartly-dressed individual protecting him from the harm of anymore thugs getting in his personal space as they bled on the grass below. "Then how are you expecting to beat me now?" He berated the weak humans whose resolve may have been great but whose threat was wilting by the moment. Looking at the lightning lad in the back the Demon gave a Cheshire grin as he pointed to the opponent. "Hey you really got to lose more guys before you see that there's really only ONE Karakura Demon here?" The monster very rarely made comment to his race being any sort of pride but he did not like it when scum played their betters. Out of nowhere however the Demon noted he snarling and howling of some odd creatures, they were minions seemingly summoned by Styn to take on the weaklings. "Oh! I have a great idea!" Reigen shifted the many thugs trying to grapple at him away with his chain as he seemingly skipped over to one of the bigger monsters that Styn had summoned. As he reached it he gathered his hand into his pockets, in them he seemed to procure a small hat similar to his own and placed it on the creature's head. "There now it truly stands out!" The Demon was now more interested in playing dress-up than dealing with the half handed attacks of the humans. After the strange keep-away leading to a minion getting a nice new hat Reigen turned his attention to the girl.

Yoshino seemed to give a witty retort to Reigen's own jab but the Demon was all too caught up in the now cooler looking minion. However he did note that she was a lot more vicious when she began to beat a man to a point of extreme uncomfort so much so that the smile Reigen had was less of condescension and more of approval. "See that's the way you take a person out, Styn you should take notes always better to take a person slow so you get all the little emotions and feelings out of them..." As he gave some advice to the Shadowfall agent he turned to the last bastion of leadership the gang had. "Hey Elec Boy! Why don't you quit your losses while your ahead? I mean I could take all your gang out on my own but it would be more fun to extend pain through a hunt.... Besides Styn and the girly could deal with all these jobbers without my help come on make it easier on yourself and just surrender your pathetic pride to me as you get on you knees then run for your life!" The demands began to get more aggressive at the end but the point was made clear nonetheless, Reigen had done all he could to keep from just finishing the hopped up thugs but their resolve and bravado were beginning to get obnoxious now and even more worthless by the second...

About a block away from the carnage in the park, three figures rush to reinforce their struggling allies. As none of the humans had particularly strong spiritual sensing capability, they are effectively walking in blind. As such, the mood was fairly light as the three jog ever closer to the fray. "What's the rush Hime? Sataru isn't going to let anything happen to anyone, and Akihiro is practically indestructible with his Steel Skin anima."

The words were spoken by a tall slender young man, with a two handed great sword slung over his shoulders. At his side, similarly flanking the young woman in question, was a short stocky young man. He carried what seemed to be two roman gladiuses. Both had dark hair and green eyes. The shorter of the two had a scruffy look to him, with wisps of facial hair. The taller one was clean shaven and almost feminine in appearance.

The diminutive figure who ran before them, chewing her bottom lip in worry was barely more then a girl, perhaps fifteen years old. Despite her youth, of the three she appeared the least playful. With a sharp look in her brown eyes she glanced over her shoulder at the young man. Wind whipped long strands of dark blue hair in front of her glare, softening the effect somewhat. Her words however had a sting to them. "We already know that one of our friends is dead, I wish you would take this more seriously Sho."

"Yes, yes, you're being plenty seriously enough for the three of us Hime. Besides Goro was a pig, losing him is no loss at all." Sho retorted, still in good humor.

The stocky young man next to him chuckled, but remained silent. The two young men were the strongest of the Karakura demons and foster brothers from years back. They jokingly called themselves the Royal Guard, as they were most often found with their younger sister Maki. Maki had a somewhat rare ability, she controlled the anima of healing and for that reason was greatly valued by the rambunctious gang. The amount of minor ills she treated was probably more then the number of lives her ability had saved though.

Their arrival at the scene coincided with the death of Sataru Ito. The three of them were still not in the park proper, and witnessed his final moments from the relative cover of a shadowed side alley. Suffice it to say that the scene was a shock to them. Beaten and battered friends lay in various states across the park. Many fallen allies twitched to their feet, but many more could only groan as their drug induced frenzy finally met with the reality of their injuries. Never before had the Karakura demon's known such a shocking defeat.

Horror kept the three immobilized in shock, but the first to act was Maki who shook off the restraining hands of her adopted brothers. She had spotted something that no one else had noticed in the carnage. The broken and bloody form of Akihiro was still breathing. "He's alive, he's still alive," the girl urgently insisted to the worried stares of her guardians. "I have to help him, we have to do something." Sensing their indecision Maki turned and dashed onto the battlefield. Her eyes were locked onto her target and she could only trust that Sho and Isamu would keep her safe. With a curse Sho followed, flanked by his silent brother.

With the drug induced haze finally lifting its hold on the gang, many were shocked to see Maki rushing through their ranks. At this time Yoshino was working through her first stabbing, coldly covered in the blood of her victim. The feminine dash, so lacking in combat grace might catch her eye. If that didn't do it the fact that her opponents were stumbling back to group around the girl might do so.

Reigen would have just finished crowning the king of minions as Maki slid to the ground next to the oozing form of Akihiro. Unflinchingly the girl summoned her anima stone, a dazzling emerald light poured from between her cupped hands. Uncaring about the gore, the girl thrust her hands onto a chest struggling to pull in another breath. The Royal Guard quickly evaluated Reigen as the most threatening and moved to block the girl's slim form from his gaze.

The lightning bolt throwing human was confused. For whatever reason the main aggressor had picked him out as a person of note. While it was true that he controlled one of the few flashy anima powers of the Karakura demons, he was hardly worthy of such a regard. At best the boy was a mid level tier four. "Th...that's not my call to make, err, sir," the young man offered up fearfully glancing toward the new arrivals.

With tears running down her eyes, Maki looked up, brown eyes filled with defeat. "Cut our losses? You are gracious for a butcher," the girl's voice came in between sobs as she poured her energy in trying to save Akihiro. Then she said what might have been the only words that could save them. "What would you take to leave this place?"

"Maki no, we don't need to bargain with this bastard!" Sho shouted with an angry glare toward Reigen. Perhaps it was even true. The brothers were a single tier above even their fellow kings, standing at a height of power only a short step below that of Reigen himself. Not only that but their anima, the anima of Asura allowed them to combine their powers to fight as a single entity. Unlike the two before them, they were also capable of a soul state evolution, similar in power to a shinigami's released state.

"Yes we do!" Maki countered. The tears dried from her eyes as determination replaced distress. "Well then monster? Lets make a deal."

Styn for his part was happy to fade into the background of events. In fact he was even now searching for a moment to exit the scene. Regardless of what transpired there were many things he would have to report. Humans with demon attributes, drunk on what he could only assume was some concoction of demon blood. Still he had to admit if only to himself that the king of his minion squad was looking pretty damn dapper in its fancy hat. If nothing else, Styn imagined the confusion on his enemies faces if he decided to incorporate it into the design in the future.

Yoshino Kagerou

The Good Samaritan
Movement caught the corner of her eye causing the young human to glance up to see who else had decided to waltz into the park. Three people was what she saw, two boys and a girl both standing in what could only be shock as their eyes took in the damage that their group had taken. Yoshino guessed that the three new arrivals were a part of the Karakura Demons, who else would dare to enter the park that had turned into a battlefield. Though the battle couldn’t had lasted long, word would had travelled to the nearby residents to stay clear of the park for what ever was going on within the usually beautiful place was not something they wanted to be a part of. The other clue that she had that the three were from the gang was more of an assumption than a clue. She had assumed the three part of the gang simply because everyone that had entered the park during the course of the battle was from Karakura Demon. And the three were no exception, though rather or not they were here to continue a futile war was not information she was privy to.

She took note that she would need to watch them carefully for their actions could partially determine how many walked away with their lives, if any. And Reigan seemed to be showing mercy upon the poor souls of the gang, mercy that they should quickly accept before high-tailing it out of there for Reigan could always change his mind. That and it would be wise for the gang to leave so that they could live to fight another day, though she doubt that they would be fighting for quite sometime. With the causalities that they had sustained here, they would be lucky if rival gangs didn’t pounce on their chance to eradicate the Karakura Demons. And even if they were lucky to not be attacked by another gang, they members would take months to recover. Not just from their physical injuries, but from the psychological ones as well. They would also have to live with the fact that they had so stupidly charged into battle to avenge the death of one and instead of achieving their goal of revenge, had forfeited the lives of others within the gang.

She watched as the only female in the group ran forward flanked by the two boys, just as Yoshino had finished taking down her first victim. Instead of advancing to take down a second one, Yoshino watched. It wouldn’t had been wise for her to take out her second victim, third if you counted the female from earlier, with them stumbling to protect the newly arrived female. It wasn’t the best move for them to make since that gave away information, rather or not it was intentional. What she received from their actions was that the female was somehow important enough for everyone to protect her.

Her eyes lit up with faint amusement at the display, and she found herself once again comparing the Karakura Demons to zombies. But they were zombies that she would not mess with for if Reigan had stopped attacking than that meant she should also halt anymore of her advances. She, though not allied with Reigan, had somehow come to respect him. And she could only imagine the reason the demon would stop decreasing the numbers of Karakura Demons roaming the outskirts of Karakura.

Thus, Yoshino turned to check out if she had gained new injuries, though it was highly unlikely that she had. Much to her joy the injury she had sustained from earlier had healed itself, thus leaving her wound and scar free for the day. The only evidence that she had ever had lightning thrown at her would be the tear in her sweater, but the tear would more likely be explained be her getting caught on a branch than nearly dodging lightning. With her self-evaluation done, she made her way over to her baseball bat. She eyed Reigan and Styn as she did so, wondering what on earth was going on. It was hard to discern from her current position, but she hoped Styn would be kind enough to disclose to her what Reigan had in mind, or the new girl for that matter.

Upon retrieving her bat, she stored her knife away before she made her way over to the two demons, using the sleeve of her sweater to wipe away the blood that had found its way onto her face. Yoshino sighed deeply, circling around the gang so that she may look at their faces rather than their backs. Though to achieve such a position required her to stand next to Styn or Reigan, and she picked the former rather than the latter. She had arrived in time to hear Maki offer that Reigan and herself make a deal. Though the word that she used to address the demon could had been better.

Yoshino stared at the mass of bodies, cocking her head slightly to the left as she smiled at seemingly no one in particular. But she was smiling at one person, Maki. "Hello Maki. It has been quite sometime since we had last seen one another, nonetheless talk," she gleefully said. Every ounce of her being wanted to tackle Maki, but all she had to do was glance up at those who flanked her and the desire was gone. Her smile suddenly dropped, turning into a frown as she stared at Maki. "I would had never thought you would had associated yourself with these ants. How unlike you, Maki," she said, her voice mimicking one who was very disappointed in their child.

Though that frown and tone was quickly replaced by her gleeful self. "Nevermind that. You are suppose to be striking a deal with him," she waved her hand at Reigan, "And I don't wish to prevent you from that. You and I can talk later."
