Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 727

The days have come and past, light and dark slowly fading in and out as the life of Azure Iramasha seemed to take a one hundred and eighty degree turn towards the downward spiral he was now currently within. Scars littered the body of the Iramasha, his mental scars boring more fruit than those of his physical ones. Among those mentioned. Azure's right arm consisted of large medical wrappings, seen easily against the short sleeved shirt he wore. Along with this, wrappings could be seen around his neck which only led others to believe they were also wrapped around his upper torso. These were the only visible wrappings, despite this however anyone could sense it. The male was torn asunder from his only attacks, not those of his enemy. Not only was his body littered with distraught skin and healing wounds, his mind now lacked a hold on reality. Those that knew the man knew that he was an intellectual one, one who wouldn't be stupid enough to think this or that was right or wrong. Azure Iramasha knew for a fact what would have to be done and what would occur in the future. However, as he stood among the blistering winds of Earth's wastelands, he was distraught. He knew not what was right or wrong. He knew not of what would come from himself or those around him. It was as if he was no longer the man he used to be, all from a simple battle for a nation.

Pathetic, the entity within Azure's mind thought nothing more of the man himself. The husk that had previously formed from the battle against Neoveta Asthavon had clear intentions. He took what Azure thought and held deep within him and took it to the most extreme of extremes. One such case would be the attack on the Soul Society, purposely invading the Gotei in order to retaliate against the false leadership that sat within it. Not only that, he spoke clearly and fluently to those he has encountered so far. Without Azure's thoughts it mind, however. He was his own person. The Husk only wished to spread chaos and have fun when he assumed control of Azure Iramasha. Something Azure himself could have never truly see coming.

Taking a long breath, the man watched the night sky shake violently, the stars around him growing dim as the dusts of the Wastelands become unsettled. It was a barren land, one filled with broken buildings, paved concrete streets and broken worlds. Cities all across the world looked as this very one did, however Azure was not too sure where he was, nor did The Husk. They both wandered within the body for quite sometime along Earth's surface. It had been weeks since the Gotei incident with Wolf and Iriko, all culminating to this single point in time. He hadn't eaten in quite some time, he was covered in sand and dirt as well as his clothes being slightly tattered from the harsh winds and rocks that raged throughout the broken cities he walked.

To Azure, this very time in his life was depressing. The world he began to walk was one of a very fine line. He was split between two ideas. Was it needed, the entity that formed to protect him from the hatred and despair he had for the girl that tried to keep her family and herself in Iceland. Neoveta, she was despicable. She didn't understand what Shadowfall had done to iceland, let alone those around the world. Its something that only enraged him further, this was the true reason The Husk formed. He was the hatred and broken soul of Azure Iramasha, finally coming to the surface.

Nevertheless, the man continued to walk among the great sands of the wastelands, the broken concrete roads around him only growing in length as he continued forward. The night had only begun, and for both men that resided within the being that walked, it was far from over. Taking one last look at the star studded sky, Azure Iramasha turned towards the horizon, the black of night staring him back in the face. It was time to continue forward it seems. And so he walked, for how long? He, nor The Husk, were sure. He knew he was alone right now, but would he be for long?

Artist: Mass Effect 3 — Song: Leaving Earth

One pair, two pairs, no... three pairs of feet were bounding across the forsaken void of dirt and rock, like oversized rabbits they moved by jumping a hundred meters a go. They were but shimmery blurs in cold winds that blew across the dead landscape, very difficult to make out in the darkness of night. The sounds of their boots pushing off the ground were barely heard over the wind, but audible at least. The question to be asked was what business the figures could possibly have out here in the wastelands, and why. By the looks on their faces, the situation seemed of dire importance.

Leading the pack through the featureless land was a woman by the name of Kimiyo Miyake, one with a fierce expression and keen eyes to scan the horizons for anything out of the ordinary. Her straight black hair whipped wildly behind her as she moved at a breakneck pace, along with a white coat tied only to her person by string. ''Where are you...'' were her only words since first departing for the wastelands, spoken too quietly to be heard by her sisters behind her. Both Kokoro and Naomi were as equally worried, and just as restless to see the man they were looking for safe. They needed him; he was their leader.

Kimi didn't even want to think what would happen if that man was declared Missing in Action, especially at the moment of truth like this. The war had finally begun but the resistance has been—so far—too much to handle. Of course the Vanguard still had the will to fight on, but where did that will come on? What was it based on? If their leader was taken out, would that will still be there, or would the Vanguard fall to pieces? Kimiyo couldn't really answer such a heavy question like that; she wanted to believe it was the goal, not the leader, that kept them moving forward. Still, she couldn't be sure. The best course of action right now would be to rescue their leader and not dare challenge that question at all.

Despite her vigilance, it was not her, but her eldest sister Naomi that seemed to catch sight of their target first. She suddenly burst ahead of the pack uttering the name of the man she cared for, ''Azure..!'' Kimiyo was almost knocked off balance by the aftershock of Naomi's movement, but stabilized. She looked ahead in the direction the blue-head was dashing off to, not seeing anything still. 'How?' she thought, wondering if Naomi really had found him. It was true her other senses were very powerful, but was that really it?

Trusting in their sister, the other two Miyakes followed in Naomi's footsteps, using the only indication of him they've had thus far. It would not take long for the eldest to reach what she sensed, not holding her speed back at all as she crashed only meters behind him. The ground shook slightly and some debris was kicked up as she landed. Naomi looked up and had to open her eyes to confirm it, that it was really him. ''Azure! Azure-kun!'' she called out, looking genuinely happy for the first time since they set out. Kimiyo and Kokoro landed much more gracefully beside her soon after. It would appear they were at his back.

Naomi started to walk forward, holding her hands out as if to pull him into a hug. ''Azure, we found you~... You're okay~''

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 778

The gale of wind smashed against Azure's skin as his quiet eyes continued to watch the ground before him. The night was quiet, quiet enough to cause someone to go insane. It was deafening, the silence that soaked the man's being. He was silent just as the night was, something that would carry on for quite some time it seemed. Despite the silence that drowned the tired Iramasha, he continued to stumble his way forward. The bandages wrapped along his body were soaked with the dirt that the gale of the wastes blasted towards him. They slowly dripped around him, quietly drifting in the subsequent breeze that followed the strong gusts. He was soaked in the nasty wasteland that surrounded him, despite this however he still marched forth. Alone, as he thought he would be.

That is, until he felt an odd shift in the world around him. Azure was still a bit out of it, not truly being there fully. Due to this, he didn't catch the previous signatures that happened to be on his tail. He couldn't register their power signatures nor any bearing of who they may be, given his current state. He was confused that he couldn't register the people that were tracking him. He looked around him, not seeing a soul in sight until he felt the gale once more disrupt his eye sight. Dust and dirt was sent flying as the large burst of air was sent forth at Azure. It was caused by the extensive release of these three beings that were previously tracking him. Their launches only sit gales of wind forward from their previous locations, causing the area around Azure to become distraught. Well, as distraught as a broken wasteland could be. Dirtier and more misshapen is all that could really happen.

As the gales began to slowly come to an easy breeze, Azure's eyes caught glimpse of a bright blue racing against the dark night sky. It was barely visible given the broken and shifted world around him, sending impulses to the male's mind. The Husk within only chuckled, his own words slowly sulking into the man's mind.

You should defend yourself, jackass. It looks like there are already more people coming for that pretty head of yours. You sure did fuck up there in Iceland, didn't you?

Heartless and unkind, The Husk echoed within Azure's mind as his actions reduced to a slowed state. Almost instantly, Azure's field of vision was filled with the three women that stalked him, Naomi Miyake closing in on her target as he brought his arms up in self defense. It was a reaction he didn't wish to choose, yet happened as a simple reflex. Pathetic, he thought everyone around him was out for his head. Even someone as simple minded as Naomi would want him dead for what had happened in Iceland, wouldn't she? Or the Gotei, maybe? It didn't matter, he was still the same pathetic Azure.

Releasing a small sigh, his arms lowered as he watched the emerald eye girl reach her arms outwards to him. She was such a kind girl, despite her simple mind. He grew fond of her, not just her though. Her sisters were something that meant quite a lot to him as well. Its something he, nor anyone else, could explain. It didn't matter now however. He was distraught piece of rubble. Azure was broken and he knew everyone would know it sooner or later. What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't turn his face towards such a strong Organization knowing he wasn't what they needed. He was simply broken. They didn't deserve that.

"Hello, Naomi. Kimi, Koko..."

The male's voice was quiet, his eyes diverted to the side as he watched the desert sands slowly shift back and forth against the breeze. He was so tired. Nothing made him smile anymore, not even those he found comfort in. His soul was fractured in ways that he could not describe. The cold ache that shuddered through the man's body and mind was not just The Husk, but something far greater. An empty void that existed within him now. Something that may never be fixed...

They're cute, why don't you introduce me Azure-Chan~

Another chuckle erupted within Azure's mind as The Husk commented on the sister trio. Disgusting, he was nothing but disgusting to Azure. What was he to do now? Poor Poor man...

Artist: Mass Effect 3 — Song: Leaving Earth

To say that the blue-haired woman was oblivious to the subtleties floating around Azure was a given. Why he was out here, or why he looked so out of sorts were questions that didn't need answers as far as Naomi was concerned. Those details were far and away from her line of thinking. The only thing that mattered was that they had found him, safe and sound, and could bring him back. She ignored his sidewways look, and ignored his risen arms. She would move forward irregardless, and trap him in a powerful embrace without any hesitation in her trust of him. Her strength would even lift him onto the tips of his toes as she expressed how much she missed him in that hug.

The other two were not quite as dim, however, sensing something was off very quickly. Kimiyo narrowed her gaze, finding the way he reacted to their appearance somewhat disturbing. It was a short-lived thought however, tempered by her own personal bias—she knew she didn't see eye-to-eye with Azure all the time and that was affecting her even now. When she really thought about what happened; what the Miyake sisters had found where Azure's battle had taken place, this behavior didn't seem so out of place. The man had been defeated, but had not fallen. She could logically assume that he'd escaped and was now a bit fearful of his life. He also might be ashamed as well, having lost... it could all be explained away.

Kokoro's expression was worried, almost sad, at seeing Azure in this state. The damage that littered his body glowed like neon lights to her eyes, and her empathetic mind was able to tell the pain he was suffering from each wound. For him to still be standing, much less moving around, was ridiculous, and probably perilous to his health. If he didn't get medical attention right away, she could only fear for his life; as the medic of the group, she needed to act immediately. The chime of metal against metal rang as Koko swung her staff in front of her, aiming the head at Azure. An array of multicolored lights began to swirl around it, as the staff began to vibrate of its own accord. With Koko as the guide, the lights shot forth in spiraling trajectories, driving into Azure's body but delivering no force upon impact.

As the light licked across the wounds of his skin, flesh would begin to grow back over the torn skin, and scarring would renew itself to become whole with the tissue around it. A soothing warmth annihilated all ache and pain, giving the impression that the man was submerged in a pool of tepid water. The surface was only step one of the process, as once it was finished the light would begin to phase into his body and take care of the damage on the inside. Blood vessels and impaired organs were stitched back together by the magic, leaving no physical injury unhealed. Then finally step three of the process, to heal the soul. Kokoro was about to proceed onto it before suddenly stopping, widening her eyes in shock.

''W... What is this...?'' the woman said, in an unsettled voice very unlike her relaxed self. The lights would snuff out immediately as the technique was prematurely terminated. Kokoro stood there with mouth agape, taken aback by what she had just witnessed. Her sudden change was not missed by Kimiyo, who looked to her for answers. The issue was that Koko didn't really know if she could explain that. ''What did that demon do to you?'' she asked in exasperation, still shaken. She wanted to know what Azure had to go through for his soul to have been so thoroughly ravaged that it was unrecognizable from a human being's. She was unsure if something like that could even be healed...

Lovely, as always were the Miyake sisters. Each one of their beings were special to Azure. Whether it meant the destined bond that he shared with Naomi, the simple feeling of sympathy and empathy with Kokoro, and the heated and hot headed stubbornness that both he and Kimiyo shared openly. Each of the women had their own qualities that screamed outwardly to the broken man, despite this though he still kept the same disturbed look and air to him. He did not seek comfort in the women that stood before him, they were a means that only proved that he wasn't the leader he wished to be. Whether he could continue as the Vanguard's Leader mattered little to him right now, especially when it came to the void that sat within his empty chest. His broken soul couldn't be mended the way most wounds could. It was a fracture of mind and soul at once, something only a deity could truly mend instantly.

You're depressing, idiot.

The Husk spoke openly, his void ringing once again among the surfaces of Azure's confused mind. The man smiled at the girl's, his eyes seeming to reflect that of his empty state. He was tired, so very tired of the world boring down on his shoulders. The weight had grown too strong, and that only intensified the feelings that he expressed during his battle against Neoveta. Despite him walking the wastes as if he were a lost soul, Azure was not here to run. He was here to keep everyone else safe, to keep the world from feeling what he felt that very instance. Neoveta did not do this to him, this was a creation of his own. Despite it being against his wishes, that is.

"Kokoro, you don't have to do that you know."

Empty eyes glittered against the moonlight as the prongs from Kokoro's staff latched to his skin, beginning to mend that of what he had done to himself. A large amount of the wounds that he had suffered during the battle were self induced, some of them not mending at all as Kokoro began to work her process. A large wound that had scarred over in the right portion of his abdomen continued to sit against his skin, burnt skin and disgusting cuts only boring into his skin deeper as Kokoro worked her ways. Azure's skin healed somewhat, compared to what he previously resembled. However, as said, some scars continued to rest on his surface. The man only watched as her eyes grew wide, the expressions that both Kokoro and Kimiyo only furthered his worry, Azure was not himself it seemed.

Shaking his head, the woman requested to know what had happened against the Demon Princess. If only her and her sisters could understand that it was not the woman directly, it was himself. Whatever he said wouldn't matter from here on out, given the state he currently sat in. Letting a small sigh escape his lips, Azure slid his hands once more to his pockets, kicking at the dirt.

"I wish I could tell you, haha. I'm not quite here am I? Or, at least I don't think I am."

His quiet voice echoed as he felt the air tense, his depressive thoughts only growing stronger as he watched the dirt beneath him shift due to his feet. The man couldn't handle the pressure, being in the state that he was in. He felt as if the world was against him now, he was in a state that he could never truly understand. All he would know for a fact is something changed within him, The Husk was proof of this.

Speak up, you fucking idiot.

Angry words bore into Azure's psyche, his body shivering at the response as he spoke once more to the sisters.

"To be honest, Kokoro... I'm not sure what's wrong. Everything... is different. Devoid of life, now."

Azure felt the warm embrace of Naomi extend along his body after so long. She was attached to the male, shifting him left and right in her hug yet he hadn't felt it until now. She was always quite the touchy type, something Azure felt no problem with now that they had grown so close. Yet, the feeling didn't ease the pain that his mind and soul felt. He continued to feel the dim light within him grow dimmer and dimmer as Naomi sat against his being. Sighing yet again, Azure moved his head aside as he began to speak for a final time.

"Can I go, now?"

In response to his question... Naomi sat down on her knees. Given that Azure was wrapped up in her arms meant that he was coming along with, his body crumpling down with hers as he now was forced to sit in her lap. The blue-haired woman whined lightly as she nuzzled her face into his neck, disturbing his face with wayward locks of her blue hair, threatening to invade his mouth if he so much as spoke. There was no verbal response from her, and she seemed totally zoned for the moment, as though his pathetic words couldn't reach her. Instead, Kimiyo responded for her, arms crossing over her chest.

''Go? Yes,'' she said curtly, holding herself calm despite the circumstances. Her eyebrows lowered as she stared at the man, wondering what was really going on here. ''Yes, if by go you mean go back to base to prepare for the next attack or go somewhere to get those wounds of yours healed up. Surely that's what you mean? Surely, the person I can call my leader would think that way.'' Try with all her might, however, there was no hiding the incriminating undertone in her voice. For a woman born and raised into a role of leadership, it had taken quite the effort to stifle her pride and serve under someone else. As much as she worried for Azure, she didn't want her pride to be insulted either. She didn't want to hear him say what she thought he meant by those words.

Koko looked at her younger sister for a moment, concern lit up for her, but ignored it. ''Azure, we really should retreat to some place safe for now. At the least with proper time and focus, I might be able to do something about this type of injury, but not out here... So, Naomi?'' She walked up to the embracing pair and placed a gentle hand on the eldest's shoulder, nudging her gently. The woman only whined again, burying herself further into the male's collar. Kokoro could only sigh. She didn't think Naomi would let go of him like this, which limited their options.

Decidedly, Koko kneeled beside them and wrapped both arms around the bundle. ''I... apologize for this,'' was all she could say before the two were lifted off the ground with ease. Naomi and Azure were now scrunched together against Koko's bosom, and all three would be headed off as one, irregardless of how embarrassing it was for all parties involved. Soon, they were off, Kimiyo leading the way with Kokoro toting around the other two despite any complaints they could come up with. While she was a considerate person, there was no way she could just let what she saw fester as is. It needed to be taken care of somehow.

The black and white streaks of hair that flowed against Azure's skin shook violently with the harsh winds of the wastes. It was a tiresome ordeal, dealing with the nature of his current status. The broken souled man slumped against the chest of the blue haired Miyake. Despite the comfort the Naomi meant to give Azure, he simply could not feel it. The world around him was numb, his failure to stay sane causing him distress in ways he thought were impossible. As he thought quietly, Kimiyo raised her words from her throat, speaking to her leader. She didnt seem to understand his reasoning for being here, none of the girl's seemed to understand. The Broken Iramasha himself didn't even seem to understand it himself.

"Why? It's just me, Kimiyo. Is it really needed? Wounds heal overtime, without help or not."

The man couldn't look any of the young women in their eyes. The bandages wounds and aching muscles of the Iramasha screamed as he lay limp against the might of Naomi. There was no way around it anymore, it seemed. He could no longer take his time and wander as he desired. It seemed that the husk and himself were returning to the Vanguard headquarters whether he wished it or not. A pain, but one that was forced upon him no matter what.

The Miyake sisters were not the only ones that would be out looking for him. There was no way he could hide properly from his soldiers. They knew their leader far too well, especially the sisters that stood around him now. Releasing a small sigh, Kokoro now spoke, words of proper logic but ones he didn't see too kindly towards. Oh well, he felt there was nothing to do now but deal with it.

"So much work isn't needed, you know. I would have came back, eventually. It's just some pain. That's all."

Azure Iramasha had never been so quiet in his life, the somber tone that accompanied his voice only growing as he dealt with the Miyakes. His body lifted quietly, Naomi and himself being wrapped quietly in the girl's arms as he closed his eyes once more. The world had changed, his view was different and he couldn't understand the pain he felt. Not this time, it was too great and different than the pains he felt in the past. To imagine something such as Husk existed within him...

You're pathetic. To be taken so easily, with no questions? Vanguard L:eader my ass, you piece of trash.

The hatefuil coil that was The Husk's words echoed around Azure's mind as they quietly moved ahead. Only thoughts of despair filled the man's mind, there was nothing he could do to fight such a thing. It was inevitable, it seemed.

"I'm not this important, you know... My death should have been issued within Iceland's capital."

The words hung among the air as Azure was against coiled against himself and Naomi. The cold winds of the wastes smashed against his skin, reminding him of the cold reaches of Iceland's pains.

Artist: Mass Effect 3 — Song: Leaving Earth

If Kokoro would have it her way, the group of four would travel in silence, not using up precious breath on such melancholic conversation, especially that which could induce unneeded stress and tension. Even though the abberation she witnessed was completely foreign to her, she was not completely in the dark. Years of training to recognize and restore health of the physical, mental, and spiritual lent her the capability to determine what injuries she may come across and how to best deal with them. She recognized how Azure's inner scars were related to emotions and imbalance. She did not want to worsen his state because of their words spoken.

Yet, the man was so insistent on being put down and left to his own devices. The first rule of being a doctor: Don't let the patient decide what was best. She was a professional and she knew what she was doing as far as healing went. And before she allowed Azure to instigate the already miffed Kimi, she interrupted. ''Except in your case, in which a bleeding wound will continue bleeding if left alone, killing you. Yes, it is very necessary. We won't allow you to run off wherever you were planning on going, and we won't allow you to continue suffering. I didn't join the Vanguard with my specific set of skills to just sit around.''

It should have ended there, the matter resolved. If they could just continue the rest of the way with only the sounds of the passing winds and the resolution that the Miyake trio could not be swayed, then perhaps they could make some progress with Azure and turn back the tides of this war. Unfortunately, there was no such luck, as something dreadful was smoldering within Azure, trying to light a fire to this hearth. There was only a passing moment of quiet before the storm, as that something sought the words to create the spark. Words capable of striking straight at the core of the tension to set it ablaze. He spoke like a drone, declaring that he should have been declared dead.

Azure, who might not even have been aware of the steadily rising anger in Kimiyo, and who had not even been looking at her, would likely not be able to catch what happened next. However, he would definitely feel as his body was yanked and thrown all of a sudden. There had been an unexpected force of hostility soaring straight at his head but Naomi had instinctively launched Azure away from it before it could connect. The man would find himself hurtling a few dozen feet to the ground as Naomi and Kimiyo clashed with a meteoric impact, releasing a shockwave that would accelerate Azure's descent to the ground. There was a scream of anguish from Kimiyo as she was blasted out of view, and a yelp from Kokoro as she was thrown away the same as Kokoro.

Unless Azure did something, he would crash into the ground just moments before Naomi landed in front of him, facing away towards where Kimiyo had disappeared. She growled wildly at the open air, as if expecting something. Then the black blur surged forth, throwing a flurry of blows into Naomi's body faster than she could react to them, albeit she didn't give an inch of ground to her. She tried her best to smash Kimiyo down with a haymaker, but it unfortunately missed and the youngest was able to retreat several feet. The two stood there with rigid fists, staring each other down viciously. Naomi had her eyes open for once, her usually mellow expression replaced with something monstrous. Kimiyo displayed an equally ferocious face of fury, and one could clearly see the fist-sized bruise that now marked her left cheek, presumably where Naomi initially hit her.

Kokoro could only watch from afar, having landed in her own personal crater off to the side, now kneeling in it and looking at the two helplessly. There was an amount of time where the sisters all just stared at each other, as if waiting for the other to make a move, until finally, Kimiyo broke the silence. ''This is the man who led us to war?! A man who let himself be broken because he lost his first fight?! He hasn't even managed to resolved his own issues and yet he's just let hundreds of people into conflict. They don't even know. They don't know who they're following because he put on a valiant speech. I... didn't even know. How PATHETIC!''

The words only kindled the fire that had been started now, causing Naomi to let out a deafening roar. The only thing stopping her from charging right now was the fact that it was her sister before her; her family duty. She was brimming with animalistic blue energy, while Kimiyo contested the aura with her own blazing crimson. The ground shook and the air became tense with Chi. ''You want to die? Fine, I'll deliver you your own personal death knell, right here. You're not fit to lead Vanguard, or anyone. You're not even fit to fight at all.''

ENTER THE HYBRID KING

AZURE IRAMASHA
ハイブリッドキング

It was inevitable it seemed. The broken little man had to stand up, even with what had entered his body. What had entered his mind and very soul, a darkness caused not by a defeat of himself, but a failure. One far, far too great. For a change, the flame that was sparking within Azure was not associated wth the heretic known as Husk. It was a sense of passion, one that seemed to beat forever within the man's chest. Even in such a broken state, he felt the intensity that poured from the girls. His words were horrible, stained with poor mentality and broken opinions. He was an idiot, and words couldn't be returned, that was more than obvious. But the mood, a tension in the air that could be sliced thin. It rocked the man's very mind as he continued forward with the girls.

Sadly, Kokoro wasn't wrong. Her words rang true as they "marched" ahead in the wild winds of the wastes. The Hybrid Leader known as the Vanguard's head, was wrong. Never had he been proven so utterly incorrect in his life. The whining of an animal could be associated with Azure's attitude at the current moment. He wasnt worth much in the state he held, especially the bandages that took quick care of his wounds being in such a tattered state. This was no time to be causing issues with others, let alone with some of his most powerful subordinates. Even with the quick thinking that filled the man's mind there wasn't much he could do now that he had spoken his final words. In a flash, the tension that was once thick as smoke had dissipated, the mood turning far darker than Azure had seemed to create it in the first place.

Only a blink of the eye had passed as Azure's body became enveloped in extensive pressure. Thrown? Dropped? It was hard to exactly pinpoint given his somber eyes, nevertheless however Azure had been sent flying in the complete opposite direction that Naomi's body had faced. Previously being held by the girl and now flying in the air, the haphazard fumbling of his movements only caused the shockwave that was brought from the girl's fists colliding to send him faster to the solid sand. In the next blink of an eye, Azure's body pressed itself against the cool sands of the Wastes as he skidded, hard, against its rocky mineral surface. Sand reaching areas unknown and the bandages that previously held his body together were now meddled with, if not completely torn. Standing slowly, Azure Iramasha slowly watched his surroundings swirl as in the third and final blink, Naomi had once again appeared before him. A shield, of sorts it seemed. Standing before him, the girl faced towards Kokoro and Kimiyo directly, ignoring the tattered male.

"Hm..."

The gruff cough that followed the questioning huff was horrendous, showing Azure's state even more clearly than the wounds that littered his body. The wounds themselves were clear now, given the fact they were no longer covered. The deep cuts that had been sown quickly and roughly littered his arms in their entirety. The bandages that held his stomach in a acceptable state had torn apart as well, a shirt rip causing the large gash and misshapen wound to be visible entirely. It was sown improperly compared to his arm and had gained some sort of infection. It could be taken care by the man himself, but it seemed he never took the time to care for himself. Nevertheless, Azure now stood tall, stepping forth behind Naomi's stoic stance. Kimiyo tried her best to remove Naomi from in front of Azure, throwing fist after fist in order to try to reach him. Each blow landed before the girl could react accordingly, Kimiyo's previous barrage coming to a halt as she swiftly moved herself away from Naomi's fist. The blow missed for the time being, her body retreating slightly away from the two.

Harsh words flowed from Kmiyo's mouth, and to Azure, they felt true. He believed he was a failure and what he had done meant no acception to the concept. She spoke of his fitness for the leadership of the Vanguard, his pathetic stature and how he spent his time now, even in these moments. Tattered. Broken. Disgusting, really. The words, however, sparked the same heat that once flowed throughout his body. The anger and disdain that flowed from her only pushed and pushed until there was no more to push. He was not the only to blame for his downfall, but he would be the one to recover entirely. On his own, or with the sisters.

"Naomi, Please. Stand down."

The raspy voice that spoke of pain and his sorrow previously only held authority now. Stepping forth, Azure Iramasha made his way directly a a yard in front of Naomi, bring his bloodied arm to his chest. A clenched fist held against his heart only tightened as he watched Kimiyo.

" You've made your point. If you think you can kill me, even in a state like this, then by all means. Maybe the Vanguard can get a real leader. But before you spout more misinformation, Kimiyo. Don't forget that you came for a reason. So did I."

The hoarse voice came to a soft tone as he choked on his own words, only slightly.

"Defeat or Victory doesn't matter. Not anymore. I've forgotten that, I don't come first. For the first time, I pushed everyone to an extent to keep myself down. To keep myself alone. I didn't do too well anyways, it seemed. Hahahahah."

Tearing at the tight shirt that sat against his bandages, the bandages themselves began to slowly burn away from the scars and wounds that spread against his skin's surface. The Chaos energy that enveloped Azure now was a firey power indeed, his stance shifting as he smiled like an idiot.

"C'mon. I'm sure you wanted your chance anyways, right?"

Artist: Destiny — Song: The Collapse

Her feet drove into the ground, pushing aside the rigid ground beneath her feet like it was soft and moldable like clay. Wind swept around her due to the tension in her Chi, producing unnatural atmospheric effects; one could swear the world was turning red. It was almost surreal, as dust and stones began to rise against the flow of gravity, floating towards the sky. The ground shook though no terrestial quake caused it. Within Kimiyo lived a wild, untamed spirit. Despite her astounding qualifications and rigorous training of the past, this spirit persisted and remained the single largest difficulty in becoming what she was born to be; a great leader. In this scenario, she felt she was so assuredly correct in her accusations that the consequences be damned. Misinformation? It was more that she felt misled. She thought she was following someone different from what she saw before her now.

And it was coming close to a tipping point. She wasn't fooled for long, Azure's true colors would seem to show before her now. Weak, cowardly, deficient; a man who would walk away from the men and women he lead into a war. What would have happened if it was not for them forcibly bringing him back? The thought sickened Kimiyo even more, like poison in her stomach. What was all this, if not a huge insult to everyone who followed him? Then, to put the cherry on the top, he thought he could resolve this matter with a simple contest, as though that would undo his wrong and determine him as the superior leader to her. Insulting. Offensive. Disrespectful. She grit her teeth so hard it felt like they would break, and the only response she could dish back out was a rage-filled grunt.

But, he had challenged her to a fight. There was nothing more that Kimiyo enjoyed more than fighting, and more than anything right now she wanted to beat this boy into a bloody pulp. Yes, he was taunting her into a fight—she knew that—but was willing to fall right into it. She clamped her fists tightly enough that her fingernails dug into her palms and drew blood, glaring at him with a deathly stare. She tensed, and waited; she was definitely going to charge but wasn't giving away when. It was when he next blinked that she acted, blasting forward like a rocket. The sound barrier was broken instantaneously and Kimiyo would be delivering a flurry of vicious strikes in less than the time it took for him to open his eyes. He would be flattened quickly and violently.

Azure's ears would be deafened from the shockwave of an overwhelmingly powerful strike. One strike. He did not feel any pain, but that was likely because nothing had touched him. Rather, only dust and debris would hit the front of his body, and he would see what exactly had occurred by the time he had finished his blink. Blue hair swung in front of his vision almost close enough to taste, belonging to that of the woman that once stood beside him but now was defiantly in front of him. Kimiyo, in the meanwhile, had been grounded. Her face was now buried into the dirt at Naomi's feet, and the rest of her body showed no signs of movement. When Azure's hearing would finally stop ringing, there would be no sounds left to hear. Just intense silence.

Kimiyo had been knocked out in an instant, and Azure would realize that they all stood in a small crater created by the force of Naomi's punch. One could assume that the woman had thrown it straight down on top of Kimiyo's head, knocking her downward before she could reach Azure. Naomi was shaking softly in front of the male, still holding her fist outward where it had impacted her sister's head. After a while, the sleepy Miyake would begin to let out a whine that gradually increased in volume, and then decreased back into silence again. Kokoro, who stood at the edges of the crater with a surprised look on her face, only gulped and shook her head, reeling from the shock of this entire scenario.

''...Now that that's over...'' she began, her voice weak but calm. ''Shall we go back to home base now? We shouldn't be wasting too much time out here. A war still goes on...''
