晶野 (Shoya; Field of Crystals): Rei's Reiryoku saturates an area within a 7 1/2 ft radius of her, allowing her to create structures of ice such as walls and spikes, from any non-being surface. Eg: Walls, furniture, rocks, the ground, etc. , and excluding people, Zanpakutou, etc. To create ice on a summoned material (eg an enemy that controls earth creating earthen walls) Rei must outrank the creator of said material by two SC. The ice forms with a speed, and has durability, equal to Rei's Zanjutsu

» Supporting Material: In Reis fight with Srath she was pushed to the edge of her life, but in the fight her Shikai determined her worthy of learning its name. The reason was mainly because even though Rei was getting beaten down she kept getting back up to continue towards her goal of stalling long enough for a higher ranked shinigami to show up. After this Hisana showed up, and saved Rei from an early death.

Rei had several conversations from people who she trusted, and this led to her getting a better mentality. On top of a heart to heart with her Zanpakto spirit.

[mod]Alright, Frost. So here's the thing. I'm cool with going ahead and allowing for an unlocking of Rei's shikai but it does feel like, if obtained, Rei would need to have it as a relatively unfinished product. I recognize that it doesn't exactly do anything grand but, as of right now, I think even in its current state it can be a bit extra compared to a newly formed Shikai. That being said, I have a few suggestions moving forward since I don't think there are HUGE issues at hand.

As a newly obtained Shikai I feel a 50 ft radius is pretty powerful when taking into account that it would span a full 100 feet, left and right up and down. With this being a newly earned and, relatively weak Shikai, I think it would make a lot more sense for it to be something like 7 1/2 ft, making it 15 ft in diameter. A lot more manageable and within the scope of a newly earned Shikai.

Very important to keep in mind that, as a newly obtained Shikai, Rei would need to develop it further in character.

Aside from that, I would like to say that if you're interested in it I believe this would constitute a Spirit Class upgrade to Spirit Class 8. You can also go ahead and deny that upgrade if you like and do more in character but aside from that, those are the only changes I think are necessary.

[mod]Alright. With changes made, I'll be going ahead and approving the Shikai and an upgrade to Spirit Class 8. Add the Shikai to the application and also adjust Rei's spirit class accordingly.
