Tch. Look at that, actual rats. He had hoped they might've been familiars created by the hollow since he remembered reading about a category of hollows that used little extensions of themselves as their means of power. Servant Users.

Alastor sucked at kido, enough that the explosion of fire luckily did little damage to him other than burn his hands rather than straight up explode in his face. Being thrown a little back and hoping that he cooked a few of the stupid rats he tried to get around to Chidori, aw shit. It was looking at her like dinner was served.

Next stupid idea. Run towards it from the side, leap and bring it down to cleave the mask. It was an outstanding move.

She was obviously wet though and so the waterlogged cat shook herself to little avail. It didn't matter though, she would fix it shortly.

"I want you to help me be stronger. I need more reiryoku to be a captain. Normally people tend to develop more as they work with their zanpakuto but... I don't want to use my zanpakuto."

There was a great deal of discomfort in the idea of using her zanpakuto. It wouldn't be too much of a secret that he couldn't pick from her tone but as for her form that also was the thing that had caused her to hesitate so far. She knew transforming would leave her naked and she take to the idea that well even though she had specifically stashed clothes in here so it would only be brief but still occur.

"Hadō #31, Shakkaho."

Pointing her paw in front of her at the ground she used the ambient heat from the hot flames to get rid of most of the moisture and dry off before steeling herself and shifting back into her normal form. She forced herself to look apathetic about it and didn't try to hide any of her figure. If she wanted the Onmitsukido then things like this couldn't bother her.

"No. I won't train as a cat. The cat form drastically reduces my capabilities."

Turning around to go fetch the clothes stashed behind a rock and begin to dress herself in a hakama and backless top typical for the Onmitsukido. When she was finished getting dressed in front of him she took a deep breath.

"Alright. Now I am ready to train."

Psychological Analysis

» Cynical: A woman that does not trust nor like others. She regards everyone with caution and distrust which makes her very disagreeable towards others. There is no fear of challenging a person or speaking her mind, sometimes even being provocative towards others just to make them annoyed, upset, or mad. There is very little charisma she possesses which makes her prefer to leave the personable aspects of the job to her captain.

» Perceptive: Erika is a far more external thinking person than she is reflective. Her weak sense of empathy makes understanding others harder but as a result she is very astute when it comes to things that are happening around her. She has more interest in objects, things, and doing things as opposed to thinking through them. It creates a strong sense of focus where her own detachment to internal conflicts brings out the state of thoughtlessness with ease, and the more mechanical mindset shines by taking in all of her external stimulus to process at once. It does however mean she is lacking in her own self-awareness.

» Honourable: Hardly one to care about others but Erika does hold her herself to an intense code of honour. Her word is law to herself and so Erika does not like to become wrapped up in a promise or become indebted to another person. There is an intense pride about this but it is not perfect. It is not uncommong for her to hide her insecurities and faults underneath the veil of strong principles by ignoring them, or trying to protect herself from others in the process.

» Honest: Erika is honest to others but not herself. The fact she won't relent on playing nice for others is enough to show anyone that she is not concerned about being a pretender for the sake of gain, fostering fake friendships, and so on. She absolutely detests those that lie and are deceptive though as a result of her own past experiences, people like Sosuke Aizen and Kisuke Urahara are the lowest of low in her mind but this is just her own issues with being honest with herself. It is easier to make an excuse and say that their attitudes are detestable for being unethical rather than accept she is just used to being betrayed by people like that.

Equipment

» Amenohouyoku [天乃鵬翼, Phoenix Wings of Heaven]: A sword forged by Erika, it is a peculiar blade due to it's blade being forged with trace amounts of the sekkiseki which creates the defensive barrier of Soul Society. It is a deadly blade due to its blade carrying over these properties, its user is capable of repelling reiatsu which makes it allow for Erika to cut through enemies without needing to be worried about attributes such as blut vene, hierro, or high reiatsu. It's a potent tool but not one she employs in every situation due to it being just as lethal to her as it is to any other soul.

Even with its defence-piercing properties, Erika's Amenohouyoku by nature of the sekkiseki in the blade will push the reishi apart of what it cuts which give it the stigma of being able to cut through anything - this is not the case though as sufficient density will resist the blade and the blade does not have anywhere near enough sekkiseki in it to vapourise reishi on contact.

It is a sword that is a zanpakutou [斬魄刀, Soul-Cutter Sword] by definition of it being a sword that will cut through souls, even if it is not a suitable vessel to become an asauchi due to the sekkiseki preventing any kind of spiritual energy imprinting on it. An important factor though with her Amenohouyoku though is it is only super effective against souls and spiritual bodies, against those made of kishi it is just a sword that cleaves through their reiatsu.

» Togatou: Kokujou [咎刀・黒縄, Sin Sword: Kālasūtra]: A sword forged by Erika, created using the quartz material of Hueco Mundo in the forging process. The Kokujou is a sword which is designed to be like an arrancar's zanpakuto which through wielding the blade the user draws on

» Vice-Captain (Commander): As the right-hand of the Captain Commander and Vice-Captain of the First Division, there is few resources within the Gotei United that are not available to her.

Powers & Abilities

» High Reiryoku Reserves and Control: A long serving vice-captain of the Gotei Thirteen, serving as vice-captain of the fifth division after Aizen's defection and the conclusion of the Winter War. Erika possesses quite a large pool of reiryoku to make use of. Her total pool of reiryoku is enough that she could qualify for a captain position if she so wished and while it has no elemental alignment, Erika's reiatsu is something that is very malleable and controlled.

While the pool itself is impressive, Erika's control over her reiryoku is far more impressive by her ability to apply it in ways to compensate or apply it to enhance her battle capacity.

» Impressive Speed and Reflexes: Unnaturally fast and quick is the best form of fighting potential that Erika has, she is a high-speed combatant that does not aim to get super strong and be able to rip apart mountains with her bare hands. Her fighting style is usually fast, nimble and done at a much faster rate than most normal people. She has trained her reflexes for years and her speed as well, it is easy for her to move fluidly and without much thought. Her body can move without her consciously thinking about it either, allowing near instantaneous reactions with her movements.

» Reikaku: Erika's reikaku can almost be described as a sixth sense, working in harmony with her other senses and instincts in situations to bolster the analytical skills of her's. Erika can use reikaku consciously and to a high level, primarily due to being blinded after a combat mission which forced her to develop her sensory skills in the time before she healed. Erika's use of sensory abilities is very advanced and should she be unable to use her eyes that is no issue for her. She is more than capable of fighting without the use of her eyes.

She is able to see in a three-hundred and sixty degree scope around her with her inner-eye, she is skilled enough with her reikaku to pick up on faint changes in a person's reiatsu and deduce just what that change was, being able to understand a person as well. Giving Erika a perceptiveness about her when it comes to analysis of a person's potential capabilities in a short amount of time. Her range is quite far and her attention to detail with this skill is not to be mocked.

» Kido Expert: As the basis of her Katanakaji can be found within the realm of kido, Erika is quite proficient otherwise with the way of applying reiryoku into the formation of spells. She is able to apply kido spells and integrate them into her swordplay which gave rise to her Matouryuu, through usage of them she is able to greatly bolster her fighting capabilities and utilise techniques such as two-fold incantation and incantation abandonment.

» Jindo [刃道, Blade Path]: An unorthodox style of shinigami magic that falls under the umbrella of kido albeit unclassified as such. Erika's Jindo is the incorporation of kido principles into her swordsmanship (zanjutsu/martial skill). A fusion of sorts where the usage of a sword becomes a form of magic in itself. It is rooted in breathing techniques, autosuggestion, and performing techniques to such a level that they become their own kind of incantation to create a spell. Jindo techniques are officially classified under her Matouryuu. Through the usage of her Jindo she is able to showcase many feats of swordsmanship that one might look at and say is impossible, but detaching themselves from the same restrictions as traditional kido due to the fusion.

Erika accomplishes this through the format of her modified kido and stating the technique name in substitute for the kido spell itself. For example, Hadō #58: Tenran becomes Gojū Hachi - Fuuryouki by allowing her to actualise the kido spell and then use it through the sword in an unorthodox fashion.


» Master Chef
She is well versed in the art of cooking and cuisine, made to learn it after Tsubaki made her take up the role of being in charge of cooking after she called painting and calligraphy an area she was not interested in studying, and said she'd rather be a housewife than do that. So Tsubaki made her take up that role and she became quite the proficient little chef, being able to cook innately and not from a cooking book.

Shinigami of Ten Thousand Swords

» Zanpakutō Knowledge
Erika possesses an immense amount of knowledge about zanpakutō, far more than the average individual could ever hope to achieve. Both due to the nature of katanakaji that forced her to study and understand zanpakutō and the relationship between it and shinigami, knowledge from the ability to have observed and witnessed Oetsu NImaiya at work in the creation of asauchi and the process from asauchi to zanpakutō. Her ability to build upon katanakaji greater than her predecessors is predicated on having an absurd exposure to opportunity and study into the primary weapons of the shinigami, and through discarding the technique for the sake of further growth in the field of zanpakutō themselves over the attempt to replicate hollow projections of them.

» Master Blacksmith
Due to her experience with the construction of swords and bladed weapons from Katanakaji, the witness of construction of weapons from many different sources and the time to delve into the art of metallurgy, Erika has an advanced understanding into the actual process of getting from raw material to the result of a weapon. If Erika were to need to create a sword from an image or an idea in her mind then she would be able to replicate it through the process of her blacksmithing, and the creation of these blades are often implemented as training tools to further enhance her myriad of sword styles to reinforce her moniker as the Shinigami of Ten Thousand Swords.

» Master of Ten Thousand Swords
Of all Erika's skills and abilities, her ability to wield a sword is first-rate. Through her five hundred years of existence she has never been far from a sword. Through the learning process of the Katanakaji she was trained to never become attached to a sword and to diversify her aptitude for wielding a sword to encompass any and all swords in order to create them. Even upon figuring out the technique to create swords from her reiatsu and mould them into shapes with distinct attributes there was the handling of those swords which were just as important to her. With the myriad of swords that were created from her power each one allowed for an unorthodox manner of wielding it which contributed to her renown for being able to wield so many swords to such proficiency.

Her very definition of a sword is stretched and distorted as a result. She wields a myriad of weapons with such proficiency that are not traditionally swords. If it has a blade, it is suitable to be considered a sword. A spear is just a sword with a long handle. She possesses a keen aptitude for applying the principles of many of her sword styles onto unorthodox weapons which only multiply her versatility and exemplify her title as a shinigami who can wield ten thousand swords.

Of her sword styles, she claims to possess one thousand named styles which she can use with a thousand different swords. The myriad of schools can be as simple as her Soutouryuu (双刀流, Twin Sword Style) which involves wielding two swords simultaneously or as abstract as her Kyotouryuu (虛刀流, Hollow Sword Style) which allowed for her to alter and control the properties of her created swords in the midst of battle to make them nigh-impossible to predict or account for the changes.


Kyotouryuu [虛刀流, Hollow Sword Style]*
The truest expression of her power, usage of this sword style entirely focuses around esoteric usage of her generated swords. None of these techniques are feasible in a traditional swordsmanship sense due to relying entirely on her ability to create weapons suited for it. An example of such a technique is Erika's Kyotouryuu - Nichirin where she circles a target and manipulates the blade to function more like a whip, eventually surrounding them and pulling it tight to eviscerate them. All applications of this sword style may as well be esoteric magic due to the swords that perform them are unique and temporary, she refers to it as the ultimate expression of unorthodox swordsmanship due to the level of deviancy there is in the techniques.

Sentouryuu [千刀流, Thousand Sword Style]
The most common expression of Erika's fighting style. It's a school of swordsmanship which is fundamentally aligned to her mastery of many different weapons. Sentouryuu's purpose is to utilise any sword with maximum efficiency. Steal or borrow a sword, use as required and then discard it before changing her style completely. It is a style of absolute defence and offence where Erika is able to effortlessly transition between a plethora of swords and keep in mind their locations, hiding

Watouryuu [鐚刀流, Poor Sword Style]

Dontouryuu [鈍刀流, Blunt Sword Style]
A style of Erika's that involves striking in such a manner that the blade does not cut. Often made use of for training purposes or when it is not preferable to cut someone, it instead involves usage of brute force. An example technique would be Shitonegaeshi, which immobilises an opponent with brute force by trapping them against the ground with the blade held millimetres from their face to discourage getting up.

Another example, which is of Erika's making rather than an official zanjutsu technique, is Saisekizan (砕石斬, Rock Breaking Slash) which utilises the sword's blunt back to deliver a strike which can split underlying bone without splitting the skin to pacify a target or prevent them from using the limb.

Shintouryuu [針刀流, Stinging Sword Style]
A style which is focused around speed and decisive attacks which can also disorientate. These often involve strikes that impair or agitate a target's senses, such as striking around the ears to disrupt one's hearing or sense of balance. They are often shallow cuts which wear down a target over time and ease one into a weaker position for the practitioner to deliver a finishing blow. It is a duelling style however and being used in large groups is difficult, it shines in one on one combat situations.

Matouryuu [魔刀流, Demonic Sword Style]
A sword style that involves the fusion between kido and swordsmanship, it's techniques involve manipulating kido spells in conjunction with sword strikes to be more overwhelming than what could be accomplished usually such as heating the blade with Hadō #31: Shakkaho to make the blade catch fire another example would be applying Hadō #1: Sho to cause an increase of force upon connecting with a blade. It particularly shines though with Bakudo, such as using Bakudo #26: Kyokkō to surround the blade in a veil that makes it difficult to gauge just how long the blade is and as a result make it incredibly hard to fight without knowing the length of Erika's sword.


» Manakan [真名勘, True Name Insight]

» Shunkensei [瞬剣製, Instant Sword Creation]
A technique which remains a derivative of katanakaji, however it lacks the same versatility found in being able to create swords which are modelled off another zanpakutō by copying the sword's history and attributes. It is the premise of creating swords however, it does not ascribe names to these weapons. "Katana", "Nodachi", "Tanto", "Naginata" and similar creations that fall under the definition of these things but remaining simple and lacking any great depth besides serving as weapons for her to utilise. The gaps of these creations are filled in, decoration, tsuba shape and ornamentation are all superfluous to Erika and so they are assigned at random for the sake of practicality.

» Manakan [真名勘, True Name Insight]
The ability to discern names of swords. An offshoot of the katanakaji which she has retained and expanded upon. Manakan allows for her to pull out a "true name" of a sword, it does not allow for her to discern what has not been uncovered so if a shinigami does not know the true name of their zanpakutō then she cannot draw out its name as the spirit has not wanted to give it. In a more practical sense though, it allows for her to acquire a powerful understanding of the zanpakutō the longer she is able to expose herself to it such as identifying its type, general idea of their power and whether or not they have learned its "greater names" (bankai, shikokai). The most powerful connection is through touching and clashing of blades, however it is passive that the longer she focuses on the blade the faster she will discern these details.

» Tameshigiri [試切, Testing Cut]
Due to her innate understanding of zanpakutō in the most literal way of how a swordsmith will test the quality of blades Erika is able to take hold of a zanpakutō and with the consent of the spirit make use of the blade as though it were her own zanpakutō scaling it up to one level below her own skill in zanjutsu if the sword possesses scaling off the skill. She can activate the bankai if she is aware of the zanpakutō's bankai and it has achieved the release prior to being used in this manner - additionally if there are prerequisites to activating this form then she must meet them ie. bankai can only be activated if the user is not severely injured.

Only one zanpakutō can be wielded in this manner and it is by no means a permanent acquisition of the sword due to being connected to another individual nor is this able to "steal" unless the zanpakutō spirit willingly opposes the shinigami which is covered by the player themselves as to how the shinigami's spirit will act.

» Kagutsuchi [迦具土, Shimmering Power]
A facet which is not attached to zanpakuto specifically but derived from her tameshigiri, it is the ability to draw out the fullest potential of a weapon while wielding - going so far as to be able to take it to its absolute limit before the weapon will explode due to the sheer power being forced out of it. She can only use this on weapons that are hollow (without spirits) as she is filling the empty sword with her own reiatsu and bringing them to a critical point before they will break from the stress.

» Saisenkou: Entouryuu [切斬閧炎刀流, Killing Stroke War Cry: Flame Sword Style]
Erika's saisenkou is fire-aligned, developed using the premise of Kagutsuchi on her zanpakuto. It is imbued with the elements of combustion and fuel to cause her zanpakuto to increase its overall output for a short period of time. It can be roughly compared to attaching a turbocharger to the sword to increase its short term performance but place the zanpakuto under stress.

Through the usage of Saisenkou Erika is capable of increasing the sword's capabilities by 300%, if used in a release state it will retain this augmentation by empowering all aspects of the release, the physical sword and its abilities, by 300%. Erika is able to sustain her Saisenkou for one one post per rank of her zanjutsu, or she can gain a boost equal for 100% per rank in one skill while duration being determined based off the other ie. 300% (Kido) for 5 rounds (Zanjutsu) or 500% for 3 rounds.

Overcharging her zanpakuto beyond 300% will cause her to be unable to utilise the release of her zanpakuto for the rest of the thread upon the conclusion of the saisenkou duration, and this cannot be staggered meaning that ending the Saisenkou period early will not allow her to reactive it later.

ZANPAKUTO INFORMATION

» Name: Unknown.

» Spirit Summary: Erika's manifestation is a peculiar zanpakuto spirit in the manner that it is the combination of Erika's shinigami powers and the power of her katanakaji, and does not behave like a normal zanpakuto spirit as a result. It's formation removed her capacity to utilise her katanakaji but it functions as a formless mirror. The personality and appearance is dictated the moment someone gazes upon it. Normally it looks like Erika with some alterations here and there, it will borrow appearances and personality traits from the individuals that look upon it or it will borrow attributes from people in those individual's history that have left a strong impression on them.

As a result it is not uncommon for it to appear as a middle-aged man, her adoptive mother, Sokobie or her captain with a vast disparity of personality traits from any of these individuals to compliment it. Sometimes it will appear as stern and quick to frustration or be as jubilant and cheerful as a young woman. There is no consistency to its attributes which makes it a very fickle spirit, requiring its master to sift through the myriad of superifical traits to find its core.

» Inner World: Erika's inner world is bleached. An arid world at a glance which is reminscient of a wasteland though the kind of wasteland that it presents as is determined mostly by her mental state. When she is content the wasteland aligns itself to a desert under a blazing sun but in a state of despair the desert freezes over and the grains of sand are turned into snow, sweltering heat is brought down to freezing temperatures. Natural Skills

» Impressive Speed and Reflexes: Unnaturally fast and quick is the best form of fighting potential that Erika has, she is a high-speed combatant that does not aim to get super strong and be able to rip apart mountains with her bare hands. Her fighting style is usually fast, nimble and done at a much faster rate than most normal people. She has trained her reflexes for years and her speed as well, it is easy for her to move fluidly and without much thought. Her body can move without her consciously thinking about it either, allowing near instantaneous reactions with her movements.

» High Reiryoku Reserves and Control: A long serving vice-captain of the Gotei Thirteen, serving as vice-captain of the fifth division after Aizen's defection and the conclusion of the Winter War. Erika possesses quite a large pool of reiryoku to make use of. While the pool itself is impressive, Erika's control over her reiryoku is far more impressive by her ability to apply it in ways to compensate or apply it to enhance her battle capacity.

» Damage Mitigation: By focusing her reiatsu into herself she can create a thick barrier of energy which reduces incoming damage to her person. By further focusing her reiatsu around a specific region rather than her entire body she can gain a greater defensive value but leaving the rest of herself exposed - using it in such a way requires her to be focused and be able to anticipate her opponent correctly.

» Power Augmentation: By focusing her reiatsu and concentrating it, she is capable of bypassing the reiatsu of another who might be stronger than her. The caveat being that they must not be applying their greater reiatsu protectively and so it is mostly effective against those who are not as adept with control over their reiryoku and reiatsu.

» Psychological Attacks: Against those of weak mental they can be dazed when exposed to her reiatsu, instilling a feeling of fear or dread. At extreme cases it can have the effect of making an individual feel as if they've already been struck down or that the situation is hopeless though a strong-willed individual won't find this as impactful.

» Physical Attacks: Releasing her reiatsu she is able to generate shockwaves or launch it as plain energy attacks, often from swings of her sword rather than waste time by performing kido.


» Reikaku: All Shinigami have the inherit ability to sense energy, whether they are aware or not a shinigami uses both their eyes and reikaku to see, a skilled user like Erika can use reikaku consciously however and to a high level, primarily due to being blinded after a combat mission which forced her to develop her sensory skills in the time before she healed. Erika's reikaku can almost be described as a sixth sense, working in harmony with her other senses and instincts in situations to bolster the analytical skills of her's.

She is able to see in a three-hundred and sixty degree scope around her with her inner-eye, she is skilled enough with her reikaku to pick up on faint changes in a person's reiatsu and deduce just what that change was, being able to understand a person as well. Giving Erika a perceptiveness about her when it comes to analysis of a person's potential capabilities in a short amount of time. Her range is quite far and her attention to detail with this skill is not to be mocked. A potential use of this technique is being able to accurately make a guess as to what kind of potential powers a zanpakuto could possess or the volume of energy a being has left. Erika's use of sensory abilities is very advanced and should she be unable to use her eyes that is no issue for her. She is more than capable of fighting without the use of her eyes.

» Kido Expert: As the basis of her Katanakaji can be found within the realm of kido, Erika is quite proficient otherwise with the way of applying reiryoku into the formation of spells. She is able to apply kido spells and intergrate them into her swordplay which gave rise to her Yōkujakuryū, through usage of them she is able to greatly bolster her fighting capabilities and utilise techniques such as two-fold incantation and incantation abandonment.

» Swordsmanship: Erika is most proficient with her use of swordsmanship. She has numerous styles that she created and developed using her ability Katanakaji and just her intent for pursuing the pinnacle of swordsmanship. Her swordsmanship cannot be defined or restricted to conventional means.

» Gokkotōryū [極虛刀流, Ultimate Hollow Sword Style]
The truest expression of her power, usage of this sword style entirely focuses around esoteric usage of her generated swords. None of these techniques are feasible in a traditional swordsmanship sense due to relying entirely on Katankaji to complete the associated techniques. An example of such a technique is Erika's Gokkotōryu - Nichirin where she circles a target and manipulates the blade to function more like a whip, eventually surrounding them and pulling it tight to eviscerate them. All applications of this sword style may as well be esoteric magic due to the swords that perform them are unique and temporary.

Hoshōgekiryū [鯨衝撃流, Whale Crashing Style]
A style of Erika's that involves striking in such a manner that the blade does not cut. Often made use of for training purposes or when it is not preferrable to cut someone, it instead involves usage of brute force. An example technique would be Shitonegaeshi, which immobilises an opponent with brute force by trapping them against the ground with the blade held milimetres from their face to discourage getting up.

Another example, which is of Erika's making rather than an official zanjutsu technique, is Saisekizan (砕石斬, Rock Breaking Slash) which utilises the sword's blunt back to deliver a strike which can split underlying bone without splitting the skin to pacify a target or prevent them from using the limb.

Senshōryū [蝉声流, Cicada Singing Style]
A style which is focused around speed and decisive attacks which can also disorientate. These often involve strikes that impair or aggitate a target's senses, such as striking around the ears to disrupt one's hearing or sense of balance. They are often shallow cuts which wear down a target over time and ease one into a weaker position for the practioner to deliver a finishing blow. It is a duelling style however and being used in large groups is difficult, it shines in one on one combat situations.

Yōkujakuryū [妖孔雀流, Enchanting Peacock Style]
A sword style that involves the fusion between kido and swordsmanship, it's techniques involve manipulating kido spells in conjunction with sword strikes to be more overwhelming than what could be accomplished usually such as heating the blade with Hadō #31: Shakkaho to make the blade catch fire another example would be applying Hadō #1: Sho to cause an increase of force upon connecting with a blade. It particularly shines though with Bakudo, such as using Bakudo #26: Kyokkō to surround the blade in a veil that makes it difficult to gauge just how long the blade is and as a result make it incredibly hard to fight without knowing the length of Erika's sword.

Unnamed Style
This particular style is a more sentimental one. It stems from the use of practice similar to her mother's Tsu-Naku-Kiru-Ryuu, where it relies on a person's understanding of weapons to make the most out of them. Conditions such as size, shape, weight and even ornaments need to be understood to effectively use this style as it forces the wielder to be able to fight without hesitation or thought and absolute focus is required to make the most out of it. Placement of weapon, perfect recollection of the entire battle and anticipation as to how it will develop. Essentially, Erika's strategical prowess with this in being able to set-up traps and perform difficult to predict feats such as not forgetting a detail as a dropped weapon minutes earlier and then still making use of that in the heat of a fight.


» Master Chef: She is well versed in the art of cooking and cuisine, made to learn it after Tsubaki made her take up the role of being in charge of cookin after she called painting and calligraphy an area she was not interested in studying, and said she'd rather be a housewife than do that. So Tsubaki made her take up that role and she became quite the proficient little chef, being able to cook innately and not from a cooking book.

Shinigami of Ten Thousand Swords

» Katanakaji [刀鍛冶, Swordsmith] A unique skill that was born thousands of years ago, created by the First Captain of the Tenth Division in her pursuit to create something that would be superior to Oetsu Nimaya's zanpakuto. In a sense she succeeded, the creation was Katanakaji, which she taught to her three students. Despite her aspirations they were cut short by Central 46 deeming it illegal since it removed the capacity for one to imprint on Oetsu's ausauchi and given that it didn't offer anything as powerful as release forms that its predecessor offered the practice was made illegal and unable to be taught to anyone else making the captain and her three students the first and last legal users of the art.

The premise of the ability is simple, the creation and generation of swords and weapons. Where instead of making a weapon that reflects a manifestation in a person's soul, the user creates a weapon that reflects a name. The creation process has made it more similar to kido than actual zanjutsu in a sense. Because of the functionality the swords and weapons created are more akin in nature to kotodama - power associated to words and meaning.

Erika's application was taught to her by her teacher, a deceased Kenpachi and one of the students of the captain that developed it. Despite that she possesses an incredibly advanced skill in it to the point where she has been able to create the closest thing to an actual zanpakuto than any other. The sword Sokobie, with its innate meaning being - "my reflection" - it should be noted though that this still cannot be defined as a zanpakuto despite reflecting Erika as a person. It is not born of an ausauchi and therefore incomplete compared to a true zanpakuto.
    » Katanagatari [刀語, Sword Tale]
    A power which is based on creating a replica of another sword with a story, ie. the creation of imitation zanpakuto. Due to the nature of katanakaji which is the simple principle of making swords - combined with using a template as something she has witnessed. Erika is able to create a sword with attributes based off a zanpakuto (or any other weapon) she has seen, though this is a hollow shell. There is no spirit, nor if she copied a spirit weapon's design would it carry the same properties as a actual spirit weapon. These are hollow imitations at the end of the day which only allow her to utilise the powers.

    In addition, she does not gain the intuitive knowledge of how to use these powers. If she were to try and copy a fire-aligned zanpakuto there is no guarantee that she wouldn't hurt herself by a lack of understanding, there is no greater evolution of these swords and ultimately an individual who possesses their zanpakuto ultimately possess a connection with the sword that she could never have.

    » Ausachi Incompatibility: She is unable to bond or imprint with an ausachi, as long as she possesses Katanakaji, she cannot actually do such. While it may be possible with intervention, if said could remove the effects of katanakaji on her being that she could maybe bond with an asauchi but such a thing would cause her to need to discard this ability.


Reverse Release: Sayadōji

» Summary: Considered to be the evolved and overall the perfected version of Erika's previous form under the same name. It operates on many of the same principles hence why Erika often refers to it as "Counter Release" [Sakakai]. This release operates on the inverse principle of Shikai in where the user pours their energy into their zanpakutoto induce a higher level of power through transformation. Erika, who cannot possess a zanpakuto spirit inside of her soul, has resolved to use Sayadōji which allows her to draw from the separate pool of reiryoku which would otherwise be her spirit's.

This has the effect of inducing a transformation upon her body by using it as a catalyst effectively becoming the zanpakuto in this sense. This form has been stated that it shouldn't be aspired to achieve as Erika is a case where she cannot habour a zanpakuto spirit inside her, this results in permanent damage to another person's zanpakuto if they were to try it themselves.

» Power: Not a release form that is anything particularly special. Besides the physical changes that she has occur to her body, there are very little in the way of powers due to it mostly pulling on an additional pool of reiryoku to force her body up to a higher level of power.

Her physical skin becomes hard like proper metal due to taking on attributes of a "sword" and when she makes strikes it appears as though people get cut if they lack the durability similar to running one's hand over a sword's blade. This form is equivalent to Bankai - though it lacks much in the way of large and flashy powers that most would expect from a real Bankai.

A large grin played onto the face of the red head as he felt the binding kido dissipate from Jetta being enclosed in the large structure that rose up to surround her, his awareness of what his little sister was up to in that big cage was limited but he assumed she'd be moving around trying to avoid the lacerating blades however while he knew his sister was smart he never thought she'd actually blow herself up.

As he stood in his shikai state the prodigy stood there with a patient aura as he waited for his sister to finally be defeated however that was not to be and the sudden explosion shattered his kido, in order to avoid taking any damage from the explosion he erected a barrier to stop the shock wave and fire as it consumed his vision and made him lose sight of his sister.

Ability Used:


As the dust settled and he saw his little sister standing in front of him, still defiant with her cocky comment which made Zeda smirk a little. He was definitely sure that that was his sister, minus a good deal of her clothes, he moved quickly. Throwing himself towards the smaller girl he would try to get up beside her with his hand moving to punch her stomach.

"Hadō #31: Shakkaho!"

At the last moment before the hand would come into contact with her it exploded into red flames and if it touched her she'd feel herself blown away from Zeda's form and sent flying a few metres away.

Ability Used:


"Come now Jetta, just give up and let me heal you. That little form of your's can't take much more can it? That explosion really took it out of you so you best settle down now before you do actually hurt yourself."

If Jetta conceded the older sibling would walk over to help her up, however knowing his sister's fiery attitude he knew that was unlikely and if she didn't he'd stand there with his form wide open for an attack which would come from her if she wanted to try and beat him while he gave her this opening, but as it was Zeda he could easily turn it into a trap if he wanted.

Henrex hadn't even gotten his strike in. Someone blocked him. This was the second time that he had been denied to attack. A random wall had came out of nowhere and stopped him, letting him crash into it and hit his face and nose. Recoiling and flying back with a hand on his nose, with his teeth clenched in rage. The grip on his sword tightened, and then he heard something. The voice of the girl who had called him pathetic. His eye slowly shifted into her direction.

"Are you really complaining about more backup? Quit being bitchy. It's cute, but not necessary."

Henrex's eye moved away from her, then back towards the person who had sent the wall towards him, forcing him to stop. It was....Kakine Yuudeshi. His eye narrowed with annoyance. It was annoying that he had be denied to attack twice. He said that....it seemed like he wanted to be dead. Sighing to himself, he turned towards the Right Hand of the Soul King. His eye locked onto him. Saying nothing, Henrex simply prepared himself to attack again. However, he wasn't going to attack immediately. Instead, he would sheath his sword. Raising his right hand and pointing his index finger at Stefan, Henrex would recite the incantation for a very widely known Kido spell in the Hadō section. Hadō #31, Shakkaho.

"Ye lord. Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man. Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south."

A red orb of energy sparked to life upon the palm of Henrex Astillon's hand. The orb sparked and flashed with the lightning of the spiritual spell. Opening his eye, he allowed the Kido spell to leave the palm of his hand, flying towards the Vizard. He may not have been the best with Kido, but he did know how to use it. Turning towards Stefan, he slowly moved his hand to his sword. Wrapping his pale, gloved fingers around the hilt, he simply stared at the Vizard.

Sliding the weapon from it's sheath, Henrex immediately lowered the weapon to his side. He felt strangely calm. He felt no anger. No fear. Nothing. He simply felt...at ease. His eye slid around in the socket to the others in the area. Zen was down, and so was Carter. Two captains down. This left three moderately powerful Shinigami, the Right Hand of the Soul King, and a Vizard who could probably kill them faster than they could move.

Henrex was outmatched, but he knew that he had to do. Survive. He didn't have to win, but he had to survive. He still had things he had to do. He wasn't going to die today. Re-adjusting the scarf around his face, and spreading the black and purple wings on his back, Henrex prepared himself to fight. Denied to attack twice spent a message throughout his head. He wasn't thinking straight. He had needed to calm down and think. Now that he had, he was ready.

Sophia noticed the excitement and nervousness all surrounding the petite Shinigami's face. She did her best to hide her excitement as well. She shuffled the heels into the ground shifting the dirt below her heels. She managed to say, "We're like sisters!" she continued to follow with a soft giggle. She saw Yuki drink with excitement, "I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm using Kido to keep them cold, I was hoping it worked." As she walked away, her hand was held with firmness and force. It wasn't necessarily painful, but it was definitely demanding. Sophia looked back with a cold stare, but realized it the tutor so her eyes had settled in to the golden warmth it usually was. She gently let him tug her towards him and got as close as she could to him. She shyly exclaimed, "Me? You need me?" She slipped her fingers intertwined this his, she wanted to feel his spiritual pressure and energy. She wanted to read him as best as she could. Using her abilities of acute spiritual sensitivity she was trying to feel his emotions and his intentions. Looking deeply into his eyes, she couldn't help but smile at him, suddenly

"Sorry, Miss Sophia Asamiya, but actually it's exactly the opposite. A beautiful woman like yourself is actually exactly what we need right now. If you don't mind walking this way with me. Yuki, get up and get ready, I have another exercise for you."

The moment was broken when Kamui handed Yuki a long piece of soft cloth. Sophia's face went flush. Her heart began to race and the rays of sunshine cause her eyes to glow with a golden radiance. She walked with them to the center of the circle. Although she loved battle, Sophia hadn't fought in a while, he heart began to pound in excitement. Her hands shook with excitement as she looked onward at Yuki. She licked her lips casually and looked back to Kamui. As she looked over to him she saw his serious look and Kamui sternly expressed,

"I know you said you specialize in healing, but the Kido Corp mandates some flexibility at least so I imagine a Director has some aggressive tricks up her sleeve."

Sophia smiled coyly and licked her lips, "I have experienced battle before... Just a little bit." She gently placed her hand on the handle of katana and pat it gently. A faint of memory of her dueling someone crossed her mind, as she cut them, she would instantly heal the injuries. The muscles throughout her body tensed for a moment. She gently took a deep breath to settle everything down. Sophia bit her lip and closed her eyes, breathing in deeply and calming herself.

Before the battle started, One would notice Sophia definitely cared about her hair more than most individuals. Slowly, she unraveled the pink silk ribbon that held the tight high chignon in her hair. She pulled her hair back and loosened tousles of her hair. Tying her hair tightly into a high ponytail, "Ahh.... Much better." As they neared opposite sides of the fields she stood confidently. Sophia's rosewater and strawberry perfume filled the air as she walked, the scent dispersing through out the air. Yuki's animal-like senses led her to sniff the air, obviously she would sense Sophia rather quickly. Sophia stepped back a bit, her kimono folding under her position. She assumed a tall stance and whispered to herself, "Hadō #31. Shakkahō."

A flash of pink light danced around her and culminated into a small crimson ball of energy within her hand. She guided the ball gracefully up her arms and positioned them at Yuki aiming steadily. Sophia paused for a moment in confusion and thought to herself, "Was she supposed to be on the offensive?" Suddenly, Yuki quickly dashed forwards. She started in a curved path. Although she was blinded, it was still unpredictable what she was going to do. Was she going to shunpo? Was she going to draw her sword? After a moment, Yuki jumped in the air and soared towards Sophia. Sophia quickly spun gracefully and launched the ball of energy on the ground, the blast should have had enough force to knock Yuki back and help Sophia launch herself back. Using the blast Sophia managed to somersault and handspring backwards. Looking up as quickly as she could, the smoke caused her to blinded as well. Sophia sighed and rubbed the back of her head, "Maybe that wasn't the best strategy!" She giggled blowing a kiss at Kamui.

Looking back at the smoke clearing, she re-positioned herself to the eastern side of the circle. Sophia dashed as quickly as possible. While running along the perimeter she was gauging the distance between her and her opponent, she needed to calculate the speed at which her spell would need to be released to be the most effective. Bringing her arms up and doing the appropriate hand movements she exclaimed in a sweet sing-song voice,"Jikai seyo rondanīni no kokken! ! Ichidoku shi yakiharai mizukara nodo o kaki kiru ga ī!" In the middle of her hands swirling pink and white energies formed, after a moment the swirling energies formed a golden ball of glistening energy, "Bakudō #9. Hōrin!" After she said the spell, a tendril of spiraling golden energy shot out soaring towards Yuki. It danced through the air with speed and power, aiming to hold down Yuki for the remainder of their time left their battle.

It wasn't hard for her to navigate through the Rukongai. Traveling deep within the districts, she brought with her a some rations and medical supplies. She had one goal in mind, "Help anyway I can.." Sophia traversed through the forest and towns providing any modicum of aid she could provide. She was south of the gates, nearing district 78. The air was dry and she was carefully surveying her surroundings.undisturbed. As far as she can tell the town felt empty. The sun was beating on her back and if there was one thing she hated it was super hot weather. She began to walk toward a small enclosure of trees. It seemed peaceful, as she looked around there was a very small blood trail on the ground. Sophia dropped to a knee and dipped her fingers in it, "This is fresh.." She stood up with any hesitation and called out, "Anyone here? I saw some blood back there, I can help!"


After a little bit of searching, Sophia finds a young boy on the outer rim of the town. Quickly, she notices something's not right about him. Sophia's face furrows with worry as she ran full speed towards the young boy. Dropping to her knees, she quickly begins to examine the boys injuries. Her skill in combat may not be up to snuff with the other graduates, but her skill with healing is exceptional. Sophia was expecting to see small injury or dehydration, but her eyes widen in horror as she finds his injuries are much more grave. She immediately begins to channel healing energies into the large bleeding laceration across his chest. With her tail, she quickly finds a medical tool that helps with staunching blood. Sophia's hands and tails move with agility of a seasoned surgeon. She was able to resuscitate the boy and bring him to consciousness. As the boy awakes his eyes open in fear, he whispers with trepidation in his voice, "Miss, Run..."



Sophia tilts her head back in confusion, "Run?" Movement could instantly be sensed within the forest around her. Sophia quickly dressed the wounds and bandaged him as quickly as she could. She looked up, tracing her fingers on the ground, her fingers being trailed by a red-light. Trying to find exactly what direction the sound was coming from, she whispers to herself, "Hadō #12. Fushibi..." As she whispers a thin translucent net begins to form around her and the insignia she put on the ground begins to glow brighter. As the rustling from the tress comes from the south, she began to chant,

"Kunrinsha yo! Chiniku no kamen, banshō, habataki, hito no na o kansu mono yo! Shōnetsu to sōran, umihedate sakamaki minami e to ho o susume yo!"

Pausing for a second to look behind her, there it was, a bloodied tusked hollow. Something was odd about it, it was extremely animalistic. Sophia noticed it looked almost figure of a humanoid. She swung her hand around her and in a low hushed voice, "Hadō #31. Shakkahō". There was a flash of bright pink energy, then the air was suddenly still. The tusked hollow immediately started at her and the little boy. Flicking her wrist in an instant, a huge ball of bright opaque red energy soared through the sky landing a direct hit. Immediately she began to redress his wounds, "Let's run!
As she gently picked up the boy, the tusked hollow, although severely injured proceeded to run at them. Sophia turned her arms away from the hollow and as the hollow came near, a pink translucent net unraveled on the hollow. Slowly her tails crawled up the hollow's body, and she smiled, "You like to cause pain to others?" The tails wrapping his body began to encroach throughout his torso. Reaching his neck, Sophia licked her lips and bit down casually as her tail began to strangle him. The hollow growled, and without skipping a beat, she drew her sword and immediately swung her hips and dug the blade into the hollow's throat. Kenta knew that he needed to be prepared for whatever this guy threw at him and the Quincy, "I'll have to get her name later," he watched their battle, analyzed it, trying to find any weakness in the Ziamichi, but for now he couldn't find one, hell he could barely keep up with the fight he was even watching. Then the coffins finally made their way to the surface, and cracked open, "If we're going to survive this, we'll have to give this battle everything we got!" Kenta hadn't heard this much determination from his Zanpakutō in years, "I'm not planning on dying," he raised his Zanpakutō straight in front of himself, "You better not!"

Kenta placed his palm on the blade of his sword and said a phrase he hadn't uttered since his banishment, "Release your Fragrance, Eregantou~Idōmēkā!" a significant burst of power erupted from where the Vizard stood, soon revealing a Hachiwara in place of the Wakizashi, but just as long. "We got company," Kenta spoke out loud to himself and his spirits as the faceless demon came to challenge him. The initial strikes from this towering pale figure caught the Reaper off guard, with it striking not only him, but the ground, cutting off Kenta's vision.

Now the exile was dodging to the best of his ability away from the whips that originated from the pale giant, with it scoring several hits on Kenta, "If I'm your top priority, how about you get some more of me!" Kenta stabbed into the air above him. seemingly stabbing into reality itself before removing his blade. The hole then starts to glow a pulsing black as four pulses of spiritual energy shot out and soon formed to become four identical clones of the Vizard. Soon, there were five Kenta's fighting against Slenderman, with the original leading the assault, slashing at Slenderman with precise hits where his clones gave him an opening.

"Kenta! The guns! Let's see what they can do," agreeing with her Kenta planted his feet upon Slenderman's chest, then pushed off as hard as he could. As he flew through the air, the former Lieutenant back flipped in mid-air while pulling out one of the pistol, he pointed the gun at Slenderman and pulled the trigger, "Hadō #31. Shakkahō!"
